Not for any reason you would think. I was the third place the I was sent to pick up a reserved truck, miles from my point of use. Then UHaul charged me extra miles because I had to drive 25 miles out of my way to pick it up. The app is useless and anyone you get on the phone wants you to check the app, well guess what? If you can't get service for your phone, you can't get the app. I needed 12 blankets which they did not have. I need a TV box, which they did not have. the second pick up point closed early, after hours pick up is useless.

Jeff GreenProvide written proof that the equipment was dropped off at this location in good condition. I dropped the 6X12 trailer off about 1pm on Friday, January 12,2024 and was told that I would receive an email stating that the equipment was dropped off in good condition. After an hour after drop off and no email I call the location twice to inquire about an email which is written proof that I dropped the equipment off in good condition and to no avail I was told that I was good and not to worry. Not what I was expecting.
Chukudi CrawfordLettie (sp?) was AWESOME! Her supervisor not so much. Lettie went above and beyond in everything she did including explaining the vehicle was just dropped off and was not cleaned, stunk like cigarettes, gas tank was on empty etc. When the low tire indicator came on as we were pumping gas, we took it right back and of course Lettie aired up both front tires for us. Her supervisor was no help. Lettie should be promoted to supervisor! At the end of the day when we returned the van, Lettie provided a discount because of the strong smell and uncleanliness. All this, and we were literally sent over to the Midlothian TX location LAST MINUTE THAT MORNING because the Hwy 77 Waxahachie TX location called us as we were driving there and told us they didn't have our van because someone needed it for an extra day. Huh? We reserved that van 2 weeks prior! Bottom line, Lettie rescued us with only receiving our transferred reservation minutes before she even opened at 8 am. Thank you Lettie!!! Donna V LaryAfter new owners took over they more than doubled their rates, quote "because the rates were lower than everyone else around". It went from feeling like a family ran business to a greedy corporation. Any time you call they NEVER answer and you'd get forwarded to a call center. The new lady is extremely rude and lacks customer service skills. Told me with an attitude to do some research and ill find that there the best deal around well ACTUALLY I found several less expensive and climate controlled. GOOD RIDDANCE.

thomas harrisThe previous owners were excellent. The new owners are interested in money only. They raise your rates with little to no notice by sending an email instead of contacting you by mail or by telephone. My rates were raised twice during this year and went from $130 a month to $282 in under a year. You are also forced to buy insurance whether you want it or not. I now have an equivalent storage closer to my home for $120 per month. When you try to discuss any anything with them it falls on deaf ears. The staff that was present on my move out day was very pleasant however. Also, I reserved my U-Haul online the day before. I tried to do online check-in, but it wouldn't let me because the truck wasn't there. Fortunately, they had ONE left though it wasn't the size I needed. So it cost me a ton in extra mileage fees.

NICHOLAS GEORGIANIt was a 20 degree Texas winter day. Needed a van for 4 hours. After I rented the van, I realized the heat was not working in it at all. Poorly maintained GMC cargo van, no heat at all - it was freezing!

LEONARD BURNS | Expérience généralewhen the new owners decided to double the rent I was paying and did not notify me of the price change I decided right then i was going to have to move out of my storage unit. I moved out on March the 3rd and when I asked if they would prorate or refund me some money since I was not there for the whole month of March but their reply was they don't do that which I think was very unfair. The new owners are there to make more money and are not considerate when it comes to the old customers that have been there for years. As far as I'm concerned they are charging way to much money for their storage units and I should of been refunded some money since I used the unit for 3 days in March..

However, the new ownership is very inconsiderate and impatient and perhaps outright disrespectful! They are very pushy and do not consider customers as valuable. They raised the rates by well over 100 % with just a 30 day notice during these harsh economic times rather than doing so gradually. I would never recommend this new ownership for anything! HAROLD BANKS | Expérience généraleMy experience was a challenging one. I was given a designated parking spot. It was specific. Unfortunately, management let someone park a trailer in my spot one day, which then was unmoveable for almost 6 months. I specifically elected a spot, but management was unable to move the trailer. The owner was helpful but the staff was abrasive as they were the ones that placed the trailer in my designated location. My voicemails were ignored, deliberately. When I called, the office attendant addressing calls said that I just need to find another spot. I did not want another one as the sun protection of my spot was ideal. He said flippantly "then go to another storage area". I asked to speak to the owner he said "no, you will not." He also indicated that he had been deleting my messages to the owner that were left after hours. Overall, I will let you determine my overall experience level at this location and at U-Haul. I then complsined the drivethru had all glass and nails could they sweep and was ignored. I staued a month and left when all my stuff got dirt all over it

I was not willing to support such a ridiculous increase in rates & found another local storage facility with reasonable rates , more in line with what the previous owner at The Storage Place used to charge. The new rates at The Storage Place are absurd.

CHET ENOS | Expérience généraleThis location needs an air compressor on site the first vehicle that I rented had a tire going flat and I was told to go to Exxon and fill it up. Thankfully, someone returned a similar vehicle and they switched vehicles for me. Fifty minutes later I had a van. They should have adjusted the time out for me. Luckily, I managed to return it on time. They were very helpful, especially the lady in the office. Very polite too.
DAWN CAINNew owners came in and raised rates from 70 to 100 percent. With no notice Roll up door was always very hard to open. Was never repaired properly. Will never use again or recommend.

RUSSELL ALTMAN | Expérience généraleOwner is a 29 year old who said that he would rather weed out the people and get capacity open to 50, then deal with people that can't be there or that might complain of the change in management and rate hike. It wasn't the rate hike, it was the terse email from new manager that was condescending and belittling. I did not like the facilities, it was dirty and to be honest I did not really look and see if there was added security but it appeared that there was no security other than a few old broken cameras.
