Great friendly service and very accommodating!
PAUL WTell people there is a deposit when you rent a trailer. Tell people exactly what size ball you need to rent your trailer. I asked what size ball when i reserved the trailer and was told 1and 7/8 or 2" i said do i need to bring both and was told no. My husband went to pick up the trailer and had a 1and 7/8 ball and it was the wrong ball so he had to go back home and get a 2" ball and go back and get the trailer a lot of wasted time and gas and money. Your employees need MORE training!!! Also got an inspection message and a plate varification that expired before I saw it. I would think that should be done at pick up of trailer. Do better UHaul.

MICHAELENE MMobile app is terrible…very dodgy and buggy. When I tried to enter anything online while returning the truck, it just spun and spun and would not register my location. The staff, however, was great and the truck was very useful.
DAVID Ctruck had many miles on it and was kindof a rattle trap. Needed new wipers. The interior wooden tie down slats inside could not accomodate new smaller strap hooks. Had to tie ropes onto wood slats and then hook straps onto ropes. Interior light stayed on the entire trip.

MICHAEL JThe location and workers are great, but UHAUL'S hidden fees are obnoxious. Just reveal all the fees up front. For instance the SAFE MOVE COVERAGE, THE VEHICLE RECOVERY FEE, AND THE ENVIRONMENTAL FEE. Be honest. The price overall was fair and most people will pay it, without feeling like they're dealing with a disreputable company. So no, I would not recommend U--Haul, at least not without a warning to expect to pay about twice what is advertised.
ALAN MTruck share 24/7 was a troublesome process. No one I knew was awake for Uhaul to call, so I was stuck without the truck from 6am-8:30am, when they opened. It's not the easiest when you don't have a passport, no lease agreement, and everyone you know is asleep…

DANIEL PCheckout was simple, but I didn't have to wait in line. Since I'm a repeat customer and rent a few times year, I wish checkout was even easier and faster. Why do I have to go into the building to checkout, why can't I do the paperwork on line and then have the person who hooks up the trailer finish checking me out? That woud be great.

Mark KHave trucks that are newer and in proper working condition (windshield washer on left was inoperable in bad weather). No backing camera. I would have gladly paid more for a better equipped truck but the option was not available.

Timothy GI asked the clerk when I rented this truck to please provide me with a vehicle that was tested, reliable, newer, and serviced. I told him I am a woman traveling alone across the country and I needed a reliable truck. He assured me the truck was serviced and tested. I noticed the check engine light was on and was assured the truck was recently serviced. After fueling the truck and leaving at midnight during a dense snowstorm, the transmission would not shift above 30 MPH. I continued slowly through the snow storm to the highway. Once conditions cleared, I tried to accelerate and travel faster. The truck still would not shift to a gear above 30 MPH. I stopped, pulled off the road a couple times to restart the engine. The truck would still not change above third gear and accelerate, and the truck shook violently. I continued at 20-30 MPH down the highway, alone and at 2AM, searching for a safe location or hotel to stop and get help as cars and large trucks sped around me, nearly slamming into the truck. I was terrified and in a no-cell area. I could not call for help or do anything but slowly roll down the highway and PRAY I was not left stranded on the highway at 2AM in the middle of nowhere without cell service. I saw a hotel just off the highway and rolled into the parking lot. I was able to get a room safely for the night. U-Haul sent out a repairman early the next morning who told me the transmission completely failed and they should have never rented me the truck. Hours later, I was told to drive the same truck across town to another U-Haul location to get another truck and meet movers to transfer my belongings from the 26' truck to another truck. HOURS later, the movers arrived. It took another 3,5 hours to transfer my belongings to the new (but very old) truck that was disgusting, was not serviced, and had no fluids. I was now a day and a half behind schedule and had to drive through the night to get to Florida from Northern Michigan. It took me 18 hours of driving without rest to get to my destination in Florida to meet pre-scheduled movers due to the delay. I called to file a complaint and get reimbursements. Two days later, no one from U-Haul has returned my call. THIS TRIP WAS A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE! Do not use U-Haul for anything. There are so many alternatives, cheaper, and better services available. I will never make this mistake again. I am so thankful that I am unharmed - exhausted, but unharmed.

GREG EThey did a great job explaining where to park and place the keys. But a reminder to watch the video for checking in/ maybe a heads up to scan the key tag before placingit on the mailbox. I never had to do that. I always checked trucks/van with an actual person.
ANITA MHave been using The Package Store for year when I need to rent something from U-Haul. Very helpful and well stocked. There are U-Haul locations closer, but I like the service from The Packing Store!

GEORGE MI made the reservation on my phone app. The app said the independent dealer location near me did not have the trailer I requested and directed me to the recently opened company owned location (which is further away). I called my closer independent dealer location and they said they in fact had the trailer I wanted, so I had them modify the reservation to my desired closer dealer. It seems your reservation app is favoring company stores and that is unfortunate. One of your primary strengths is the extensive independent dealer network. I hope you retreating them fairly.

ANTONIO BHere's a refined version with clarified sequence, simplified language, and removed redundancy: Booking the truck was easy, and we felt well-prepared after navigating the website. However, as the pickup day approached, things became confusing. A few days prior, I received a text from an unknown number asking us to answer calls from the listed phone number to confirm if alternative accommodations could be made as they needed my truck. We replied to the text, confirming our availability for a call, but the promised call from the U-Haul team on Friday never came. Instead, we received another text, stating they no longer needed our equipment and would proceed as planned. We also never recieved the "day before" confirmation call. On Friday, after receiving several texts and emails but no calls or voicemails, I reached out to our scheduled MESICK pickup location to confirm the reservation and check if we could pick up the truck earlier. The representative seemed uncertain but assured me we could call upon arrival if we got there ahead of time. When we arrived Saturday morning at MESICK, we discovered our reservation had been moved to a different pickup location, even though all previous communication was with the original location. This unexpected change added an hour of extra logistics, which was frustrating and inconvenient. I felt like this experience was very confusing in a time of overwhelming and emotional move.
GERI AYour check in process is clunky and inefficient, my wife had to be called at 5 AM to verify the process, it made it seem very drawn out as it added 15 minutes to the process and I was outside in the cold unnecessarily

DAVID KThis is an older building and the space is shared with a packaging store. The equipment yard was clean and orderly, but cleanliness of the interior could be improved.
BRETT TWonderful service agent (Rob), took care of everything for me including hooking up the almost new 4x8 trailer, testing lights and assuring a safe hook-up. Trailer has extra long neck making backups a breeze, can easily see traffic via RVMs and MPG only dropped a little v a 5x8 I had previously rented. Great value at $15/dy.
