The guy who reserved the appliance dolly didn't know what it was and reserved the wrong thing. The guy who checked me out fixed it and was good at his job. The lady to whom I returned the dolly was impatient and unkind.

I was charged a $60 deposit for simply using my credit card for payment. This was absurd. When I dropped off the trailer, I was told the deposit credit could not be placed back onto my card, instead a check would have to mailed to me and would take 2 weeks. The drop-off location employee documented my home address wrong, so I had call and correct his mistake. This policy is unacceptable and ridiculous.

The entire process from renting a storage to booking a 10' truck online was a breeze and everyone who works at the location was great and easy to deal with. Good people work there! Everything kept clean and organized well. Very happy.

I have been to 5 uhual's in Idaho since I moved here from Oregon this is without a doubt the best one in the country. I have used them in Oregon, California and now Idaho. Call these guys first

When we rented our uhaul it was covered in a lot of snow, we had to take a half hour of our time cleaning all the snow and ice off the windshield and then the top of it as it was sliding off in traffic, then to top it off it was parked in so much snow it got stuck in the parking lot trying to get it out, I would not recommend this location to anyone, I think we deserve a partial refund.

I loved that my unit was indoors and easy access. I liked that the temp was comfortable so if I needed to go through my items I didn't freeze or get over heated. Very nice facility and easy access.

Couldn't get into the building. How to enter instructions were not clear. Another family was also trying to get in and working together we were not able to figure it out. Also I'm pretty sure the display on the key pad by the door is broken.

I'm disabled, I was hoping the unit would be closer to the offload door. It was on the other side of the building maybe in the future they could keep ones closer to the offloading door for disabled people overall, the experience was great. The workers were awesome. Thanks, Kevin.

Great service getting us setup with a trailer, had to replace fuses. Only thing we could have used a reminder about proper weight loading with heavy stuff up front. Will probably remember next time because of the trailer sway at 55 mph.

I love the Storage element of this. Renting the truck was a nightmare. I ordered a truck from a U-Haul location close to my house, they then emailed and told me I needed to pick it up in a different city. I was supposed to drop it off at the storage facility- where I unloaded it - and they sent me a text saying I had to drop it off at a different place.

This has been my best storage experience, in every way. The people are professional and friendly. The entire property is kept neat and clean. I am disabled, so they were sure to give me a unit very close to the door. And I love the unloading/loading bays. So convenient to be able to pull inside the garage, close the door, grab a cart they provide, and go about my business out of the weather. I would 100 % refer everyone to use AMMON U=HAUL ON 17TH ST for all your storage needs.

The man at the desk was incredibly helpful, polite, and pleasant. It was the nicest customer service (and human) interaction I've had in a very long time! I am terrible with names and I feel so bad about it but maybe it was Russel?

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I needed a unit very close to the door, as I have breathing issues and cannot move things far. They gave a unit inside, right near the door. They also provide several carts that will carry boxes, mattresses, or any large items right from my car to my unit, all while being enclosed in the drive in loading bay. I never have to deal with the weather conditions. The site itself is well maintained, and security cameras are everywhere. The keypad codes are great. If someone comes in and opens any door that isn't connected to the code, alarms go off and in just a minute or two, security is there. II WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND USING AMMON UHAUL STORAGE FACILITY.

The personnel at his location have the personality of a wet toilet seat. There is an overweight male with redish brown hair and a beard that is completely useless as an employee. Almost to lazy to breath. I rented a truck and returned it right before quitting time and he wouldn't check it in. I guess to close to quitting time. Also, when I picked it up the truck was not in the staging area and he wouldn't go find the truck. I found it way up by the main road being used as a billboard. Sorry, but Penske has you beat in everyway. I will go with them in the future.

The men here was quick and thorough, which was really nice after a 10 hour drive. I did let them know about the oil/fuel in the back of the truck, so that they could have it clean for the next person.

The staff is friendly and the location is clean and well maintained. I've used this location many times and been impressed. The last truck I rented was not full of gas even though it was listed as such. Unfortunately I didn't notice till I had left. So I had to spend more to fill it upon return.

The entire staff at the Amman, ID, U-haul facility (I highlight Brianna in particular) were extremely personable and helpful. They provided me with the best possible storage units available, explained their procedures thoroughly and clearly, and were quick to offer positive suggestions when my circumstances changed. I won't hesitate to recommend not only the storage options U-haul provides, but to strongly suggest any friend or family member buy the high quality products on offer.

I rented a storage unit online late at night. I assume the unit was ready, but I ended up not needing it after all. I called and spoke to Russell and explained that we never even opened the unit. He was able to cancel/move out of the unit with ease. He asked if we had paid anything that would need to be returned to us, but due to renting a U-Haul truck, the first month was free anyway. All in all, 10 out of 10 stars! I recommend this location to everyone needed a truck.or storage.

This location is just the best! The employees are friendly and helpful. The facilities are always super clean. I can't even think of anything that could it better except maybe better temperature regulation on the indoor units. 24 hour access without a fee would be nice with the many different work schedules that customers could have. Maybe even a vending machine or two especially for moving in customers who could be there for many hours.

We had originally asked for another location. They would not open untill Monday and we would have no help to unload. We went on line and was able to get two units at this location. We tried to get permission to drop the trailer at the 17th Street site, but it said we had to take it to the closed Lincoln Road location by 6:30 PM on Sunday. The Lincoln Road location was horrible to try to leave a trailer at because there were only two car parking spaces. The asphalt, on the narrow drive, is caving away into a rock filled ditch making it very difficult to turn the vehicle and drop the trailer.

There was too much cosmetic damage to be able to record accurately. If you're going to require us to take a picture, instead of approving a previous picture, there should be a list of previous incidents that we check as we do the pictures and inspection. That way the picture just shows the rental as a whole unit and the checklists for each area requiring a picture are the details and approval/ability to add more/disputes within the beginning.

I reserved a truck 1,5 miles from the airport. Uhaul truck had to be picked up on the other side of town. A $50 uber ride. Had I known this I would have rented from Avis

TL;DR Ask questions, be careful of Kryslyn. Ask for Mikayla, she rocks! Give her a raise!!! I initially came into the store in Ammon, ID on 2/6/23 with some general questions about our U-Boxes and getting a storage unit. I was told they had been delivered, but decided to hold off on getting a storage unit right then. Fast forward a week. My wife and I came in to get a storage unit and were assisted by Kryslyn. She seemed to be deep in thought looking at her computer screen trying to figure stuff out for us. After looking things over for a bit, she informed us that there was no option for a single 10x15 unit available but could do 2 separate units (a 5x10 and a 10x10) right next to each other. This was not an ideal solution, but seeing as this was the only option, we decided it would work. Kryslyn only charged us for only one disc lock even though we were getting two different units so that was nice! Then Kryslyn seemingly couldn't confirm our U-Boxes had been delivered to the facility, when 2 managers earlier confirmed they had been delivered. This was slightly disconcerting, but I recognize information doesn't always get relayed to everyone. To our delight Kryslyn wanted to personally put her eyes on the U-Boxes to confirm they were on-site! My wife and I wanted to come the following morning to start unloading the U-Boxes into our 2 units. Kryslyn said she'd call us if she could not find the U-Boxes, but not if they were in fact there at the facility. We asked Kryslyn to please call us no matter the result of her search for our own piece of mind. This seemingly wasn't something Kryslyn was too keen on as she rolled her eyes at my request! My perception was that Kryslyn couldn't be bothered to make a phone call to inform us that we would be all set for the following day. This really did not sit well with myself or my wife, but we got taken care of mostly, so who are we to really complain? We had not received a phone call by about 5:30pm that day so I decided to call the store and try and confirm things. I was never able to get the store on the phone; instead getting transferred to a call center. I finally gave up after getting rerouted to the call center 2 different times. Instead I would call in the morning bright and early when they opened at 7am. Once again, no store, only call center, TWICE! I decided to go to the store personally and try and see what was going on. I was greeted by Mikayla I had previously met at the store! It was during this visit she informed me she was the Assistant Manager! Mikayla promptly started digging into things. Mikayla was rightly surprised to see that we were sold the two different units when there was plenty of options available for a single 10x15 unit; also much closer to where the U-Boxes would be unloaded! Mikayla said it would be quick and easy to transfer. Mikayla then gave me the new contract to look over when she discovered I had paid for my first month (as one would expect!) when there was actually a promotion currently going for a free month. Mikayla promptly refunded my card for the free month. She waited for another employee to arrive then personally confirmed our U-Boxes being on site and called me personally to inform me as such. She deserves a raise!!! Thank you for your wonderful assistance Mikayla!!!

The Ammon U-Haul was awesome and the facility was very nice. I was asked to turn in my truck early on Sunday, which wasn't a problem. UNTIL we went to the Grand Teton Storage and they were closed. I wasn't given any info on where to park the truck. So…I called the Ammon U-Haul and explained to Nancy that maybe she could help. She apologized and said that she has never been there. She said that she would message them. At this moment I was hitting a wall due to driving 16 hours the day before, unloading some stuff at my new home and the rest to the storage unit. There were signs posted so I started to get on-line and go thru the return procedure. It had been snowing and I couldn't really see anywhere to park so I parked the truck by the exit gate on the side. While this is all taking place there was a women looking out of her window next to the office that had a closed sign on. She let her dogs out and looked at me but never said a word. The door said Private so I didn't want to bother her and she wasn't very approachable either. She saw the U-Haul truck going around and then stopped in front of her door but didn't say anything. While I was filing out the return on my phone in my car, she open her front door and wanted to know "What I was doing?" I explained I was told to drop off at this location and there is non signage of where to park a return truck??? She said to park it on the street so that's what I did. She was not friendly at all! My experience from Arizona pick up and then storage drop off was great but the other location drop off was not pleasant. I was doing U-Haul a favor by turning it in early without any compensation offered and then it have it end like this.

I rented the unit on Friday and went to rent the truck on Saturday and was told that I could get a month free storage. When we went to your location to buy $134 worth of boxes, I asked the guy working there if I could still get the free month, but he said I was too late. Wish I have known about the offer when reserving the unit...I knew I needed the truck and boxes from you. It was just disappointing.

My experience was quite good and no significant complaints. There was an initial issue getting the right code assigned to me to disarm my alarm, which was a little annoying, but it was resolved quickly. The door nearest my unit was often not working which was also a little annoying. Overall, it was kept very clean and the facility was nice. Definitely were some rats/mice though.

I was shocked to be charged a $21 fuel surcharge on my rental, after driving a total of seven miles. The fuel gauge was at the exact same position when I picked up and returned the rental.

The staff member who helped me wasn't very helpful or clear on where to gain access to indoor storage. When I came in the afternoon to start putting my property in the unit, there was only one person working to cover all aspects of service. I had to hunt him down to get help in knowing how to access the building. When I got to my unit, there was a lock on it. I had to contact the staff member to have him remove the lock. Finally, there wasn't a lock for me when the unit was opened, so I had to ask for one.

The staff at the U-Haul was very knowledgeable and great at explaining all available services. The facility was well lit and secured. The drive in port at the Ammon location was very appreciated as it was rainy and cold. The carts provided to carry boxes and storage bins to the desired unit was very helpful. I personally felt the cost was well worth the services provided and everything was organized and clean. I would go back next time I need to store some items.

The staff is made of teenage kids. I've had this storage unit for almost a year and everytime I've tried to call to make a payment they put me on hold for over 20 minutes. Then eventually it goes to voicemail, the voicemail says their closed, Hours before their online hours tell you. So if that happens on the day your payment is due it means you get a late charge... not $5 not 10 % but a whooping $25. All because those kids refuse to answer the phone. So if you don't physically plan on walking into the building to pay your bill every month, expect a late fee charge. But even if you do, expect a bunch of kids who are just flirting with each other and treat you like your annoying them. Then if you call the cooperate office they just tell you to pay the bill online... Good luck figuring that out. In order to make an online account you need your account number, which if you don't keep your original rental agreement, then noone else apparently knows how to find it... Don't even try asking the teenagers, they have no clue. But yes it's clean and it appears to have plenty of cameras and anti-theft options. But it's your stuff and if you don't have the time to go in to the building every month to pay, or can't get someone to figure out how to sign you up for an online account. Then expect to overpay... ALOT!

The customer service getting started was some of the best I've ever had. So friendly and informative. The facility is nice and the carts there helped us a lot. We are very happy with our experience!

I called this facility over a week in advance of our move. Yet when my son arrived with the truck, the office staff had no such reservation. This problem after the hours it took to solve a flat tire put my son way behind for the day. Not my best experience with Uhaul. Office staff worked out an acceptable arrangement.

Straight forward process for renting storage and the uhaul.

The security keypads were confusing at first. Having to enter the security code on two different keypads is a bit inconvenient. If this is something that has to be done, the same setup that is on the outside also needs to be in the bay area. I do like that you guys have carts to help move stuff around and that you provide a bathroom.

It took 3 hours just get checked into the storage unit, causing my uhaul track to have to be checked out another day. The extra day was reimbursed, but not the extra miles it caused me to have to drive. Since it took so long to check in I had to come back the next day to check in. When I came back the next day, they did not even show me how to check in and out each time I need to enter the unit.

Great people to work with very helpful and friendly each time I was into the office. The indoor storage unit was easy to get our large items in and always clean. I would definitely recommend and if I ever need a storage unit again I'll definitely be back!

The unit was clean but there was a lock on the unit so I could not get in and there was not a lock inside was described. I had to go into the office and get an employee to open the unit and give me a lock. I didn't mind but it would have been nice if this was communicated so as to be expected. Also the process for using the code was not explained until I talked with the employee.

The staff there exspecialy Haley Johnson why tried to say my check bounced put a lock on my door for over a month when I had to get the lady from st. Vincent DePaul to show proof the check was cashed the next day. The older workers are rude the younger ones are very helpfull

The manager was rude and quite nosey, some better customer service skills are definitely needed. Many times when I needed assistance, there was no employee present at the front desk, or anywhere in sight. The wait time for them to show up was ridiculous. Wouldn't recommend renting a unit from the Idaho falls store, on 17th Street.
