He worked over the phone with his Boss Jack who was at home for the night to secure our reservation! Simply FANTASTIC CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE from this location . Thomas L | Premières impressionsWe went to return the trailer to where it was picked up at. The woman working at the time yelled at us stating that is not where it gets dropped off. We moved the trailer to where she said it went next to all the other trailers that were dropped off. She continued yelling and swearing at us while we were disconnecting the trailer that it's not the right spot to drop off the trailer. She stormed off back into the store. We got the trailer disconnected. I went to get the receipt for returning the trailer. She screamed at me to get out of the store. She called the Manager and the cops. We waited for the Manager to get there so we could get confirmation of the return of the trailer. The Manager apologized for her behavior and said it wasn't the first time this had happened. The woman working was rude and unfriendly the whole time we were there. She should not be working with customers if that is how she is going to treat people. We will not return to this business.
KEVIN SWhen picking up the truck I was dismayed that the reserved 24 hour rental had been shortened to accommodate another party. I should have been informed ahead of time. After returning the truck I was inadvertently charged for an empty gas tank and additional miles. I'm still waiting for these charges to be cleared from my credit card. No one is answering the phone at this location.

john pUpon making my reservation I also reserved a tow dolly. When I went to pick up the equipment I was told there were no tow dollys available. I had to leave my personal vehicle behind. Why do you have a reservation for something and then not have the equipment??? Then while driving cross country to Michigan, a 1 inch Arizona Brown Spider which are poisonous came crawling from the top of the windshield down towards the dashboard. I had to quickly pull over on a mountainous road and kill it to avoid being bitten. Upon turning in the vehicle at my Destination I asked the Uhaul employee if we were going to go over the vehicle together. He said no I don't need anything from you and I was on my way. I will Never use Uhaul again. Next time I will try Budget or Penski.

ann JEverything went very smooth, computers crashed shortly before I got there to pick up the trailer which took a little time to process , but it couldn't be helped and they were very gracious about the delay. Would certainly use there services again and would reccomend them to others.

Douglas RWas never able to use the vehicle due to breakdown in parking lot. Very disappointed I had to unload the dead truck, making the move twice as difficult. Maintain your vehicles, U Haul!
Kevin TI was allotted 173 miles for a 200 mile move. It was 166 miles from pickup location to drop off location. I was only given 13 miles extra and will be charged per mile. Someone in the company needs to work on their math skills.

The lights programmed to your movement in your unit and the regulated temperature makes your electronics alot safer as well. Loved this.ace.

Suzanne I15-ft truck was clean, but two times when I put my foot on the brake the engine revved like I had stepped on the gas which I had not. Informed staff member when I returned the vehicle. Also I think it would be a good idea for staff to verbally inform customer to return vehicle to "return area" and point that area out when customer comes and picks up the vehicle. Jack & Rob were pleasant and helpful. Michael (I think that was his name) had a bit of an attitude.

INGRID BUr Manistee U-haul storage facility is top-shelf storage. Drive-in bays. Inside storage for out of the weather to unload & load. 24/7 access w motion sensor lighting. Inside bathroom facilities. Key card to sign in/out. Very impressive. Been telling others what a great storage facility. + one free month unit rental w truck rental. Again.... Very impressive. Done Right

I rented a truck for 3 days returned it 1 one paid for 2 days, and I rented a storeg unit and only used it for 11 days and they wouldn't give back eny money on eather. So it's wrong as they renet the truck right away was hurred to get un loaded so they could re rent it and the storeg united it was left clean and they rented it out the next day. So they're keeping money that's not there's it could be pro rated and refunded back to the person who rented it. So I feel they r scamming pepole out of money.its wrong a d someone could do somthing about it ?.?.?.??.?.......??????? I rented the storeg unit for the month not daily
judy a | Expérience généraleThis location lacks a good selection of trucks. I could not rate the truck I rented as "Clean and Well Maintained". The inside of the windshield looked like it had been "cleaned" with a dirty mop, and this really impaired visibility when driving into the morning sun. The outside of the windshield was covered with bugs. A dirty windshield is a safety concern. The inside of the van body was clean. As to maintenance there was really no way to tell, but it did get me back and forth with no issues on my nearly 500 mile trip. The staff at the facility were friendly and attentive, and they are the reason I would recommend this location to a friend. I think the Manistee location has a lot of potential to be a great rental facility if the truck selection gets a lot better and the vehicles are much cleaner when you pick one up.

judy a | Premières impressionsI didn't receive any documentation that I turned in the truck. He didn't check mileage or gas tank level -I felt like I interrupted him on his phone. He literally walked up to the counter (from a back office) carrying his phone and held it upright as if he paused a game or something. He said I'd get an email receipt when he got time to do it -there was no one there besides us -I have yet to get the reciept.

Erica PEverything went very smoothly and equipment functioned well. Associate I worked with was professional and efficient.
LEE AA regional manager called to confirm this rental who was contrary and unprofessional. He said that someone would call 3 days before the rental, though it was already one day before. He asked 4 times if I could pickup at another location, and I said no. I explained that the Manistee location was blocks from my house and there were 5 trailers 5x9 trailers in the lot. He claimed they were all going out the next day. We need the same trailer twice in the next 2 weeks, had made those reservations, and he doubted we would get them. The man at the pickup location said he already had all 3 reservations and we are all set. This regional manager is not a good representative of UHaul.

mario g | Premières impressionsI called the number listed multiple times before reserving a unit but nobody ever answered and no voice mail ever picked up so that a message could be left. I reserved a unit online anyway as that seemed the only option. I was not given a unit number upon completion of credit card info, only told what to bring on "check in day". Called a few more times over the days between reserving and move in day, still no answer or vm option. The day prior to move in I got a text telling me it was move in day & if I downloaded and checked in on the app, I'd be given a free lock. I was not able to find how to do that. The next day- move in day, I went to the office to ask my questions. Worker was great though seemingly not informed. Owner/boss not there on weekends for more help. The unit size I ordered online wasn't known to employee as one that was an option at all, and the computer was about to charge me twenty dollars more a month than I'd agreed to online, although he did find it and made the necessary adjustments to accommodate the contract made online already. He knew nothing about a free lock offer but made it right by providing it regardless. He was amazing and helped me find the unit itself and asked me to come back during the week with my questions for the owner about potentially being double charged, etc. The facility was nice looking and I'm glad it's here despite the bumpy beginning we shared.

A burned out building? But as there was another trailer there and the address was correct I went ahead and left it.

mike l | Premières impressionsIt was the issue of the new employee using the corporate certificate that I had from Boeing to get equipment in order for me to move. We had to call a few places and he didn't know what place to call and I had to take care of it myself, in order to get the equipment that I needed for the move. The employee was not trained to handle corporate accounts.
Steven SThe only trouble I had was getting a local person to answer the phone. Everyone I actually dealt with was super friendly and everything happened as expected.
I spent half a grand on a 10 foot box truck and it ran horribly, try routine maintenance for the safety of others or don't have a moving business.

Judith MThe U-Haul experience was nothing but a nightmare. First of all, no one answers the phone in the Manistee location ever we have called more than twenty times! One lady visited went into the office and no one was even there!!!!! Trying to open that box and get the code took me over an hour and they did not add the hour onto my time. This is the worst experience I've ever had and I will never rent from U-Haul in Manistee Michigan again until it's improved and someone is in the damn store.

Darlene cI switched from trailer to truck rental and I was not given my actual contract of the truck and was not given the actual cost of the rental truck until my final bill was received. I was outraged to see that I was charged $200 more than I was told the cost would be. I called the stor, and after many unanswered calls, I finally spoke to the rental employee who told me he would see about refunding some fees. After many more unanswered calls and no refund, I was left irate. I will never again use uhaul and never recommend them to anyone. Instead I will tell everyone I know that uhaul are crooks and to never use their service.
Tonya GI am extremely happy with this facility and the young man that made it enjoyable! My only issue at all would be the 3 oclock closing time. I missed them several times as most people work later than that. I hope to be able to use this service again this fall, thank you very much!
