Jenina YoungI've been charged twice. I've repeatedly called and it hasn't been fixed. First I was overcharged,, they made up the mileage and added 20 miles to my total. Then they "fixed" the issue by recharging me and not deleting the overcharge. They are pleasant and laid back but efficient and accurate is more important when dealing with people's money. I'm going to have to go through my credit card company which is inconvenient and a hoop too many.

JOHN BISKUPSKIWanted to rent pickup truck for 3 days and was informed that they don't do that? Inquired if that was corporate policy? "No, it's my policy, I'm the general manager" There are no signs indicating such. I was put off by this along with push back as I continued to try to reason why this was. Got the answer that "he doesn't make any money if he rents out for any length of time". Which sounds like his problem... not mine. I eventually got rental for two days. GM really acted like a 'dick'... You might need to remind him that he is the face of U-Haul... and how his actions reflect upon how U-Haul is perceived in marketplace. Truck was immaculate, facility clean, process easy, location convenient, price excellent... but customer service erased all that.

ROBERT ZDONI have used U-Haul in the past for serious moves, multiple stops, back and forth, etc. This was the first time I needed a truck, locally for a few hours, what a simple process and the local Guilford facility made it so easy! I wouldn't hesitate to do it again!

Richard WillowThe customer service is severely lacking. The staff doesn't even walk you out to the vehicle. I has to walk around and find it among dozens of vehicles in the lot. They didn't check the gas level with me just told me to click the link and enter info. For someone who doesn't rent here regularly, it felt like they didn't care and just give you a key and tell you to be on your way. When we returned the vehicle, the employee was talking on his phone while inspecting the vehicle an so didn't k ow when he was speaking to me vs. The person on the phone. Unprofessional.

I was moving and he was especially helpful to see that I got all the boxes and other supplies I needed. Then he helped me to the car with my purchases. That manager is no longer working in this particular location. When I went in most recently, preparing for another move, the staff was disinterested in my presence, did not acknowledge my arrival until I went to them to ask for help. There were no other customers in the store. The staff were all behind the desk sitting and talking. As I was waiting for someone to speak with me, the new manager was bragging about his success, and how wonderful he had done in improving the "numbers". He went on saying how he improved this particular location in a very short time and they are now top ranked. In my opinion, I would rank the service one 1 of 10 at most. - not one person came to greet me when I arrived, - when I went for help I had to wait as they were having this particular discussion - When I asked questions, the answers were brief and unclear, - I had to ask for someone to come and show me, please. - I paid for my items and carried a large stack of boxes to my car without any offer of assistance while multiple staff sat behind the desk with no other customers in the store. This would never have happened under the previous manager and staff who he managed. They were always attentive, interested in my needs, and ready to assist in anyway possible. Frankly, the numbers make no difference with this type of poor service unless all U-Haul cares about is the bottom line. I hope this comment is taken and used to make improvements. Everyone can learn and everyone should have a chance to correct their mistakes.

However, everyone I've talked to there is nice and as helpful as they can be and I have appreciated all their help even though a few aggravating problems went unresolved for a very long time.

Their hours are convenient and they are open on Sunday. Available at this location are moving trucks and and a new clean indoor storage facility. Also available here are a variety of different size boxes, and other moving and storage supplies. This is my go-to Uhaul location.

I completed an online reservation well in advance and after we load up our entire home into a truck, we get to a storage unit and the man at the desk tells me he doesn't think he has a unit available. After telling him I reserved a 10x10x10 online, he said people who walk in the door get first come first serve basis. At 5 pm and all other storage options closed at this point, we were quite upset with the fact they gave our storage unit away to someone else. Thankfully the guy came back and said he had a 10x10x8 but I was still going to be charged the same rate. Because we were so tired we just took the unit. There were barely any dollys to use. We had to borrow someone else's since we were now on the second floor. Needless to say, once I take my things out of the unit, I don't know that I will use uhaul again. Expensive and unreliable.

We had to store our entire two-bedroom apartment for less than a month, therefore we chose two units of 10*10*8 size. Our units were on the second floor but the building had multiple furniture dollies that you can use in the elevator, so it was easy and fast. We chose this location because it was secure/ climate controlled/ accessible. Additional information: -staff was always nice -the building has electronic card access -we got the locks for both of our units free of charge -the times we visit our units, the building was always clean -the bathrooms were clean -loading and unloading zone was very convenient and easy to access

It appeared that Covid-19 protocols were observed by all staff members each time we visited. We used our storage locker as a temporary holding spot during our move from former to new residences in Guilford. The range of supplies available at the store gave us what we needed to protect belongings during the move. We'd certainly use the Guilford facility again when and if we needed it. We're also glad that UHaul found a way to fully utilize the former automobile dealer facility, thereby avoiding further community and zoning controversy that erupted when initial plans for a multi-story building resulted in local neighborhood resistance. Guilford and UHaul both came out ahead on this one! Jeff Freeman

U-Haul is a great example of how large retailers and small towns can co-exist.

Overall a good experience with the manager being well informed and helpful. I certainly would recommend your facility to my friends. The one thing I was vexed about was having to provide a backup name that had a different address than mine. I was planning to use my wife as a backup person. I was told that wasn't possible because a couple had done that and they both died at the same time so there was no one to notify ,presumably when the monthly bill was not paid. It seems that the probability of simultaneous or near simultaneous deaths of a renter and his wife is quite low and therefore there shouldn't be that requirement of a different address.
