Have the equipment in place and people to handle it. I had to go to two different locations. When I got to this one I had to wait 30 minutes for a man who knew how to do u haul to get there to handle my reservations.

Started the trip off with the locations system being down and unable to check me in, had to do so myself and had to call the Uhaul support line for help. When I asked the representative to help walk me through the process I was told simply "No" and passed on to another representative. Ultimately figured out the process myself no thanks to the location or the support line. The location failed to disclose to me that the dolly and mattress pads that I ordered were "stolen the night before." I opened the trailer and discovered that I did not have the dolly or mattress pad myself. The location Rep told me that they themselves would refund me once I came back. During the trip the battery to the vehicle died for reasons unknown. The response time for this by UHaul roadside assistance was speedy and besides the poor equipment, the response time for this was arguably the only highlight. When I returned the UHaul to the location I had parked in an area that was not designated for parking as there was no parking available in the lot. When I went in to speak to the location reps about the refund they had told me they would process that morning they belligerently told me I couldnt park in the area I had, despite there being no other space in the lot available to park in. When I finally was able to bring up the refund they told me they would process they told me that "the person who is in charge of that is not here" this was told to me by the same person who spoke to me that morning. Overall terrible location, I thought the reviews on the location were just one off problems at first but being in the situation myself, I understand the frustration by previous patrons.

I recently rented a van from The Stop and Fuel Location on Bay Shore Road in Deer Park, NY and wanted to share my experience for your consideration. 1. Van Condition and Cleanliness: The van was clean and in like-new condition, which was excellent. 2. Customer Service: The pick-up process could have been smoother. The U-Haul mobile app and the gas station attendant were not very helpful, leading to delays and the need for the manager's assistance. 3. Communication: Instructions through the app were ineffective, and the app itself did not facilitate a smooth pick-up process. 4. Fuel Level: The fuel level was 5/8, which was more than sufficient for my needs. 5. Mechanical Issues: Fortunately, there were no issues with the van during the rental period. 6. Pricing: The pricing was reasonable, and I have no complaints in this regard. 7. Return Process: The return process was marred by issues with the mobile app again. The gas station manager was unhelpful, and I had to resort to the U-Haul web page on my mobile phone for the return, which was a bit cumbersome. 8. Mobile App/Website: The mobile app needs improvement to ensure a smoother rental and return experience. 9. Additional Fees: No surprising or unexpected fees were encountered, which was appreciated. 10. Recommendation: I would not recommend U-Haul without warning others about the issues with the mobile app. I hope this feedback proves helpful in enhancing the overall customer experience. The process to get the keys with mobile device option was lengthy. I did it prior but had to re input info and license pictures. Having to call someone else to verify my rental was Not really understood why this step was part of the process The truck needs some work. It vibrated very badly.

Only there's issues in U-Haul app, I was on correct location and the app say not the correct location, and some more error. Then I called U-Haul customer support, to complete the process.U-Haul needs to fix the app for customer

My reservation included moving pads. These pads were not in the truck when I picked it up. I was still charged for them and charged even more for not returning the pads that I never received in the first place. Wonderful scam to "pad" profits.

the person is rude and unprofessional. No knowledge about computers and had to go to another gas station of the same dealer to get the key code and back to this place for my rental truck. They also overcharged for gas. Overall very disappointing service. Avoid this place.

Air pressure was low in the vehice. I had to go to 2 different places just to rent it and then when i told the person about the low air pressure, response was "its not my job". They were too rude and egoistic. I was also charged extra for fuel, although i got it back after calling the customer service. Never recommending this to anyone.

rental experience was great. However, we filled the tank before returning it and yet were billed as if the tank was EMPTY!!!! How is such a mistake made? Now we have to spend extra time working this out :-(

The Uhaul itself was clean, neat easy to drive and was large enough to hold most of our things, but next time I would do the pickup with the app like I did the drop off; It was so much easier doing it myself then dealing with the guy at the counter. They also hadn't included the dolly I requested in my reservation and the pickup location didn't have one available but I was able to dispute the charge on the app during the drop off. Lastly just be prepared to spend more then the $19,99 all their vehicles advertise, they charge $0,99 a mile and if you bring it back with less than a full tank, they charge you for gas too.

I tried calling the site every from 8:00 am till 11:00 am.,nobody answered the phone. Went to the site and the person was polite, but it was hard to understand him. I asked for a receipt to show me what I was responsible for and he said he emailed it. What I received was a rental contract. I wanted a receipt to show starting miles, gas and how many miles I have in my agreement. Never received it until after I returned my truck and was informed I exceeded the allowance.

I got to the location 3 minutes before my reservation time which was at 4:00 pm Saturday August 6. The employee at the gas station tells me his boss left for the day and he can't help me. Told me to go to another location where I could find him, drove further away and made me waste time to find out that the van wasn't in the other location that that's where he fills the information in the computer and has to drive back to the original location to get the van. Not only did I waste time I wasted more gas on my own car to get to have the van given to me. The "boss" told me that I was lucky I was getting a van since I was late, I was never late I was only late because he wasn't present in the other location originally and he was being nasty and rude. I don't understand how business is ran this way it's awful and not only I wouldn't recommend someone I would never do business with uhaul if this are the type of people that are put in place to run your service. Not only was I late for my pick up I had scheduled at 5 I had to deal with a messy van that smelled like someone had done #2 in it. Very very very disappointed and very angry customer.

Your location technician was horrible. He did not know the online system to confirm my appointment. He was rude. He told me he didn't want to give me the truck, his excuse being that someone else has a reservation. I was that "someone else" and the truck was there for me, and the appliance hand truck I ordered was even included. He eventually called Customer service, and they explained to him the truck was for me. This took 30 minutes. I returned with the truck 90 mins early (1130 am). I even put in more gas than was necessary. No one was there to receive the truck. I used the online check-out link that was texted to me. The link instructed me to leave the keys in the uhaul drop box. There was no drop box on site. I waited a while, then gave up. I left the key in a crate next to the front door of the location. I even took a picture of the key in its location, just in case, and pictures of the truck to be sure I wouldn't get charged for damages that I did not cause. I received a phone call the next day (today), from the (Ahem) "gentleman" who rented the truck to me demanding that I bring back the keys, and that I was going to be charged for "every second until the keys are returned to him". I explained, or tried to explain the situation to his satisfaction, that: he was not there, there was no drop box, so I left the keys in a semi secure location. He found the keys and started yelling at me that I should have called him. I explained that I don't have his phone number. He again yelled at me that I should have googled his number and that I have no excuse. Then, he hung up on me. I was overcharged $40 for this rental. I assume the $39,95 rental fee is for an additional rental day?? I did not rent this truck for an additional day. I returned it early, as promised, while following your online instructions to the best of my ability. This includes checking in and out with your location services. U-Haul will reverse the additional $39,95 rental fee by the end of business TODAY 6/30, or I will cancel the entire charge with my credit card. I will never return to the location I rented the truck from. They don't deserve my business. If U-haul makes me cancel my credit charge for this transaction, I will also never give U-haul my business again. My experience yesterday and today has been horrendous.

Don't know the reasons for the poor service I received at this location, I was shorten the returning time of my rental, I have been over charge on this rental and no, I will not recommend this dealer. A good long standing product like U-Haul should consider better management for their product, advertised as "24/7" I was not given that service (see my two phone calls related) But I was charged way over a reasonable charge like your emailed summary statement send to me from uhaul direct. Sorry but very disappointed. Thank you for reading my rant. Unsatisfied customer.

Proprietor needs to be more proactive when it's time to rent vehicles. He has 2 rental locations and moves between the two. The people he leaves on site have no knowledge of how to rent the vehicles. Very unprofessional.

This location is terrible, the man that gave us the keys looked inconvenienced when we arrived, and the hand truck I paid for wasn't in the truck. When we returned the truck (on time) he had my husband move it around the parking lot several times and didn't even want to inspect it. We reminded him again of the missing hand truck and he assured us we would not be billed for it. Not only were we still billed for it but he didn't check the truck back in on the computer until 2 hours after we dropped it off so now we were charged for an additional day as well. When I called to address this he said he can't help me and I need to call uhaul to take it up with them

The man could not quote me a price upfront then when I returned the vehicle he claimed he had to check it in with uhaul but couldn't when I asked what I would owe he said he didn't know then he called me the following day telling me to bring him $100 cash when I questioned him he said he didn't want me to have any issues with uhaul then when I refused he called the following day telling me the same thing I still refused and said I would deal with uhaul directly and whatever I owe they will tell me and I can pay them

He stuck me with a fuel charge. Drove it 95 miles and put $20/3,59-gal in before I brought it back. Those are facts. I have pictures and receipts. Way to screw the customer. Bravo shop n gas owner at 257 Bay Shore Rd, in Deer Park NY. DO NOT EVER RENT FROM HIM.

I filled gas up to the amount received and on the contract prior to returning and yet They under reported the the fuel level and charged me for 5 gallons of fuel- when I called them they said just report us and didn’t even acknowledge what they did

Gentlemen at the location had no idea what the process was. Had to do everything over my phone with a Uhaul Rep. Also upon my return ( at Noon) there was no one at the station to process my return Again had to use my phone to process and then had to return the key 2 hours later

Remove this as a drop location. Person there would not accept my uhaul and had me go somewhere else 10 min down the road. Got to the 1171 Sunrise Hwy location and took 2+ days to get my receipt of drop. Total incompetence across the board. Literally blows my mind that a National company like uhaul could be associated with such second rate vendors, even if just to drop a truck off. I never submit reviews but this was a trash experience from start to end and needed to be documented.

The person managing the U-Haul service was not even there. After I dropped the U-Haul I had to contact customer service to let them know I had dropped the U-Haul off. The rental agreement wasn't closed out till the next day.
