The woman in the office obviously hates her job and sadly her customers as well. Talking on her mobile hone with a friend on speaker during office hours and during transactions. I walked in and she did not know I was there - she was talking horribly about customers who come in late in her shift and describing how she was going to make their life suck. Unbelievable!!

Picked up a car trailer to do a 6 hour tow, attendant had me hook up the trailer by myself while she stayed in the office. I figured it out and in doing so noticed one of the trailers tires was very low on air. I told the attendant this showing her where a previous renter had hit something with the tire damaging the sidewall causing a leak. She told me this giant U-haul facility does not have an air chuck. So I me 6 hour tow turned into an 8 hour tow due to having to stop multiple times to check on and air up the damaged tire. The tire damage should have been spotted on the previous renters turn in.

The only thing I would change is adding an overhead light inside each unit because it was kind of dark inside. The hallways were lit, but inside my unit was dark.

Had to go back to get the missing hand dolly (which we deleted when we saw how small it was) and to get the missing 6 moving blankets that were not in the truck. We were charged for 7 Gallons of fuel and only drove 28 total miles!!

We rented a 20 ft U-Haul, drove it about 9 mi to my home. Loaded it with three rooms worth of extremely heavy furniture. My husband begins to drive it out of the driveway, only to find out the tie rod is broke when he turned to the right the truck went to the left and to boot the ASB light was on and when my husband tried to stop there were no breaks. Brake pedal went straight to the floor. By the grace of God he found this out as he was pulling out of the driveway and was able to pull back into our yard and thankfully we have lots of cleared land where he was able to just let the truck roll around until it stopped. It was the only day we had to move and had plenty of people to help. With that being said that was on a Saturday, called U-Haul they did RENT us another truck . This one was only 15 ft, it is now going on 5:00 p.m. all of my help has had to leave, my husband is leaving Sunday the very next day to go out of town for a week with work, so now I am hiring movers. This entire time I have been speaking with corporate about the situation. They did have someone come out and pick up the truck on a wrecker once they got truck back in their possession, I have heard nothing. But they had no problem charging me almost $100. Not to mention the next day I had to hire two people to help me move. In the end I guess I'm just really thankful that no one was killed or hurt. The part that really disappoints me, is that while speaking to corporate I was promised that I would pay nothing for the second truck simply because we had already loaded the first truck and then we had to use our day to unload the 20-ft truck and now make several trips back and forth to storage with a 15 foot truck. I'm really disappointed in how customer service in this country has completely gone to crap. Extremely nice on the phone and then poof they've got their money got their truck back and definitely lost a customer. Not because the truck broke down things happen in life I get that. But because they did not hold their word nor have I heard from them since the incident which was 5 days ago, I work in customer service I should not be having to call them, they should be calling me and refunding my account.

This reservation was set at 2 different locations. I had to pick up the truck from another location and then go to this one to get the car tow. This place was extremely slow, unorganized, and not helpful. Our reservation was to include a hand dolly and no one, not even customer support, could help me locate one.

No gas in truck when I picked it up

The first car hauler the tongue jack was bad and we could not get it hooked up to our truck. The second car hauler was very badly rusted and the tie down mechanisms would not retract. We had to purchase WD-40 lubricant to spray on the tie down mechanisims so we could get our car properly secured. Then once we arrive to unload the car the tie down mechanisims would not release. An hour later after lubricating the mechanisms again we finally got the tie downs loose. The trailier had sand all over it. The trailer had not been washed or anything. No wonder it was severly rusted.

The location was not set up for success. Lots of miscommunication, I ended up being charged for an extra day, my drop off wasn't processed until the next day despite dropping off at 9am. U-Haul has not reimbursed me for the over charge. I would avoid this location at all costs.

Trailer smelled of gas. Rented a 6x12 two other times. They had two doors in back that went out. This one was older, had a roll up door which got in way of cargo. Head room was much less in this model making it harder to load

Both ladies were rude, and denied me the proper trolley I’ve rented before and confirmed was allowed for my car and instead insisted I HAD to get a bigger trailer for my car and like I tired to say my cars were too low and damaged the bottom of my car and they still charged me even when I brought it back 15 minutes later

The staff here is so warm and friendly. If you follow the directions for the rental-your in and out quickly. I can't remember the gals name- but she is newer- she is amazing! She brings the trucks up and makes sure they are ready to go.

The truck is in desperate need of servicing. It wouldn't start every time I turned it off. I had to try to crank it multiple times. It also was pulling to the left very badly. I left the staff know at drop off.

My issue happened after I closed out my unit. The app stated my request to close was subject to managers approval for over a month. I received several threats of past due balances and late fees. I had to call over 6 times, only 2 of which were actually answered by the customer service line, to finally have my unit closed on the system. I know I wasn't in threat of paying the balance or fees because I requested the close properly on the app the day we cleared out the unit, but the frustration of dealing with notices and fees all while no one at the site ever answered the phone is why I wouldn't recommend Uhaul storage to anyone.

Have a gate code over night person for after hours drop off on trailers. Had to keep the trailer and extra night, and take it back the next morning in freesing rain. Super inconvenient.

I was a tenant for 3 yrs.. at the start of the pandemic. I was greeted every morning and anytime I was seen on campus by staff. Manager Brandy was great. She made sure I had everything I needed and was there to help no matter what. I will miss the building I rented and I will miss the staff at uhaul.

Unfortunately a pipe in the climate control area leaked raw human waste on a leather sofa and two large wool rugs. They were ruined. I was told the pipe was full of airplane bottles. Ie mini bottles. So ei someone is living in a locker again or someone onsite drinks at work. Regardless my property was ruined. I had to arrange for time off from work and a truck and help to dispose of my property. This wasn't a act of God. This was a facility not properly maintained. It is my understanding that this happened to someone else as well. Lightning caused fire or tornado would be act of God. A backed up toilet full of liquor bottles is not. Have a sofa and rugs soaked in urine and feces is unbelievable. As for security the gate was broken for a long period and the facility was open 24 hrs a day. I was allowed to store the sofa and rugs in a damaged goods locker until I could move it out. Due to the mold a mildew, I have to question the humidity and temperatures maintained in the controlled storage area. This was an expensive loss.

They staff was very helpful but they are understaffed at the desk. Maybe not for all the time but the times I was there it was a long wait. Again they were kind and helpful but many times I was alone in the front of the store for 10 minutes or longer . Maybe even a camera and speaker to let the people waiting know someone will be coming soon. Otherwise nice place.

Always unsecured and dirty. A uhaul storage employee hit the front of my truck with a uhaul truck. Then denied it and they wouldn't do anything because the camera wasn't pointed in my truck's direction. They always backed up other vehicles to my work truck to make it hard to access and park. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Staff is unprofessional.

Rent prices are always increasing for no reason and improvements are not made to reflect the increased rent. Payment options for people that are behind on payments or have unexpected expenses/circumstances are either pay in full or have the contents of the unit sold and the debt go to collections. Overall just a bad experience over the many years I have had a storage locker with uhaul. Would never recommend and actively discourage anyone from using uhaul storage. Thanks for wasting my time and my money. The employees at the Mooresville NC location that helped me with my storage locker when trying to gain access after missing payment are the only reason I would ever come back. And sadly that would not be enough for me to recommend anyone ever using any uhaul facilities. I don't have a problem with the employees. I have a problem with how the organization is run. Waste of money. This organization should be ashamed.

Parki g is a bit troublesome. There isn't really anywhere to park except against the storage units and then you oftentimes block UHUALS that are coming and going.

I've used this facility because it was convenient to the house and for the price of space I used. However, I don't believe that there should be price increases for an outside storage area. It requires no maintenance, no heat or cooling. Otherwise great experience

Uhaul employees tended to speak in vernacular. "Have you moved in" - to me means have I moved my things into the unit. To them it meant fill out the paperwork online. And then the employee (I think it was the manager whose picture is all over) seemed irritated that I didn't know what she meant. Overall, facility meets expectations. Friendliness of the manager was sub par.

The entry/exit is poorly setup and not efficient; especially when people with moving trucks or trailers are trying to enter/exit with others. If I would have known this in advance I would have selected a different and more accessible location. Also having no space for after hours drop off of the moving truck was inconvenient as well.

I recommend lookin at the storage unit before renting. The 5 by 8 unit is advertised as big enough for a small 1 bedroom apartment or efficiency, and this is not the case. It may be helpful to have pictures of the units.

Bathrooms filthy at all times, almost never cleaned except by me. Another tenant allowed to play ridiculously loud music even after multiple complaints, in violation of the contract term's, making it near impossible for me to do my work. I had to constantly reschedule work and do my work around his hours. A/C and ventilation to my office hasn't worked in over a month as of my move out date. Issues with frequently breaking toilets go unrepaired as well.

My experience was wonderful up until I asked to extend my unit for 1 week. I moved from out of state, and the closing on my house was held up a week. I was told no, that they would have to charge me over $500 for 1 extra night. I asked if I could speak with someone in corporate, and was told they would direct the call right back to her, and the answer is no. I was willing to prorate for a whole week even though I only needed 1 night. The situation was out of my control, and I feel that it is very poor business practice to not be flexible in anyway.

We were storing an enclosed trailer here and had a wonderful experience. We no longer have that trailer and that is the only reason we no longer need their service. We also needed to rent a large indoor storage area and when they did not have anything available that would meet our needs, directed us to a nearby U-Haul facility that could accommodate us. They have fantastic staff!

The layout of the parking lot is terrible, and navigating around other vehicles can be difficult (not that U-Haul is at fault). When I got to my storage unit there were belongings from a previous renter left inside that I had to deal with myself.

My grandmother had a storage building with you since 2018. I was on her account as someone who had access or a backup I was told. She had been making payments to you writing checks.. Covid had been rough on us we werent allowed to come help her much except through a window to the outside. This facility somehow was contacting her to remind her to make payments as her checks were going to this place.. I know because I had to drive to the facility to make sure they had one in hand and to get assurance they were cashing it... One check went for over a week without being deposited I had to ride up there to question payment and then someone found her check laying where it shouldnt have been... She passed away a few weeks ago and I was her backup on her account I went to clear out the locker yet Nobody every let me know that her account was in error. Calling this place is near impossible yet every time we show up someones on that phone on a personal call outside smoking on that phone so I know it works its not hard to know its personal because you can hear the conversation through that door or see someones cell phone to their ear not other company gets to make personal calls on the clock, But nobody called me and her phone at her rest home didnt have calls missed either. We didnt receive any notices. I questioned the address and someone had it addressed wrong.. that address being wrong didnt make sense as we have rented trucks and Ive shown my ID several times and thats clearly printed on my ID.. So basically on her what would be birthday a few days ago had she not passed away shortly before this place sold a 130 year old bed that she was born in for a mere 45 that was in her storage along with other items left to my siblings and my cousins. The girl who talked to us wasnt much help, she said this is only the second time this had happened and was freaking out we havnt heard from them. Its a shame that backups arent utilized and employees at this station toss in typos for contacts without confirming them off IDs they scan.

It was horrible. I rented a storage unit on Saturday went back to access it Sunday after hours. To find somebody else lock on the unit. So I had no access to it. Losing all the help I had. So I returned on Monday with a truck full of stuff my wife and my self. (Losing a days pay from work). To get absolutely no help from cashier. Passing along my problems to the manager. Who in turn tried to open the unit by drilling the lock. Must of tried for about two minutes. Than telling me there was nothing she could do. But refund my money back not telling me that there was a 50 dollar guaranteed for not fulfilling my reservation. Another customer told me. So than I had to argue with her about it. Didn't bother offering me another unit. Nothing. She basically sent me on my way. I will never use this facility ever again and definitely would never recommend to anyone!!!!!!

I do understand the times we are living now, and this locations seems to be overwhelmed, I was planning to keep the storage unit, but I found several times that the door was not working properly at off hours. Having to call a number to get a passcode because the remote was not working. Always the in/out main door blocked with customers, truck and trailers. Not friendly staff, always blaming the customer, I can tell their life is miserable, because they do not enjoy being there, with such a cluster. Anyway, I found a better place where to store my stuff. Hopefully, I wont need U-haul anymore, but if I do, I know what location to avoid. Thanks,

After renting the unit I found that it was an indoor unit with no outside access. I am elderly and walk with a cane; I cannot handle an indoor unit; I must be able to drive my vehicle directly to the storage unit. I immediately - within minutes - contacted the U-Haul facility, told them my situation, asked to cancel the rental, and requested a refund. So far, the U-Haul facility has not cancelled nor refunded. Their only response has been to tell me that the indoor unit doesn't have any steps. Please help me.

I only gave this facility an average rating because when I arrived to move-in to the storage unit which I reserved back in March 2021 it had been rented out to someone else. The staff in the office were great and made every effort to find accommodations for me in the area (which were sold out). They did come up with a solution & I was able to store my belongings as planned.

When I arrived in NC, I was helped by Joseph who took the time to walk me the through the process step-by-step. The owners of this Uhaul facility were very helpful with any and all questions I had. Working with them and Uhaul made our cross state move much easier. This included the rental of a large 26 foot truck and use of the storage facility in Mooresville until we were able to move into our new home. I'm not a new customer. I merely had a credit compromise which caused me to get a new card. In doing so, my account could not be automatically charged. I sent and email as the first letter instructed as an option. Heard nothing. I called and got a live person and changed my card on file. I received yet another letter now with multiple late fees. I called again and waited online for greater than 10 mins until a Corp contact took the call. She ran my card complete with all late fees. I'm paid up through Nov 5th. I will make every attempt to move out all my belongings by then if possible. There is no sense in how hard communication is between customers. Terrible customer experience.

Montana Overman and Joseph (last name?) were ALWAYS on site, VERY helpful and friendly. The storage unit area was always clean and all of the trucks received great care! We had 10x30 and 10x15 rentals relocating from MA to NC so needless to say we spent ALOT of time at this facility. I would recommend this U-Haul location to anyone looking to be treated as though you truly DO matter!! They both put their all into making the arduous task of moving a more pleasant experience! There was a giant pole in my storage unit which took up probably about a 4th of my storage space. I also asked the person upfront if he could cancel my storage and he told me that I did not need to be there for that but it took me until I got an email about my storage payment coming up for me to realize that he did not do that. Everything else was perfectly fine. He seemed to be a nice guy and was helpful just seemed overwhelmed and overworked and i would recommend y'all get more employees. Also I do not like the fact that if the employees do not pick up the phone after 3 rings your customer service people pick up the phone. If i am calling a specific location I would like to be able to talk to that location not customer service. I called multiple times the day that I got my unit and I was not able to contact anybody from this location and it was very frustrating.

I wanted climate control storage and figured Uhaul has been around for a long time. When the staff took me to see size of unit inside, it was VERY CLEAN!! Even the hallways. I didn't have to search for the dolly, it was right inside the door! I feel very confident about my decision to use this storage facility!! There are storage facilities on every corner but by choosing Uhaul and moving my stuff in I know I made the right choice!!!!

I was only a few days after my monthly payment when I terminated my storage and you Uhaul will not does not pro rate or give you any of your money back so I paid for additional month and didn't even use it !!!

My experience was great and had no problems for the two years that my stuff was stored here. My only downfall about my experience was the payment I paid, I do believe it is priced a little steep especially when I was using it for a long term use.

This is a great storage unit facility. I've had my things there for years. All the employees have always been fantastic. The only thing that ALWAYS seemed to be an issue; understaffed.

Biggest problem is trying to talk to someone at this location. They do not answer. Calls are rerouted. A pain! The employees are usually friendly. Love the flatbed at the door to help move things.

You should prorate months. I lucked up and found a place to move to 4 days after paying my rent and moved all my things out in a few days. I kept the lock on because I paid in full with no refund.
