The return location was closed and I used the key dropbox. Went to return location the next day to get a receipt. The guy that was checking in the truck, seemed agitated and barked, â€œwhere are the other 6 furniture padsâ€â€¦I had no idea how many were in the pack because we had movers loading the truck; I asked how many come in A pack, he said 6, and I told him we only received one pack. He was still irritated but said he had to message his GM. I said I would follow up which I did. The GM emailed me and he did refund the additional charge The return location was closed and I used the key dropbox. Went to return location the next day to get a receipt. Guy that checked me in was misrible. This is the second time ( and last ) I had to return something there with the same guy. Both time he was misrible and should look for a job that he doesn't have to talk to people.John P.
I reserved online. The pickup took close to an hour, and the man was SO RUDE. He made me leave the office twice for various reasons, hassled me for every detail-purposely being an @$$ an holding me up for no apparent reason. I specifically reserved online for NO INSURANCE COVERAGE and found out yesterday he charged me $25 for it. I WANT A REFUND. I have never had such a horrible experience for something so simple. I called the 1800 line yesterday, waited over an hour for the call back only for the line to not have anyone on it. Tried to call back, and was told over an hour wait with no call back option....wthShannon G.
The was an easy drop off facility but the male representative had no personality and gave very little information unless you asked. Meaning not even "Good Afternoon". It was as if we went in the office and bothered him that he had to work. We returned the trailer 3 days early. At the end of the process, he came out to check the trailer we returned, had us move it to a specific lane and he walked away without a single word or a grunt. I walked in the office a few minutes later and said "do you need to give me a receipt to show I returned the trailer?" He said "its all in email I have nothing for you!" It was just a rude reception over all. IAs walked out, I told him to have a good day and not a sound as I walked out the door from him. I would expect a friendly smile and a semi warm welcome instead of a man with a puss on this face. Otherwise, I was pleased with the equipment pickup and drop off locations.Ben B.
I was treated in a rude and condescending manner by the person who processed my return. He was very short in his answers by saying things like "that is what I said" when I asked questions. The parking lot was shared with other businesses, so I was confused as to where t to park. He even scolded me for putting a set of keys for my lock onto the Uhaul keychain. He said that put into question whether or not the lock was my property or Uhaul's. It was clear to me that since I was not from South Carolina, I was not welcome. Shame on his people skills. I will be using PODS for the next phase of my move.MICHAEL B.

My reservation location was changed. The time was changed. I was only notified through email. No follow up. I fully checked in the night before. I called in the morning to confirm they wouldn't screw up my reservation. I said i had to go to the bank first from my location which was now 35 minutes away. Charlie said they had they trailer and that was fine. I got there an hour and 45 minutes after the new time they inconveniently rescheduled me for and Charlie immediately tells me he canceled my reservation. I had to sit and wait for him to register it again after i spent all that time doing it the day before and i had two kids under 5 waiting. Then he forced me to pay for insurance i didn't want or need. I challenged him 3x but he insisted it was mandatory on auto transports.Michael R.

I reserved a truck and car dolly. At pick up I was advised that the car I was towing was not recommended for the car dolly but could be towed with the auto transport. This location did not have one. I had already had to travel an extra 60 miles due to not having a truck and dolly closer to my location. The clerk had to call her area manager. He was a jerk and rude. I then had to drive to a separate location to pick up the auto transport. This was the worst experience that I have ever had with UHaulLarry P.

Was to pick up truck at scheduled time of 9:30 am and the rep did not have it ready til 10:30 am. I had movers waiting on me that I was paying for by the hour!!! This unprofessional person caused me money!!! I would NEVER recommend this uhaul to anyone. I should have been reimbursed!!!Christine A.

The truck was horrible. It had dog hair everywhere in the cab and the back had dust and dirt all over.. Durring the travel the truck was all over the road. And used alot of fuel for barely being loaded.Don H.
Your website system needs work. There was no assistance with the tow dolly, they printed instructions and gave a partial explanation but the guy didn't explain the ratchet part. We went to an official Uhaul and they helped attach the straps to the tires for us. Totally different experience.Alejandra V.

My pickup location was switched for some reason without me knowing. The gentlemen I was dealing with at Storage Rentals of America was rude and of no help to fix it. I had to call U-Haul and was told there were 2 trucks of the correct size available on site and the staff should have known that. By the time I got the truck I lost out on almost an hour of moving my stuff out. (We we're paying a crew $125 an hour to move the stuff, so we lost an hours worth of work and money) When I returned the truck, SROA staff charged me for fuel costs, cleaning fees, and an extra day. The truck was clean, had the correct amount of fuel, and was returned after 8 hours of use. U-Haul staff was able to fix it, and reviewed the pictures that clearly showed the fuel was ok and the truck was cleaned. I will never use Storage Rentals of America again and will not recommend it to anyone!JAMES M.

The truck had an engine light on which made it get horrible gas mileage. It was in disrepair and not what I paid WAY over what I was quoted. On a 1900 mile trip, I ended paying double in gas what I should have originally had to pay for gas on a 1900 mile tripPETER C.

Booking the truck and equipment was easy; dropping everything off afterwards was ok. The contactless pickup was a nightmare. Both the app and web browser account wouldn't synch with our order#. Both my husband and I spent more than 4 hours each on the phone with customer service attempting to fix the issue. The night before the move, we were hung up on/call dropped multiple times after being on hold for between 30 and 60 minutes each time. We drove out to the site to pick up the truck and were on hold again to try and complete contactless pick up (pick up was scheduled for 6am and location wasn't open yet, so contactless pick up was the only available option) and finally got ONE person in customer service who knew how to fix the issue. Check in was mostly completed and I got the code to the lockbox for the key, which ended up not even in the lockbox. The customer service rep found the code to their other lockbox, sent it to me, and the key was in there. The key and truck were not the numbers we were supposed to have, which led to the next issue of confirming the mileage for the vehicle. Because it was a different truck than I had been assigned when I completed the rental, the mileage was different and couldn't be changed in my account. By this point, we had been on the phone with the rep since about 5:45am (was on hold for about 60 minutes prior after being hung up on once) and it was 7:15am, an hour and fifteen minutes into our rental time and we were still trying to pick up the truck. Because of app and web browser issues and the locations mistakes, the rep told us to just take the truck and forget about the rest of checking in and that she would alert the location to our issues that morning. Prior to us booking, we had priced other services in the area and U-Haul was the most affordable, but it was a freaking nightmare and was not worth it at all. We lost so much sleep the night before our move trying to sort this out only to have to start all over again the morning of moving. Got hung up on repeatedly. All day the day before the move, I had called the specific location to try and confirm the rental and I was repeatedly told that they couldn't help me and to call back later. This happened until the location closed and I ended up with the general U-Haul customer service. There was only one rep who knew how to help me and bless her she was amazing. She was the only good thing about the whole darn process. We were able to get everything moved and return the truck on time, even with the hour and a half lost to the limbo of checking in. It wasn't even worth inquiring about a refund for the lost time because I didn't want to deal with U-Haul any more. I've even been putting off this review because I just wanted to forget the entire experience.Lauren W.

We were told that the drop off location required that we offload our own vehicle, which we accepted, but once we arrived to the drop-off location we were informed that we also had to back the truck and full-size auto-transport into a spot. Fortunately I was able to help my older parents do this, but this could easily have resulted in injury to person or property. The employee who greeted us at this location (likely the owner) was very unfriendly and unwelcoming. He walked around whacking the tires with a stick and ran through his checklist of questions in a rather crude and rushed manner. We also tried turning the truck in a day early since we were running ahead of schedule, but that employee said very firmly that we had a strict appointment for the next day at 10AM. The truck was taking up a parking space that was needed by other tenants, and the truck itself was probably needed by other UHaul customers as well. We will never use UHaul again.THEODORE M.

I think this facility was a little underhanded, they said I had less than a quarter tank almost an eighth. Which I had pictures showing I had at least a little over a quarter. They charge me for $15 for gas and $30 surcharge. But I had taken a pic when I picked up the truck and another pic when I dropped off proving my case. This place should not be trusted. I called and talk to a lady at the U-Haul corporate office and sent her pictures of before and after to prove my point and they gave me credit. Do not choose this place not to be trustedJEFFREY H.
