Todd MI've been with this storage for 2,5 + years and have never been racially discriminated against especially in our beautiful city of San Juan Capistrano. We don't need the kind of personalities you have hired as your new management. I tried to leave musical instruments in the recycle reuse section that I got from my endorsement companies and he told me all my things were trash and that I needed to throw them away off site while letting another gentleman keep white trash bags in the share/recycling area. He was very rude and told me if I left my instruments he would charge me 1200 bucks. Don't worry, I left them and I'm considering if I want to take any further action because I was not alone. I literally had to drive 3 hrs extra on my trip because of the guy you put in charge of the store.

Anna, who is the customer service rep that I talked to when having to change my pick up location was extremely unprofessional and rude. She constantly talked over me. She should really not be in a customer facing customer service role.

The young man was polite and efficient. Had some difficulty with card entry business. Used intercom to request help, same young man responded. Had trouble with unit door lock, could not get lever far enough to the right to get holes lined up to insert lock. Used intercom again and another man cam to help. The lever required lifting to get it to slide to the right so could insert lock. The trolly carts were hard to control. No brakes and when loaded, not easy to maneuver. Broke a lamp as the cart rolled into my vehicle knocking boxes & lamp off.Parking was scarce also. Not many spots for my personal vehicle which I was unloading from. Lastly, did not feel real safe there after office closed. Anyway, overall ok experience. Thanks Arlene Starr

Michele SOccasionally, the lights would turn off and the alarm/siren would randomly go off while we were moving things out of our unit. Other than this, the staff was always helpful and the facility was always very clean! There was a homeless? man that was using the bathroom and he said he left his wallet upstairs and parked his bicycles outside for long periods, which made us nervous not knowing what he was doing in the building. He would wait by the door and piggy back on other people's access in and out…just seemed a little strange! He never bothered us, but just made us uneasy to be there at night like that!
Patty S | Expérience généraleThe manager 'Ethan' came and falsely accused me of 'sleeping' when I sat down and leaned back for less than minute when pulled muscle in my back, told me I wasn't allowed to 'hang out' (I just got there and wasn't even done unpacking into the new storage and raised his voice at me with many false accusations. I hope in the future it isn't uncontrollable to go to the storage if I need to which I told him wouldn't be often but I needed to repack as my mover left and did a terrible job and I had to with a metal arm and metal leg put it inside in an unorganized manner unexpectedly while injured. Tanya Cgas gauge was incorrect when I picked up the truck from what the store was saying didn't have time to run in and correct it being on a time limit, so I took pictures of when I picked it up and after I filled it up and dropped it off, I called the store to let them know and someone from management was supposed to get back to me, but didn't. So they charged me the fuel fee because I didn't have time to run in and correct it with them. There's a U-Haul down the street at a local janitor shop in Dana point just 2 miles down the road that's who I'll be using for now on.

Showed me one unit on a map and did not offer to show it to me in the facility. Then they said it was reserved. I asked if any others might come available near the #1281 that I already had. They said they did not know. Zero effort. I went to another local facility and rented a larger unit and came back on 12/31/23 to move out of #1281. When moving out a lady with a smaller unit saw me moving and wanted to rent the #1281 that I was exiting. She wanted a rack that I had. We tried to sort that out with the worker there but he said he could not do that. I had to move out and then someone who was not there needed to inspect the unit and then she could rent it. I removed the rack and turned the unit over to your staff. Not sure if the lady was able to rent the unit. Really, really bad service. No effort to get up and sell the units so I took my business elsewhere. I really enjoyed the facility though but never the assistance from the staff.

The guarantee promised a $50 payment if the vehicle wasn't available at pick up and the associate that I dealt with refused when I asked for it. U-HAUL has been a nightmare during both move ins. I'd never recommend it.

I knew I would be there after 7 and tried to check in online several times but the link would not work. I spent most of the trip from Phoenix in the phone with uhaul and no body could help this. I was supposed to be given a code to get in but nobody called me. I brought the truck and trailer there the next day, my time to be checked in was 0800 but because I couldn't get access the night before it took until 1000 to unload and I was charged for an extra day rental. Pretty mad about that. Anyway. The two people working in the office were really nice.

Your policies are inconsistent, and restrooms are disgusting. What a tremendous amount of money spent for such a crappy experience. Also, I fell out of the back of the UHaul at your facility, the handles are so thin it slipped through my hand, none of your employees could be bothered to check to see if I was hurt. And there were multiple employees around when it occurred. 0/10, would never recommend this location.

gloria f | Expérience généraleWe had a reservation for an 8x10 storage facility when we got there they had rented out storage to someone else and put us in a 10x10 which is more money as well. The gentleman at the call center was very helpful and turned this over to a general manager to handle by 7/19 or 7/20. The employees weren't very helpful when my husband and son went to load stuff into storage one gentleman just sat in the middle it helping anyone and the staff member who helped them was in no hurry to help them. Both my husband son got very frustrated and even had to tell him so. I run a busy grocery store and customer service is what keeps are doors open and they lack all customer service support this is the place in San Juan Capistrano.

I feel confident my belongings are 99 % safe & secure. Love the climate control compbined with the facility is 100 % concrete & steel. Large elevator and bathrooms on both floors near the elevator is a God send.

Unfortunately all that was available when I arrived was two units adjacent to each other equivalent to that size. Unfortunately, I had big furniture and it wouldn't fit through the door. Subsequently I had to leave the furniture out. I checked with your office to see if there was another available unit but your staff said there were none. I had to move only due to the storage situation. I even asked to be wait listed but unfortunately u do t have that. I actually love your place. I am going to keep checking back as I think you are the best storage in town. Hours, staff, cleanliness, card system, location! No wonder you are full! This place is a 10! Sorry I had to leave but no where to put my furniture!

The entrance where you drive up is an exit to the property and marked as such. Had to find a park on the crowded street and walk into the store to get directions. The staff person was courteous and very helpful. He was ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It was my friends and you didn't have any reason or approval from her to do that. $295. I was on the contract and it was my responsibility not hers in any way. She has defriended me and it's all your fault for not crediting her card back and not coming to me for the additional charges. It wasn't even 30 days that you charged her card. I was the lessee for the van not her. Ridiculous and I will never recommend UHaul to any of my friends. Plus your $19,99 a day rental. Is so far from that with all the other things that also expected to pay in advance.

From renting the truck to storing it an their storage units with the elevator and free carts. 2 very friendly guys that work there (wish I could remember their names, one guy had tattoos on his leg) ran up to help me load my mattresses. The whole experience was lovely.

I had one of your 20' trucks with a ramp. There was another uhaul truck with a trailer and a few more vehicles trying to unload. I eventually had to back in on a diagonal blocking handicapped space. It's a total clusterf*ck. Bright spot: new guy Josh. Still sort of training but great attitude. Willing to try anything to make it work for the customer. He'll probably lose that attitude as time goes by but he's awesome right now. I dread the day I try to get my stuff back out again.

I tried calling and it was faster to walk over to the counter. The contact button on the call box didn't contact me to anyone. It is a busy facility and other patrons aren't as mindful of parking so that others still have access (ergo, I showed up to unload my car only to see two trucks parked on diagonals and blocking the walkways with full carts - over and hour later and they were still there - I had to come back the next day). That all being said, it is clean, the moving carts are super helpful and feel new, and the location is convenient to my home and the freeway.
LAURA a | Premières impressionsTerrible reservation experience. Why overbook trucks and leave your customers screwed. Staff was not friendly. Check in takes FOREVER. They didn't have decency to show me exactly which truck was mine and I got in two wrong trucks and went back inside twice to clarify which truck is mine. I had a 3:30 pick up and they never even let me know the truck was running late. I even called and waited on hold for 20 mins since there is no direct line to the store and verified the truck would be ready. It was an hour late and they also tried saying my reservation isn't supposed to be until 6 even after I verified with two staff my pick up time. Unacceptable. I will not use uhaul again.
