Kiya K | Expérience généraleThe airbag light was on, no equipment check with associate and customer completed, the equipment was parked precariously close to another trailer. I had to enter from the passenger side just to get into the vehicle, sign was still on the dashboard, needed to tuck it away myself in the rain.
Mikaela AOverall our experience was very good. However, when I picked up the truck an untimely snowstorm was occurring and I got the truck stuck before I left the city limits. An Arizona licensed truck, rented in the middle of snow country in the winter, in a snowstorm is not a good idea. 100 % straight tread, highway tires, not for snow. BAD DEAL! Finally get ready to load truck and the ramp is stuck. FROZEN SOLID from the snow and ice packed up in the frame around the ramp. Spent a half day laying underneath the truck with a large hammer and pry bar chipping out the ice and snow. Not UHauls fault, but still sucked. This put us 1 whole day behind schedule. Tom HProbably not. The trailer we rented was clean and well taken care of. But... the gentleman helping us was rude. We waited for a long time, even though we were on time for our 4:00. Never give bad reviews, but he shouldnt work with the public if he cannot be nice.

I did have damage on a few items but was assured that would be taken care of. Everything was dried off during the move, very professional.

Angie TI was over charged on the miles. The truck stunk. There was no windshield washer fluid. I mentioned this all to the person working and they did not care. This is a terrible location.

Holly HWhile it's not the fault of this particular U-Haul location, it shouldn't take nearly a half-hour to justify renting a truck after having already reserved it. I had to provide two other people's contact information AFTER I arrived to pick it up.
Todd AI fell out the U-Haul van and had to lay on the ground for several moments because the fall was so jarring when I came inside it seemed chat the attendant had a smile on his face I told him that he saw me fall on the camera and he was laughing he yelled at me and started walking towards me I turned and left because he was acting aggressive. Please review the outside and inside cameras as they well show. I told the person who checked me in about this.

Faith LWe were charged in obscene amounts for mileage when we did not use the vehicle more than a 120 miles. But we're charged for almost 300 somebody is crooked. They said we can't have a receipt because charges are being disputed. But that's not the case. The charges were completed and taken out of the account. I will never use U-haul. And I will tell everybody to not use you hall

Shelley HThe uhaul was full of snow and ice. I had to sit there for awhile to warm it up but it took 10-15 minutes and then I called them to ask about an icescraper. As I sat there for maybe 30 minutes after I planned to.

Clarence P | Premières impressionsThe Marshalltown facility employees need vast amounts of training on customer service. 3 of the 4 employees I had encounters with were incapable of answering questions knowledgeably, did not make any effort to be pleasant or helpful, and acted as though they didn't care whether they had the business or not. Scott is the only one who was kind and helpful. That being said, the facility itself was clean and well lit.

James MMr. Velez, the manager, was not overly kind or professional. He seemed burdened by assisting us. The other individual, however, was friendly and insightful. The property was very tidy and well organized. It was a smooth process accessing our unit and we feel safe with the level of security measures that are in place.

Jeff SThe store opened 40 minutes late, which pushed my entire morning back. The van had a sensor issue and told me there was a problem with the tire pressure. I ended up wasting time filling it and checking the pressure. By the end the truck was giving warnings for all 4 tires. When I informed the employee she said they had been having issues with that. She should have told me so I would not have wasted time worrying about it. I ended up returning the van 20 minutes late. I probably wasted close to that trying to fill/check the tires. I still had to pay the extra.

Jade M | Expérience généraleIt's way to expensive I think if you guys charge money per gallon them you guys should have to use that money for gas not make the people pay that and then have to put in gas and then charge them another 40 on top of that if they don't have the gas where they left it which is crazy cause I spent 46 dollars on 50 miles that I used

He was an exceptional guy and made a stressful, difficult and expensive situation much easier to swallow. Take care of him...the ability to maintain a professional, helpful and courteous attitude, all the while being forced to deal with people often at a tough crossroads in their lives, says alot about his character and peeps like that r few & far between. That can make the diff between a business that earns a black eye and one that is everyone's 1st choice!!!!

I used to have a storage shed that was 15x18x20 and it cost me $80 plus tax and I had 24 hour access but there was very little security with those sheds and there weren't any available to me at this time. However, I am very satisfied with UHAUL's security. I just wish the shed's were a little larger.

Was told there was nothing they could do and they had nothing available, waited on hold for support from office managers for 25 minutes and then magically was told, well I guess we have 1 storage unit available. Was also told garage doors open automatically, but doors did not. Had to get office workers to open doors and let us in. After that, most things went smoothly. Clean facility.

Seems to me the employees of this u-haul need to establish a daily routine of going around and making sure things are picked up and clean. Also we had on our day of moving out a roach came out from under a box. We now had to go through everything and make sure we were not taking with us these bad and nasty cruisers. Think if they would bomb every other month to prevent this from happening. Other than these the staff is differently helpful. Chris the manager bends over backwards in making things right. A+ in his customer skills effort. Thinking they just need to dial in the cleanliness.
