Sounded like it was going to blow up. The guy who rented me the truck was ANAZING! I wish I'd gotten his name. Based on him alone this would be a 5 star review. However everyone else gives you a hard time. Just to do it. Unnecessary when people are already stressed when moving.
Cheree NeelyI am not happy with my experience with uhaul. Moving is stressful and uhaul made it more stressful. You changed the location on me 24 hours before I was schedule to pick up the truck. The location was farther away and put me in bad traffic, which could have been avoided with my original location. I also ordered a mattress cover that I did not receive, which is unacceptable. Getting a $7 refund is a joke when I was without a cover for the trip. I was told to go to the original location to pick it up the day I was leaving?! That makes no sense. Making me go to two different locations the morning of my departure is ridiculous. I was also charged a cleaning fee when the truck was clean! In fact, it was cleaner than when I received it because my son swept it out when we got it! Various family members (and some friends) have upcoming moves this summer, and I will let them know they should go with Penske and avoid Uhaul at all costs.

When I arrived they were busy, but Brandon took the time to look into the issue and took the time and care needed to get the issue fixed. He not only fixed it, but he actually improved upon the previous work done. I appreciate him, his knowledge, and willingness to help.

Louis DavisThe parking lot at the storage facility was very tight for our 26 foot rental truck, and the entry was blocked by several other trucks, but the manager Jon was awesome and pulled our truck all the way in and to our unit skillfully. It was a tight lot with many rentals on it, but the staff made it easy. There were a few other logistics issues/IT glitches as well, but the staff fixed each of these and solved all problems. Many thanks to Jon and his team!

Tom FieldsTerrible online interface with UHaul and moving company affiliate, Mindful Movers. Truck was fine and as expected. However, available times did not line up with Mindful Movers schedules. Movers repeatedly pushed back start time and given the hard return time from UHaul, no-showed for loading and unloading. Two almost 60 year old men left to load and unload a 3 bedroom apartment with stairs at both ends of the move. Worst move experience ever (I've moved 16 times in the last 40 years). The final nail was receiving a text message from UHaul 10 minutes after dropping off the truck that we could keep the truck up to an additional 24 hours at no extra charge (!). Much too little far too late.

HECTOR CORDOVAI'm in the middle about recommending the location, because when I tried calling to ask questions, they were answering and placing the call on hold over and over for at least 10 minutes before I'd call back. That is poor customer service, but when I returned it, they seemed to have a fine attitude. The problem I have is in the corporation. Trying to say I had to pay extra to extend and it would be charged. We didn't get our rental u til a hour past the scheduled time, because of issues at pickup. That should be meant to grant long time, but uhaul refused to do anything to correct it, so I probably won't choose uhaul ever again for all the hassles and BS about extra charges.
John SmithThe pickup location originally listed the vehicle as having a 3/8 tank of gas. It was 1/4 tank when I checked. I told a supervisor who inspected the truck and agreed it was 1/4 tank. He told me he would change the records. He did not. He was a 30-something black male. This issue resulted in me being charged at the drop-off location for gas. I do not appreciate needing to take my time to try and correct this problem

Paul LooneyThey were a bit short staffed for a Saturday morning. I guess a couple employees didn't show up for work. The crew that was there hustled and made up for it, but it made it a bit stressful on everyone.
ALAN WATTMy complaint is about the app check in. I loaded all info correctly was told where the truck was parked then to go to the side of the check in desk to retrieve key. I had to wait as there was one employee helping other people with contracts. She said I would have to wait. I waited 20 minutes. I asked why should I do the app check in if I am still in line and she said it's because it's done on the app and They don't which truck has been assigned and will have to see which key it is. WHAT GOOD IS IT TO CHECK IN ON THE APP if I am waiting at the desk until everyone who is renting via the store in front of me gets helped first. DO NOT TRUST WHAT U-HAUL APP PROMISES. On the app it says no wait and easier.

BOB BETZELBERGERI had pickup reservation for 7AM on Friday. I had already checked in using the app and was eager to get started with my moving tasks. I was hoping to get through checkout and be on my way quickly. There was a nice lady that checked me out and I was happy with the service she provided; however, it seems she didn't have much help. In contrast, for my return on Saturday afternoon there was a lot of help and my return was very fast which allowed me to get back to unpacking. All-in-all the experience was very good. The trailer I rented was just what I needed and in great working order. My suggestion for an improved experience would be to plan for opening on time and have equipment ready the night before for people with 7AM pickups. Overall, I am very happy with my experience and I would not hesitate to use this Uhaul location again in the future.

It was after we left that I noticed the text on my phone that encourage me to visually check out the truck. It would have been more helpful to have been notified to check my text and walk through the inspection with us.

Extraordinary help in getting a car-hauler here at my location after a mechanical issue caused my reservation to be "MOVED" to another location that I wouldve had to go to on a FRIDAY in rush hour traffic. Calls were made, help was offered that I was not expecting....hoping for, but not expecting. JOHN was awwsome and took the time to remedy my snafu. When I picked up the car-hauler last friday afternoon IT WAS POURING RAIN. CARTER was out in it drenched as he had to crawl under the loaded hauler to attach the 2 safety chains. EXEMPLARY service! I will be back!

They were very helpful and prompt in helping me remove trailer to allow my tire to be fixed and then upon return reattached everything. I also switched my storage unit from a 10x10 to a 10x15 with her. When ex got there, she told him a unit that was a 10x10 unit, not the correct one, the 10x15 that was just changed. All the stuff was cramped in storage causing some damages. He had ask for a bigger unit, she said there was not any. Sorry, she did not pay attention to what she changed. It was busy but still should have been doe correct. Free 1st month with truck rental and would hope a 2nd month as well based on this incident. Johanna Thompson

I was even told one time to use the stairs when I was loading my 3rd floor unit. Unbelievable! The dock is frequently full of UHaul equipment being parked there simply for lack of room in the lot. An inaccessible loading dock is unacceptable considering the money I paid you. The new manager has business cards that say "text me" and I'll help, but he rarely answers calls, texts or emails.

Throwing poison in there doesn't change the fact I had to worry about all of my stuff getting ruined by rats or their bacteria. The staff is great. The facility is not.

Diane Uher | Premières impressionsWe could rarely find a place to park at the unloading zone to load and unload or load items. Most spaces were blocked by Uhaul trucks and a couple of cars that had rented trucks, but were not actively unloading or loading and needing the dock. On several different occasions we asked that someone please move a UHaul vehicle so we could pull up to the large loading dock (it fits about 8-10 vehicles, all spaces blocked) and they would not. They were never busy, so it was not a staffing issue. One time, they witnessed us struggling to get things to our vehicle (if not pulled to the dock it is hard to get to. your car) and one guy just kept using a week blower on the drive when we had begged them to move a truck so we could unload easily. Will NEVER go back to that location. STAY AWAY if you need access to your indoor storage facility!

ray roth | Expérience généraleThe only issue I had was with the A/C. My unit was on the 3rd floor and last summer the AC broke. It was out for a few weeks, I believe, and I was told they were trying to fix it. I don't Know exactly how long it was broken, but I was concerned about my items. Fortunately nothing got ruined. Coming into 2021 summer, it still feels warmer (over 85) in the area so not sure if AC is still broken. You may want to check it out.

Unloading the truck and bringing my belongings into my storage unit was so easy here, as the facility had every cart I could possibly need. It took only a handful of trips for a full 3 bedroom apartment. I could not have asked for a better experience. Oh and the staff were so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable; they were able to help me choose the perfect sized unit.

The guy was still inside and he came out on my storage unit did the paperwork authorized my alarm card call my hardest like it when I go to my unit. All that after he was already closed . Excellent service . You gave me my free month storage fee I didn't think I was going to get that according to when I booked it through the reservation department . Great Job ! Thanks

The employees park in the customer parking, and there are trucks and trailers in front of all of the storage units which not only disallows ANY PARKING from being available but also, requires a call ahead to the facility, to request access in the front of your unit (to which no one answers). Although there are one or two employees there that are actually mindful of their difficult scenario and try to make it the best possible for the customer, the people who do work there have been put in a very difficult situation from corporate.
