I only use the truck for about 3 hours tops. I've noticed that there is equipment on the truck that doesn't work. The day that I was using the truck the air conditioning didn't work at all. I also brought the truck back with a full tank of gas but I left with 7/8 of a tank I actually put more fuel in that was needed but I asked if I could get a bit of a discount even though I didn't have air conditioning and I overfilled the tank which at that point I was told no. I think what was upsetting most of all was I drove less than a hundred miles to be honest with you I actually drove less than 50 miles only used the truck for three out of the 5 hours that I rented it for brought the truck back on a full tank of fuel when not needed and asked if I could get a discount on my account even though the truck didn't have air conditioning and I was giving a song and dance. To be honest with you I'm very disappointed

Incorrect recording of fuel. On pick up my contract said there was 5/16 of fuel in the tank. Actual truck reading was 1/4. I did. Not go back in the store to have them correct it. My mistake.

roll up tailgate needs some work. It gets stuck. Requires more strength than it should to operate.

That was a great experience. The staff helped ensure the trailer was hooked up properly and did the safety check. Very friendly. Can't complain about anything. Gret job, will use you again!

I couldn't even access code to get into the storage unit to unload my truck, it's still have my items on it, and I have to wait until the morning

I chose to rent using U-Haul 24/7 online pickup. U-Haul indicated this store had a truck available. Arrived at 8:30 am to pick up the truck only to be told, after waiting on hold for 25 minutes with U-Haul Customer service line that there were no trucks available to be picked up via the 24/7 mobile pickup. I had to wait until the store opened at 9:00, and then was told that the store didn't make any trucks available for the 24/7 pickup. Fortunately I was just doing local moving.

Gave us the uhaul on an empty tank knowing our move location was 40 min away but kept the original price for the truck. Also charged me for a dolly that wasn't in the truck when we got it

The trailer was in great shape, and was just what I needed to move what I had. The packing blankets were clean and in good condition. However, it was disappointing that 2 U-haul locations in Peoria didn't have any packing paper in stock. How can a company that specializes in moving equipment be out of packing paper?

I originally requested the rental at a different location (Farmington Rd location). When I arrived to pick up the trailer, they did not have it, and had to call someone to find out where I needed to go. I did not get any communication on the change of location. I wasted a lot of time running around before I could get the trailer I reserved. Communication of a location change should have been sent to me.

The clerk who helped me really knew his stuff. I don't remember his name but it's a white guy, tattoos and he called me "Boss." Very helpful and friendly. Will definitely use this UHaul in the future. Give that guy a raise!

The gal at the front desk was extremely rude, I honestly about walked out. She made me feel like I was bothering her, she was mumbling and not speaking clear and acted annoyed that I was even there. At one point she handed me a phone to take my picture and she had a death grip on it like I was gonna run away with it, I was trying to turn it and get the picture she wanted but she kept death gripping it sideways. Not a thank you nothing didn't even tell me where to go to get my rental I had to ask. Even though this facility is a few miles from my home I will not go back because no one should have to deal with this poor of service.

The location staff was helpful. The online processes were horrible. The app kept failing, and at the last minute they wanted 2 additional contacts or a passport, or a lease document. If that was going to be needed they should make that very clear when making the reservation as my contact wasn't available, my work office was closed for the weekend, I didn't have my passport with me. When I said to cancel the reservation they ended up approving. Nothing wrong with this location but the process to pickup a van took 30 minutes. I only used the van for about an hour. I spent almost as much time checking out and returning it as using it.

I wasn't told that the storage closes at 10 so my access was denied and now I have to pay 10$ more for 24 hour access that's fine I just wasn't aware of it so I had to wait a while for after hour person which made my return of my truck late

The staff was fantastic, and so helpful! The front office was clean as were the restrooms. However, when we opened the unit, there was broken glass on the floor. Thankfully we had a broom and dustpan in the trailer, so it wasn't tracked in with my belongings.

Our unit was half filled with someone else’s belongings

I originally chose a smaller storage unit but decided to upgrade to a larger one. The staff took care of this quickly. However, once I entered the storage unit, I saw leftover items from the previous renter. I did call the office to let them know that I'd pulled out all the leftover items. When I returned later that day to begin storing my items, the previous tenant's items were still outside the storage unit. Otherwise, this was a quick and easy experience. Merci.

For some reason, this company kept on emailing me even though I contacted them stating that the email had on file was not the correct email for the person renting their unit. I have never been to Illinois, and they refused to update it to the actual person renting it. Completely unprofessional. I feel bad for the person who was actually renting the unit, who probably never got a single notification.

Anthony and his staff were professional, friendly and a source of assistance whenever we came to access our unit or to reserve a vehicle. It was personal and a well organized office. We will continue to seek services there for any moving needs we have. We moved our storage unit because we changed residence. It's much more convenient. We enjoyed our experience with the University U-Haul facility and look forward to using them again. Anthony and his team were true friends.

Thank you, it was the perfect storage unit-I wound up not moving. Shawna was your #1 employee. TJ went above & beyond showing me where & how to use the keypad when the gate was suddenly closed one day. Some of the male employees need more training in customer service & to be taught to not be so lazy (only a few of them).

The employee that not quite helped me was very unpleasant to deal with. Overall a very unpleasant initial experience dealing with that particular individual. Everyone else was great though so I was just unlucky I guess. My second visit was what should be expected however. Management was pleasant helpful and very professional so good job to that guy. The first guy really sucked though, he needs to work on it all or find something else to do.

I lost the key to my unit and explained that I haven't even used the storage unit. I asked them to just cut the lock and bill me for the month I had used it. The manager refused and started cussing at me. Telling me that he will continue to bill be until I find my key and get my stuff out. They now say I owe them $1500 in fees. WORST PLACE EVER!

Very bad experiences poor customer service skills do not communicate with you when you are communicating with them calling don't answer emails they actually do not find it OK when you close out and do not want storage they continue to harass and charge you for things that you do not want they are very very bad when you speak to them they speak down to you they do not communicate with you asked for a conversation they are very poor services I actually did not want the service anymore they have received a payment and was told to destroy Or remove items that was there They were no longer wanted to be thrown in the garbage and instead of doing so they decided to keep charging me so that they could still money from my account

Facility needs more staff went there one day there was 1 person on their busiest day of the week how do we considerable amount of time just to ask a question. Later in the day when the rush was over they had multiple people there working. Whenever I called I had to wait on hold extensive amount of time.. Staff was nice and courteous.

It wasn't explained that I had to take pitchers of the unit and go on line and dhow I was out of my unit. I then received an email telling me I needed to pay my rent Which I emailed back that I gave been out of my unit and turned in my key since September 23 as I knew the rent was due on the 24th, and I knew I could get a unit where my other things are for $40 vs $114. My unit for the $40 is a 5x10. So there was no way I was paying $114 for that tiny unit. I then got treating email to be assessed late fees on top of rent. Earlier I apparently went over on my miles was told when I returned the truck that I was good to go. Then I see where you took $40 extra besided the $31 I owed out of my checking account without notice, as I checked my emails at the time I seen you took the money out and there was none. I called and the manager said the would have it turned which it was about 10 business days later and after my automatic payments bounced due to the extra $40 that caused bounced check fees of $20 2x's and bounce check fees on my automatic payments. So taking this extra $40 ending up costing me an extra $80. So no I will only use you if I have to and nor recommend you to anyone.

I called the day before and the man said he would reserve a van for me and call me back. He never called me back nor make the reservation for the van. Luckly they had one the next day. I also feel as if your storage is really high after the free 30 days I already rent a full storage unit over twice as big for $40 a month however they had no units available at this time hoping they do at the end of the 30 days or my divorce is final

The reason why I said average cause the manager were very very rude, don't know how to communicate, very smart mouth, every body that's go get a uhaul or storage from there, he slow and very rude, the line be very long cause he very very slow, next time I will be taking my business else where, he still charge me for the unit, but I moved my stuff out feb 4, 2020, didn't take the lock off and I came in to talk to him about it, he was rude to me in front of customers and I was embarrassed about the situation cause their were other people around, thank you

The only thing I was very upset with was when my girlfriend and I called the call center, we were told one thing and the prices were cheaper than what was posted when we went to purchase the storage unit. We were told there was a 7x5 storage locker and it was air controlled. We were quoted 75.00. When I got there the other uhaul facility was a mile away and with the coronavirus I did not want to be going everywhere. I purchased a 12x5 unit. For 109 a month. This part I was very upset because we were given different info. The employees at the uhaul were very professional and nice. I would like a response as I am very angry about the inconsistent pricing and info. Your call center gives out verses the actual information that is given out.
