My first encounter with personnel was not impressive. They were socializing and no one was interested in my presence or providing service. One guy walked past me like I wasn't there and was miffed that I asked for service. Then I found I guy actually working outside who was helpful and friendly. He got my equipment retuned in about 2 minutes.

I never got the chance to drop off the cargo van back at the location because 10 minutes after picking it up another driver ran a red light and hit me. I'm ok, but I never got to pick up the cargo I was going to haul. I know this isn't anybody's fault at U-Haul, but definitely frustrating that I paid to rent the cargo van and didn't get to use it.

System was down when I rented and was shown a hand written receipt/contract, which I took a picture of. Next day I received and actual receipt/contract. I turned the trailer in a day early and was given no documentation. I received an email the next day showing I had turned in the trailer that morning. Does Uhaul refund for unused days on a prepaid contract?

When I arrived, the reserved truck had not been prepared for my use. The lone desk employee had to complete the paperwork, then find, clear (of overnight snow), and deliver the truck to the front door. This alone took about 20 minutes, while other customers were waiting. It was a very disappointing experience, at a location where I previously had encountered no such issues.

I wasn't advised of the extra charges for using a credit card. They charged me $20 for 4 gallons as gas and I only drove the truck 8 miles.

Make sure truck is clean before a customer picks it up,my truck was dirty inside and out(well, inside just needed to be vacuumed), and when I dropped the truck off and did the verification checklist I noticed a dent in the truck that I did not put there but I feel like they should’ve told me before hand that it was there.

Limped the truck to this location. They wanted to extend my time loss by trying to repair the vehicle. I declined, so they swapped it out for another one. Had to load and unload without any offer of help from the uhaul personnel.

I and other customers waited for maybe waited 30 minutes or a hour for service at this location and multiple people called corporate about the wait and poor service and also the vehicle once we got it they said we had to jiggle the key and steering wheel to get it to start everytime we had to start it took up to 10 mimutes for us to even get it started not happy with this location at all.

The tank was almost on empty and they said I drove 40 miles and I sure in the hell didn't! Out of a hundred dollars they gave me 5 back! Hell with the U-Haul on cedar street!

You might recommend to people to download the UHaul app. I had to download the app when I returned the trailer or pay $20 to have the store do the return the next day.

We scheduled to pick up our ubox on 1/6 (one we already had in storage to take home to clean out) but for some reason it was scheduled as a pick up of a new box. Waited for about 3 hours so they could get it out of where they store them just to get a phone call asking if there is anyway we could come back tomorrow because it was so buried in the building. We were offered a $100 refund for the trouble, still have not received this even after calling and mentioning it when we dropped off the empty ubox on 1/13. The staff was nice but not very knowledgeable and seemed to blow us off once we dropped it off.

Understaffed. When I returned my rental truck early on a Friday afternoon, I waited a long time in the lobby, then had to walk around through the lot to find someone to check the truck in. When I finally found someone, I asked if he was the only staff member on duty. He said yes.

I had to shovel off a lot of snow and ice from the windshield myself. Then the back was frozen shut and had to figure out a way to fix that myself. The moving pads I requested and needed were locked up in the truck so couldn't jaw them.

The driver is to be complemented -- excellent handling of her truck, the forklift, and the containers with a great demeanor and was exceedingly helpful. My phone conversations with your scheduler have also been good. So far I'm very pleased with U-Haul's service.

Staff was rude,acted like it was an inconvenience to even wait on my husband and I Explained nothing and his customer skills need lots of work. Plus never told that we were only allowed 118 miles and were charged for the 9 extra miles. Not at it was a lot but would of been nice to know before hand.

This is about the annex storage unit. Flies everywhere. There were always smells of food, it would smell like tortillas and then old cabbage. I had to put up fly traps because of someone else's gross storage unit. I was accused of sleeping in my storage units (I was not). I was also accused of having a fridge (I did not have a fridge, nor any kind of items that would attract the disgusting amount of pests)... There were a lot of issues with my first use of the units, as someone in jail/prison initially took my original units under their own volition, without knowledge to the staff. The opening of the garage was not correct, as I would have to wait for the doors to unlock past the time that I was originally told. For some reason, even though I would reset my "time in" every 2 hours, the alarms would go off and security personnel had to be called my first week of moving things in (I paid for after hours).. turns out, someone else was definitely coming in and not properly using their keys or just not using keys at all, and sneaking in.. and then there were people sleeping there as well, and also just coming in off the street and using the bathrooms (so much blood and obvious --hard-- drug use) ... This place left me feeling so frustrated after paying the amount of money that I was. Always something sticky on the floor (wonder where the flies were coming from?)... Grace periods were not an even trade-off; the place was "climate controlled" but that's not what the wall thermometer would indicate. Jordan's nice enough, but the place needs a little bit more care-taking. Not looking for a cash-grab/sucker born everyday experience.

Krazy glue, candy wrappers and trash were left in the cab. Something was scraping or dragging on or off the truck. Had to also prove that I returned the gas tank (I put more in than was needed) to its original measurement, and still an employee was trying to doubt and accuse the picture I took beforehand of possibly being from a different truck. After having to pay an overcharge after an unexpected trip to the ER from the previous rental I am just tired of my experiences at this location. Appreciate the "grace periods" but it does not make up for being accused of so many things. Paid a lot of money to the Cedar/Jolly location.

A few of the staff had a persona that they didn't even want to be there to work. When it came to a concern when I moved in I was brushed off. But other then that I didn't have an issue with where I had my belongings.

Tried to get help with the walk that was given to me to lock my storage, Try to explain to one of the staff members that the holes that the lot goes on does not align so the watt can go on it. So instead of helping me all I got was a shrug. As to say I don't know what to tell you.

This location provided excellent customer service! The manager was extremely professional and accommodating. When I first chose our storage unit, I didn't realize I chose the wrong size. She happily changed our order and did not charge us for the difference in size. My only issue is, the location of the unit inside of the facility was somewhat far from where the truck was so it was a lot of back-and-forth. However, the cards they provided were extremely helpful and needed. Overall, the process was great!

I dealt witha a young lady named PAYTON .she has glasses. She works at the jolly an cedar location in lansing mi, she was amazing , very thorough, fast efficient, quick on her feet with alternate ideas when what I was looking for wasn't available. Checking into the facility had unclear signage (where to swipe to check in was unclear). The card readers didn't work well/consistently. There were other readers available and with practice it got better, but overall could've been easier to start with.

I moved a bunch of stuff because I was building a home and had to sell mine. My move in date for my new build had changed 3 times in 4 months and kept getting pushed back. Jordan was extremely accommodating and understanding. When I brought some heavy weight equipment to the storage unit, Tarale, helped me a ton. Both Jordan and Tarale were so helpful, professional, and kind! I will use this location again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a storage unit!!!!!

I went into the Cedar/Jolly location a year and a half to two years ago and it seemed like an unorganized mess. I was hesitant to go back but it's the most convenient one. I was beyond pleased with the difference in cleanliness, customer service, and overall organization that I saw. Huge change from a year and a half ago! I was a little apprehensive about my things being safe at this store due to location but Jordan Martin took me to where my belongings would be held and showed me how secure the area was and that everything is under surveillance. Jordan was so friendly, personable, and reassuring which made me feel safe. I will be coming here for future services and also be recommending this location to everyone!!! Excellent job!!!! I am so happy with my experience!!!!

I have no disputes. The unit was clean and we'll kept. My issue with the employees was not the local employees. The issue was that I couldn't ever get through to management at Cedar and Jolly. Whenever I called I would get the phone service center. It was very frustrating.

the doors are too small within the actual facility. it was tough trying to fit large items within the storage.

The reason I did not give 5 stars is, because of the Access hours. I forgot to ask about it and the staff member did not inform me the day I got the unit. I spent close to an hour, trying to get through to customer service, to ask about the hours, just to find out the access hours is the same as the store hours, unless I wanted to pay to have after hours access. 

The lock on the outside door was broken...I reported that I could open the door and hoping it will be fixed as that would be a security concern. Otherwise, experience was excellent . It was well lit but I had concern about broken lock

I am rating an excellent for one reason, the boss Mr. O'Riley. he was very fair and exceeded expectations. However, the door situation and access is a bunch of BS. The doors never fin worked properly the entire time I was renting which was over a year. Totally fin stupid u cant get the doors to open properly...and stay open when they are supposed to after logging in and being in the unit. i had to prop the doors open everytime...including my last day...GET THE FUKIN DOORS FIXED!!!!!!
