TINA A.Really, the only thing that could be improved is that, I paid for a utility dolly to help make the move easier, but it wasn't included in the van. It made the move take a bit longer and was a bit more difficult, but overall, everything else was great. Would definitely use again.

mark S.The truck I received had a horrible wobble in the steering wheel at speeds over 25 mph when I picked it up. I rented this for a cross country move, so naturally I was concerned about reliability. When I asked for a different truck I was told none were available and since I couldn't postpone my move I took it anyway, but halfway across the country it broke down. Obviously when I booked the truck I let Uhaul know the nature of my move and I assumed they would at least go over the truck to make sure it didn't have any glaring issues, but apparently I was wrong. I realize that ultimately it's my fault because I knew the truck had problems and I took it anyway but at that point there were too many other factors being influenced by the move to postpone it. Also on my rental contract the Uhaul rep specified that I picked this truck up with a quarter tank of fuel and when I got it it was emptyâ€"like, ‘I barely made it from the rental yard to a gas station' empty. This was only a problem because it meant that I needed to return it with a quarter tank, which in this case cost me over 50 bucks at drop off. If you're wondering why I didn't raise this issue when I picked up the truck, it's because the Uhaul rep called me the day before I was scheduled to pick up and told me I needed to take care of the paperwork over the phone, so when I got to the pickup location I just grabbed the key from a lock box and took the truck. Overall not a great experience for a $6000 truck rental.
Ian W.U-Haul equipment should have both light adapters for their equipment to hook up to my Truck. I think I paid more for the adapter than I did the rental on the trailer. The people that run American Canyon U-Haul are the best

Caleb B.Uhaul LeMaster 25182732 I had a 24hr pickup for 17' at American canyon location. When I got there the system said I didn't have 24hr, so I called 707-921-1432 and spoke to Matthew! He told me I didn't have 24hr option, so I could either wait until 9am or he could find me another location. I opted for another location, but to have a one way drop off in American canyon! He found me a 15' in Vallejo and told me that I would be charged an extra $50 for the one way drop off, but I would be reimbursed $50 in 3-10 business days for inconvenience fees! I went to return my uhaul at American canyon to Mariah grazano and her and customer service told me that I couldn't drop it off there and that they had my key in the drop box, so it's not their fault and that I wasn't in their system. They stated that I would be charged $190 extra of a $71,75 estimated charge or I could take vehicle back to Vallejo and take a Uber back to my car that was now parked at American canyon location! I told! I told them that Matthew already stated that I would only be charged $50 and that I would be reimbursed! Mariah and customer service than tells me that if I don't pay the $191 then I will be put on a no drive list! Lindsay from live chat: Okay what I can do is file an objection for you to the locations management team and then they will contact you back within 2-3 business days to resolve.

Jon helped me clear up an issue that I had with UHaul in regards to a previous rental that had clerical issues. He goes above and beyond when compared to any other uhaul facility I've used. He is truly the best. Merci encore!

ABHIMANYU D.Inspect your equipment before you rent it. The tires on the trailer were bald and had to be replaced which added 2 hours to my wait time. It should have been replaced prior to me pointing it out during inspection. Good thing I arrived early.

Sean J.I was really disappointed with this rental process. #1 Finding the actual U-haul phone number for this site was extremely difficult. #2 I called the central number in search of a 5 x 8 utility trailer in the Napa, California area. I was told there was only a 4x7 trailer available in American Canyon, California and I booked it. I went to the facility and and discovered that the 4 x 7 trailer was too small for my purpose, and was preparing to leave. To my surprise, the customer service guy then tells me that he actually has the 5 x 8 trailer I was looking for . Long story short, this mix up would have been fairly normal if I were looking for a bottle of shampoo at the local grocery store. For U-haul to not know the exact inventory of utility trailers on hand is kind of frightening don't you think? #3 when I called 7 times during normal business hours to ask how I could return the trailer after business hours, but the customer service guy never returned my call. When I got there, I just unhooked the trailer and left it the middle of the driveway hoping that someone wouldn't steal it. The next day, I got a receipt for the charges in my email. That was the only way I could verify that the return process was complete. On a scale from 1 to 10, my experience was a 4. Don't think I'll be back to America Canyon Uhaul!
