JEFFREY EThe staff was great there. I went to the kayak one and they had the trailer I needed but the person there said they were NOT going to dig it out. I will never do business with the Amsterdam Kayak uhaul. All my business will be out of Johnstown even though it is further.

Michael VI did not get the truck I wanted I had to get a smaller truck. The transmission was slipping. I was lucky to get up to 35mph. The appliance dolly was broken I could not tighten down my stuff. The truck was clear of snow. Nothing was ready by the time I got there. I had to b load the dolly by myself. Customer Service was horrible. When I explained what was wrong with both truck & dolly all I got was oh well we will look into it. No apology or anything. I was still charged full price for dolly even though I didn't use it. Very very dissatisfied with Uhual all the way around

KIM HThink all trucks should be full of fuel at pick up then you know it has to be full when you return it. I know know I got charged extra for fuel when I had the same amount if not a little more in it when I returned truck. Forgot to take a picture so could not argue the point.

nicholas battendant was rude and unbelievable disrespectful. I was overcharged with fees that was not disclosed at time of rental. There was no explanation as to these charges that I did not agreed to. Estimate was stated at rental only for cost of truck, gas, estimated mileage and the 24hrs time allowed without extra charges plus taxes. that was it. Yet unbeknownst to me other charges with acronyms that a renter would not understand. I did not signed agreement sent to my email wich in on my computer at my home where I would not see detail until I returned home when finished with rental. This was such a bad experience. Whilst insisting on explanation, he tried confusing me with all non-fact narratives with outright lies and deceit when he was not present when the rental took place. I wasn't buying it; then with vindictiveness he call the police. Other renters said they have had similar experience and will not rent from this vender again. I would appreciate refund for the charges i did not agreed or was informed about where I would have had the choice to rent or not. Nothing came of the police being call, thus a total abuse of wasting the officer's time just to get rid of me. These practises will eventually catches up to this vendor. Not a good look representing your company. The way you handle this will be telling henceforth.

francine hThis location was amazing. Will rent from there again and recommend. However the location on st thomas place in Gloversville ny was horrific. I left in tears and when I said I wasn't getting one my son contacted the tool shed. Maybe be chosier about who you let have places under the name of uhaul. With st thomas location would never use again

ANTHONYLEE II was leery on trying uhaul again after a different location I went to last year and had an absolutely horrible shady experience. However, this location was very helpful and honest and my bill is exactly as it should be as well. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a uhaul, no matter the size. Friendly helpful people!
AImeejoe GYour return policy is over complicated. I returned the vehicle the same day I rented it. Put the key in the drop box and then saw your request for mileage,...I had locked the doors and dropped the key before. Could not provide. I returned the vehicle at 5:00 same day

william hI opted for 24/7 pick up but when I arrived-that was unavailalbe and had to wait for the shop to open-about a 45 minute delay to my day. Dont offer 24/7 service to this shop.

Reggie NFirst, I arrived at the tool shed rental place after booking the appointment online the night before. The lock boxes are not where they are indicated in the photos. After finally making it through the prompts and being assigned a truck. My fiance, two children and I looked through the lot and could not locate the assigned truck. After 30 minutes my fiance called the uhaul help line and had a 20-30 minute wait, we opted for a call back then called our other local uhaul place,JJ Prestine, which answered the phone and said he could help, and would be able to transfer the rental. We arrived and were getting set up when Uhaul customer service called back. I spoke with them, was told I would get a refund for the tool shed rental and a $50 credit for the aggravation. After that JJ finished a different contract, extended my time and took good care of me, I returned the truck ahead of time and finished. However, the following day, the woman from the tool shed location called me and asked me why I hadn't returned the truck. I explained that I never took it and the truck was not there. She said she would look into it. About an hour or so later I received a call from the police asking me about this mystery truck. I spent 20 minutes of my work day explaining to the officer the details of my experience. I asked the officer to please go check any camera footage because I did not leave with a truck. He called back later in the day with some follow up questions. Now one more day goes by and the tool shed place charges my card nearly $300 dollars!!! I immediately called uhaul customer service and spent another 30 minutes on the phone explaining the details, which got escalated to management and then to a district rep. I have yet to hear from the rep. I have had the worst customer experience of my life at nearly 40 years old. The Tool shed rental place should be closed immediately.
