There was also not a single spot to park in and there was atleast 10 people in line. Both gentlemen were amazing to deal with though and were super kind and helpful!
Tamara DIt took three tries to get a trailer with working lights. Ended up with a smaller trailer than what I had wanted. Service guy was a trooper in trying to get the trailers to work. Eventually got the third one functional.

After being told I will not end up paying. Well it cost me $313 something for a unsafe truck that should NOT be on road.

There was only one staff member working and he was doing his best, but it was Saturday morning, of course everyone is moving at that time. It cut into our travel time and we couldn't push the reservation to bring back to uhaul at a later time had to rush everything because uhaul put us behind schedule

Dennis BThe tire blew up on the cube van and the wheel bearing broke. I had paid for extra safe trip insurance but still no one would come to service the truck. We were stranded in nowhere Quebec for 18 hours. Nobody ever came to help us. We ended up having to find a ride two hours back into Quebec to get another cube van. When we reached our destination in NS in the second cube van that we were given as a replacement in Quebec,it was obvious the wheel bearing was going on that vehicle too. Thankful that when the tire blew and the wheel bearing broke the vehicle pulled towards the ditch and not into traffic

Ted NHad a bad experience. Someone had tampered with the fuel tank and when we went to fuel up to drop the truck off $40 worth of gas spilled out were responsible for paying for gas we never got. I spent over $380 on the truck and then went to fuel up and was made to pay for $40. We never got.

Iqbal GWhen I picked up the 10 foot van all the ten foots vans where parked on a 45 degree angle to the fence facing Wilson St that I thought all I had to do was back up then go around ustore building to get back out to Taunton road but as I came around to the north west corner of the building the way to Taunton was blocked by the 26 foot U-Haul vans and the space between the 26 foot vans and the ustore building was to small to drive me 10 rental around the corner with out hitting the concrete block that was there . So I had to back the van back around the building to get turned around and off to Taunton Rd If my 10 foot rental had been back into its parking spot and not driven in like all the 10 foot van where it would have been a simple drive out and off your U-Haul lot with a lot less stress for me

Sondra ORented a 26FT truck. Make sure to check and add oil before your trip. Buy a funnel to add oil, or use your own because they will not pay for it. Buy oil ahead of time if it is a long trip. It used 5W-30. I used 2 liters for 1600km. The truck was low on oil when I got it. Check it yourself. I could have added another liter for sure but was returning the truck.

Darren FYour mileage charges are high. Other companies in the Durham region give you from 200-500km included. Yes you pay a bit more for the vehicle but it works out cheaper in the end . I rented from advantage and the cost was $200 with 500km. The cost with U-Haul would have been over $500.

Victoria MYour place of business is very cluttered and your trailer size is misleading as your gate opening is not to size with the true dimensions of the trailer which created an unsuccessful pickup as we needed the full width of the trailer to be able to load so because the trailer has corners that extend into the bed of the trailer which we didnt realize at the time of pickup we noticed after pickup an hour later that we couldnt use it and had to drive it back over an hour away by then its been over 3 hours since we picked it up and had to return the unused trailer and pay for it plus additional expenses to have my item delivered. Addressed with staff they knew the trailer had changed to this Floorplan but didn't advise that at the time of pickup as I would have done something differently or cancelled/or changed my reservation to something that would work.
Lynda OI drove many km out of my way to drop off and got the run around from the drop off at the Esso that had no fuel. And the pick-up was much farther than expected. Then I get fined for extra fuel $35. At the end from the drop off at an Esso that has no fuel.

ABU BTrailer was old, weather, terribly noisy when pulling down a bumpy road. No tie down rings in the front of the trailer(broken), sole purpose of rental was motorcycle transportation. Took very an hour to determine a way to secure a motorcycle without attachment points.
Shawn LOnly suggestions: Advise people or make more visible in the instructions to check in and disarm the alarm in the email the instructions. And bring something to cut the zip tie off the locker.

Luckily I brought my lock from my other storage unit so it worked out nicely. Would have been a huge pain if I didn't bring my lock. When returning the truck we almost dropped the keys in the key drop without reading the notice above the key drop, asking us to take pictures of the truck. There was no light on this area so we almost missed this VERY important/required step of the truck return process (this was about 11PM, so very dark). Please install a light so we can see this signage before keys are accidentally dropped.

I also called the Ajax location prior to, as that one was closer to me, but they confirmed they aren't running this promotion so I booked with this location instead. When I showed up at the counter to check-in I was declined the one month free and was told to pay the first month immediately. I had no choice as I was paying movers by the hour and we had already showed up at the location! So I paid but I will be putting in a complaint with head office and the better business bureau. Also, upon moving into the storage facility, I witnessed another storage unit owner going through their unit and laughing as a mouse ran out of one of the boxes. The storage unit was packed with junk so it comes as no surprise it would be harbouring rodents! The staff and condition of this uhaul storage facility are one in the same - below average!

Brendon the staff at Oshawa location was not helpful but extremely rude. Even after having reserved a 10x15 storage at Oshawa location two weeks in advance of Apr 16, 2020, the Oshawa location did not have a unit. I had to go back and forth 1,5 hours due to Brandons incompetency. Furthermore, he insulted us in front of the other customers and kicked us out of the store. I will be escalating this to the top of Uhaul and cbc news channel. Additionally, this is the last time I'm doing business with Uhaul. I'll be also advising friends and family to not conduct business with any Uhaul location. Myself as a valued customer expects to be treated with respect but this was not the case especially at a time like this during the covid-19.
