The woman in the office obviously hates her job and sadly her customers as well. Talking on her mobile hone with a friend on speaker during office hours and during transactions. I walked in and she did not know I was there - she was talking horribly about customers who come in late in her shift and describing how she was going to make their life suck. Unbelievable!!

HERBERT MAHONEPicked up a car trailer to do a 6 hour tow, attendant had me hook up the trailer by myself while she stayed in the office. I figured it out and in doing so noticed one of the trailers tires was very low on air. I told the attendant this showing her where a previous renter had hit something with the tire damaging the sidewall causing a leak. She told me this giant U-haul facility does not have an air chuck. So I me 6 hour tow turned into an 8 hour tow due to having to stop multiple times to check on and air up the damaged tire. The tire damage should have been spotted on the previous renters turn in.

alejandra bentley | Expérience généraleWe rented a 20 ft U-Haul, drove it about 9 mi to my home. Loaded it with three rooms worth of extremely heavy furniture. My husband begins to drive it out of the driveway, only to find out the tie rod is broke when he turned to the right the truck went to the left and to boot the ASB light was on and when my husband tried to stop there were no breaks. Brake pedal went straight to the floor. By the grace of God he found this out as he was pulling out of the driveway and was able to pull back into our yard and thankfully we have lots of cleared land where he was able to just let the truck roll around until it stopped. It was the only day we had to move and had plenty of people to help. With that being said that was on a Saturday, called U-Haul they did RENT us another truck . This one was only 15 ft, it is now going on 5:00 p.m. all of my help has had to leave, my husband is leaving Sunday the very next day to go out of town for a week with work, so now I am hiring movers. This entire time I have been speaking with corporate about the situation. They did have someone come out and pick up the truck on a wrecker once they got truck back in their possession, I have heard nothing. But they had no problem charging me almost $100. Not to mention the next day I had to hire two people to help me move. In the end I guess I'm just really thankful that no one was killed or hurt. The part that really disappoints me, is that while speaking to corporate I was promised that I would pay nothing for the second truck simply because we had already loaded the first truck and then we had to use our day to unload the 20-ft truck and now make several trips back and forth to storage with a 15 foot truck. I'm really disappointed in how customer service in this country has completely gone to crap. Extremely nice on the phone and then poof they've got their money got their truck back and definitely lost a customer. Not because the truck broke down things happen in life I get that. But because they did not hold their word nor have I heard from them since the incident which was 5 days ago, I work in customer service I should not be having to call them, they should be calling me and refunding my account.

We had to purchase WD-40 lubricant to spray on the tie down mechanisims so we could get our car properly secured. Then once we arrive to unload the car the tie down mechanisims would not release. An hour later after lubricating the mechanisms again we finally got the tie downs loose. The trailier had sand all over it. The trailer had not been washed or anything. No wonder it was severly rusted.

I received several threats of past due balances and late fees. I had to call over 6 times, only 2 of which were actually answered by the customer service line, to finally have my unit closed on the system. I know I wasn't in threat of paying the balance or fees because I requested the close properly on the app the day we cleared out the unit, but the frustration of dealing with notices and fees all while no one at the site ever answered the phone is why I wouldn't recommend Uhaul storage to anyone.

I was told the pipe was full of airplane bottles. Ie mini bottles. So ei someone is living in a locker again or someone onsite drinks at work. Regardless my property was ruined. I had to arrange for time off from work and a truck and help to dispose of my property. This wasn't a act of God. This was a facility not properly maintained. It is my understanding that this happened to someone else as well. Lightning caused fire or tornado would be act of God. A backed up toilet full of liquor bottles is not. Have a sofa and rugs soaked in urine and feces is unbelievable. As for security the gate was broken for a long period and the facility was open 24 hrs a day. I was allowed to store the sofa and rugs in a damaged goods locker until I could move it out. Due to the mold a mildew, I have to question the humidity and temperatures maintained in the controlled storage area. This was an expensive loss.

Payment options for people that are behind on payments or have unexpected expenses/circumstances are either pay in full or have the contents of the unit sold and the debt go to collections. Overall just a bad experience over the many years I have had a storage locker with uhaul. Would never recommend and actively discourage anyone from using uhaul storage. Thanks for wasting my time and my money. The employees at the Mooresville NC location that helped me with my storage locker when trying to gain access after missing payment are the only reason I would ever come back. And sadly that would not be enough for me to recommend anyone ever using any uhaul facilities. I don't have a problem with the employees. I have a problem with how the organization is run. Waste of money. This organization should be ashamed.

I was told no, that they would have to charge me over $500 for 1 extra night. I was willing to prorate for a whole week even though I only needed 1 night. The situation was out of my control, and I feel that it is very poor business practice to not be flexible in anyway.

She had been making payments to you writing checks.. Covid had been rough on us we werent allowed to come help her much except through a window to the outside. This facility somehow was contacting her to remind her to make payments as her checks were going to this place.. I know because I had to drive to the facility to make sure they had one in hand and to get assurance they were cashing it... One check went for over a week without being deposited I had to ride up there to question payment and then someone found her check laying where it shouldnt have been... She passed away a few weeks ago and I was her backup on her account I went to clear out the locker yet Nobody every let me know that her account was in error. Calling this place is near impossible yet every time we show up someones on that phone on a personal call outside smoking on that phone so I know it works its not hard to know its personal because you can hear the conversation through that door or see someones cell phone to their ear not other company gets to make personal calls on the clock, But nobody called me and her phone at her rest home didnt have calls missed either. We didnt receive any notices. I questioned the address and someone had it addressed wrong.. that address being wrong didnt make sense as we have rented trucks and Ive shown my ID several times and thats clearly printed on my ID.. So basically on her what would be birthday a few days ago had she not passed away shortly before this place sold a 130 year old bed that she was born in for a mere 45 that was in her storage along with other items left to my siblings and my cousins. The girl who talked to us wasnt much help, she said this is only the second time this had happened and was freaking out we havnt heard from them. Its a shame that backups arent utilized and employees at this station toss in typos for contacts without confirming them off IDs they scan.

Losing all the help I had. So I returned on Monday with a truck full of stuff my wife and my self. (Losing a days pay from work). To get absolutely no help from cashier. Passing along my problems to the manager. Who in turn tried to open the unit by drilling the lock. Must of tried for about two minutes. Than telling me there was nothing she could do. But refund my money back not telling me that there was a 50 dollar guaranteed for not fulfilling my reservation. Another customer told me. So than I had to argue with her about it. Didn't bother offering me another unit. Nothing. She basically sent me on my way. I will never use this facility ever again and definitely would never recommend to anyone!!!!!!

Having to call a number to get a passcode because the remote was not working. Always the in/out main door blocked with customers, truck and trailers. Not friendly staff, always blaming the customer, I can tell their life is miserable, because they do not enjoy being there, with such a cluster. Anyway, I found a better place where to store my stuff. Hopefully, I wont need U-haul anymore, but if I do, I know what location to avoid. Thanks,

I will make every attempt to move out all my belongings by then if possible. There is no sense in how hard communication is between customers. Terrible customer experience.

I also asked the person upfront if he could cancel my storage and he told me that I did not need to be there for that but it took me until I got an email about my storage payment coming up for me to realize that he did not do that. Everything else was perfectly fine. He seemed to be a nice guy and was helpful just seemed overwhelmed and overworked and i would recommend y'all get more employees. Also I do not like the fact that if the employees do not pick up the phone after 3 rings your customer service people pick up the phone. If i am calling a specific location I would like to be able to talk to that location not customer service. I called multiple times the day that I got my unit and I was not able to contact anybody from this location and it was very frustrating.

Even the hallways. I didn't have to search for the dolly, it was right inside the door! I feel very confident about my decision to use this storage facility!! There are storage facilities on every corner but by choosing Uhaul and moving my stuff in I know I made the right choice!!!!
