I had a 15 ft. Box truck and it was clean and maintained, but it was raining when we moved and the cargo box leaked...a lot. It appeared the front corner caps were the issue. It looked like they were recently changed or caulked. The location manager was not aware of the issie and I get that. But, I ended up with wet boxes and blankets.

Valerie Barsanti even called us to let us know the truck we were going to rent and pickup at 12:00 had come back early if we needed it sooner . My family have used U Haul for 50+ years. That speaks for itself. For moving we are able to get the best supplies and equipment. From cargo vans to the largest truck, car trailers, Ubox and storage units. We have used them all and I am a 76 year old grandmother so I would say pretty easy to use also. As a retiree it is very affordable. Merci.

Guy let me stand outside with the door locked. He point at the drop off slot on the door and I told him I needed to speak with him about something. He held his finger up and said give me a few minutes after standing outside for almost 5 minutes I just left! Again very terrible and poor customer service.

The truck is in dire need of an upgrade. For the amount of money spent, the truck should have at least a few newer features such as electric windows, back up camera etc

The unit leaked at least twice that i know of, and i know the unit next to mine, 019, also leaked because i took a large mirror to the dump for the lady that was ruined from water leakage. I notified staff after i noticed the first leak but nothing was done to fix it. Leaks at a storage facility should not happen. And if there is one, it should be fixed. I'm just glad i got my stuff out and i am not paying for water damage any longer.

Make sure computer system is working accurately. Accept major (Master Card) DEBIT cards. The staff was extremely pleasant, but frustrated by the company computer system hiccups. Otherwise - equipment was perfect; a hassle-free experience.

This was the very best rental through you folks ever. The on line check in was easy and worked just fine. Only issue is the wait for the approval but I chatted through the on line site and they were able to get it approved very quickly after I asked "What was taking so long". Overall a 10.

I was warned upfront that when I returned the vehicle approx 5 1/2 hrs later by 5:15 that they were gone for the day and just put the vehicle back to the same location with 2/2 gas tank full under 100 miles estimated max and they will adjust my contract upon my return on Monday . They were great and Chris was very professional with me.

The length of the units are deceiving. 15 ft unit is not really 15ft. The measurements are taken to the roll-up door track. A 15ft unit is really like 12 feet, that's disappointing.

Marianne at Belcher knew right away the locker I booked was too small. She called Valerie at Starkey and rebooked us a larger unit. Saved us a lot of time and exertion. Valerie then arranged to checkout the truck there so I didn't have to drop it at a different location. Great people who treat you right!!

Valerie at the Starkey U-Haul was fabulous. Her customer service was above and beyond. However the fact that we were sent to 3 different locations to pick up our truck before we got ahold of Valerie was absolutely the worst customer service ever. We originally were scheduled to pick up at 8 AM at the Gooden location, then got a call to go to a Bellaire location while we were at Gooden. Then when we got to the Bellaire location found out it didn't open until 10am. Called corp to find out if keys were in the lock box, they weren't. We were then redirected to the Missouri location. I received a call from Valerie asking if we were still picking up the trailer. Explained the situation of being run from location to location. She said she had a truck that we needed as well as the trailer and switched everything to Starkey. So we left the 3rd location and went to Starkey. We feel that until Valerie took over that customer service was horrible and we should be compensated for all the hassle. Not to mention we had people scheduled to move us while we ran all over Largo and Clearwater trying to chase down the truck we had rented online.

My storage unit number 1219 had a terrible water leak. My mothers bedroom set dining room set, and Buffay were heavily water damaged, and had mold on them. My mattress and box springs were very wet and you could smell the mold very much. I had several plastic bins full of things that were covered in mold that I myself washed off several times. Some of my boxes got so wet that they literally were open. I have pictures of everything which I sent to the insurance company who reimbursed me for $3833. That only paid to have the bedroom set and buffet stripped and refinished. Also to buy a new mattress and box spring. I again had to wash the frame that was filthy, and had mold on it but I did keep it after cleaning it, also had about 10 pairs of shoes that were damp and had mold growing on them. Oh, and the boxes that got wet, some could not even be picked up without holding the bottom, or everything would have fell out. Most of the people who work there three in particular were extremely polite and helpful.( I had a very hard time opening the big door and would have to get help and they were very nice about that .) I moved my belongings in the storage unit in June and only a couple of times during July August, September, October did I ever go back to get something or put something else in and I never noticed water damage, however, it was all from the middle to the back so I probably wouldn't have noticed it if it was there then. I do know that three or four months ago we had a week of nothing but rain constantly and I do mean downpours all day and all night. I'm thinking that that very definitely could be when the damage took place however, I can't be positive of that. I do know that the times I was there you could not smell the mold and the day. I moved out February 7 of this year. It was a very distinct, heavy, mold smell in there. I'm just very sad that I had to leave my mothers old Duncan Phyfe table which can never be replaced. I just thought everything would be OK in there, I trusted that it was a safe place to keep my things, but it was not. I asked one lady working there if she notified the people on either side in case they had water damage and wouldn't know it and she said no they hadn't. I feel those people should be notified because if they do have water damage and mold, it's only getting worse every day and they may not know it if they don't go there often. I also during all my mold cleaning broke out in a rash that I had for two weeks. After all the mold was cleaned off of everything that it could be, my rash went away. I didn't have everything out by March 1 because I only took so much at a time to clean, as I did not want all of that setting in my house. So when March 1, which I thought I would have it all out and didn't but when March 1 came I only had a couple of things to get out. I told the lady I didn't think I should have to pay for a whole month and she said yes I would. I said you mean to tell me I have to pay you for a whole month to finish cleaning a couple of things that got ruined in your place? I said you should be paying me back since I paid you to have all my stuff ruined. So then she decided I wouldn't have to pay for March. I know I'm not thinking of everything but I'm sure you get the idea and can understand my disappointment. Thank you, Tara Mitchell.

The property manager was surprisingly extremely accommodating and helpful with every type of situation I came across for the duration of my term. But with as great as she was, there was definitely an underneath operation going on. Her son, who also lived on the property with her, is a heroin dealer. I know this for fact because my ex boyfriend, who was a recovering heroin addict, has bought drugs from him on more than one occasion. Honestly, I feel as if the property manager might also be taking some form of drug as well. My unit has had very obvious traces of being broken into or tampered with. My unit was also suppose to go to auction, which the manager gave a set date for when that would happen, but then stretched my window for when I could come move my stuff out (I paid the late fees instead of my past due balance so I could at least get into the unit and gather what's sentimental to me). When she gave me my final chance of retrieving my belongings she still used the excuse of this "approaching auction" (which had already happened) and that she needed to get the unit "ready". It all sounded like pure bull crap as if all she really was doing was taking whatever she could for herself. The fact alone that I had to practically pry out any information regarding alternative options to try to avoid losing my whole entire household of belongings as if she's used this method of manipulation with previous tenants to come up on people's prized possessions. Honestly. I would love to speak to corporate or anyone of higher status regarding this matter. It left me very upset even despite the little favors the property manager had given ( always with a slap in the face reminder that I don't even deserve the help she was given My email is fmerat.2022@gmail.com

I've always been pleased with the service and facilities at U-haul, but the day I emptied out my storage unit there were roaches and other bugs inside my stuff and all the boxes when I got everything home. Never had any issues with bugs until the last time being there to remove my items. I know the units are supposed to be pest controlled, but I had to wind up throwing a lot of my things away. As my family went through the loss of our home which lead to needing the storage unit, losing almost everything and having to start over from scratch, you can understand why having bugs in our heirlooms, wedding photos and keepsakes from our children was very difficult to cope with. I would still recommend this facility to friends and family, but it was just a disheartening way to leave the storage unit.

I make a reservation online for 2 hrs of service, the amount was $20.95. When I arrived two the store the gentleman saw my reservation, but ignored it making me a new one that cost me 71,95 for half an hour. I was supposed to return the van around 2:pm I return around 1 43. All they do for a living is scam other people to make millions in their packet which is so insane seriously.

Did not want the CDW as I was only moving items from storage unit C64 to 1074 approx. 200'. $18,00 is too much for a $19,95 rental which was All of 4 hours/ I have been a UHaul customer for over 29 years-both storage and rental trucks. I would appreciate a break. The manager is very professional and does a great job. She was off site when I picked up the vehicle.

dont' give out my name to a stranger, next time ask the stranger " who is she dropping the truck for? this was the manager email reply to me. she should have listen to my 1st phone call when i said " all i am doing is drop off the truck & pick up the coupon!" instead of making 2 more phone calls to me about her screw up : Sir your name was "not leaked" to anybody. The person with the storage reservation said they were returning a One Way truck but it was not in her name. We asked if it was Alan and she said yes. That was the extent of it. This is why we thought it was your reservation and caused such confusion. Your information was not leaked or given out, just the name Alan was spoken.

Water got in my storage unit and ruined my china cabinet and a book shelve. Now i have to call a claims number which is a huge hassel cuz they put me on hold say there is a thirty minute wait to speak to someone and i am very sick and dehydrated from the moving. I moved all my house hold in bug free& a year latter I move out, no bugs army not even a dead one was seen . Had multiple problem with debt card staff was so nice & understand ng love all the works . This is my second U-Haul rental in a two-week period. Both times I was informed the day I was to pick up the U-Haul, pack and get on the road, that the U-Haul I reserved weeks prior was not available. This create a frenzy to locate a trailer that was not convenient to my location. When located there was 1 employee working the store he was unaware of the change and unaware the online registration was completed. He was working the front desk and hooking up trailers outside which seems a bit much for one person.

Valerie the agent working the desk personally called me and let me know that I could not reserve the locker for more than two weeks so she let me know there was a one-month free promo and then I would be assured the storage locker I needed. She is wonderful I really appreciate her help and avoiding a frustrating situation not realizing that I had a 1-month free Opportunity by renting trailers one-way Valerie also inferred I could drop by trailers off after unloading at your site which was awesome she is making my move from the Midwest to Florida easier. This U-Haul facility is, without a doubt, superior to other storage facilities! The grounds and storage lockers are clean and well maintained. More importantly the staff is the most helpful I've ever experienced. They were knowledgeable and friendly and went out of their way to accommodate my needs and help me find the most economical transport and storage solutions. Don't doubt me on this! They're worth going out of your way to work with them.

Initial booking done by Katelynn. She is an outstanding employee & representative of your company. Unfortunately she was on vacation when I picked up the truck. I believe the person who helped me was Monica. Seemed like she just wanted to get me out of there. I had to go back in side &ask her to come back out & show me all of the operation of the dash features including proper use of emergency brake. Very unprofessional.

Experience was very good except for the time I was sent a notice stating I hadn't paid my bill when I DID. I did not appreciate the excuse that a computer issue sent out INCORRECT notices as they were basically threatening.

After our move out, we did notice a small amount of mold on a piece of furniture. This was not a climate controlled storage and a humid area so maybe mold is possible but we were surprised to find it.

In my u-haul storage they is a rat box was not full and I said number of time have it full . Because they was rat in the storage .....

Extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Been with you guys since 2002. Only leaving because of a possible move out of State. U-Haul have kept the units cleaner, brighter and safer than when it was Ark-Self Storage.

The service here is excellent. Its a great place to keep your things safe and dry if you prepare it correctly first, such as put things that might be prone to water damage ,on pallets off floor etc. I had my small fiat in storage with my things i it and all was great even after it had been stored for two years like this. And it had never been checked on. Thx U- Haul .

My only problem with the storage unit was that alot of my stuff was molded and had to be thrown away but other than that the staff is friendly and will work with you.

Way too dirty. My stuff was filthy. Bugs and geckos galore. I will NEVER STORE STUFF WITH U-HAUL AGAIN. UNREAL.

Staff extremely helpful when needed. Hours for non 24 hour access are very good. Gives you a lot of choice when to get into your storage unit. This is my second time using them.
