Good service, the location isn't super busy since it's a small town, but everything was handled fine.
KATHERINE GI checked "average" for the drop off location rating because I never saw the inside of the office. I don't know if it was "clean and inviting" and the helpfulness was marginal at best. Eventually they were helpful but made it seem as if I was imposing. No one was at the location for either my trailer or my truck drop off, but there was a handwritten sign on the door stating they would "be back on Friday at 9:00 am". I was there about 1:00 pm and they were closed. There was no obvious signage about a key drop location. I called customer service and was told I could check the equipment as returned by using the app. I don't want to use apps, I want to return the equipment to a person so I will know it's been received in good order. I walked around the building to see if I could find someone from another business to see if they knew anything about where the UHaul staff were. As I was walking away in frustration, a lady came out from another business, did not identify herself and I asked if she anything about the UHaul staff. She said she was the staff and I said the sign on the door said they would be open and they are not. I said someone needs to be there when they say they will. She said, "I'm there all the time" Obviously she isn't. She said she had appointments she needed to go to on Thursday and Friday when I was trying to make the return, she noted the equipment was in the lot and marked it returned. I did not receive an email about the returned trailer I made on Thursday until late today (Friday )and I still don't have anything about the returned truck which I returned earlier today (Friday). I understand they are not a busy location and perhaps cannot afford full time staff these days. But if a sign is put up saying when they will be there and they aren't that is very frustrating. When people make arduous 2300+ mile cross country drive in 3 days with a loaded 20' truck with an auto trailer, we're tired, and just want the return to be pleasant and go smoothly with all the necessary close out notifications handled efficiently so we can close the loops and we can focus on settling in. I

Tony BTHERE WAS A EQUIPMENT LOCATION PROBLEM THAT WAS SOLVED BY THE OFFICE IN BUTTE MONTANA AND IT WORKED OUT JUST WONDERFUL. AND I WAS REALLY SURPRISED THAT THE GAS MILEAGE WAS AS GOOD AS IT WAS.I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE REALLY HORRIBLE WITH A 26 FOOT TRUCK, BUT IT WORKED OUT WONDERFULLY.THANK YOU

Joshua EIt was nice to have a location close to the storage unit to drop it off at. However because I dropped it off after hours there was no one to meet me which I understand. However the next morning I tried coming twice and no one ever answered the phone so that I could talk to somebody about having dropped off the vehicle. And every vehicle in the box still had the keys in the ignition so anyone could come and steal any truck they wanted to at any point.
Joshua ECheck engine oil it was low. Windshield wiper were so bad you could not drive the rain. After truck got operating temperature it would barely start.
KEN RThe cab was not cleaned after someone had spilled something sticky. The truck had a lot of previous damage that was noted. It did not drive well. I think something from an incident had not been taken care of. The rental people at pick up location were great I would recommend.

Jimmy PGenerally a good experience at the drop off location however, I was charged an additional $200 for over mileage. Not sure how they calculated that and may have included mileage from the truck I had to return. $1,800 is a lot of money in my world for a uhaul move from Wyoming to north central Texas. Simply too much money for what I got in return.
George SVery helpful. Even had all my paperwork done and finished when I got done unloading my stuff into a storage unit. I expected to spend at least 30 minutes signing and inspecting ect. Not at all. She was fantastic.

Tony BIt was very easy and convenient to drop the trailer off in Cody. I had purchased an extra day because I wasn’t sure that we could get the trailer emptied in time but everything went smoothly and I turned it in on the original day of the contract. The lady that checked it in was so helpful and explained the process to receive a refund from U-Haul. I did as she said and had a refund by the end of the day! Great experience end to end.
Judy DSimply dropped off the trailer and went through checkout through the app. No staff were present as the location closes before afternoon.
Cortland PI was told by the clerk that anyone could drive the U-haul truck - no need to complete an additional driver on application. I did anyway, not certain if she was correct. I found the clerk to be very terse, not friendly in the least.

Everything, i mean every single thing I had in there was full of mouse droppings. You would have thought it had been years of storage instead of 6 months while i found a house out of state. It was so bad, i had to call the exterminator for my new house as they were hidden inside my belongings and infested my brand new home. It was beyond my worst nightmare storage story. 😫 I regret trusting my belongings would be safe.
