Too expensive and use up too much gas not what I expected to pay for a small truck

After leaving for my trip. Found out trailer I had rented was bent. Have pictures and reported. It was so bad I could only travel approx 40 mph for the safety of my family and my vehicle and other vehicles on the road. Have been waiting for a phone call. And instead I get an email stated that he tried to get ahold of me and here is a $100 refund. I'm sorry but this is horrible customer service. And I would like to talk to a representative. If we cannot resolve this then my next steps are to get legal involved which I would rather not go that route. But that trailer should have never left their lot. The only problem with this location is that you need to check in on one side of the street, and then get your equipment at a locked gate lot at the other side of the street having to cross 5 lanes of traffic. So although the service is good, I would say this a DANGEROUS location to rent from.

Its true that it is a scam place, every review says the same thing but it was so close by i had to try. Same thing happened though, they charged for the cdw (calofornia damage waiver) even though i specified i didnt want it. Also i know how they get customers, because theres another u haul place across the street (its fake) and if you book there (has 4,6 stars) they will call you and tell you its closed no matter the time or day and send you right across the street to the one with 1,6 stars

Uhaul snuck in an extra $15 insurance even though I opted out of everything when I made the reservation. I was not asked by the employee in-person if I wanted the insurance, it was simply added on. When I signed the contract on the tablet, I was not allowed to read the contract and I was simply told "this is only an estimated price", and I was not allowed to look at the contract on the tablet, only the signature area. I later found out a $15 insurance was added on without my consent or notice.

From the moment I arrived to when I left I was treaded and respected so much. Been in business for over 30 years. I would love to have there kind and qualities. U Haul hit a homerun with this group. Blessings!

When the truck arrived it was looked at and when I returned it, it wasn't looked at either. Was never given paperwork on it, but told I was charged 58$. Now days later am told I had to pay damages to the truck. I never hit anything and it never left my sight. Whatever damage was done to it was maybe by the user before me

I rented a truck and a dolly two weekends in a row. The second time I also asked for a dozen furniture pads which they were unable to provide. Neither time did they have the type of dolly I requested, and the second one they provided was broken. It was marked as such when they put it in our truck, but we didn't see the note until we tried to use the dolly. When we called to say it was unusable, they refused to bring a working one out to us and told us to call the service number who told us to call the location. Due to time constraints we ended up having to carry everything by hand and risk injury. Luckily we've moved out of the area and will have no need to use this location again. UHaul's practices for equipment renting and availability leave much to be desired. I was not able to reserve the truck the second time for two days in a row and when I called to see how to extend it I was just told to keep it the extra day at $40/day. The second day I called and the rep was concerned why I didn't return it on time. The lack of communication and availability and poor processes leave much to be desired and unfortunately uHaul is the prevailing moving company. Next time I'll seek out other options

They had no idea how to give me the equipment plus a trailer I was Towing back after uhaul called and ask if I could Move it for them

It's a bit difficult to do the pick-up since the Uhaul person who manages is at a car repair shop on one side of a 5 busy street and the lot for the Uhaul is on the other side of that same street. So crossing back and forth, especially when renting a trailer is not only dangerous but difficult logistically. Also, the entrance to their lot is not paved to the street, you drive over a curb.

Cesar and team were great! When U-Haul changed our location multiple times he made sure we were taken care of and helped make our move across country as smooth as possible.

All the uhauls were located across the street and you don't know who to talk to when you pull up to their location. Has a very small U-Haul sign barley visible

Gave me key to truck without physical inspection and gas tank was on empty reserve, paid and extra 63 for gas. Call their 800 number and was just dismissed as well as place truck was returned at.

I paid for a utility and furniture dolly. Neither of those were in the vehicle. I want my money back.

You guys saved the day again! I messed up and put the pick up time at 1am instead of 1pm. I show up and realize my mistake. You guys took care of me right away and I was able to get my rental. I appreciate this location and this service.

Gentleman that checked me in was very professional. Some of his staff helped me back truck out during a very busy time of day with a lot of traffic. Appreciate the service.

Explain all the fees for rent before not later, you charged me more than $20 without any explanation before. And you were "main office" not the place were I rented. I need a refund "from you " asap

First time I ever rented a uhaul. I was surprised how easy and smooth the whole process was. Definitely made a stressful moving situation as easy as possible for me, and for that I'm super grateful  Thanks Uhaul and thank you to the Kind and friendly Uhaul Contractors. You guys are the best!!

I was supposed to pick up the truck and trailer at one location in El Cajon. This had me going to opposites ends of the county for my one order. This was not communicated when I rented it the week prior. On my return to I dropped the trailer back to where I picked it up then went to El Cajon to drop off the truck and they wanted me to go back to Chula Vista to bring the trailer to them. Customer Service very lacking

did not go over anything when I left and was already driving received a text I tried to open it it had already expired. when I returned the car nothing was explained to me he did not go over the charges, later I received a ridiculous charge of over $108 dollars charging me a ridiculous amount for a gas fee plus gas which I did put gas before I returned it. no wonder the email was sent to me once I was gone from the location

The representative although nice, did not go over any portion of the rental agreement. Nor did he walk with me to check out the vehicle in case I had any questions. I the mirrors the windows in the windshield had a heavy dirt anyone extra thing for me to do.

The truck was dirty inside and in the. Ack I had to clean it with a broom and clean the inside as well. The location was over crowded the box truck was parked really close to another one , hair away . I couldn't get in and move it , someone else got in from the passenger side and moved it . The box truck was very loud and uncomfortable… horrible experience

the ratchet where rusted and barely worked and chains for safety where short I had to use straps that I had.

We went to A storage place 3070 del sol blvd san diego ca 92154 to rent the truck the guy working there was very helpful and was able to help us locate the check size we needed. our scheduled pickup in cv on 4th ave was to be on friday & thursday we got an email confirming it then we got another e-mail with a different location pickup for the wrong day. called and confirmed the truck would be there and it was not there when we arrived they found the truck and we lost 3 hours of move time. after we returned the truck the next day we come to find out that we were over charged. the guy that helped us will not be back in the office until tuesday to help us out.

The 2 persons that checked me in said everything was fine but later im charged for cleaning fee and over miles which i belie were unnecessary... are there pictures of reasons? I didnt return messy, and i was promised i had enough miles...
