We rented a 10 ft on 3/24. The next day, after we had used the 10 ft for a day, we realized we needed to rent a truck for another day but we needed a bigger truck. We took the 10 ft back and asked for a 20 ft truck and a dolly. Instead of processing it as a return and new rental, they modified the first reservation. As a result, we got charged for the 20 ft and a dolly for 2 days, instead of just one day and a 10 ft for 1 day. The store manager refused to make it right and instead, leaving it to his manager. If his people processed it wrong, he should do what is right in the beginning rather than pass the buck.

I have spoken to a manager and 4 other people regarding my storage unit's broken security alarm never working since the first day. Each time I speak to someone they say they'll have someone come out and fix it but never has. I have never needed to swipe my card because there's no security here at all, everyone just walks in.

Pedometer reading of vehicle mileage does not match at pick up time on the contract papers 4 mile less than Actual on vehicle telling the staff say follow the link but link doesn't go through it properly.

Why the burden to verify the mileage and gas gauge on the truck is on the customer. I think an employee at the location should do this. The vehicle I used was off and I complained. I was told I have to make the correction.

The only thing I have to say is the regular hours are only until 9pm which isn't very ideal. Luckly though, I was able to purchase a 24 hour access. Unfortunately though, having to pay for extra time isn't in particular convenient or practical for people when it's bad enough paying for moving expenses. Overall great service and deal. The best Uhaul and staff I've ever rented from. Merci.

I moved from Florida to Texas using a U-box and my entire experience was delightful from start to finish. I was able to take my time packing in Florida. Communication with the U-haul staff was excellent. The driver who dropped off my U-box was very professional and efficient . I felt the my items were in good care and safe keeping. Receiving tracking information made me even more comfortable with the move. This by far has been the best experience ever. I will highly recommend and plan to use this service again in the future.

We had previously purchased moving boxes, etc from this location and found the staff to be very helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. So it was a no brainer when we needed to rent a truck. We were not disappointed and would highly recommend this location.

The young lady that assisted me with getting my storage was not friendly at all. She had a condescending attitude. She didn't even instruct me on how to get to my storage. I drove around for 5 minutes before even finding it. It was inside a gate that she didn't even explain on how to get in or out. Then once I got my belongings in the storage, I drove back to the gate to exit. The key card she gave me didn't work. The only reason I was able to get in the gate was because another customer was leaving out of the gate. I had to sit there for about 5 minutes until I finally got someone on the phone to help me. A guy had to come down to open the gate to let me out. Now, my experience with checking in the truck was with a guy and he was amazing. He apologized about the gate and was so friendly to me while checking in the truck. There was also a lady that was friendly as well when I first got there but I didn't interact with her much but she was very welcoming.

The gear shift lever didn't work and the pads I ordered weren't in the truck. Also, the truck was backed up to a tree and I wasn't able to unlock the lock. I arrived at 7:45pm to get the mobile pick up and had to wait until 8:45am for someone to show up and give me the pads. Extremely unprofessional. Ive ordered a lot and have never experienced this lack p

Rented truck to move storage unit on Saturday night. Loaded truck got ready to move truck to new house and the headlights would not work. Check all the usual suspects and still no headlights. So had to call and U haul extended rental till morning. In the morning though I no longer had help to unload. So the delay really caused a simple move to become a huge headache. When I dropped off truck I told them the issues and they really couldn't have cared less. Not even a sorry our truck had a major safety issue and couldn't be used at night. Do better U-Haul!

I selected mobile pickup and when I went to pick up my truck nothing was assigned for my reservation. I had to call truck share 24/7 and get something else and had to settle for a smaller truck. Very disappointed with the interaction.

I stopped by to get a Dolly Person who was on desk asked me two phone number and I said that's not normal. I was talking to customer service guy on the desk. A lady passed by and behaved extremely rude and unfriendly saying some unusual things. She might be the manager or owner I do not know. She has extremely bad attitude. This type of people does not deserve thumbs up. There is always a way to talk. She is neither dealing with me nor she approached to me nicely.

1.) Cleaning lady needs an attitude adjustment. She made me wait approx. 2 minutes to get in the main office area to conduct business as a paying customer. 2.) After completing transaction, the cleaning lady who is always angry towards Black Americans, made me wait almost 4 minutes to exit the main office area while I stood behind her taking her (attitude filled sweet time), cleaning the door, almost 4-minute wait. 3.) While keeping my cool about the previous TWO situations and other prior situations since 2015 as a customer, caused by this cleaning person, I continued loading my truck at the dock. 4.) This same cleaning lady who (Speakes no English), decides to shake her cleaning broom-mop on the dock right behind where I was organizing items in the back of the truck thrusting dust in on me. Mind you, she didn't shake it out off to the side or off the dock - this was on the dock right behind my truck, I let her slide the time as well. This same cleaning person comes back for a second time - shakes out more Dirt and Debrie onto the dock getting it all over me and my items in the back of the truck. I then lost it yelling at her to stop, another customer who was Black, tried to stop her politely, THIS ILLEGAL ALIEN CLEANING LADY POKES HER TONGUE OUT AT THE OTHER PERSON AND MYSELF. I then go to the office and report this to the GM (Anita Perry) in front of customers and her entire staff, Anita makes light of the situation, and nothing happens to this rude ass person for her aggression. Good help is hard to find as she and I discussed. UNBELIEVABLE IN MY COUNTRY!!! The GM then blocks me from completing a REVIEW by leaving out pertinent required data which stops the submission of a review from being submitted

This was my first time renting a storage unit and this facility made the entire process more than easy. From getting the the correct size unit to closing my account the staff was knowledgeable and efficient. As well as incredibly friendly. I would highly suggest renting anything from this facility!

The storage unit was perfect. It was easy to access and the facility is well lit and clean. The bathrooms are kept in excellent condition also. The staff were helpful and attentive if I needed anything. We have used U-Haul @ LosRios for many years to rent trucks for our local & long distance moves and they always are great to work with.

1. Units infested with rats 2. Manager Anita is the worst manager I have seen. Instead of caring & apologizing. She came to the unit and was yelling in a terrible & vulgar way. Then her boyfriend showed up and blocked my suv with his big truck! 3. We never ever had any such miserable experience in our whole entire life! 4. Definitely will not recommend to anyone at all. As we checked out of ALL units we had there, Assistant Manager Ron was so apolgitic, respectful and extended excellent customer service.

When I moved in June 2022, staff was not very friendly. Staff was aware that I'd driven ten hours to arrive at this location. The first card that I was provided was for an indoor heated and cooled unit. However, card did not work to open the doors. Staff was slow assisting with this issues in 106 degree heat, JUNE IN PLANO TEXAS. I was told hours later that the unit that was available was an outdoor unmonitored unit. Ok, fine. Drive to this unit and there's a dead rodent at the door. This staff member saw this before we did, apologized and assigned a new unit infestation free. Upon moving out, It was difficult. I went to the desk to notify staff that I was moving out only to be told to take a picture of the empty cleaned out unit and come back to the desk to display the picture that the unit was cleaned out. I am happy to "move out" of this storage unit. Staff was not pleasant, not friendly and a manager never apologized for the issues experienced during these encounters.

When the key broke in my lock I was offered no assistance. I was told I could hire a locksmith or if I cut the lock pay a 100 fee. The lock was a U-Haul lock. You should have a master key on site.

I would highly recommend U-Haul and their services to all. The staff in E Plano have been friendly, have answered all my questions, and have demonstrated professionalism. The facility is very clean and organized and I know my personal belongings will be safe.

I moved out on 8/7/23 nobody input it into the computer I moved then again I several days later stating I moved my washer and dryer out of the storage unit and they didnt input it into the computer now they are billing me.

Summary of experience across seven years: 1) The rate increases were ridiculous. You'd think that U-haul would have some sort of "customer loyalty" rate (instead of rate increases), but no, my rates went up twice - without notice. 2) My locks were challenged TWICE, without notice. In the first case, I was out of town living in Seattle, and couldn't do anything immediate about my lock, though I was pressed to. In the second case, I arrived at the facility and found a lock had been added. When I went into the office, I was told by the inept personnel "We've been trying to get ahold of you...." BULL. Nobody told me anything and then I am patronized by them reading off some ridiculous script, taking no accountability. I would not recommend this location to anyone; the crew is irresponsible. Anita was NEVER any help, never offering any communication or resolve on these issues, even though I'd contacted her. Given that U-haul is meticulous about most everything (good grief, I got two phone calls about 12 pads that I was using, with customer service checking in on me), the Los Rios location is NOT representative of U-haul ethic. For the money I spent, you'd think that the service would be equal. I was more than happy to end this relationship and finally walk away.

Anita Perry by far is an incredible General Manager providing superior customer service. I'd rather not go into the lengthy Uhaul debacle, but I can tell you that Anita, Ron and Hailey along with Anita's assistant manager(can't remember her name) truly stop everything to ensure I was taken care of. Ron affirmed Anita is by far the best GM he has ever worked for, and I totally believe him. There are still a few upcoming events to tackle and am going those go smooth with Anita and her team. For now, I am grateful that Anita and her team and I have crossed paths.

On the day of my rent being due they locked my storage like I was going to move out without paying or something. I did not like being treated that way at all. That has never happened to me before in all my years of using storage facilities. When I rent the trucks they seem to be not properly maintained by the fact that I live exactly 1 mile from the facility but when I brought the truck back they told me I used more miles than 2 and that's absurd. It costs too much money storing my things there with the poor service being given and I will not use this location or maybe any location again. I grew up with my family using uhaul and to be an adult now and this is the trouble I have is sad. Then when I closed my storage they kept calling me acting like I didn't tell anyone I closed my storage and it looks like I got charged but I'm not paying anything. This company needs to clean out the trash and improve customer service. One of the mangers was up there in booty shorts. Very inappropriate for the work place. I'm done with this place.

Due to the above issue, we reserved a 26 ft truck and an rv storage unit at Plano. Upon reservation, the traffic Scheduler informed me the 1st month of the rv storage unit will be free. The day of check in, I had to pay and when I spoke to Anita, she informed she will need to pull the transcript of the conversation in order to prove that I'm not lying. Very distasteful. Also our rv unit was occupied, so uhaul Plano had to direct us to a different unit #.

We moved our things into this storage facility until October 1, 2021. We were scared when we pulled the door down and walked away from 75 % of our household treasures. We had heard judged some ugly stories about experiences of family, fr. iends and acquaintances, but we had no other choice. This was to be short term, three to six months and it was a distance from athe apartment we had rented, My wife is on Essex with cleanliness and organization and she was pleased of how clean th facility was maintained. Due to extenuating circumstances we used the facility for nineteen months. In all that time we never experienced any problems with the facility or employees. It was always spotless, never was our unit tampered with, our automatic withdrawals were never a problem. We moved into our new home three days ago and the boxes we had stored were clean, no dust at all and everything we moved into the unit came out of the unit. We hope to be in our new home forever and we won't need to put our things in storage, but if we did we would use U-haul storage with o hesitateion and we would recommend this facility.

I was talking to someone on the phone a day prior to reservation and I had asked about the renting of a storage unit with a uhaul truck and if I'll be able to get the free first month storage discount with the truck rental. They told me yes. When I went in person I was told I could not get the first month free because I was a prior renter. This caused me to get upset because I was not made aware of this prior to going in person. I rented a truck and a storage, why is there not a discount for bundling. The open storage area isn't paved and is often muddy for a long time after rains. In the summer it's very dusty and power is only available a few hours a day. While your facility is more convenient for me, I moved my RV to a storage lot that is fully paved and provides 24 hour power even though it cost more.

It's difficult to be clean when RV's are parked on dirt/clay/rocks so when it rains it is dirty mud. When dry, the wind blows dust. I am sorry U-Haul does not have a paved facility like this in Denton, Texas. Mrs. Anita Perry is extrodinary !

Becca hung up on me during a call because I was confused and was trying to understand what she was telling me. I am a person with a disability. I called back and said I didn't appreciate her hanging up on me and she said she didn't appreciate me "arguing" with her and started trying to lecture me. I told her I was not arguing. Her behavior was very rude and unprofessional which led me to decide to cancel my rental and take my business elsewhere. I was also planning to rent a moving truck and trailer from this location but after this experience decided to take my business elsewhere. Very disappointed with my experience.

The website directed me to go directly to the unit using an access code and a lock would be inside the unit for my use. None of this was true. Still has to check in with the office staff who were very helpful, efficient and friendly.

There were issues with how much I was charged. There were issues with the pick up location not being able to assign the drop off location I needed. I was charged thousands more than was disclosed to me and uhaul didn't own up to their mistakes and their employees telling me different things. Also, uhaul has some pretty unscrupulous movers that work with them through moving help. We're we're mistreated and had stuff stolen. So yes the storage facility I used was clean and well lit but the customer service and overall experience was awful. I not only do not recommend uhaul but I share the experience I had with others sot why are aware they could potentially be overcharged by thousands and uhaul will lie and not take responsibility.

A woman by the name R Jarrod was not friendly to say the least. Her tone of speaking was rude. Her explanation of rules were very demanding. The whole process was bad. At the end she just handed me the papers and the card and left me to find my way to the storage space and try the card. When I went to the machine the card did not work with the machine and after finding my storage and rolling up the gate, I found the inside of the storage dirty and a rolling metal gate inside. I had to come back and when I came back there was no one to speak to I waited around, went outside to the repair shop to see if anyone was there. After about 10 to 15 minutes a person with blue sweatshirt no name badge came in. I told him about the storage being dirty and he texted on his phone and told me that it will be clean. When I went back there were three people by the storage and no one said anything like they were sorry or anything. This is not good.

The air conditioning was not on where my unit was 2468. It was on near the elevator but hotter near my unit. The truck I used on 7/23 was disgusting. Not cleaned at all. Thank God I only needed it to travel a couple miles. I would not rent from this location ever again. And I would not recommend it either

I have never used storage before and I was surprised at how well thought out everything was. The worker showed me where my actual unit was demonstrated how do use my security card to get in the best place to park to unload etc. The unit for extremely clean and check in and out was simple and quick. I reserved a small unit online after driving down a 26ft one-way from Colorado. I cannot say enough about how awesome the staff was here!! Incredibly helpful staff, seamless quick easy process, and I even misjudged how much furniture I had and ended up needing a larger unit. Without a blink of an eye, the staff transitioned us to a larger unit. They were able to make everything happen and it was such a stress free process during such a stressful time. 10/10 recommend!!!

Took about an hour to book the unit. Once they gave me the card to swipe to gain entry into climate controlled storage, the cards access was denied. Was later told to drive back to the office area to establish a 6 digit code. Done. Drove back to the climate controlled unit, swiped the card at both electronic devices- ACCESS DENIED. Rep comes down and opens the door with her card. Unload Uhaul truck and venture to find my climate controlled unit. My unit was in fact NOT climate controlled nor in that building but behind the building. Load the Uhaul back up and drive to the correct t outdoor uncontrollable climate storage room to find a dead rodent at the entry door. Sit there, in PLANO HEAT, for another 20 minutes until I'm assigned another unit. I was not offered any apologies from management. I hope to store my things here TEMPORARILY. I would not recommend this establishment at all.

Experience wasn't great. I didn't realize it wasn't a gated facility. I decided to do a move out three days after paying for my unit because I needed something gated. They informed me I couldn't be reimbursed and was then accused multiple times of having put a lock on the unit. Literally had to argue with the person I spoke with about it. I was 100 % sure I had not put a lock in the unit. They figured out that they had actually rented me someone else's unit. Still no refund of any sort. No apologies. Just a move out receipt. Not a great experience. Won't use this location again.

You had my credit card on file from my truck rental but didn't charge it for the storage unit until I called you. Got hit with a late fee. You changed my padlock with a code lock without notifying me, resulting in a missed shipping appointment that I had to pay to reschedule. Your employees haven't been very helpful in dealing with most anything.

I secured storage at this facility based on the fact it had electricity and water as well as a dump station and access to LP. The water was broken, and the electric is toggled. Back gate was open 75 % of the time I was there. Definitely not worth the price they are charging!

My experience with the staff at the U-Haul facility was excellent. We had issues with the mover helpers hired to help unload the truck; however this is outside the scope of the excellent staff and experience at this U-Haul location .

I am overall neutral on my experience with this storage unit. I rented online and the process was smooth. The online process said there would be a lock already in the unit which was important to me because I was moving in at 5am and the office wasn't open for me to buy a lock. The lock was not inside the unit so I had to leave my unit and all possessions unlocked. I did however have an issue with the gentleman who was hanging out in the halls of the facility at 5am. I felt unsafe. Unfortunately for me I had a flight to catch and had no choice but to move my stuff in so I could catch my flight and return to work. From the airport I called the facility and was told they are aware of the gentleman I mentioned and although "he is weird he is harmless". That is their words, not mine. If I had more time I probably would not have stayed with this facility.

The service received was great. We needed quick storage with accessible size. The tight hallways and having to use the elevator made it difficult to move all our items in, thus we had to seek storage elsewhere. Accessibility was reviewed and discussed before renting this space, and up sizing was an option with prorated credit for unused time to add a unit. I did not ask about early termination and the possible prorated refund. Having used the unit for less than two weeks I would have thought a prorated credit would have been given. Plus a possible penalty fee. The 10x15 unit cost $216.13, which included a $15 word lock. Rough estimate I still had a value of $106 of unused rent. If not all of the $106, at least a good portion of it should have been refunded. The unit was left clean and usable as the first day I moved in. I would have appreciated being told upfront that there was no refund for early termination having expressed my concerns of accessibility upfront. Bruce A

The moment I walked in I was politely greeted, and given assistance by Rebecca with my storage rental. My options were explained and a tour of the unit was given to be sure that it would work for my needs. I purchased a WORD lock so not to have to keep up with another key, and a 24hr access to meet my schedule needs. I locked out my unit and left. We started our move in at 8:30 pm which is after hours and for whatever reason I couldn't get my lock to open. I called the after hours phone number and Anita and crew were there to assist in less than 30 minutes. I was highly thankful and impressed with this quality of service. I will recommend this facility to anyone I come in contact with in need of storage space.

It was frustrating that y'all raised the rate of my unit. Luckily I only had to pay that for a few month. Also when I started my lease the checking into the unit process was not explained very well by that staff My most recent move out process went well and that staff seemed to be better this time around Luckily this unit was close to my home so it served its need.

Great location. Good price. Opening the gate using a FOB is a great feature. Extremely limited access to electricity (two hours per day) is a significant problem for maintaining RV batteries using trickle chargers. The gravel drive and heavy commercial traffic keeps my RV covered in thick white powder. First class RV dump site, but why no water hose to clean up? Annoying to say the least. The recent effort to clean up stored junk is an appreciated improvement- but it's still pretty junky.

The only problem was the electric. When it got cold last year we had to bring our motor home to our house so we could keep it plugged in and warm. You need to allow more time for electric use. Our battery died a couple times because we could not plug it in long enough to keep the charge.

También para completar el Truck se quedó sin batería 10:30pm y enviaron ayuda dentro de 60-75 minutos la demora (resolví yo) por que la ayuda no llegó a tiempo larga espera. Basado a esta experiencia califico el servicio soy honesta. Antes no había tenido este tipo de experiencia, deben estar al pendiente de lo que busca su cliente, revisar la transacción antes de finalizar el proceso y de esta forma evitar errores con los clientes. Deberían mejorar el servicio en la calle, ya que a la hora de rentar truck añadimos un seguro $$ para servicio en la calle etc… un servicio que brilló por su ausencia. Esta información se la hice saber al personal en la oficina, espero esto ayude a mejorar la calidad de servicio.

I reserved a 10 x 20 online weeks in advance. I showed up to the facility the day before move in to check in and complete any paperwork. Only to find out that this location did not have 10 x 20 and we would be receiving two 10 x 10 next to each other. When we show up to move in the next day they give us (4) 5 x 10 . This ended up being such an inconvenience as the units were so tight it made it very difficult to stack our items. We ended up having to buy another unit due to this. If I would have been informed prior to what we were actually getting the day before when we checked in I would have choose a closer unit to the house. I choose this location as it had what it advertised we needed. Very unhappy with this location about happened and I feel the staff basically lied to us about what we were getting and knew we would be getting the 5 x 10 the day we were moving in.

The only issue I had with this location was the person whom number is posted around the property never answered the phone and I was having issues with the doors. Hopefully the doors will get fixed or I am giving an access code. I was told those were no longer being used as of last month.

We set up our rental for auto pay each month. The first month we got a late notice on the day it was due along with a late charge. Simultaneously, they also reached out to the emergency contact person we were required to provide upon leasing the unit. When we called and asked what happened to the auto pay we set up, the agent checked on it. We got a half-hearted "oops…I guess the paperwork was never put into the system." All that…including bothering our contact…because of THEIR mistake. Each time we have needed to get questions answered, it's like seeing a deer in the headlights…confusion and lack of knowledge. After all of that, when we couldn't get a reputable moving company to help before the end of one month of rental but got everything out the first day of a new rental month, U-Haul wouldn't give us any kind of a pro-rated rental. They demanded a full month's rent for a few hours. We were out by noon. While moving out, we could hear another hugely dissatisfied customer arguing about how he had carried out his end of the agreement but U-Haul hadn't kept up their end. 路‍♀️ We won't be using the U-Haul at 1100 Los Rios in Plano TX ever again.

I made a reservation for a unit online only to find out when I arrived that online reservations don't mean anything. Instead of being helpful, the employees that we spoke with told us, "There's nothing we can do. You need to take it up with whoever made the website." I asked if they had any units available, something that they should have offered me, and they told me that I could probably make due with one unit that was slightly smaller. I went to the unit and realized that there was no way that my things would fit. I went back to the office and they gave me two small units that were about the size of the unit that I originally wanted. When I drove back over to check them out, one of them was locked. I drove back to the office and was told that they needed to contact the person who was currently occupying the unit. I told them to call me when they figured it out. I waited for 3 hours and called them as they were closing within the hour. They told me to come back and they would give me two other units. If you are considering this location, I advise you to store your items elsewhere to save yourself the headache.

With all the storage around those area you have a lot of choice to go to the different place but the stuff that makes a difference and they are not knowledgeable what they doing and not professional at all I’m going to give you example they try to check me in for getting a U-Haul truck and people come and ask them to clock in all day talking on the personal phone or dare just really rude and they have to go back and forth to ask a question and that’s not right and A professional at all

This location is well managed with helpful staff (in my opinion). I always feel safe and that my belongings are safe. There are "working" alarms, and cameras are everywhere. They make pest control a priority. The building is always clean and well maintained, and carts were always available when needed, at no charge. The ONLY a negative is that sometimes the loading/unloading area is not unavailable. The cars parked there are unattended (sometimes with sunshades are up in the windshield), so clearly NOT loading/unloading). It just needs to be monitored and enforced a little better so patrons have better access and KNOW to park in spaces on the lot if they are going to be inside the facility for an extended time.

Though the staff was friendly, the overall experience was less than stellar. Almost every time I went, one of the gates was stuck open (lack of security). I kept getting calls from management telling me I had crates delivered to me(?????). My AUTOMATIC BILLING somehow got messed up and because my account was a few day late MY BROTHER IN NH received a notice of delinquent account in my name! My space kept having other people park in it and was changed three times in one day. Too many headaches for just a parking space.

To be honest I had an awful experience with the manager at this location on 8/6/21 as she tried to CHARGE me for a Day of rental service that I did NOT USE because I was returning the truck within the allotted time frame! Actually 20 minutes earlier as well as VOID the INSURANCE policy that I purchased. She stated that the insurance DOES NOT COVER the BODY of the truck nor the tires or overhead and I was wondering what did it cover she failed to tell me that but she presented almost $400 worth of charges to me and I had to dispel everyone of them because I purchased the insurance that she did not understand. I scraped the skirt on the truck which would have been the eighth noted damaged spot on the truck that was rent d to me because the rest of had claims stickers due to being covered by the insurance policy…. But in my instance the policy was going to be VOID if I did not pursue the manager for CORRECTING her mistake. She tried to humiliate me in front of her staff and customers…. However she only highlighted the fact that she was ignorant to her role and the description of her duties as well as the products that U-Haul sells

We moved from Michigan to Texas. We made a reservation for a storage 10x15x9 and when we have arrived, the storage WAS NOT available. They truck was due on 8/2/21. We were moving a 3bedroom home. They offered 4 storage units of 10x5. These DID not work. The storages were too small for our belongings to fit. This pushed the moved in back a day. They also explained that there was nothing else they could do. We were able to locate a storage the following day in Plano on N central parkway. When we arrived he told us that the storage we selected could not be used for the "one month free" and that we had to pay for it. So, with the truck being due on 8/2/21 at 9am, we were not able to have it back in time. It was all such an inconvenience. This is the SECOND unpleasant experience I have had with U-HAUL. We've used you guys twice to move across country and it's been a problem EVERY time. I tried reaching out to customer service several times and the GM from where we picked up our rental, but I was not able to get the problem solved. We had to pay for the storage that was promised to us FREE $170. This was in fact NOT in the budget. We also had to pay for gas as well due to having the U-Haul longer and having to drive. It's been a horrible experience each time. I would not recommend!

Difficult to ever reach a human in the office on the phone. The computer system often messes up billing. Even on auto-pay I have been sent late notices and late fees applied. I got such a case even after closing my account both online and in the office. This notice even says my closing date was 7/11, but it was closed 7/5 and verified closed on that date in the office! That tells me in took your system 6-days to close the account which then put me past due on 7/8. Other than that, my climate controlled space was kept clean. Another irritating item is the horribly loud alarm going off almost every time I was in my space working, even though I checked in and out properly.

I'd say above average for the price and proximity to my home, but far from excellent. The RV parking has issues: the gravel lot is soupy in some slots which will rot tires. Consider adding gravel to get it above the dampness and mud. The limited access to electricity, is disappointing and unusual. It's best for the RV to remain on a trickle charger - it takes very little power. There's quite a bit of trash/junk that appears to spill over into neighboring pads. No one seems to be enforcing any rules. I suspect the 1 free month offer attracts less desirable short term tenants. A couple of false starts - the initial site given to me had a car parked in it and the ground was wet and soft. Back to the office. Got a new site, but this one had the electrical box locked, so no power. Tried to call 3 times, but know one answered. Back to the office again. Another 15 minute wait. Staff was courteous and mostly knowledgeable, but they were understaffed to handle the Friday morning load. (I'd hate to see what Saturday looks like.)

1012 unit was clean. Unit door has outside scratches and damages around door and door guide rails rubber cushion comes off of metal rails as door is opened and closed. This is a minor issue of just having to raise the door and pressed the rubber cushion back onto the railing after opening and closing the door.

Several times we found the gate wide open and when reporting this, the office staff was quite aggravated with having to deal with a report of something they needed to fix. The dump station never had running water to enable clean out of RV tanks. Dump station was not designed for us as the lack of level made it useless.

The only compliant issue I have was during move-out, after checking-in & opening my units; when I close the door while I cart a load out to my truck and return, it sets off the alarm when I open the unit door again to get another load. Two of my 3 units were located immediately next to an alarm speaker which is so loud it caused a ringing in my ears especially after having to make numerous trips to unload my units. When I'm checked-in to the facility, my units' doors shouldn't trigger an alarm until after I check-out when no one should be opening the doors on my locked down units.

This facility needs a new manager. Nicole is a very nasty and rude person. She should not be in a manager at all. I will never recommend anyone to this location as long as she is there. The facility and uhaul truck rental was great. Perfect size for what I needed. They man that helped with my reservations was really great. The day I actually picked up the truck the staff was not super professional and were having personal conversations instead of explaining the process. It was my first time renting a uhaul so I had a lot of questions, but they seemed distracted.

I would definitely recommend U-Haul East Plano for moving and storage. I have rented trucks and trailers from them on multiple occasions and their customer service was always top notch. The rental process was simple and easy to engage with. The staff was very knowledgeable and responsive to any questions I had. The storage facility is extremely clean and they have onsite cleaning.

My climate controlled unit on the second level was usually hot due to the window right next to it. If there were a way to do away with certain windows or to add additional shade would be nice.

Unsatisfied with communication for UBOX shipment was told during delivery/email different info. I had to find where and when my shipment could be sent. Driver was 2 hours late with delivery.

I believe you should pro-rate any unused days when a unit is emptied. I was expecting some refund. There is too much competition from other storage facilities. I will research them next time.
