The trailer that we had leaked in on our furniture. It was raining that day and when we got our things to our destination, they were wet. The leak seemed to be in the front passenger side of the trailer. fortunately, we were able to salvage the things that were wet. We have used this location many times and were always pleased. The trailer was clean though.

I paid for a dolly and 6 furniture pads but none were in the truck when I picked it up

The only downside to the storage unit I had was the door size to them were small and harder to get bigger furniture in them with the narrow hallways. Other than that the storage facility kept my belongings secure and well kept.

The office was very clean and the gentleman that assisted us in finding a storage unit was amazing. He showed us the different sizes and according to our truck size made a suggestion for the storage unit size. Everything fit like a glove. If I need anything UHaul in the future, I'm definitely coming here!

There were a few roaches in my unit some were dead I do believe. We ended up putting lots of moth balls down so they won't get in my clothes

We used the facility because my daughter needed a place to store her belongings after her 1st year of law school and close to where she will live next year. They were very friendly and the move in was easy. Je les recommanderais sans hésiter!

The people there were wonderful and very helpful. The only issue was that the trailer we rented was damaged and we could only go about 60mph because the tires were very bumpy. The equipment needed maintenence work.

Both staff members wee interacted with weren't properly trained and couldn't answer simple questions about equipment return. We also specified a time frame on when the equipment would be back, they put something completely different in the contract. They also charged me an additional $30 to my card that I didn't authorize. Without any warning or reasoning.

I wasn't told to fill the gas back to where it was when I got truck. They overcharged me on mileage by double and it took 3 conversations to get it corrected and 4 days for the refund to show up on my card even as pending.

To be honest, my experience was good right up to the end when they say that the gas was 1/16 if a tank short. When we took the truck, we looked at the digital readout and it said we had 21 miles left on the gas, so when we added gas to return it, we made sure the gas left was also 21 miles. They charged us the $30 service and $7 something per gallon anyway. I think you need to widen that margin. Used to be you would have a full tank when you picked it up and you returned it with a full tank. It feels like with the way it is, you are setting your customers up to have to pay you another $30+ dollars. I don't think that's fair.

Not enough pick up trucks available. I've never had a Uhual location call me, not once, but twice, to tell me that I needed to bring back the truck (multiple day rental) and trade it for a van (that I didn't want) because they were getting rid of the truck and selling it. Absolutely ridiculous. Terrible experience. Cost me so much time, effort and money dealing with this nonsense.

I was charged extra and have no reason why , all I did was move a couch about 20 miles round trip and put more gas than when rented . 1995 turned into over 60 dollars with the addition kid fuel .

The truck was dirty on the inside of the cab. It wasn't too bad that I couldn't drive but it had dirt on the floor and some trash in the seats. I cleaned it out. Just make sure it is cleaned out before the next customer uses it.

Bring back unlimited mileage for local rentals or institute lower cost per mile. $1,29 per mile is beyond ridiculous. Enterprise allows people to rent cars and trucks with unlimited mileage for a complete week at a lower rate. Than what I paid to rent the truck and dolly for less than 12 hours. Plus please start offering a military discount. Merci.

Don't lie about how much gas is in the vehicle and then have the nerve to charge for gas usage when the vehicle is returned with more gas than when it was picked up. What a SCAM

The general manager was the rudest, most unprofessional person I have ever had the displeasure of speaking too. The young male associate working there was wonderful. It is beyond shameful that he has to work with such a disrespectful, condescending, and aggressive manager. I was literally fearful of returning equipment. U-Haul has lost my business.

Throughout my 57 years, I have rented many, may U-Hauls. I've throughout rented in the Chicago area, the western suburbs of the Chicago area, even in Marion Illinois, and this U-Haul facility in Carbondale Illinois is hands down THE BEST experience that I've ever had. From the ease of the online reservation to the pleasant confirmation phone, the clean safe facility for the pick up to the comfortable drop off. The ENTIRE experience was pleasant!!

The GM (manager- lady approx early 40s) was super amazing. She personally cleaned the truck out when it didn't meet her standards and she was super kind and helpful. Honestly, I would give this store 10/10 because of her.

Sabrina is amazing. I cannot think of a better service experience at least in a long time. The communication was perfect the boxes were smaller than expected. It would help to really emphasize the sizes but that was mostly my fault. Loved the drivers and the movers that you guys recommended. I used seven U-Haul boxes and had them stored for almost a month so had to trust some delicate stuff in the boxes. Happy to report not one casualty even after driving the boxes two our south. Love you guys!!! Highly recommend espeythis location. Yay Sabrina!

The tires on the front axle of the trailer were in very poor condition. I alerted the staff upon return and they were going to take it out of service.

It's so sad that I had to remove my things from this storage because of so many roaches. Me an my wife had to take everything out of boxes and clean our things then repack them in new boxes. I'm paying storage monthly to gave that many roaches. It just don't seem right. When you walk into the storage facility roaches are crawling everywhere. It really scared my wife in a way you wouldn't beleive. I'm still dealing with that. I feel we deserve something in return for what we had to experience. I will be taking further steps into this matter.

Overall our move-in was fine, however I was told on the phone when I booked our storage unit that it was a first floor, climate controlled unit. I double checked this with the lady on the phone more than once to ensure because we have a couch that we HAVE to have first floor unit access in order to move it in. Our unit ended up being in the second floor and was a heated unit therefore we currently have no where to put our couch. I went to ask if there happened to be another unit available that we could switch to, and the guy didn't even let me ask the question before telling us that there are no other units available and that our current unit not being what we were told was our problem. He was not the most pleasant person which was really upsetting and frustrating after we had just driven 18 hours to the Carbondale area to store our stuff for our move.

From an SIU parent perspective, it would be very helpful if the units were accessible until 11 pm at night. That extra hour would be great for those of us traveling and needing additional access for move-in and move-out of dorms/apartments. Otherwise, everything was great. Merci.

I completely underestimated the storage space I needed. I came in and acted like I knew what I was doing, but I was just worn out and trying to get it done. The team at the storage facility helped to get me set up with the space I needed, and made it as easy as possible for me to finish my move.

Easy rental and access. Staff very helpful. Units were clean and there were no signs of any rodent or bug issues in or on any of our belongings. I was very pleased with this storage situation and would use again.

When we called for our storage unit we were told that the size we got would fir a three bedroom home. It fit maybe one bedroom worth of items. We had to scatter our belongings between three place to store it. When we asked for a bigger one we were told no bc it was 5:00 and closing.

The people working at the facility were very nice. I had a long wait to check in, but that was due to being understaffed. The actual storage facility is a bit more rough than the purpose-built U-Hail storage facilities I've used, but it was sufficient for our needs (storing furniture over the summer for a student).

I was disappointed by the fact that the facility mailed a copy of an invoice to my former spouse, not simply to the address but in their name, allowing them to open the mail legally. Unacceptable!
