The location could not have been less helpful. They had you park the truck in a tight location without assistance and then simply took the keys and said that was it. U-haul had to call me the next day (I returned the truck a day early) to see if I was returning the truck because the site had not notified U-haul that it had been returned.William S.

The check-in was difficult. The van had a lot of prior scrapes. How was I to know that those had been previously documented? It was a ridiculous process uploading photos of scrapes. The mileage and gas level was wrong on the contract. The attendant said "Oh they took it for service for service so the mileage and gas level is wrong." Upon returning, the attendant said that I had driven 110 miles. That was incorrect. The attendant did not want me to verify the mileage myself (I had forgotten when I parked the truck.) I said, "I can look at the mileage." She replied, "I will correct it." I said I want to know how many miles that I am being charged for, certainly not 110." She replied, "About 80." I said, "That sounds reasonable." I walked away. She was nice when I rented the truck, but not nice when I returned the truck. I suspect she was having a bad day.JAMES K.

All of this registering online and scanning the drivers license and entering things to some Robot computer was really distasteful. Gone are the good all times when you actually got to deal with someone at the desk. It's a sad state of AmericaJOHN F.

I felt like my rental from the beginning was bad luck. I first was sent to a far away location that didn't have my reservation. I drove to Palm Springs to pick up rental on Tamarisk. The guy David told me bring it back 3/8 of a tank. I put $15 in just before returning it at 3/8. I find on my receipt I was charged for 3 gallons. He said I left it just above a 1/4 tank. Not true I'm very frustrated with my experience and lack of customer service. He told me to call the main U-Haul number and discuss it with them and I told him that I had filled it I had the receipt he still told me to take it up with U-Haul I will never rent from this location again the truck was completely dirty trash gum wrappers nothing was left out and now I'm being charged for 3 gallons of gas incorrectly this is nothing but a rip offGUS Z.

We cannot recommend U-Haul after this experience. Our cargo van was not available. We were â€œupgradedâ€ to a 10 ft truck that cost more to drive the 200 mile distance and was harder to use with the cargo we were collecting. The U-Haul process has become entirely customer-dependent. While the clerk sat behind the desk, we constantly had to run out to the truck to follow text prompts on our phone. Even the exam of the truck's condition is done with photos and descriptions on your phone. The advertised 24/7 is non-existent and a marketing ploy. Our truck was not ready at 7 as promised. The â€œhelp lineâ€ is completely useless. They could not get us into a truck in any location in order to meet our appointment. We had to return to the rental location at 9:30 to â€œcheck inâ€. Lesson learned: don't use U-Haul but, if you must and want it early, get the night before!PAMELA S.
It's difficult to answer. I only rented a dolly which was easy to do. No problems at the counter or with returning it. I received my receipt promptly via e-mail.JOSEPH S.
Remove the governor from the truck engine. Any time I hit 75 mph the power cut out. I didn't feel safe driving and trying to pass others and spent the entirety of my rental counting the hours and minutes until it was over. What a nightmare. Also, consider offering a review survey holistic of the entire rental experience, not just the location where I picked up and dropped off my rentalâ€"this is some nonsense that won't be helpful for uhaul corporate or other rentersIan B.

The location was good but corporate customer service was absolutely terrible. I checked my reservation the night before but it was changed as I was arriving to pick up. Suddenly I was not able to self service and had to wait for staff to arrive for service. I was late for my appointment and corporate customer service basically said too bad! I would prefer to not have an email sent to me the night before my reservation telling me that it has changed to a virtual pick up and a link that didn't work to assist me with it. If one is to be switched to a virtual pick up then the links should be tested and should work. Also I did not want to create a profile. Switching to a virtual pick up required that I create a profile at the last minute. That was unnecessary and inconvenient.Gary F.
The agent was nice, but she made multiple mistakes. We were waiting around for 30min at the location to get the vehicle in the first place, there was a used mask in the car, the moving blankets had cactus needles all over them. Really disappointed.Benjamin Y.

I have to say... This experience was a breath of fresh air. Driving a Tesla for a few years know sets the standard high for any other company/brand. I'm used to over-the-air-updates on the car, amazing customer service and a product that's at least 5 years ahead of the competition. Said that, yourapp is amazing, your crew at both locations were very professional, and the products (f-450 truck and car trailer) are good. Despite covid-19 issues, you nailed it! I was expecting 1990 exposure but got 2020 experience! Chapeau! Looking forward to rent again.Fredi H.

One word - dismal rude and if it was my employee he would be on the unemployment line no later than Monday morning ! Review notes to the awful customer service received even your customer service that I was on the phone heard and noted- asked a few folks to escalate and call me back - I am yet to receive a call back - I suggest you take some basic customer service lesson try Nordstrom or other basic retailers that deal with customers- even Penske at Home Depot are more professionalScott S.

Called me to tell me about extra charges. Had a London discussion I asked for a supervisor. Lady said that a manager would call me. They never did and still charged me. I never recieved or rented 24 blankets. But I'm still getting charged for them.paul W.
I would never recommend or go back to this location. I got over charged for gas when I filled the gas tank up to exactly where it was when I rented it. This gas tank was 1/4 full whwn I picked it up and it was 1/4 full when I dropped it off. The paperwork said it was 3/4 full whwn it wasn't. Tried to contact the office in regards to that issue but no one answered the phone.Lisa V.

I was charged for blanket and never got them. The app did not work as smoothly as I was told (and I personally came in the day before to verify everything). I was not advised beforehand that I was expected to return the truck by checking out on line, and that I had to do so from the exact place from where I had rented. I returned truck "after hours" by about half hour. Left truck in secure place, went to my residence fewer than five miles away. Got the message on my phone, and had to return to place. Good thing I was able to use 24 Hour Customer Service number to do so. had not been given that number prior to leaving with truck.JUAN R.
