No pads in my truck as requested on my reservation; check engine light was on for a long period of my move; traction control randomly turned on and off causing a herky jerky ride; I felt every small impression on the expressway and highways; truck had exactly 63 miles of gas in it when I picked it up.

They called me multiple times trying to get me to come a day early and pick up the truck. Also, on the day of pick up they called again asking where I was when I was already on the way. Basically have a pushy vibe but otherwise I had a very pleasant experience and the pickup was a smooth process.

I really appreciated that I could complete the rental all online the day before. The process to pickup and drop off without having an employee there is clutch. So seamless. Good idea to take pictures as well for verification to cover the renter and company.

We dropped off the trailer in the evening (the day before it was due back) and we were charged an after hours fee - despite the fact that no one was there helping us to incur a fee and despite the fact that we dropped off the trailer 14 hours before it was due back. We both had to work the next morning so we thought we would do the right thing by taking it the night before rather than bringing back the equipment late. Lessons learned for us I guess.

Rudest. Laziest Uhaul ever. Didn't want to help show me how it works or put it away where the jerk specifically wanted it. Charged me a late return fee even though I dropped it off at 1pm and two hours before I had too. Never again.

What seemed to be a manager cursed out and yelled at an employee in front of me. Apparently the "manager" was upset because how the employee physically moved the trailer.

Staff is condescending and rude. Don't want you to bother them with any issue or question. Almost bully-like. I've used them 5 times and had this experience 3 times. Next time I will travel out of the way and pay more for miles just to avoid interacting with them.

Pricing on the side of the vehicle is misleading. The actual cost to rent the vehicle was 4x the price listed. The process of checking out the vehicle was tedious and not customer friendly.

Customer service is poor. The quoted price is never what the final bill comes to. Once you discuss the bill with the proprietor they "adjust" the bill but it's always more than what the quote provided. This was my second time renting from this place but it will be my last. Your web site is complicated and the emails are non-stop once you reserve the vehicle with repeated information that conflicts the original terms. The "two" final bills were sent via email and provided two different totals with incorrect details of the time and day. Poor service all around. Never again.

Cleaned out back and made sure it was full up but got charged $60 dollars for leaving 2 piz ofsmall plexiglass on the side wall and was not even mine not very happy with the changes

Individual was rather brash and rude on the phone when calling to confirm extension of rental for a second day as a result of UHaul account information not updating. Added additional $20 after hours service charge for unit being dropped off on a Sunday afternoon w/o communication of said charge post-rental.

The app for 24/7 pickup never worked. It did not much the video at all. There was no place to click to pick up the vehicle. Instead of the vehicle being available at 7 Am, I had to wait until 8:30 for a worker to show up.

Dropped off vehicle during business hours. NOBODY was there and the doors were locked. Called the drop off business and was instructed to drop the key in the box. Received a phone call from the drop off business later in the day to "bitch" at me for leaving the vehicle on the street. It was left as close to the office as possible . THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO OTHER INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN.....this drop off business needs a lesson in management and communication.

Running lights did not work on the car carrier trailer, They not educated on how the equipment works, because the trailer has surge brakes, and they keep telling me that is was only for emergency brake away brakes, and it's not just for that.It has surge brakes for regular braking and surge brakes for the emergency brakes.

Bad service , they charge me a $50 cleaning fee for parking the rental in the wrong spot , what does that have to do with cleaning , There trucks have no Ac in them and they don’t care , U-Haul did not about my bad experience and there field mgr max didn’t even care , U-Haul customer service is going down hill , This will hurt there company in the long run

My recent experience renting a trailer from Uhaul was very disappointing. Having rented many trailers in the past couple of years I have never had any issues and found your service and customer service to be impeccable. However, my recent experience started with the same great service level picking up the trailer in Raleigh but end with a very poor experience at drop-off at Tedds Custom Installation (U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer) 21719 S Center Ave New Lenox, IL 60451 (815) 485-2611 When I arrived at this location around 3:00pm on September 1st nobody was around and the door was locked. I called the number on the door and was told someone would be there to assist me in 10 minutes. I've have never not been helped immediately in the Mokena location and they's someone always at this location. This was the first sign that this was going to be a different experience. When the person did arrive he told me to back the trailer into position along the others and disconnect the trailer myself. I told him I wasn't comfortable with backing up into a tight space and certainly didn't expect to have to disconnecting the trailer. I told him I've never had to do this in any Uhaul location, ever! He informed me that they no longer can assist customers with connection or disconnection and that it was now my responsible. Even though I've rent several trailers from Uhaul, I've never had to do this and always thought it was part of the service. The persons condescending tone of voice was probably the most infuriating part of the experience. He didn't seem to care about customer service or Uhaul as a company. He spoke poorly about his relationship with Uhaul and his recent lawsuits against Uhaul and how he made Uhaul pay. He was almost gloating that he beat Uhaul and that now he never has to help customers connect or disconnect again. He also let me know that this is now a Uhaul national policy and no Uhaul anywhere would assist in connecting and disconnecting equipment. It certainly didn't happen that way when I picked up the trailer in Raleigh. Nothing out of the usual was explained about this policy change before I rented. I'm 68 years old and have a pacemaker with that said, I don't think I'm the best choice from just my level experienced and physical capabilities to be asked to do this. I did ask this person for at least instructions on how to disconnected the trailer and reluctantly he gave me the instructions. Whatever your policy was or is currently, my expectations were totally different from any other time I've rented through Uhaul. Sam

There was no instructions as to exact drop off space. I dropped off the trailer in the parking lot in front of other parked trailers. Received a call from the owner and accused me of parking it in the middle of the street when it was not and threatened to tow the trailer that was on his own property. Followed by the charges for towing would become my responsibility to pay. Owner was very hostile on the phone, even after telling the owner I would be there in fifteen minutes to park it to his liking. Furthermore, while in the process of moving it to the spot he wanted, the owner called, being hostile again, saying I cannot park it where I was at the moment. Clearly he was watching through the cameras on the lot to see what I was doing, but couldn't tell that I was still moving the car to his preferred location. No reason to communicate as he did. After speaking to customer service, I was informed there was no right or wrong spot to put the trailer, so long as it was on U-Haul property.

The trailer size I requested when I originally placed order was not available at the time of pickup . I was told that someone changed my order because it wasn't available. I was never notified of such a change. I had no other choice then to take a smaller size trailer that was not adequate to meet my needs and had to make multiple trips to move.

Personal was rude and abrasive. Was threatened with extra fees because THEY messed up my reservation. Was supposed to have the truck from Friday till Saturday at 1:00pm. Was called and told if I didn't have the truck there by 9:00 am Saturday they would charge me an inconvenience fee of $100 because the truck was rented out. Why was the truck rented out during my reservation?? We then proceeded to bust our backs to get the truck unloaded and got it back to the location THAT Friday night. But STILL got charged for an extra day. When I called the location to discuss this charge was told by supervisor they would look into it and call me back. I never received a call back. I will NEVER recommend U- haul to anyone else and never use U - haul again. Over all communication between U- haul locations and personal was horrible, they definitely need to work on this.

Trying to use the uHaul app was completely frustrating and abysmal. I was literally standing at the front door of the location and it kept telling me it could not find me. Finally had to go inside and complete the pick-up process with the staff at Tedds. Something that should have only taken 15-20 ended up taking almost an hour. Then trying to use the app to return the equipment was equally as frustrating and useless. Finally went to the website instead and was able to complete everything there.

The person who I spoke with on the phone was extremely short and rude. While the building itself was easy to find, there was a truck parked in front of the door, so the entrance to the facility was not visible from the street or even the drive way. This was extremely frustrating when could by someone who did not want to help.

The UHaul system was down. The UHaul website was useless and did not accept information so precheck-in was not possible. The owner was very helpful and arranged for me to rent the van while the system came back up. This location is very customer friendly and helpful. I would be happy to use them again.
