We were delayed by almost an hour due to incorrect information from the online booking. We booked the teuck for 8 am but we arrived to find the location didnt open until 9. So we waited for person to arrive, ffind our reservation and get the truck. Not his fault, just online booking problem.

Had o ask for assistance to attach the trailer; the young man was not very familiar with the equipment and apparently didn't attach it correctly (training issue): the door to the trailer was broken and injured a person.

As a approved dealer of U-Haul services, staff should be properly trained on sign out procedures. Rental was not clean upon receipt.

This rental trucks box was not cleaned. Did not discover this until box door was opened at move location,much mud and broken glass,cleaned up enough to get my stuff in. Should not be charged $25 for cleaning,charge the previous renter,this location should have checked box before rental.

The cab was dirty and dusty - it hadn't been wiped down - there was a surgical glove lying on the floor of the drivers side, pretty disgusting actually... I got two bags of blankets, one was ok, the other was wet inside and smelled terrible, but had not choice but to use them... the mildew smell caused my throat to swell up a bit - I will never go back to this location. I complained to the owner/operator, all he did was give me $5 out of the till. No covid precautions were take in any respect, even though I was wearing a mask - no attempt was made to reciprocate. I don't think he had a mask on the premise at all.

The issue is I never should have used this location. I had booked a trailer at a location near me about 3 weeks before!! I called on Thursday, July 30th to confirm that my trailer would be ready for pick-up on Saturday, August 1st at 8:00am...as per my reservation. The gentleman told me that there will not be a trailer available until Sunday, August 2nd. What happened to my reservation??? And I'm glad I called to confirm or else I would have been scrambling to find another trailer!!! This was a terrible customer experience!!! Thankfully after waiting on hold for 45 minutes I was able to speak to someone who transferred me to someone else who has able to secure a trailer for me at this location!!! This location was a 40 minute drive away as opposed to the 10 minute drive I should have had at the first location!!!

Staff is often too busy pumping gas to serve U-Haul customers properly. Computer is in an outdoor shelter with extremely high level of ambient light, making it almost impossible to read the screen. I suggest moving the U-Haul to the indoor customer service desk which is not as busy as the gas bar and has better working conditions for the staff to see what they are doing.

My contract was to return the truck to Eganville Ontario, When we arrived we found this location had been closed for 5 years. I was then asked to deliver it to Barry's Bay Ontario. When we arrived the owner said he was done with U-Haul and would not accept the truck. He eventually took the truck but said I would have to call U-Haul and have someone check me in. I called your customer service number, a was greeted by a French speaking agent who offered no solution or help. The only help I received was from Blair in Almonte Ontario. As a result I spent an additional 2 hours on the road with my wife following in my car. You need to seriously upgrade your web locations and keep your dealers in the loop. Your customer service agent should be flipping burgers. Very unprofessional service and a very dissatisfied customer.

Operating a U-Haul rental facility at a Gas Station is a bad idea. First of all the waiting in line for cars to be filled up before the rental of the Trailer. Secondly, the Gas Station attendant was unfamiliar with the operation of the Computer software which was another delay. Thirdly the Ratchets for the Basket Straps were so rusty they were both seized to the point of having to be lubricated before they could be used. Finally, and most importantly I was told I could pick up the Trailer in Carlton Place and then the night before I get an email advising me to pick up the Trailer in Almonte ,ON. This means now I have to drive an extra hour each way to pick up and drop off the Trailer. This is totally unacceptable to the point of buying my own Trailer. I will not be renting from U-Haul anymore.

The rear door was very difficult to open and close. I requested an appliance dolly almost a week in advance. When I arrived I was told there were no appliance dollies available so I had to look for one elsewhere. I returned the truck the same day 1 hour before closing time. The attendant informed me he would process my paperwork the next day. It took me several days and a phone call to receive my final bill. I was charged for the appliance dolly. Five hone calls later and I am still trying to resolve this issue. I am completely frustrated and will not rent from here again!

I reserved an appliance dolly well in advance. Received a confirmation email the day before. Showed up to pick up and there was no appliance dolly to be had on site. I was recommended to go buy a new one. Not cool on move day.

(DO NOT USE THIS PICK UP LOCATION) !!!! I arrive on time and go to the designated spot I was told to go to, to receive the truck. It is first of all being run by a bunch of 14-16 year olds who were extremely unprofessional. I was greeted by one of them by being asked ‘what do you want?' so I processed to say I was there to pick up a UHaul and I gave them my information. The young man asked for help from a coworker to go get the truck while he processed my payment and the coworker said ‘I don't feel like doing it' and just walked away and drove around on a 4-wheeler, not doing his job. The young man processing my payment took all of about 10 minutes to do so, which is ridiculously long considering he just had to punch in the amount on the debit machine and hand it over to me. I had no idea what was taking him so long. After that, another young man takes the keys and says he'll bring to truck over to me, and proceeds to get the truck STUCK IN THE MUD which he could have avoided if he was paying attention. So he got out and had to go get a manager who was also extremely unprofessional and was laughing at the fact the truck was stuck. They eventually got it out after another 15 minutes of waiting. I then get in the truck and go on my way. I look down shortly after I'd left the pick up location to see that there is little to NO GAS in the truck when I was told it was a full tank. So I had to make another stop on my journey to fill it up. When I get to my destination (which I was now over an hour late for the movers) I open the back on the truck and there's no dolly in the back WHICH I HAD PAYED FOR. Absolutely disgusting customer service and experience. I will never return.

Rented a utility trailer and the tail lights did not work. Checked the electrical wiring with an electrical tester and it seemed the wiring was faulty on the trailer. As I needed a trailer that evening, did take the unit. Did know that I could have received a traffic ticket for an "unsafe trailer", however fortunately I was not stopped. The truck I drove had a steering issue as the steering appeared loose and it was difficult to stay in the traffic lane. it was my first experience with this type of truck and it was a windy day. The steering seemed to have a lot of play in it for a truck with 24,000 miles. I did not have a chance to speak to the operator when I dropped off the truck.

I did not receive a copy of the invoice for this vehicle rental. Was told everything is paperless and would be sent via email. Please forward a copy. Was told that the gas gauge was at quarter tank, failed to check until down the road when the "50 miles to empty" message came across the message screen. Had to put in $35, just to get up to quarter tank 10 minutes after leaving location where rented truck.

The experience was completely negative. Firstly, when placing the order I could not find my confirmation. I contacted support multiple times to get my order rectified. Now I am receiving email stating that I used 26" truck and picked it up at 8am in the morning, but I used 15" and picked it up in the evening. There clearly is some sort of issue and now I am additionally charged $70? Rediculous!
