The Uhaul was filthy; the whole back was full of mud and so my furniture (like my mattress and couch!) got covered in dirt and mud. I put old sheets down to try to prevent some damage to my furniture, but dirt still flew around while driving the truck. I was very disappointed. The front cab was also full of mud but I wasn't as upset by that as shoes get dirty while moving anywaysKaitlinn S.

Tommy's car wash was great!!! ðŸ'¯ We weren't supposed to bring our trailer back to this location. We tried to bring it back to the Lively Inn at 455 Regional Road in Lively. It's completely embarrassing for me to say that I live in the same little town as the Lively Inn!!! I feel so bad for anyone trying to stay at this dump! Now this place, the Lively Inn is beyond disgusting!!!! I will never ever step foot in this place again! There was nobody there to help us anyway, even though there was workers there. The place stinks so badly. The communication is non existent there. The workers do not wear masks or have hand sanitizer around. The lady tried to tell me to ring the bell, the bell doesn't work!!! It's actually hard for me to describe on here how messed up the Lively Inn was!!! On a scale of 5 star.. it was a negative 100!!!! ðŸ¤¢Vicki D.

The Trailer light wiring was suffering from a broken prong and a broken wire. The attendant provided a quick repair from a spare trailer wiring extension he had in the shop. It was good that he was able to get us going but it did cause a 1/2 hr delay and a repair in the cold that could have been avoided if the equipment had been inspected before i arrived for pick up.Jamie F.
Using personal phone to take pictures of licence, because machine was broken. Not wearing a mask during Covid. Cavalier and off-putting demeanour. Ask for bill clarification and was told to review the email. Not a great experience and final bill much higher than expected.MATTHEW S.

I had the trailer for maybe 2 hrs your rates are your rates. The gentleman I dealt with needs people skills one of your reps shoukd go in there to rent something., without his knowledge of who they are. I will drive across town or to another rental company before I rent from him again.Ian C.

The truck was on empty. The previous renter, The cab of the truck smelt like beer. The back of the truck was very dirty ( I sweeped). I was told to bring it back at 1/4 tank of gas of which I didn't use. Only 21 klm I drove and put more gas in the truck than I used. I was charged $5 for pads which I never asked or used. I never had the pads. On Nov 13th, I rented a van and I was very happy with the rental.Liane M.

The vehicle had a very strong odour of cigarette smell. My wife and I had to keep our windows down due to the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke. When mentioning this to the gentleman who was on duty totally ignored our commentâ€¦.Paul B.

I do not blame the location but I am upset that I only found out that I could not get the uhaul after already paying for it on the pick-up date. Fortunately the fraud on my account was low enough that I could still get the uhaul but then they charged me a second time for the uhaul upon drop off. Even upon calling to correct the error I was not immediately refunded. I am buyin gmyself a cargo trailer and never renting from uhaul again.Loraine B.

Husband returned the vanâ€¦.. I had not even told him my experience picking it up, and his comment was, the fella working there was â€œmr personalityâ€ (not). Anyways, uhaul help us move our furniture out of our sold cottage. It provided what we needed. Just very poor service.KATHYANN M.
The truck itself was fine but they didn't open on a Saturday until 10:00 in the morning. We were having some issues trying to pick it up which resulted in my having to call and from there we were able to eventually get the vehicle. We could have had it earlier if there had been someone at the counter. Mobile check-in is good but when you have an issue, it sucks.Elizabeth M.

I had to settle for a smaller truck than I rented as this company rented the one I reserved on me for being 1 HT lyre for pick up than I put on the reservation. This caused to not be able to complete my move as expected and had to arrange trucks and trailers from friends the next day. The most rude and uncaring business I have ever dealt with. My "guarenteed" pickup wasn't ready. I did not get the 50 dollars advertised for if my truck wasn't ready. I had to go to another location and be on the phone. It took over 1 hour to get a truck. Once returned via mobile dropoff it tried to charge me an additional 60 dollars for gas. Although I put gas in already. The truck worked but the service was poor. The price was ok but not as advertised. I also paid for a dolly that wasn't there. The guarentee of your truck being ready means nothing. Even when two people told me I would get the 50 dollar credit I never diddave E.

Never in my life have I seen a dealership so on the ball. With so little words I was in my vehicle and gone. We encountered several obstacles and then they two were also gone. A master at his craft the shop owner and manager has made me a U-Haul user for life.Eddie J.

I arrived to the store, door was locked, owner is nowhere to be found. I call uhaul to see what's going on, the guy shows up. Barely says two words, I pay he comes and looks as I hookup the trailer and then leaves. We'll the lights decide not to work, after checking my fuses I walk around the trailer only to find wires exposed on the passenger side fender. I tried calling g uhaul to explain the situation, only to be told I have to ask for a refund from the owner...which had left asap. So because I could not take the trailer because I'm not getting rear ended for the lack of lights working o the trailer. So I guess I'm just out 60$ the trailer stayed there for the entirety of the rental time. Thank you uhaul, I will make sure to let everyone I can know how terrible the service was and how little you cared that I just paid to rent a trailer I couldn't use.Anthony H.

Originally made a reservation for a truck in Hanmer, ON. However when I went to pickup the truck their was none available. After being on a lengthy hold with U-Haul the customer service representative could not locate any available trucks. Within a few minutes I got a call back from U-Haul scheduling I believe it was and thankfully she was able to find us the truck we used at another location.Sheldon A.

I had no issue with this particular location, but the experience as a whole was terrible. I booked a month in advance to ensure I would have the appropriate truck on moving day. Two days before I was due to move, I was notified that only a 20' was available. I had specifically booked a 15' as anything larger couldn't be parked near the door of the building I was moving from, meaning significantly more effort to move. At the same time, my reservation was reduced from 24 hours to 7, with no reduction in rate. In fact, I was charged a higher price for the larger, less convenient truck I had not reserved. Pickup location was moved further away - another increase in cost due to additional miles and gas. On arrival, I discovered their online check in process is terrible, and lost nearly an hour of the already reduced rental time. I wasn't the only person there having this issue. Was hung up on by online chat when I asked them to explain how I was supposed to send a 'non-digital' photo lof my drivers license online. Gas tank isn't full on pickup, meaning when you return it either you haven't filled it enough, and they can overcharge you for refilling and slip in a few extra litres in the process, or you overfill it and give them free gas yourself, as the gauge is tiny and not partifularly well marked. Easily rectified by requiring the tank to be full, but I guess Uhaul isn't going to give up the extra fees. Overall an extremely frustrating experience. Last time I will ever use Uhaul.Brian C.
