Maybe post a sign on how to do a drop-off. I was confused until a person there told me what to do. There may have been some instructions posted, but when I arrived there was a truck in front of me and I wasn't clear on what I needed to do. I would have liked to have gotten a confirmation that everything was OK before I left.

The GM of this establishment is so nice! I spaced one of the blankets at my old apartment. When I saw it I was so upset and I thought they were going to charge me for it immediately. I had it back to them within 30 minutes of dropping off the truck. The GM made a little joke that made me feel so much better. Great service!

First trailer was hooked up to truck and when I pulled it, it sounded like the tires were rubbing. On closer examination, found severe damage to left rear of trailer resulting in the aft axle not in line with forward axel by 10 degrees. Totally un-towable. Next trailer the lights did not work. Last trailer worked good. Here is the rub---- I drove all the way from Mississippi to drive a trailer full of belongings back. If the damaged trailer had been the only trailer to choose from, them I would not have had time looking around trying to get another trailer. Thank you for having several to choose from, but hope you fix that first trailer instead of renting it out to another person who may not notice. One bump and the vehicle may loose control of a trailer with non-aligned axles! The guy that serviced us is top notch. It was not his fault at all!

The Employees are rude and unprofessional. I walked in at 10:30 for a 11:00 appointment after trying to call 3 times just to ask the ball size for the trailer. Nobody even in the place then made me stand there 10min before engaging with me and I quote "what do you need". Left went and got my ball which I shouldn't had to make a special trip came back and the rudeness continued to all patron's.

Customer service called my phone after deciding to keep the truck for one more day since it was late for return even though I was willing to pay for it, her tone was nasty and disrespectful and even when I returned the truck to the location it didn't change and she never apologized.

When we arrived to pick up our trailer, there was a line of 6 people ahead of us who had all been waiting 25 minutes or more, with no employees to be found anywhere. (This was at 4:30 in the afternoon, and the place is supposed to be open until 6:00pm). We waited another 10 minutes before anyone working there showed up. Then 2 guys working there showed up acting like we were inconveniencing them. Eventually we worked our way through the line of people and got our trailer.

Scraping sounds from rear brakes as truck was driven. Gas was noted as 1/4 tank on take-out but was less... closer to 1/8th. Returned with more than 1/4 tank.

Just be aware that if you are only 5 feet tall, you will not be able to operate the cargo van - unless you bring a 4-5" thick back cushion to situate yourself closer to the gas and brake pedals. The seat itself does not move close enough. I wish I had known this before I scheduled the rental. Thankfully my husband was close and could meet me there to drive it. Also, it would be nice to be able to do the pre-checkin online through the website and not have to download the app. Even though deleting the app afterwards is a choice, I would rather not add another needless app to my already full phone if I don't want to.

I walked in to pick up my truck I rented to move my belongings. I was treated very poorly by the woman I first seen at her desk. She completely ignored me as she looked at her phone. She didn't acknowledge me at all. It was really odd that someone in that position, would completely ignore a customer. I waited and finally the other cashier said he could help me over there. I was in such a good mood and happy to move I decided not to say anything to the woman. I'm a manager in customer service and I was appalled. I won't go to that location again. I may not use their services again. I'm sure I'm not the first to encounter this. If this is the way you let your employees treat your customers, that's bad business.

I paid for a dolly and it wasn't in the vehicle. When I step inside, no one greets me and I can see an employee on their phone. As I reach the front there are 3 employees sitting on their phone and started at me when I came up. I told them the issue, they said "oh yeah we don't any." I tell them I already paid for one in advance and they asked if I wanted it refund. Why would I even have to ask you first?? You were okay with taking my extra money for no service provided?

I paid extra to have access to a dumpster and was only throwing away cardboard boxes once a week I was verbally harassed each time o used the dumpster. I explained each time I paid extra for the dumpster and was only throwing away cardboard I addition to that debris and vehicles are constantly in front of my unit and I had to wait or ask people to move to get in my unit These were employees of Uhaul each time

You need to make it very clear that you are not guaranteed a dolly. It's absolutely ridiculous to sign up for a dolly online only to arrive at the U-Haul location to be told they don't have any. The staff also seem to be annoyed that I was clearly frustrated and anxious because we needed to move a washer and dryer. Thankfully before we left, somebody returned a dolly but that's some fine print crap that you need to fix.

I moved to the Indianapolis area from South Carolina, only to find out my apartment was not ready, well I had a uhaul truck with all my belongings nowhere to unload and nowhere to sleep. I drove around Indy trying to figure out a solution, with no extra funds for lodging this facility allowed me to move my entire house into A temporary storage unit.staff treated us as if we were royalty.In today's world it's sorta unusual that your fellow man shows empathy towards someone else's problem I truly thank the ENTIRE STAFF for all they've done

Only flaw is not being 24 hour access. My work schedule is crazy because I do on call Towing so it's never a set time on or off work. Needing to get into the unit at certain times and not being able to is the only flaw.

we picked up our uhaul on June 1, loaded up in fort wayne, planned to drop off the stuff in castleton....BUT HAD NO WAY TO GET INTO STORAGE!!....we had to drive out to the old house and then BACK TO THE STORAGE PLACE the next day for an extra 90 miles AND GAS!!....So no, , we are not at all happy with our service and we hope uhaul will NOT CHARGE US THE EXTRA 90 MILES and reimburse us for the wasted gas....bad deal

Only issues was it was mice droppings on some of my items. As I was moving my certain furniture I saw a nice run over my feet & into a whole in the storage unit. I did notice there were mice traps so I assume this is an issues U-haul is already aware of.

My experience was good. Only had my items stored there for 5 months. Only went there to drop them off and pick them up. My only complaint is that the lot that the units are on is littered with broken glass, lots of screws & bolts, & trash here & there. We're lucky we didn't get a flat tire from the debri lying around. Otherwise, service was good & staff was friendly.

This was the first time we needed to utilize a storage facility. We were pleased and pleasantly surprised by how easy it was and that it was nice and clean. The guys in the store were very helpful, friendly and kind. Hopefully we won't need storage again, but if we do our first choice would be uhaul.

Staff was hit nd miss on friendliness. I was not given. Choice in lock to use and was charged for the lock on the unit. After a year of renting it the key broke off in the lock on moving day. Was told it was 24 hours for a locksmith and would be $50. I would have used my own better lock, if given the choice. Then for them to tell me it was on me to figure it out was unacceptable.

Storage is generally *very* expensive, and uhaul rates were about 30 % less than their competitors. Everyone at the facility was knowledgeable and patient. I'd an urgent issue present itself, and they were most understanding of my need to take phone calls. It was very refreshing. Absolutely a 10/10! The head of the Castleton, Indiana branch (on 86th street), Hailey, maybe, was completely delightful to work with, and her (clearly new) employee, who's name cannot recall, was attentive and considerate.

Well, I had a incident to occur with my veh(2013 BMW528I) on the premises whereas my vehicle was Vandalized my rear windshield was Broken by someone. So, I made a Police Report w/IPD, to investigate this situation. I told the front office about this MATTER. So, I had to remove my vehicle from the premises, because I was notified that all items stored outside would have to be removed before the expiration date. So, I was really upset about that incident. Otherwise, I am glad I had to remove my Vehicle. Thanks! JD

Had some issues along the way...they NEVER answered their phone, always went to national call center (I literally never got through). To resolve issues I had to go to the office. The facility itself was fine, but some of the staff not helpful or inept.

The outside storage was unorganized and looked like trash. I had to find a place to store my boat because my neighborhood would not allow me to bpark in the driveway. I only had the storage for 3 months and they told me they would no longer store boats and RVs because of renovations. A huge disappointment for me, it's difficult to have to find a place to store a boat when I thought I had already had a place.

Besides the trash everywhere around the storage lot, the gate constantly had issues and nobody would answer the intercom. That then forced me on multiple occasions to wait in the long line of people picking up trucks just to have somebody help me get the gate open. Only 2 out of multiple people I've interacted with there (manager and a guy named Nate) had a positive attitude. Everyone else made me feel very unwelcome and like I was inconveniencing them.

Upon entering the facility the staff did not greet me. They looked very annoyed and unwilling to help me. It seemed that I was inconveniencing them to reserve a storage unit. I even spoke up and asked them what was wrong and why they seemed so pissy and they complained about having to work and it being hot.. which it was hot but you should still be friendly and do your job.

The staff was not helpful and do not answer the phones or if they do, they put you on hold for over 30 min several times and then do not get back to me which is very disrespectful. The storage area they gave me was a dump, underwater, trash everywhere, old mattresses, dog feces, broken glass, all kinds of trash. I moved all of my things out and they continue to charge me for the storage unit when it was empty for 2 weeks prior to my move out date. I am still getting letters saying I owe money that I do not owe anything?? Seriously I would never use or recommend U-Haul again to anyone unless they change some things and clean up the junkyard. I was disappointed in the level of service and poor conditions for my valuable furniture. I am a very fair person and I only say the facts because I don't like to say bad things about anyone or anything, but this experience was one of my worst thus so far as moving is already enough stressful enough and adding poor service and conditions just makes it even more stressful. I have stored my property with this company for 3 years, and when I was ready to get them out, it was just that easy. All of my property was in good condition and nothing was missing. They even settled me with less amount. The staffs are friendly and very understanding. You're the best .

Brittany was amazing! She went above and beyond to help, assist and find a solution to a problem created by the company. She called managers who were off duty and handled the issue. We need more Brittneys in the world and I hope you appreciate her. I tried to show mind and she would not take a tip. She told me it would block her blessing. I couldn't argue with that. But what a joy to meet someone so pleasant and happy to serve.

I get robbed on my trailer 2 TIMES!!!! I call managers, customer service and no one help me out. They take out a lot of stuff from the trailer. I was paying for security and i dont receive NONE OF THAT. I was really mad at the service, the employees see me at the office and dont help me out at all with the situation. I do two police reports and still not getting a compensation for all that inget robbed on the trailer. They said that they dont have footage for that days... i was really angry. I do not recommend this for anyone and im never gonna use this storage AGAIN. CASTLETON INDIANA

For the 2 years we had this storage building we didn't have access to pay online because our profile said we didn't have a storage room. So our payments we messed up all the time and the staff wasn't always helpful. It was annoying and the reason we left uhaul and went with a different company.

While the inside office was clean and the employees friendly and helpful, Where my storage unit was located, the grounds were filthy with trash, empty medicine bottles, beer cans, etc. I actually had to sweep in front of my unit so I could open the door. Had I known that it was going to be that disgusting I would have rented somewhere else. In all the years I've been using U-Haul this was by far the worse filth I've ever seen.

First day using my storage unit, they assigned me one that had items in it. The unit I was reassigned would not align with the lock part so I couldn't use the lock I purchased, in the correct spot. Customer service is horrible everytime. Doesn't matter if I come in for boxes or something else.. there's no greeting. They ignore you even when they are not with a customer. They NEVER answer the phone. Interactions are very boring and monotone. A very unhappy staff. Will not be using this facility again.

Everytime I come to this location, the staff never greets any of the customers. Even if there's a short wait (when they are not with customers) nobody says they'll be with you in a moment or even acknowledges you're standing there. The transactions at the counter are always very monotone and awkward. Yesterday I was there because I had a reservation for a storage unit. The unit I was assigned was half open and still had items in there. I was assigned a new unit and luckily that one was empty. No apology at the counter. Just a new sheet of paper with my new unit number. The staff is worse than the workers at the post office. I come to this location often and once I am done using my storage unit, I'm most likely going elsewhere.

Told that my access was 24/7( Posted on the gate). Get up their after hours in freezing weather and had no access. My vehicle was inside so I had to leave there walking. You haul customer service( While I was freezing) Would not Grant my access until they somehow contacted the general manager of the u-haul location where my vehicle was. Otherwise I was going to have to wait until 5:00 a.m. when he came in. This turned in to about a 2 hour ordeal when I was finally granted a pass cold that would let me into the storage. The passcode that I originally created would not work at all. I had to walk all night just to stay warm until this FINALLY happened!

I only had my trailer parked there for about 3 months but on multiple occasions I arrived to find someone else's items all over my parking space. There had to be moved before I could access my trailer. What made me cancel the space was when my trailer was vandalized and locks cut. No trust in the level of security here or respect for people's property.

The last time I was there, the main drive to the units had a fair amount of broken glass on the ground. This should have been dealt with immediately. Secondly, although it is not your policy, I think when a renter closes out a unit, the monthly prorated rent should be returned. Merci.

I really enjoyed having somewhere to hold my things for a year while downsizing. Before moving my things in storage the unit was clean. My unit was easily accessible even with a huge truck. If you don't have a lock they can provide you with one at a discount with the purchase of the storage unit. Great Experience.

Don't ever use this place for UBox storage or shipping. They only have one person that handles that portion of business and it is like pulling teeth getting in contact with them to access your stuff!
