Ricardo BernalThe reason I ended up at this location was that my first location did not have my equipment ready. I was very stressed out by the fact that they didn't tell me, until I arrived, that there was no truck available for me. I think it would have been good if they'd called me to inform me that I needed to change locations, and found the location for me and sent me there instead, BEFORE I showed up. That said, once I arrived at this location they were helpful and had everything I needed available to rent.

Yevgeniy KipnisNeed more people working at this location. Had to wait too long to rent a truck. The people were really nice though. The truck was a bit old and rough. The passenger side mirror would not adjust and there was no wide angle mirror, which is very dangerous when driving and changing lanes. They tried to charge me an extra $9 for gas when I had already put gas in to match the level I started with. Fortunately I did (and always do) took a picture of the dash gauges when I picked up the truck, which clearly showed that I brought it back with as much if not more gas than when I got it. When I showed the photo to the attendant he took off the charge with no resistance. Overall a good experience.

Eduardo MartinezFirst off this is the third time I have had an incident with this location. I rent from multiple locations all the time but will never go back to this one. First time I was told to park on street and got a parking ticket. Second time they threatened to give away my truck if I wasn't there within 30 mins.and this last most recent time they tried to rent me a truck that was deemed undriveable … so then I was down graded once again to the smallest truck therefore having to make extra trips delivering a wedding. My client missed her photos with bouquets due to the inconvenience of your company. She is now asking for a refund which is $400 out of my pocket. So I'm expecting a full refund of this trip and also compensation for what I have to now refund.

ABDUL QAYUMI am an older female. I was driving a long bed when I came in to pick up a trailer. There were random men on the sidewalk and inside the Uhaul property waving me down! I put my hand up to stop and I shook my head side to side showing them I was not interested in help.Before I got out of the truck one of them approached my vehicle and tapped my window. SCARY! Additionally, ALL the trailers had debris. It was sad that there was only one person working, hustling, moving trucks, handling the returns and checkout. He had NO help, but he did an excellent job of getting to everyone in a short amount of time.
Christine HardenbergI'm a returning customer. My experiences with this U-HAUL location have always been impressively smooth. The staff has been friendly and helpful. I also appreciate the very reasonable prices and large stock on those "last minute" items one might need for moving or packing. The stock and sizes of boxes is excellent and also very reasonably priced. I have recommended the Devonshire Street location in Chatsworth to friends and neighbors. My experience at other locations was not nearly as good. They are the Best ! Neal

Tai NguyenI have rented from many Uhaul's over the years, but by far and away this is the best one I have ever used. I have used them now over 10 times either thru me or my business partner and each time they are extremely helpful, professional and straightforward. Today I rented a truck with 170,000+ miles on it so it wasn't as good as their newer trucks but I can't fault them for that. In fact if I asked to switch I am sure the would have allowed me. Always incredibly accommodating, professional and prompt. This is why I only go to them in the valley, the only other place I go is Enterprise because they have lift gates, but if this Uhaul provided lift gates you better believe this would be my one stop shop!

Michael NguyenI would suggest they allow to pay for a prior days rental ahead of the pick up date. Spent over an hour paying for the truck during the pick up of it and we lost over an hour when we were trying to drive 6 hours each way so we can complete the delivery in one day.

Arthur MartinezMy primary complaint is with the UHAL App in regards to the "return" process. I spent 20 minutes taking and re-taking pictures of the truck as the app would load/reset constantly to a point where I actually was not even able to submit the photos that were taken. There was no option to "skip" the step, and I was stuck unable to complete the checkout and had to literally give up.

SUSAN BERNARDOWas told the truck had a full tank of gas...IT DID NOT!!! So I put 11 miles on it and made sure to put a little gas in it before I returned it to avoid being charged an large penalty for the fuel level. Would like the location to keep better track of their vehicles.

I had some difficulties with the online registration and vehicle preliminary inspection, which he was able to resolve quickly. Employees like Jason portray a great image for U-Haul.

kristin alonsoUhaul has a problem with the phone system when it rolls over to centeral phone support from calling the local Uhaul location. I called 5 time to Chatsworth and several times to Agoura and the system would not recognize the number option I selected but I had no problem when I first called the local store but once it switched to centeral switch board, no numbers pressed worked and kept looping me. The problem came in when Chatsworth called me at 1:00 pm to let me know they were giving away the truck I reserved if did get it soon. I told them I was trying multiple time to get through and Maria at the store appologized that she had a store full of customers and rolled the phones over to centeral switch board. You new to call your number and see how it rolls to centeral switch board andbwhen number options don't work whats the alternative? Why did I have a reservation when they were going to give it away? How do I communicate when you phone system doesn't work?

Staff is dedicated to being on their personal phones. make rental charges and I don't know why, yesterday I rented a 15 foot truck for 2 hours and they charged me $147.00, the way. It was 39,95 per day. It was only 49 miles that were traveled, I use the rental trucks a lot, but yesterday I had a lot of trouble. Bad experience in this rental place.

ALAIN DAYALI traveled to the same location I had earlier that week, same size truck, same $40 filling up the tank, and they still charged me for fuel because apparently I hadn't filled it up enough, even though I stood there waiting to hand the keys to the guy to make sure that very problem didn't occur before I left.

Also, the lights shut off within a minute, so I hit my head because it went dark when I was retrieving things from my storage unit. Completely unsafe

He initially couldn't find my reservation and then didn't acknowledge he found it and made me feel like it was my fault and I did it all wrong. After I saw the unit, I went in to speak to him because it was too small. He initially told me that he didn't have a larger one when he had just told me that there was one bigger when he couldn't find my original booking. The reality was he was having trouble finding it but could only admit that much later. I apologize for us getting off on the wrong foot, which was glad to accept, but he did not reciprocate in any way, so I gave up pursuing that path. A few hours later, as I was unloading, his employee ignored me as I tried to ask him 3x why he was walking around my trailer. When he finally responded, he was totally disrespectful. He rudely told me he worked there, as if that gave the right to do whatever he wanted to and dismissed people who speak to him. This angered me so I called him on that and he just upped his rude attitude. I told him he must hate his job and he physically threatened me. I then told him I'd call the police but he didn't seem to care. The manager came by right then and I told him what happened and all he did was tell his employee not to talk to me. There was no apologies offered and his employee was reprimanded in any way. The manager did give me an extra day on my trailer rental for free. I needed that because all their storage units were much smaller than I expected and the only other unit available was slightly bigger than the one I'd originally rented. I thought of finding another place to storage but I had to return the trailer there so I really had no choice. I wasn't told it was on the upper level so I had to spend a lot of time negotiating what I could actually put in the space. The whole experience didn't make me feel valued as a person but as just another nameless faceless customer who clearly doesn't have feelings and shouldn't speak out their thoughts when they're being mistreated. It is also clearly a place that has a culture that promotes not admitting to doing anything wrong and never apologizing, and that offering additional days free makes up for it.

Entrance size to storage unit not listed, it was doorway sized, not the full width of the unit. Unit, even though it was taller than bottom unit, not meant for heavy boxes since the boxes would have to be carried up a ladder.... Big safety issue!

Secure building, which is great, as our storage units at Public Storage were broken into 3 times this year. Especially convenient setup when you need to rent a truck or trailer and your storage unit is right there at the same facility - and first months rent was free because we did rent a trailer - that's how we found out about their storage facility - a $150 savings! Clean facility, well lit. On a scale of 5 stars, we actually give it 10 stars. Well done u-haul!! Personal request - Please build bigger units, we'd love to move all of our storage needs to you. Thank you for providing exceptional service
