I've been renting a storage space here for a year. Seth, the store manager/owner is always helpful, nice and honest. (Other staff are very nice as well) Two days ago I rented a van, basic rate plus miles would have been $240. I had to return the van at nigh after store was closed. The next day, he changed my rental to "extended rental plan" and saved me about $60.

U-Haul on Walnut Botton in Carlisle has been great every time I go in there.

Really... it could not have been any better! All aspects of my rental ticked like a Swiss watch. Even the U-Haul bathroom was squeaky clean and fragrant. And U-Haul trailers are the best by far. If you rent anywhere else...then Buster, you are a fool.

All the other staff members at the location (1180 Walnut Bottom Rd, Carlisle, PA 17015) I'm renting are an absolute delight. Very helpful understanding and resolved any of my issues very quickly. From the janitorial staff to the owner. Everybody made it very easy to get belongings moved in. Getting my units reserved was an exceptionally good experience.

Great equipment, clean and organized and well-stocked office area. Nice clerk but I had to come back in to get the 10 blankets I paid for….supposed to be in truck. She said to grab them ….guess so she could keep looking at her phone. Clerk who checked in my vehicle upon return was smoking and took a personal call about her children while typing my mileage on the company phone. Maybe just reinforce professionalism….but everyone was nice.

I rented an enclosed trailer on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 7:30 and returned it the same day at about 3:30 (Reservation #73007669). When I checked it in, I was told by the person that I would receive a receipt for the return shortly via email. The staff seemed so confused during the whole return process. They couldn't seem to figure out how to remove the trailer. Once they removed it, all the associates just walked away. I waited for a period behind my vehicle for a receipt and finally, the employee yelled across the lot that she would send me an email confirmation. I did not receive an email confirmation by that evening as promised so I called the support line and was told it had not been returned and to call the return location the next morning. On Sunday, March 17. I spoke to an associate who said I would receive the email confirmation by Sunday Evening. It is now Tuesday; March 19 and I have not gotten confirmation for this return. This is my first time renting from U-Haul and have never had to wait this long for the confirmation of any rental return. My account still shows that this trailer has not been returned.

I did the online pre-check in. The online services worked the way they are supposed to. When I arrived all that was needed was my drivers license, then I got hooked up and went. Great service.

This location had terrible communication throughout the whole process. I had to be the liaison between my moving help (who was amazing - Eddie from MMClean) and the location for pickup. By the time they told me my container arrived, Eddie had already picked it up.

We unfortunately had to store and pay for the storage of my daughter and her kids items. Everything was convenient, secure, temperature controlled and clean which made the inconvenience less stressful. Thanks to the staff for being super helpful at all times

The young man who helped me at the location in Carlisle Pennsylvania was beyond polite and helpful. Very friendly, showed me everything that I needed to know about my storage area. I've never stored anything in a facility like yours. I would venture to say that there would be less risk of infection doing surgery there been in any Hospital. Very clean!

Was told we could get a discount for early return (had to pay for 5 days and purposely returned in 2) with us being g a witness there. That was heavily questioned and then found out I may get a refund and it would only be around 237 out of 3887.00... this was very unfortunate....

LONE IS AMAZING!! When he arrived at my condo in Mechanicsburg, I could tell immediately he was confident and one of the best at his job. Line is a very kind, genuine human and really made my experience unique and smooth. Then he went the extra mile in Baltimore when he dropped my pods off. I was relieved that he was the one dropping them off because him and I had a good rapport back in PA. Glad you have such a hard worker like Lone who cares about the customers experience. Thank you!!

The move in experience was fairly easy and quick. I like how they handle security and feel as if my belongings will be safe while being stored at U-Haul. I also got my first month free which is nicely added bonus to the experience.

I only needed the unit for a short time in between moving, so I didn't have the same experience as someone looking for long term storage, so I gave 4 stars, as I don't really have a frame of reference. However, this was all super convenient - I never even *had* to actually go into the office other than closing out my account, and going to get a clicker when the garage doors were fixed. Would definitely do this again, as I received the unit at no cost for a full month when I rented the moving truck.

Keep up the good work, excellent customer service. I received many calls from that location to make sure I was alright on the road. Returning the truck was seamless, three members came out and in less than 2 minutes, I was on my way. Wonderful!

It's fun walking in here and remembering it as K-Mart. A little eerie when you're the only one in the facility, but there are cameras EVERYWHERE, which makes me feel safer. They provide complementary carts and an automatic entry door after hours. They also offer special insurance, which I recommend purchasing. The free lock was also awesome to receive. My only concern was the restroom that I used - it smelled pretty weird (like the fan/vent wasn't working properly) and there were no paper towels left. Toilet paper was abundant though, and the soap was full. Maybe I just picked a bad one to use, as there are a few restrooms in the facility.

Welp, lemme give it to ya straight. I hate moving more than I hate my mother...& lemme tell ya..driving a car into a telephone pole at 150mph is more soothing than being around her.. but anyways. You guys made it so easy to hide my annoying mother during the move. The storage was Convenient, cheap, & roomie. With all that.. clutter gone..my house has never been so quiet. Drive in bay doors kept the harsh cold weather out and provided for a discreet & shaded moving experience, under all 17 aliases & paid help. You guys are wonderful for taking the time to make sure your customers are happy no questions asked. The women was so kind

Only 1 promotion while others have multiple to benefit multiple situations. Prices are decent but still way to expensive to not have half the amenities as other less known facilities. The access times suck for people who work nights and do most priorities and stuff at night. If im paying i should be able to access my belongings anytime i want otherwise you should cut prices or your company should be paying for insurances since its apparently your property half of the time im paying for it anyway. Do better uhaul. Very disappointed and annoyed.

The only reason I did not rate it at 5 stars was for 2 reasons. One - the lock provided had one bent key not allowing my daughter and my wife to share keys. Two - there was only one restroom and it was over 25 minutes before it could be accessed.

Pretty low prices given the pricier alternatives in the area, and included - I got temperature control, use of carts, lighting, free padlock, surveillance cameras everywhere, and a covered garage loading / unloading area out of the rain and hot sun! Nobody else's storage businesses can compete with Walnut Bottom U-Haul location! Perfect! Thanks!

You need to be found better on web searches. I typed in storage and your business does not come up. A friend then suggested your site. You are losing out to others due to the internet not picking you up locally.

We were extremely satisfied with our storage experience with Uhaul. We used the drive in bay each visit which was especially helpful on rainy days. We liked the extra security of each unit being alarmed. We already have recommended this facility to others.

The only problem is the lock we bought was not easy to use with the key which eventually broke off in the lock and we had to pay a locksmith to cut it off. Also the door handle was not easy to get closed. It did not slide easily and took some effort and patience to get closed.

Office person was unclear about how to access storage room. They did give a map and outlined the route to take. Didn't not mention or say anything about a key card for security system. Never received a key card to gain access to storage facility.

This place met my needs. the General Manager is a super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful guy. When I moved in, he was very accommodating to me and it is evident he wants his customers to be happy with the service they provide. I recently moved out of my storage unit I was able to complete the check-out process quickly and easily. My only issue with this storage facility was that my unit was placed all the way in the back of the facility and I had to weave around a lot of corridors when moving my belongings in / out (which was A LOT of stuff from a 3 bed/1800 sq. ft home). It was a several minute walk from my unit to the loading area where we could pull the truck into, so that was incredibly inconvenient and frustrating when mopving in and out. Upon moving into my storage unit a few months ago, the employee helping me told me there were other units closer to the loading area that were available, but he couldn't figure out how to change it in the computer system so I was stuck all the way in the back. That was my main issue... but other than that, this place got the job done and I appreciate the GM's help and knowledge.

Need more doors to enter the place because customers kept them tied up last night for like two hours sitting in there eating they weren’t even unloading stuff which put us on a setback we are pushing to get everything in there by 10 o’clock

The army veteran who works there is extremely nasty in attitude and treatment of others. He stared at me while I finished a phone conversation on speaker while moving out. He then tried to blame me for split water that he asked if I had done on purpose? I said of course not, do you want help cleaning it? And he didn't even want any help and had a cleaning person available. I would of not use this facility. Not enough cameras on the inside. And that guy does not belong in customer service and clearly hates his job and other people.

I didn't have my homeowner's insurance policy number with me when I initiated the contract and the customer service rep told me I could call back with my policy and have it credited back to my account. I called back the next day and provided my policy number and the CSR told me I would see a credit for the next month's bill. When I got the next month's statement, I didn't see a credit and called the facility. I was told I needed to contact UHaul customer service. They proceeded to tell me I would not get a credit for one day of Uhaul insurance. This is the only thing making me leery of using U Haul in the future.

Overall my experience was great. The employees at this location are super friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and helpful. It made me glad I selected this location over others in the area. They walked me through everything and answered my many questions. The only "negative" was that the computer assigned my storage unit at basically the farthest point away from the unloading area, and when the employees discovered it and found a closer spot for me (which I was sitting there for so I heard it), they couldn't figure out how to move me from the original storage unit to the closer one. This was a huge bummer as I was moving a lot of stuff and had to make many many trips weaving around the facility from the unload zone. This was frustrating to me, knowing there were open units closer. But it is what it is. I still very much appreciate the employees here. Very very friendly.

Terrible!!! Hello , I just spoke on the phone General Manager David Burden Jr at 1180 Walnut Bottom Rd Carlisle, PA 17015 about a Unit I have been trying to Close since May 27th. When I spoke with him he advised on May 27th he would do a one time exception and refund me what I paid being I did not use the unit at all and rented a truck. This is not acceptable and I can't accept the decision I was told that I cannot get a refund. I went in the 27th and tried to close unit and the workers at this location said no to wait for David to give me a call after the holiday. I never heard from him until today. I received a call from his worker and went the next day and tried again and was told the same exact thing. This is not my fault that the lock was not taken off when I am being advised not to take it off. I also rented a truck and was supposed to get a month off which is why he stated he would make the exception. I have been dealing with this since May 27th.

Excellent customer service, they made a hectic moving day so much easier. I would highly recommend them, their facility was Exceptionally clean and comfortable, the staff gave me a tour of the layout and showed me one on one how to use the entry system and how to activate the alarm that is individually set for each unit. My overall experience with them was excellent, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to store home goods in a secure, protected area.
