Central Texas experienced a little snowfall, but the streets were clear. Everything in the area was open, except this place. There was a very hard to read sign about being closed due to weather, behind a tinted window on the door. I found a spot to drop the trailer, took a picture of it and continued home; only to find out that you must take several pictures in the app to complete the return.

The trailer I rented had a minor dent in the door, making it difficult to open and close when I picked it up and pointed it out to the pickup staffâ€"functioned as just a minor inconvenience. The staff was great on both ends.

The address does not appear correctly in Maps and takes you to another storage business 2 miles east of the actual location. There is no sign for U-Haul out on the highway and the entrance is unidentifiable short of a small mailbox with the address on it. I had to call the location twice to be guided to the location. Service was very friendly and quick. Couldn't have been nicer and easier to work with. Truck ran fine but the inside had not been cleaned (food on seats and floorboards) but otherwise was fine for the task. Just needed a quick wipe down/vacuum. Again, service was great, so the issues are with signage for the location and a little bit of cleanliness issue. Overall, it was an easy and convenient service that was booked last minute.

I couldn't shut the back rolling door by myself. I am a strong person and even the guys had to put a lot of muscle into it. The truck was clean enough. I let the location know that the truck is making a squealing noise upon acceleration.

I reserved an appliance dolly online, but they did not have one when I showed up at the store. The sales associate was not interested in assisting me to find one at another location. He told me to call the 800# which was no help either. When I turned the truck in they charged me for 2 gallons of gas even though I left it with the same 3/4 tank. If they left it on a full tank it would have been straightforward.

Overall our experience was fine. This was a rental for a group campout. When we opened the box part of the truck it was dusty and dirty, and the ramp was muddy. The cab was clean and the AC was cold. One thing that was unclear was the whole "Tow/haul on/off button" situation. I could never locate that button even though I tried, both inside and outside of the truck. Also, the parking brake was very hard to disengage. I pushed down on the parking brake before pulling on the release handle, and it felt like I nearly had to break the handle to get the brake to disengage. That said, it's nice to have a UHaul location in the area, and the people there are always friendly and helpful.

Make sure the app to rent a vehicle is working. I didn't want to wait in line to get my van. I had to because the app wouldn't load my location. That led to a couple of charges that I don't think were fair. I was charged two miles more than I drove. And the person who gave me my keys said the tank was full. It wasn't. I put much more gas in at the end than I used driving 50 miles.

When I inspected the vehicle towing trailer with the U-haul rep, I pointed out the driver side front tire was bad. The center section of the tire was raised. The rep said the trailer went though their inspection and that it was ready to go. 170 miles into our trip, that exact tire had a blowout leaving us stranded at 2A. It took right over 2 hours to have a repair tech reach us and replace the tire. We were on a major highway, not a small backroad. The trailer was bumpy and it was shaking my truck while we drove. Please post signage in front of the building to show the additional parking in the back. There are signs toward the back of the parking lot, but a worker from another business had to point these out to us as we couldn't see them from the U-Haul building.

Vehicle had not been cleaned and although it was not filthy, it should have at least been vacuumed. I took a video before I left the facility. Also, there was a low tire light on which required me to put air in the tires.

The front has a crack on the bumper since before I got it, it also did not have any blankets at the back, it has they trolley lock open, the lock key was nowhere to be found, and there was a piece of cardboard in the floor. These issues did not allow me to lock the cargo area.

Front office staff was easy to talk to and understood the 30 min out-of-the-way drive I had to make to accommodate the equipment I needed, in the opposite direction of my scheduled relocation mind you, and helped me out as much as he could. Sorry, I forget his name, but very easy to talk to/ humble/ understanding/ willing to go the extra mile for customers. Very much recommend others to use their service(s).

Amazing customer service Sat, 3/18 to cover up for poor U-Haul tip top leadership. Truck transmission was sticking and lock on back of truck non-operable from rain. Customer service agent made the situation right by me. He needs a raise.

Have the vehicle checked prior to another customer picking it up. Check engine light was on and rear was full of dirt. Moving blankets were just left fallen over at the door for me to pick up once I pulled the truck up. After telling the attendant that the check engine light was on I was just told it would be fine and that they would take care of it once I dropped it off in the Dallas area.
