The amount of money I had to pay for a truck and trailer, I shouldn't had to drive up to Sacramento and back Stockton. I spent 100 dollars of gas and 4 hours of my time. I didn't even get a reduction in my rental rate or reimbursed for gas I tell everyone to go to Penske or Ryder. The gas gauge is on a 1/4 tank at the time of pickup I called your customer service line to file a complaint. I was bounced around for another 30 minutes.

The truck smelled terrible. Awful. I stated in my request for the rental that I was planning to drive approximately 300 miles and I drove a little bit farther than that. Why did the truck smell so bad? Not sure, but there was a sign on the seat saying the inside had been disinfected. You probably sprayed it with a hazardous toxic poison to kill off whatever you could kill. Guess what? That is bad for the driver and his passengers too. I had to drive with the windows down, which was noisy, in order to get some fresh air. As soon as I put the windows back up the stink in the air was more present. It was a long 300 miles and no, it was not comfortable or even close.

The trailer pin was damaged and would not connect to our vehicle. Informed the U-Haul person, but he would not believe it. Blamed it on the vehicle. Spent a long time struggling to fit into the vehicle's connection. Eventually the U-Haul person spoke with a coworker and fortunately that person suggested they just replace the pin wires, which they were able to quickly switch and it easily fit the vehicle. Such an easy solution that the U-Haul person could have resolved more quickly if he listened and didn't argue with us. Wasted about at least 30 minutes unnecessarily.

Update your U-HAUL website for checking out a truck. It was a busy Sunday and we had to wait for 2 hours to get our reserved truck. The website kept crashing and the only thing the worker can do is refresh and try again. And there was only 1 person working that day, so we had to wait for him to address other customer returns/ requests.

The guy was extremely rude , and then lied on where my gas level was returned, I took a picture of it to prove i brought it back the same level I got it at. I would never go back there again , then I called customer service and they pit me on hold forever , never to get back to me on the phone.

Local company was fine. National company has false advertising. Claimed "19,95 $ for a day". I drove about 10 miles (about 2 hours) and the cost was 72 $++. That is definitely bait and switch. Not happy with your false advertising and will so note when recommending your service.

It was very easy process. I like to get a full tank of fuel because it's hard to know how much to put in. In my case someone dropped it off just as I came to get it so I understand why it was only at 1/4.

I dropped off the trailer in early afternoon on 27 September 2021, a day earlier then receipt states. The trailer was disconnected from my hitch and moved into position in their yard. I was not asked my name or checked in/out. I was told by the representative in the yard: "OK you're good. You can go. " When I inquired about a receipt for the check in, I was told that they would do it and a receipt would be sent to my email. The receipt was not received yesterday and I was not able to contact the yard to follow up. The voicemail was full and unable to record a message. Attempted to contact the yard, and same story. No answered to the call and voicemail full.

The check engine light was on the entire time. I left my garage door opener in the truck. I returned to pick up it up and the truck was rented out. The truck was not inspected before re-renting it out. I asked if the the new renter could be contacted, the response was keep check back. This is poor customer service. Can I be contacted for additional info? Merci

They need to make sure to double check the trucks and do a visual with the customer. First they pulled up the wrong truck and had I not checked the gas compared to what was on the paper I would not had caught it. Once I pulled up the page to verify the truck I realized it wasn't even the same picture on the side. I went back in they apologized. Gave me the truck that they were originally supposed to. Got to my house to load truck and it was covered in motor oil and was so slippery we couldn't even use the ramp with out slipping and falling. Tried to call the store and it circled on the automated greeting and then it hung up on me. Staff should definitely pay more attention to detail. And should fully walk the whole truck with customer. Horrible experience.

Dropped keys off in drop box. Never receipt a confirmation emial with final close out bill. They wanted me to give them the reservation and had to drive back down there to explain the keys were in the drip box. Thought all information could be extracted from the key in the drop box???

The guy that checked me out is a mental stage guy. He was acting weird while all customers and I were in line. Also, this locate required you to park your car off site, on another plaza, across the street, which is very dangerous due to J-walk and might be tow away by different properties management. The guy called threatening me to taken my car off The Box Store's parking lot or he will call a town. I had to stopped everything and went to pick up my car. If they cannot handle parking or have parking issues, they shouldn't allowed to parking with Uhaul. I feel it's unsafe practices. I need Uhaul to look into this matter. Thanks

The Uhaul truck was extremely loud and noisy like the transmission was going out. Please have the truck serviced and checked.

The associate was doing multiple things at a time so he would forget where he left off with me. It took 30 mins for me to get my truck. The associate even stopped to pet a dog. 3 different customers came and left before I did. When we got to the truck they had to put winshield fluid in there. That should have been all done before I got there.

I was charged twice (or my hold hasn't been returned yet), making my total for 2 days and less than 300 miles driven EIGHT HUNDRED!!!! I am extremely shocked and hope the 250 will be returned to me!!

Our trailer was stolen in Albuquerque along with all our belongings. From speaking with the police this is a common occurrence with Uhaul trailers. Uhaul should provide locking pins as part of a normal rental. As a customer I was preoccupied with moving concerns.

Have additional employees working the front of the store. One or two are not enough to handle to long lines, especially when one of the cashiers was ill-trained, new, or simply incompetent. The other counter person helped four customers to this other person's one. Unacceptable.

We waited over an hour beyond our scheduled pickup time to get a truck. They were extremely unorganized and didn't have a proper count of the trucks and the keys they had. I have jobs scheduled with times that we are supposed to show up. I am also paying employee to stand around and wait why we are waiting on a truck. If people aren't competent enough they shouldn't be working in a store by themselves.

There was used coffee cup, sunflower seeds, in the seat and under the seat. Dirty scuff marks on dash front, and debris everywhere.And they had put sign that said sanitized on the seat. Price stated over phone was not right when I picked it up, was much higher. Very very disappointing experience.

I have yet to receive a receipt for the trailer that we rented a 5 x 8 trailer. When I called to check they told me dont worry about it but if I did worry I could call 1800 uhaul. Very not friendly or helpful.

Did not get any receipt or email that I turned the 20' truck back. Talked to someone in store and gave them the keys. No receipt that I turned it in. Called U-Haul on 18th to get receipt. Inconvenient that I had to reach out. It all worked out and the u-haul experience was good.

Truck was dirty and still had previous customers paperwork and trash inside (chips, candy wrapper, soda). Trailer was not swept clean. Truck has less than a quarter tank of gas. I expected a sanitized interior at minimum. Service reps did not seem to be very experienced.

I came in at 5am to pick a truck I had booked ahead as reservation only to go through all the booking process to realize that my truck had been blocked 🚫 by several other cars and I had to pick this truck to haul my load before 7am. I was disappointed and I left.

The truck was missing a dolly (which I paid to use), I informed the employee it was missing and I was charged for missing equipment. Very poor customer service. I would be fine paying for the equipment had I actually taken it, but since I didn't the company has now falsely charged me. I've used uhaul plenty of times and have never had such a bad experience.

Incompetent workers: I made a phone reservation for the uhaul van for 1:30 pm and when I checked my email, I found that it was entered for 1:30 am (I agree it may have been a simple mistake). So I called again and pointed out the error and was told it will be corrected, but it wasn't. I then accessed the emailed link for my reservation and corrected the time. The following day, I got an email that my order was cancelled. At this time, I was frustrated, but because this location is the most convenient one, I decided to be a bit more patient. So I went online again and made another reservation, but when I went in to pick up the van, I was told that it is not available- that the previous customer hasn't returned it. Thankfully they gave me the 10” truck which was there, although they refused my request to join me in inspecting the van (for any damage). After moving my items, I filled the gas tank to where it was prior to my rental (it wasn't full when I rented it and I had taken pictures for proof). Today I got a charge for an extra 25 $for gas- ridiculous! Avoid this location at all cost, it's not worth the headache!

The gas was explained to be at 1/4 full. That was even verbally explained by the agent. The rent agreement was slightly different. I drove 16 miles and put 2 gallons in, which maintained the original reading. The agent said make a complaint to Uhaul if we get charged for gas. Also, your app is crap. Wouldn't allow pics.

Required documents and/or equipment were not mentioned when reserving so that there would be no delays or confusion. In-take person needs to brush up on customer service skills, response was not appropriate. The behavior is fixable, if desired.
