I'm not sure how I put a claim in but I had insurance on my stuff , but my couches have mildew all over them and a lot of my stuff has been infested with mice. I did not store any food just clothing and furniture.

My unit roof started caving in and leaked and caused a lot of damage to my property and I am getting a run around to get insurance at UHAUL to cover it. You are asking for original receipts for my property. I don't think one box of my paper work is any good and is filled with mildew which I cannot touch because I am allergic. My daughter tried going though it and got sick. Nothing I saw is readable anyway. I have no receipts for it now if they were in there. Many boxes of stuff had to be thrown away that we didn't even take pictures of because it was reasonable to replace like towels and wash cloths, clothing, shoes ect. So not coving what we ask for is awful.

The facility I was at .. the security gate was broken for months. So there was no security. I actually moved out on May 3 and did my move out on the app. The following day I dropped off my gate key. I still received 2 nasty late payment letters and a phone call even though I have moved out according to their instructions.

Had mouse dropping all over my things, mostly my bed and box spring.. tried to contact manger, been almost a week and heard nothing back.. did a claim through u-haul insurance and not once did anyone apologize for what happened.. just wanted to know the cost value and had to have pictures of everything. When you are moving everything in one day and having that kind of stress of opening your unit to that it was awful. Just would have like some kind of acknowledgment of their wrong doing. Do not recommend at all.

Utilized a storage unit for 2 months. Convenient location and well lit. Hours of operation made moving in and out convenient with the 24 hour access. Upon move out, all of my belongings were covered in mouse feces and urine. Furniture and boxes filled. I moved out before my required move out date which included turning in all of my equipment. The associate working took all the equipment and said someone will confirm the unit is clean that day then close my account. That never happened but the associate who reached out was able to clear everything up with no hassle.

The room was filthy, including bloodstains from a deceased animal. Although I was paying for a secure facility with a remote controlled access gate, it remained stuck open the entire length of my rental, even though I was told when reserving that it'd be fixed soon. Ton of extra work for me, moving my stuff out after two months, but won't stay here. Besides this, the staff is very helpful; obviously understaffed at this location.

I rented last summer and was told there would be a working security gate - the gate has been propped open now for months, and I have reported it several times. I often would see cars just driving in and out, or parked there that had no business being in there - it was troubling. No one followed up or explained why the spaces were no longer secured with the gate. Merci.

The only issue that I had was that it was very difficult to reach anyone onsite by phone. It is important to me to close the loop but in this case could never reach anyone by phone. This lead to confusion and delays in getting me officially moved out. When I was able to speak to someone they were kind and professional. They took care of everything right away. Merci

You took $89,95 for a month and the storage unit was cleaned on the 2 nd not due till 13??????? Dead mice , live mice Noone ever told me back in July my things could or would be destroyed by varmints!!! Not fair You got $890 and I got mice , droppings and destroyed important things #329 unit no. We live on SSDI it was a rough cut in our money !!! 

It wasn't until I went to the facility to complete the paperwork that I was told I would have to present the contact information of a third party other than my spouse. It would have been helpful to know up-front that this information is required to rent one of your storage units. I never give out anyone's personal information without their consent, so it delayed the reservation process as I had to contact my third party to get their permission.

I rented the unit from out of town and was surprised to find no staff on site at 91 Gurnet Road when I arrived to start the rental. Eventually I figured out that I had to go to 1 Cressy Road to find the main office. It would be nice if there were a sign at 91 Gurnet Road making the relationship unavoidably clear to someone in my circumstances.

My rating would have been excellent, but I showed up at the site and nobody was there. I did not see a sign clearly indicating that the site was managed at another location, so it took some guesswork to figure that out. Once I did though, the service was excellent.

I upgraded the same day over the phone but went to the facility and was told there was not a unit available and they'd call me that afternoon. Nobody called. I called the next day and was told a message was sent out for the manager to call me back. Never got a call back. So I had to drive to the facility to see if there's a unit available. A unit was available but it is inside a facility when I have been saying from the start I need to drive right up to a door because of my serious back issues. They said it wouldn't be a problem because there are carts available. But when I got there the carts were very small and there's a picture on the wall showing a woman using the cart to move small boxes. I said I needed to move FURNITURE, including a large couch. None of my furniture will fit on these dinky carts! When I was walking down the hall an alarm went off blasting my ears. This whole experience has been horrible. I expected a heck of a lot more from a company as big as Uhaul.

The facility was perfect for storage while waiting for an Apartment to be available at Cooks Corner. The on line check out process didn't go as smoothly as expected, and I had to call to find out why my move out hadn't been confirmed for many days.

Storage unit I had needed some TLC - but I understand they addressed the issues after I moved out (insulation falling from ceiling, doors sticking). Unit was not super-tight so we did have some dust and pollen getting in. Otherwise, price is excellent and facility is easy to get to and secure!

The facility is very well kept . I stored there continuously for several years . The big complaint was that until a recent move out I'd had EXTREMELY difficult time contacting the staff at the facility. I'd call during normal hours, the call would be forwarded to a distant center, a message requesting a call back left with agent at that center with NO Results, no call back from facility. With the recent move out direct communication with the facility communication was excellent . Merci.

I had reserved a 10x10 unit for the first of May but somehow my reservation got lost with the update. I ended up with only a 5 x 15 unit which isn't really big enough. Then on top of that I was promised a lock to be in the unit when I arrived d/t paying when I reserved and it wasn't there. I still haven't recievd it.

The people at u haul where nice till the day we went to get the truck to move my stuff to where i am now the stuff was kinda rude but they seemed to have changed their look on things when we told them we hurd everything they said about us on the walkie talkie

After driving 5 hours my code to enter was not working, and when I got to the 10x10x15 unit it was 2/5x10x15. u-haul did not have another unit for me to rent. so at 5:00 pm I had to scramble to find another storage facility in town. thanks to all American storage in Brunswick Maine, who had a real human being working on site, who was exceptionally nice and accommodating I was able to store my Vehicle!

We arrived in the town two hours ahead of anticipated time. The truck was there, and U-Haul let us pick it up. That also allowed two more daylight hours to make the 5 hour drive.

I reserved a 10x40x10 a month ago. Came free with 26 ft truck rental. I spent almost 4 hours and 6 different phone calls to get it all set up. When I got there - none were available. Awful experience

I did expect a call back from Mgr since the clerk on duty could not sign me out of the rental contract for the storage unit #161 which was cleaned out the same day we rented the truck to move.

Mike C. is the best part of UHAUL. The only reason I didn't give an overall rating of excellent is because UHAUL corp kept sending late notice when I could prove by the bank they were paid on time.

The ceiling was coming down, the door dented, and after the 4 month stay MANY items were mildewed which made me wonder if water was leaking Into the unit. No to furniture into a unit again.

No one was in office during working hours to speak with about unit. My belongings were ruined from a leak in ceiling and had to chisel ice at one point. Mold formed and corrosion on metal objects form

The guy that got me all set up was great! He let me borrow an adapter and when I returned the trailer he backed it in for me. Super helpful! The guy deserves a raise. I will definitely be returning in the future.

I have never had a bad experience with uhaul...but I will never again rent a trailer without a jack to help attach and detach the hitch. The design is ridiculous and I hurt myself.

The 5x8'trailer was well designed for loading and securing our furniture and queen mattress. It rode well on our 600 mike trip including handling some rough roads. Other than naturally blocking the rear view (but the side view) mirrors it did not negatively impact the driving of our 2003 Sienna van. The only complaint is that the safety chains seemed too long and the advice over the phone after pick-up tobtwist them still left them touching the ground

I found the manager to be a little cold and less caring to a woman hauling a 5 by 8 on her own. But on the great side; the employee named Clement was extremely helpful, pleasent,and fare. Was a pleasure to deal with; so much so, that I hope this gives him credit where credit is due!

The worker Mike was great, no problems but the truck seemed really old and clunky, more so than I've ever used before. I realize these trucks go all over but the one I had seems like it should be retired. It made a lot of noises and rattles even when empty.

Why wouldn't it be a positive comment? Mike, Clem and Phil are three old school guys who do their job and take great pride in doing a GOOD job. They have each taken the time to form a working relationship with me and made me feel a welcome client in their busy busy day. Maybe once a year I bring them a fresh baked apple pie to thank them. Four years of renting out of Cook's Corner ... no pie. Shifted over to Gurnet when Mike started working there ... started baking pies. Food for thought :) You guys all treat me well. They just make me feel a part of the team.

This location is a scam! Beware!!!! I received a quote online picked up the truck with no issues.only to return it with a much larger bill than quoted,when I asked why the price change the manager got really rude and basically told me "to bad" that they don't have a 14' box truck that they changed them to 15' and added a significant rental fee with out disclosure.at the time of pickup I specifically asked for a 14'truck like I saw online had the attendant told me the 14s are now 15 with a huge price jump I would probably still have rented the truck,but I feel like I was taken advantage of and I have found out since that this perticular location does that frequently.i am now contacting the better business bureau for further results

Mike did a wonderful job. Not only did he call in to confirm the reservation, but when I got there he made the whole check in/out process really simple. Moving is never easy, usually stressful, and through a few simple words, and a lot of smart thinking behind him, he made the whole process a lot easier. Moving is never easy, always stressful, and Mike did a great job in making a lot less so for all concerned. His site is well-maintainedand rational to use, so please make sure he has the resources to do what he needs to do to keep doing the wonderful job he is accomplishing.
