Don't post on site that the establishment is open on Saturday's from 10-3 when in fact the establishment was closed. This caused me to have to take more time out of my moving day to take pic's of this and that of the truck, fuel etc. If I have to do the job of an employee who's supposed to be there, then I should either get paid by uhaul or get a discount. Very aggravating. PS. When I called the # associated with is establishment, the person who answered said, there was a comment on the site that stated they were going to be closed that day, which I didn't see posted anywhere on the site or at the establishment.Eric M.

The self-check-in is somewhat time-consuming, and I had to go retrieve the key from personnel who was unsure of the mobile check-in process steps. It seems like a regular check-in would have been a lot quicker. Recommend that the Uhaul website give an accurate description of what self-check-in is before a customer signs up for it (including verification info needed, average duration to get verified, etc.). Also, train personnel on what the steps of the self-check-in process look like so they don't question if I've paid yet when the app has instructed me to show personnel my phone screen to retrieve the key.Ana R.

Was convenient to have a U-Haul two miles from our home. The family running it were very friendly. However, the garage they work out of is lacking a general (UHaul) store appearance. It's almost like a shack/garage they work out of. Have a reservation from this facility for a one-way cross county move in March. I'll probably change to a more robust U-Haul location.Gary E.

We had a reservation to pick up our rental at 10am. Upon arriving at the facility we found that the door was locked and no one was on the property. After calling the number for the business the man stated that he was in Austin on an errand but would return in 15-20 minutes. We waited 45 minutes for him to return!! The gentleman was nice and apologetic which I appreciated, but it completely rushed the rest of our day as we had multiple things to accomplish in regards to our move, including our reserved time at our building for use of the freight elevator.Jacob D.

The car trailer we rented didn't operate correctly. One of the ramps was broken and wouldn't lock in place when extended. I had called to move the rental charges to another credit card. The attendant said he was busy with a customer and would call me back. He never called.JAMES P.

I was late picking it up and my phone pick-up reservation expired. I HAD NOT IDEA THAT IT WOULD EXPIRE. Why does the booking not tell you that. waiting on hold for 30 minutes. the chat feature had to update the reservation. the site would then NOT take my credit card. the chat feature had to fix that. It was an awful experience picking up using my phone. I WILL NEVER USE MY PHONE TO PICK UP FROM YOU EVER AGAIN!Wayne D.

The location looks like a junk yard with old cars around, grass growing everywhere. I had reserved a trailer online. When I arrived to pick up, I was informed the trailer had been rented to someone else. Obviously , the agent does not understand the definition of the word "reserved" I had to rent an alternate trailer which was more expensive. The trailer I had reserved was 82 $. The replacement cost 214 $. I feel UHaul owes me the difference in this charge. This agent is a blight on the reputation and good trademark of UHaul and an eyesore for your business model. The young man who helped me, Eddie, did his best and was very apologetic, but obviously, had not authority or ability to remedy the situation. Please feel free to call me to discuss this matter. I am very disgusted and infuriated at this situation and would discourage any potential UHaul customer from using this agent.Wilson F.

The staff is very friendly and helpful nobody wants to help me on Sunday evening but Here I being helped and treated like a VIP customermaria G.
Many mistakes were made starting with the first place we went to being closed when they weren't supposed to be. Then is took 3 attempts to get another truck through express checkout. And when I finally got the truck it was parked behind 2 other trucks and unable to be moved. I called and received the access code to a different truck which we finally got an hour and a half after all this began. However this truck which I ended up taking was not on my contract and caused a whole slew of additional problems. Including a EZ fuel charge that I am desputing because I replenishes the fuel in the vehicle and provided pictures of the fuel gage and odometer to prove it.Jake C.
Answer the phone, (I called 3 times in 2 days with no answer during business hours) don't over charge (paperwork said there was more gas than there was in the vehicle) and respond to feedback given if you expect a recommendation to a friend. I did not specify a drop off location at time of reservation. Very difficult finding a location to take the trailer in Austin, TX. Everyone was full. This location was kind enough to take the trailer. However, facility was a dirt/gravel lot on top of a hill with trailers/trucks scattered. I had to pull between an RV and a trailer to a small back area and execute about a 5-point turn. Eventually I dropped the trailer as it was and extricated myself. Primary woman at location spoke Spanish but no English. She had to get a helper to translate. It worked but not optimal.Christopher S.

This is the worst experience I've ever had with U haul. I've never felt so taken advantage of by this company. I rented a truck for 1 afternoon but got charged for 3 days. Let me begin by saying this location and the people running are not up to U haul standards. The office was disgusting, it stunk and was really hot. I'm a regular U haul customer. I rent several trucks a year. Ive never had any problems at any of the other locations I've used. This location has ripped me off!! I received an emailed bill for 3 days. The person running the location charged me for 3 days when I returned the vehicle the same day. I dropped it off on the 13th, the same day I checked it out. He said I picked the truck up on the 12, a day before I actually got it. Then he charged me for an additional 2 days (14th and 15th) after I dropped it off. This is in addition to charging me for insurance when I told him at least 5 times that I did not need it and did not want it. Then he lied and said he would get it taken off the bill. Not only did he not take it off the bill, but he charged me for 3 days of insurance. The guy working there acted like he didn't know what he was doing and took almost a full hour to process my paper work and rent me a truck. It felt like he was intentionally trying to confuse me so much that I would give in and pay for the insurance. He printed out the paper work with the charges for the insurance and I continued to refuse and asked him to take that charge off. So he made a phone call and told me the charge would be removed. I feel like he got angry or something that I flat out refused the insurance and thus decided to rip me off. I've made several attempts to contact U haul by phone and by Live Chat neither of which got me anywhere. The truck was basically clean but the AC did not work. It was the middle of the day Texas heat and having no AC on a rental is unacceptable. I'm so disgusted and angry with this experience that I am demanding a full refund and my receipt of this refund will determine whether I ever use U haul again.edward M.

The owner did not did not have me sign the prior damage sheet that was with the truck, and told me to turn the truck in with 3/4 of a tank. I spent 20 $extra in gas to get it to 3/4 right before dropping it off and when the drop off owner saw the paper, he said it had to be 11/16ths of a tank. The company had my contact all wrong, fist they change the location for pick up and to drop off, they had the dates wrong for pick up and drop off, they had my mileage of traveling one way wrong. This place was terrible. I am shocked that UHaul allows this to be a dealer. I will be following up with customer service via phone because the specifics would be too much to write here. In general, they were disorganized, lacking supplies (no furniture blankets, no damage stickers, no large boxes) and the truck was filthy. We ended up having to swap it out with another Uhaul truck at a different location due to severe alignment issues in addition to some other less critical issues with the truck. I rated 2 stars instead of 1 because the people were nice, but outside of their pleasant demeanor, there was nothing good about this place.Anne V.

The UHaul website is TERRIBLE. I rented a cargo van online, for a specific location. I then called that location to ask a question about the vehicle and they had no record of my reservation. I later found out that they had switched my pick up location to an entirely different location (one that was far from where I was going), without asking me. Luckily, Karen at Commercial Tire Distributors was so helpful in calling around and finding a truck for me, then she handled switching my reservation so that I could pick up from her shop!Allyson G.
