Donald BarrettThe truck has a defective rearview mirror causing major safety issues and challenges. It also has an extremely alarming screeching noise that I'd guess is related to vent/ac system. It was an unpleasant and less than safe trip.
Crystal MosesI was displeased that I made my reservation at Strobels but was then told I would have to pick up my truck at a different location approximately 20 miles further away. At a Rate of $1,09 a mile I feel that Uhaul was trying to clip me for an additional $40+ plus the additional gas cost. When going to pick up my truck at the new location I drive right by Strobbels and see that they have 2 10 foot box trucks on the lot! I canceled my reservation and rerented a truck from Strobels right then where I made the original reservation. I do not know if this was intentional but it certainly feels like UHaul was trying to pull a fast one on me and Strobels.

BRUCE NOBLEI rented the trailer from 1 PM 10/21 to 1PM 10/23. I returned the trailer at 6:30 PM 10/22. U-HAUL called me at 4PM on 10/23 wanting to know where the trailer was? Told them to contact agent (who was closed on Sundays)

michael jacksonMy only complaint was I had scheduled to pick up my equipment from a location that was 2 miles away from my apartment but the day before I was to get the equipment I was rerouted to another location 45 minutes away. This has NO bearing on the two locations because personnel at both were exceptionally helpful and professional.

I ended up having to spend hours on the website finding equipment and a location that works because none of the representatives could. Unless some policies change to ensure my reservations will be kept, I will not be renting from U-Haul again

KAREN MARCHANTPicking up this trailer was stressful as we were forced to first change the trailer type (increasing the cost) and pickup location because of a lack of equipment at our first choice, and a second time because the previous customer did not return it to the specified location.

GINA WILLIAMSLet me start off by saying this was a pick up through the phone app at a closed location. It took over half of an hour to get the keys through this system. In addition I requested dollies to make what was going to be a difficult move easier. When we arrived at the house they were not in the truck. Consequently it took the movers we hired through Uhaul twice as long to move. Since the location was closed so we could not just go and pick them up. Also there was very little gas in the truck. Remember the days of take it full bring it back full? So we went to the gas station..I expected the truck to use a lot so put in $71. The truck gets great gas mileage and only used a small amount. Guess what? They don't reimburse you for gas! That's your gift to the next mover! Did I mention always get the tow option for $5,95 in case you get stuck? It was $700 to get pulled out of the curbside ditch that the truck was stuck in. I will say they made it very easy for me to keep the truck additional days. I am waiting for reimbursement for the rental of the dollies and I am hoping that they reimburse me for my gas but I have no idea. The movers were very professional and did a great job. I wish I had known that with all the delays of getting to the property (checking in and getting the key, having to stop for gas, getting stuck in a ditch) the movers could have been rescheduled. Since I did not know this they tried to do as much as possible and stayed there for the two hours I hired them and unfortunately had to leave just as we arrived with the truck. So I got to hire them again for the next day to do the job. Yup, I got to pay double labor plus! They were great guys though and worked really hard. That was Safe Movers of New England. Highly recommend them. I hope this helps others to not have the bad experience that I had.

Augustus GuidoI reserved the truck 3 weeks in advance to pick up in Springfield, VT. It was not there, i was sent to Strobels, 1/2 hour away in a snowstorm, delayed my loading 1 day, (movers had to leave, leaving me alone to load) Then i was charged extra day for returning 2 hrs late! I'm not a happy customer!
