The manager was very helpful and knowledgable. He provided me with a much better experience than the call center people, and was also very kind. We were there Monday and Tuesday, I hope he is able to gain recognition for his outstanding customer service!
LISA GStaff was friendly and helpful, and easily accommodated our request for a larger unit when we arrived. Turn-in and checkout were both a breeze, and our storage unit felt very secure. The facility is very tight and sloped, however, and the climate-controlled storage is only accessible via a 48 inch high loading dock or stairs, which makes moving heavy objects and motorcycles into it extremely difficult.

RYAN HVan that I requested wasn't available. Was given Van that was practically empty on fuel and promised a discount. Discount was only ~$18. I told customer rep that the nearest drop off in Fresno where we were moving to was on Shaw and Blackstone. Even called your 800 number and talked to Deborah and told her Blackstone was closest for us and that my family member is disabled and I'm not in the best of health to be driving everywhere. Deborah promised extra miles and an extra day; I was charged for extra two days when I got lost and charged extra miles. Falsifying promises and agreements. This has caused me undue stress and pain; if this isn't resolved and charges aren't taken off I will be calling my lawyer.

GAYLE UMy wife dropped off the trailer and was informed by an employee that the trailer would be promptly scanned to close the transaction. The following day I received a call from U-haul asking for the trailer. Some phone calls were made and an employee at the Barstow U-haul eventually closed the transaction.
Travis CU-Haul was going to send us to a 5th location until they called and found out they would not be there but out to lunch. So they kindly let us return the trailer at their location

I have had the same noise in a couple of Ford trucks and recognized it to be a radius arm bushing making the noise. I brought it to the attention of the gentleman that waited on me. He said that it had been to a local repair shop and that they didn't have the tools to fix it. He said that it would be going to another shop for repairs.

ALISA M | Premières impressionsThe storage was inconvenient as everytime I would go to grab something from storage the doors would lock and the front desk would not answer to open the storage doors and I would have to go to the office and wait in line or find someone who works there to open up the locked door to access my storage I get they get busy but if the u it is open from a certain time those doors should be unlocked once the employee arrives not that they forgot or didn't have time to open that is u fortunate to the paying customer that is why I removed my stuff from storage as it was becoming an inconvienance and this happened everytime except once when I went to my unit. I also removed my stuff from storage early I should be reimbursed for the days not used but was told that they donot do that. It is a inconvienance when your policy is not followed that storage units are open from a certain time but the employees donot unlock the units during that time and wait for customers to come and ask to open them.
Stacy S | Expérience généraleI really am grateful for the free storage that came with the rental the only problem was this storage location only had 8x9 and I had a 26ft truck so I had to rent a storage at a different location that accommodated my needs. I still did end up storing part of my things at this location in the end but it was very hard to access it was an inside storage. Merci.

My only way home after dropping off the truck was a mobility scooter that was flat on one front tire. I asked if I can get some air since the air compressor was only 2 feet away from him and I, he said no because they were not licensed to do so. I had to ride it till my tire shred, I had to walk almost 2 miles pushing the scooter since all gas stations were the opposite way. If you ask me customer service and customer safety should be a priority.

Management should Not rent out unit #149, because on windy days, and during wind storms, lots of dust & sand gets into unit #149 & dirties up boxes, furniture & other items inside the storage unit, regardless that the door is shut…The staff were professional & helpful.

My grandmother drove down there and looked at my stuff. The only thing they did was call me about it a days later after my grandmother had already gotten ahold of me. And offer me a different lock for the door. Which wasn't anymore helpful than the last. I didn't get any compensation for any of my damaged items or stolen items.

It was locked when I arrived so my entire move was set back a day which created many problems for my family because of the strict schedule we were on. I don't mind having to speak to the representative or doing paperwork but I would like to be advised that there's a long process before I get my unit. The website states the unit would be ready for immediate move in.

However, being a multi million dollar company I'd expect more secure camera systems in the indoor storage units, every corner is accounted outside and well watched by the cameras but no cameras inside the indoor cooling unit storages are accounted, which makes it easier for thieves to crack down in every room and to get away with everything from the inside. (My uhaul was broken into and not a trace was found.) Overall I liked my experience with Barstow uhaul, just wish they would update and add more cameras where there are no blinds spots and to where it's necessary. Especially inside of the indoor cooling unit!

Me and My son did it ! I. Got all my furniture moved nothing was broken or loss. You guys are a little pricey but it was worth using your services. Thanks…

I work crazy hours and usually have to visit my storage after hours. I couldn't help but feel like they were trying to punish me. Because one incident when I reserved a truck I was late picking it up and have way through the check out process. The manager rushed in and help the people behind me and gave them my 15 footer. And told me because I was late it wasn't a hold on it. So because he was faster checking people out he felt it was ok to give my truck away. So naturally I called bull s..t and left. But it ended up costing me an extra $300 with out a reservation. I will recommend Moreno Valley U Haul and Las Vegas. I've felt with them for decades. But never again in Barstow CA .

He said he would contact the other units to see if he could check where the smell was coming from but nothing ever happened. He did offer to move me to a different unit but I found that very inconvenient because the things I had there were very heavy and I had no help to move again.
