Yeah I rent a truck didn’t go far brought the truck at a little less than 7/8 and I am getting charged 50 dollars after I spent 90 do call the store about this or talk to customer support

john rMake sure there is equipment to rent. We reserved a larger truck and appliance dolly. When we went to pick up, the truck was smaller and there were no appliance dollys left. That was a huge inconvenience for us. We had to have the truck for almost 12 hours longer than we would have, had the correct stuff been available that we reserved. This is why I am only giving 3 stars.

Milton PChristina was the absolute worst customer service representative I've ever encountered. She was ready to refuse service to us because my friend had no renting experience and was unable to get a reliable emergency contact? Then when i originally offered to rent the truck myself was met with some serious aggression and was told that this would not help my friend in the future. She was not helpful at all during the process of renting the truck to me and was back and forth with helping her coworkers (at the time no other customers were in the building) she was extremely rude and unprofessional. I will not return to this location ever again.
JOSEPH DBefore selecting uhaul I wasn't sure what size I needed. I arrived at this location and staff gave me information and let me check out the trucks. I went with a 15 foot. When I arrived to pick up the uhaul, Uhaul POS system was down. The staff was friendly, funny, and extremely helpful as they helped me pick up the truck. Attentive, hard working and diligent are a few words I would use to describe them. The truck was clean, and the process was easy.
Thomas SI have to say that the service was A+1, the person who helped me hitch the trailer went beyond his duties to fix a problem with the towing wire in my vehicle . The person at the counter was very friendly, the transaction was very easy, I definitely recommend this place.

Luiggi RI came in at 7 am to rent a truck from this location and the female receptionist seemed to be in a bad mood as if she didn't want to be there. If only renting from this place once was what I did I could possibly see it being a bad day but I rented from this location two days in a row and she acted the same way both days. When asked how many hours I wanted to rent for I said until 5pm to which she responded, "we do it by hours, in a frustrated tone and then said, "I'm just going to put you down for 12 hours because I'm not doing the math". I don't know if she just isn't a morning person or just doesn't like her job. The customer before me asked her how her day was going to which she replied, "Terrible", and then didn't say anything else to the customer until she explained the agreement. I honestly don't take it personally that she was rude I just don't think people should be talked to like that when they come in for a service/product.

Jose GPicking up the trailer was a breeze. Very helpful employees. I immediately had a flat tire on the trailer but it was resolved very quickly and professionally. Dropping off the trailer was an entirely different experience. The location was to open at 7 am but the employee responsible didn't even arrive until 7:02 and then informed me and 1 other customer we would have to wait outside until she "got her store opened". She probably should have been there 10 minutes earlier. She seemed frustrated that the lot was congested and trailers weren't where she wanted them. She said I would have to wait until she moved some trailers around but when I protested she just unhooked it from my vehicle where I had parked it (which by the way was in the group with the other trailers.)

Jose CThe new hitch assembly was easy to place on the ball of the towing vehicle. However, U-haul should provide the 5/16 pin that goes through the hitch assembly as part of the rental to prevent the trailer from being unhitched from towing vehicle when parked overnight.

Barney HThe Katy location required WAYYYY too much that the other UHauls we have used never did. It just caused the pick up process to take longer than expected. The other location for drop off was suppose to be open till 8pm and they were close around 445pm. Their key drop box doesn't even have a label and the whole return process took so long and just wasn't good. Never would use either locations again.

For some reason when I scanned my access card and then opened up my unit, the alarm tripped. Not sure why because the card reader said, "Welcome back Mark, access granted." I moved my things out with out any further incident. The auto payment really helped me while I was tracking bills for 2 houses in 2 different states.

Her personality and attention to detail made me feel so comfortable. I met her on Thursday and hoped when I scheduled to come back Saturday, she would be there because we ended up making last minute decisions. She is the best. I just found out she is the General Manager, and I am NOT surprised. I am still in AWE on how she made everything happen in MINUTES, I mean minutes. We left our key home, went to get it, came back, and everything was ready for us to unpack and go since we had an Ubox. The team around her was also very nice, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. I am blessed to live close to this location, and I hope to pop back inside to say hello!!!

I was disappointed with experiencing miscommunication regarding auto payment for my shipment. And when I originally reserved the storage online 11.5.23 my next monthly payment reflect 1.6.24 but when I arrived in person and upgraded the next payment was for 12.6.23. I have spent too much with doing business at UHaul for this to happen upon my arrival as a first time customer.

Due to the population around the facility that worried me sometimes however, sadly prior to moving out, I discovered that the unit I was renting was not up to standard, and due to heavy rains that had not occurred during my lease half of my items were destroyed by water. These items included household furniture, furnishings, clothing, and shoes. The other items that were in paper boxes, if they were not destroyed, severe mildew and mold.

Finally had to show up in person to get it closed out. Apparently they had the unit already cleaned out, a new lock placed on it but someone forgot to press 'submit' to close out.

They provided a storage unit, on the 3rd floor, wayyyyyy to the back. I asked if they had anything closer near the elevator and she advised that's all they had.. when I got to the 3rd floor with my first load, immediately off of the elevator were green tags for available units leading to the back of the bldg where my storage unit was. So she in fact lied about availability. And it's supposed to be climate controlled, no air was circulating, through out the bldg, nor the elevator. I didn't even bother going back to the office because I had already driven 15 hrs from FL. Neglecting to mention I couldn't even return my vehicle in at the same facility where my storage unit was reserved. Uhaul sent me 15 min out the way to return my vehicle.

I called and spoke to representative who told me that I could not gain access until the next morning at 8:00 AM due to the sliding door closing promptly at 5:00 PM on Sunday. Therefore, I had to leave all my personal belongings in the hall on the second floor because I was not able to get back inside the building to secure my items and lock the unit. An employee should have provided a tour of the property and showed how to properly utilize the sliding door and the after hours man door that nobody said anything about. Worst experience ever renting a storage. When I called this morning, another representative told me that I could access my unit from 5 AM until 10 PM! The inconsistencies of information provided on access times and lack of customer service in showing me how to use the key card to access the building are my issues and concerns.

This was an unexpected storage and move of items for a business trip that I was on in Katy TX and I had to fly out in a few hours, so I was in an extreme time constraint. The gentleman on the phone was very helpful, gave me rates, secured a truck, etc. I explained that I would be there in 20 minutes and he had everything for the truck ready. Upon arriving to the location I was handed off to a blonde lady whom I verified that although I was given a 3rd floor storage unit that they had an elevator. She said they had an elevator and I signed all the documents for the storage unit as well. I then left to grab the pallet of materials that I was putting in the storage unit. 30 minutes later I came back to the storage place and was told that, although there is an elevator, that it was broken and I would have to carry everything up to the 3rd floor. I asked the blonde lady why she said that there is an elevator when it's broken and she said "because we do have an elevator". She immediately developed an attitude when I explained that I cannot possibly carry everything by myself up 3 floors (some of the things I'm storing weigh over 500lbs). I explained I'm on a time constraint, that I explained that in person and on the phone and I don't appreciate being mislead and lied to. She then told me to stop raising my voice (I have laryngitis and cannot talk without attempting to talk loudly), that she's not lying, that they DO have an elevator (whether it's actually working apparently is a non-issue to her) and that instead of trying to find another location with adequate storage or being proactive in any way, she said I'm not welcome anymore and she's canceling my storage unit. I had to ask twice for proof that it's cancelled, she yells at me that she's canceling it, grabs the paperwork out of my hand, tears it up and throws it away. In addition to the wasted time, soaking wet conditions, having to unpack and repack the truck, this individual was the rudest, most unpleasant person I've had the pleasure of dealing with in years. Under no circumstances would I employ her and I hope she never deals with another customer again. So instead of using this location I simply went next door, had an incredibly pleasant experience there, paid more for the unit but it was totally worth it. This blonde "manager" is going to ensure that the storage place next door is a successful business for as long as she's employed at your company. Until then I'll never use uhaul again for personal or business purposes.

A discount on storage would have been nice. When we were ready to empty the storage unit, the elevator was broken. We had to wait another two weeks to be able to come back and empty the storage unit because that is when our help was available. We think it is wrong that rental is not prorated.

Jessica L | Expérience généraleThe after hours door stopped working after I signed up for the unit. I came to retrieve some items one night and couldn't access my unit. There wasn't a note posted to indicate the door was broken. I called every number posted outside the door, including the General Manager. As of the date and time of this comment, I have not received a call back from the GM. Someone called me and said that they told me the after hours door was not working when I signed up; however, I have no recollection of being told this, I didn't sign anything acknowledging I was told (and I wouldn't have signed up because I needed access after store hours) and there weren't any signs posted. Additionally I was able to access after hours once or twice after I signed up so, in my opinion, that supports my position that I was not informed about the door. The day after I wasn't able to access my unit, I got off work early to get to the office because I thought it was just a access card issue. That's when I was told the door wasn't working and no one had any idea when the door would be fixed. The staff recommended I contact the GM but of course that was useless because I'd already done so and hadn't received a response. I ended up submitting a customer action report (#3164929) and the GM still didn't have the courtesy to contact me. A different worker contacted me, stating what I outlined above. This was by far the worse experience I've ever had with any storage or moving service. I find value in Uhaul trucks but will never use a storage unit.

She abruptly said ( I am doing payroll I don't have time for you and the other girl is busy.) I asked her for a receipt and she said I should have done it online if I wanted that. I never received a confirmation from anyone my rental was checked in. When i told her the key only opened the passenger door she syed and said ( I got it loudly ). It was the rudest attitude. I was there by 7am. She should have had a kinder spirit

BRENDA Z | Premières impressionsThe only reason I say this is because the associate who made our contract was supposed to charge me for the 24 hour access, a mistake was made and it was not put on there. I had to return the 15 foot moving truck by 1:45 AM. We made it there just in time to unload and check the truck in. I tried to open the after hour door, it said sorry not in service. We attempted to call the GM many times, we had to sit out in 55 degree weather with our stuff sitting in the parking lot right out side the sliding door until someone came at 6:50 and opened the door for us to begin to load it into our unit. Our main issue was that no one would answer at the after-hour help number. Other than that it was great, the location is beautiful and very well maintained.

I felt uneasy going into the main office area because no one ever wore masks. I will have to think twice about storing with U-Haul in the future as I don't really understand why they don't pro-rate rent, that's money I could save, which is especially essential during these hard times. Oh well.
