Was told while making reservations online for cargo van it was $19.99, had it for 24 hours from 9am to 9am next day and was charged $180 and another $70, which I think is outrageous, will need a clear explanation as to what the charges are for. Thanks, 5122991227.

Went to Burnet/183 location only to find all vans were rented. Stella quickly volunteered to locate one for us. Turns out there was one down the road at Burnet/2222 - she reserved it for us. We rushed down and dealt with Kristian, he was great! Got us checked in and on the road in no time, very helpful and kind. The customer service at both locations was amazing - highly recommend.

This was a wonderful storage experience. The facility is safe, spotlessly clean, no bugs / animals or odors. The temperatures were perfect summer & winter. I appreciated the packing supplies that were available & facility accessibility was always convenient. Highly recommend this storage location! I had a unit for several years here and accessed it frequently. The property and buildings were always very well maintained and the staff was friendly and helpful. I had one minor issue with my unit while there and the manager, Heather, handled it swiftly and was very responsive and communicative while it was being resolved. Excellent service!

I was charged $39,6 for no reason from this location (unexplained). I was over the gas required to return. I was before the time due to return. I returned it clean and in tack with the dolly. I will not use U-haul again- very disappointing.

Pick up was easy, but the return I was charged for gas when I had filled it up higher than when I got it. Don't trust what they claim it started with gas, I took a photo when I got in the vehicle because I don't trust rental companies.

Since the location is primarily a storage unit with a locked gate, it isn't clear what to do with a truck drop-off. And there is limited space outside the gate. Perhaps a sign saying "Dropoff here" or other instructions.

Heather Poore, the property manager, was always very friendly and very knowledgeable, and very helpful. My only concern is that the storage fee (A238) seemed a bit excessive for the size of the storage space. Thus, I am not likely to rent storage space from U-Haul in the future.

The manager of this facility had great customer service skills. I had originally left a less then excellent review because my climate controlled storage unit was very warm inside. The manager read my review and was friendly and helpful. She moved me into a different unit where the air conditioning was working well (this was the middle of the summer when everyone was having issues with their airconditioning). I take back my last review. They were friendly and handled the situation.

Although for some reason, I had a tough time doing my move in by myself because the code given didn't originally work. Heather was extremely helpful and showed up in no time to help us get in. She made sure to continue to follow up to fix the problem. She made sure that we had an alternative while my code didn't work. I would recommend this place just because of her. Thanks, Heather.

The person at the front desk tried to be helpful, but was not very well trained on their job. The facility is really hard to navigate with a trailer. There had also been an advertisement for one free month of rent with the rental of a truck or a trailer. However, they said they only did that with one way rentals at this location. This was disappointing since the location I was at earlier in the day for the rental said that they would have honored that. But my biggest complaint is that I paid for a climate controlled unit, but my unit is probably about 80° inside.

I'm, start by not calling a customer because they are running late for a 7 am pickup time. I rented the van for a day, it really shouldn't matter what time I pick up the vehicle. Upon return was charged $15 for three gallons of gas because the attendant was incapable of currently reading the fuel gauge in the van. Still waiting for my refund.

I've rented 3 Uhauls in 3 different locations in Austin. This was by far the best! The last location I rented from, the truck was literally falling apart. After that Uhaul experience I had looked into another company. This location was close to me so I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm glad I did. The owner here was super friendly and very responsive. The truck was well taken care of and fully gassed up. I would definitely rent from here again.

This location is particularly run very well. The on-site management is superb. The facility was very clean, secure, and gave you a sense of old Austin. You can tell the building has been there for a while, but it's so well kept! Good communication with the management for move in/move out. Even the maintenance were polite, felt very safe.

This was the absolute BEST U-Haul experience I've had across multiple locations country-wide. In a world where good customer service is hard to find, Kevin and his team were a breath of fresh air. They were kind, joyful, and helped me get my reservation earlier than expected. The equipment was spotless and basically brand new. This location isn't the closest for me but I will exclusively be coming back here for any future rental needs.

Cons: There were only teeny problems with the 8' truck I rented. It was not at full gas as said, just shy about 1/16th of a tank. I returned it full. The truck had dings and damage to it, but they were covered with some sort of sticker so I did not have to worry about it. One sticker was in danger of falling off. I imagine these were related to the hail storm from the night before. There was a sensor that kept coming on. I'm assuming it related to the truck bed and ai have no idea what it was trying to tell me. And the truck was parked so close to a panel van, I had to get in via the passenger side to back it out. PROS: all that being said, the owner and operator, Heather, clearly enjoyed being the customer facing part of the operation. She was great with people and greeted everyone with a happy authenticity. She was very interested in our having a pleasant experience with her U-Haul location. When we called and said we were gonna be late returning the truck - she was genuinely appreciative that we had taken the time to let her know. I absolutely recommend this particular u-haul location.

This is the best storage facility among several that I have used in Austin & Houston. The staff is outstanding, available, efficient & highly professional. They are visible on the property & willingly assist with problem solving. The facility is very clean & importantly safe; access to units & staff is controlled. There are enough carts & items to help with moving our items around. I appreciated that sufficent postings were provided about locating units & the elevators. I highly recommend this facility & the excellent staff that provides amazing service.

South Dakota Uhaul almost cost you my business permanently. Too much to detail here, but will definitely be contacting corporate. Heather & Norvell, both General Mgrs of different local stores on Burnet Rd in Austin TX are wonderful. Norvell is the only reason I will continue to do business with Uhaul on future rental needs

Y'all let someone break in and multiple units were broken into. Maybe a little money back would be nice? I've been a customer for over 10 years. Unacceptable. The way the lot slopes is a safety hazard. The carts won't stay still easily while loading. They will roll away if you're not careful.

Staff were super nice and helpful, and we appreciated it very much. My wife had problems setting up auto-pay on the website. It kept telling her it was set up for both units but one unit incurred a late fee. But the staff was kind enough and refunded it. We still don't know what went wrong in trying to set up auto-pay for both units. Issues: Days before we were to move in, we verified that our unit was still available. But it wasn't held for us and so we had to get two storage units. We were given a discount, but we've calculated we paid $150 more than we would have if they hadn't given up our original storage unit. After only 3 months, our rent already went up! We were dependent on our contractor to move back in our house. It ended up that we only needed the storage unit one week into the renewal. We were again disappointed that we couldn't be partially reimbursed for the remaining three weeks. We realize we aren't talking about lots of money, but for us these additional expenses added up. Finally, when the moving company came to both move us in and then again move out our furniture the elevator stopped working! That was so stressful as we were not only paying them by the hour, but the first time they had to walk up the two flights of stairs. Luckily, the 2nd time the elevator was up and running in a relatively short time. So again we really appreciate all the help we were given, but we just can't give a high rating due to our reservation not being held, the cost of the units, and to the finicky elevator.

The staff at the Burnet Rd/2222 UHaul Storage in Austin, TX is excellent! I've used this UHaul Storage 3 different times for 3 different reasons and each time the staff was always exceptional. I most recently cleared out a unit that I'd had for 2 years and I have only good things to say about this place and the people who run it. Everyone should get a raise!

It would have be en helpful to know this instead of continuing to send reset instructions to my exhusband. The two emails a day until I completed this survey are unwarranted. Erika was very helpful and friendly, but when I locked myself out of my storage unit, the other employee was not helpful at all. I don't understand UHauls policy that you have to hire an outside locksmith- so ANYONE can just bring someone in to saw off a lock? Doesn't seem very secure. If this is not UHaul's policy, then employees should be on the same page. I called and was told 3 different things. I was told at another location that Uhaul would help me take it off for no cost but I would have to purchase a new lock. Thank goodness the locksmith I hired ended up being SO kind and taking off the lock for me free of charge because UHaul would not.

I paid for an AC unit - there was no AC. The facilities were disgusting and covered in dirt. The fire alarm battery was beeping. Corporate refused to help. I moved my stuff to another facility.

Other than my promotion on the cost for the unit expiring and then it being almost $100, it was excellent all around. I simply couldn't keep paying that money each month. Great customer service!

We canceled this. Last year we had a great experience. This year we didn't need storage. BUT, it took me multiple (4) phone calls which totaled well over an hour and a half to cancel our reservation.
