Laura NichiloTo be fair, the employees at this location were very nice and did a good job, however I did not rent from this location, I rented two week in advance from a place less than a mile from my house but received a message the night before that we did not have equipment at my location so we had to drive 30 minutes away to get the truck...why...and why did they wait until the night before? This caused us to get a late start loading that morning and threw our whole schedule off. Not cool. When I tried calling, the automatic phone system said all associates were busy so I was transferred to a central location of some sort...then had to go through pushing button after button and then being told it would be 10 minutes, so I drove to the local place where I tried to call and no one was busy...sitting around waiting to help...why did the system do that?

DAWNE GODWINWhen we arrived to pick up the truck the app sent us to the back of the building. We weren't able to get to the truck as it was blocked in by another truck. We called the location and they sent someone to move the truck blocking it out of the way. I asked him how we were supposed to get the key as the app made no mention of that. He told us we had to go into the building for the key, which we did. Thinking we were finally on our way, we decided we better make sure the dolly and moving pads were im the back of the truck. They were NOT! We had to go back inside to ask for these items. What should have taken 15 minutes turned into over 45 minutes to get this truck. I called to complain to U-Haul and instead of them handling it they wanted to give me the managers phone number. We were in the middle of a move and really didn't have time to chase people down to tell them they weren't doing their job! Very frustrating. As far as the truck goes, it was great!

The guy who told us the truck was there when we clearly didn't see it where he pointed ended up having to go around the building and move another truck from in front of it before we could even move our truck.

Justin HartWho was the idiot who decided that trailers be returned…on a sloped surface? That is probably a 15 degree slope! Even if one has a "Jack" as the app suggests, how do you guys suppose the customer unhook the trailer…when it is rolling down hill!!?? Someone should sue you guys for the liability of requiring the customer to "use a Jack on a hill"(have you ever read the instructions for changing a tire? One should not use a Jack on a slope!!) Good thing I had construction materials in my truck with which to block the trailer wheels to allow unhooking. Will seek a different option in the future, and avoid this location next time. Sheesh!
Michael PruettEverything with this location was great! I was especially relieved that they had next day availability when the first location I was assigned to couldn't actually accommodate my need for a trailer but I didn't know until the day before. Travis (I think that was his name!) was especially knowledgeable about U-box and turned what was shaping up to be a stressful experience completely around for me. This location was very clean and well organized and the staff were all friendly and helpful.

June ChaThis location is normally great! However, when I reserved our Haul van (which I do 4 times a year), I was guaranteed my equipment or I got $50. I got a text the morning that we were supposed to pick up saying that my reservation had changed and I needed to approve it. I could either pick up the van (which I can only drive) at a further location (no discount on the extra miles and extra time it would take me) or pick up a larger truck where I was planning to go. There was not an apology, no explanation and no mention of a rebate! This is the first time this has happened, but very disappointing. I cancelled, since neither option worked. I tried to call and couldn't get to the store and have no time to stay on corporate hold. So, I got one the next day (new reservation). I mentioned the problem as there were 4 vans there. They just blew me off and didn't even respond. I was very disappointed in the whole experience!

However, there was one glitch this time. The storage unit we rented for several months had a door that we were not able to raise and lower. We had to have one of the staff open it for us. It was still broken on the day we moved everything out. After we moved out, I notified one of the staff and showed him a photo of the empty unit (1074). He told me I was good to go. But I received constant emails notifying me of "Autopayment failure".

Then he couldn't help me. Then they got a guy to help me, and he didn't even ask for picture. I will never rent from there again

I asked about the promotion of a free lock at move in and he charge me for the lock. When I opened the storage unit, there was a lock there. I had to go back to the same employee to get a refund. In both instances he was not friendly and worked at a really slow pace and there was a line of clients waiting. Need to improve his customer service skills.

This location at Grapevine Hwy (Hwy 26) in N.R.H., TX 76180 has always been my personal go to location for most all of my Rental needs. The Staff is knowledgeable and professional. They make a sincere effort to expedite as promptly as is realistically possible in what can be at times a chaotic environment and even apologize for delays. I know that this review comes across as a padded Review, It isn't and I rarely waste my time on these Type of Review Requests. I haven't completed a Uhaul Review in some time. Occasionally, We need to take a brief moment of our lives to acknowledge the People who ARE doing a Good Job in order to compensate for ALL the frustrated or negative People whom they encounter in the course of their normal Work . Sometimes that one "Thanks, I see the good Job you're doing and I appreciate your efforts ." keeps the beneficial Employee/ Manager so that they are there for You the next time that you need their assistance . Doesn't just apply to this Uhaul... So, this is the part that I try to help and make both My and other Customers Lives better... I fully understand the dynamics involved in the Operations of a Rental/ Storage Operation and why there is a realistic need to add rolling phone coverage for Inbound Calls. However, there are times that Uhaul Corporate Call Center isn't equipped with the Site Specific Knowledge to answer specific customer questions 樂. Perhaps adding a specified Text Capability on a Corporate to Store and Back, would help overcome this aggravating gap in the Customer Interaction Abilities of Customer Phone Calls and the information they are seeking, which is answerable only at a Store Level. I called customer support the refunded the gas charges snd gave me a $25 gift code. Can you believe? 2 gal of gas for 1,5 miles? I still cannot.

FREDERICK PETERS | Expérience généraleWe moved my son's apartment into a unit over four years ago. When we recently came to get his stuff, we found a U-Haul lock in a slot next to the lock we put on. When we asked the staff, they said that they did not have the key and that the U-Haul lock was required. He said he had been working there two years and they always require that lock. When I told him that we were not required to get that type of lock when we moved in, he said it was required back then also. Obviously he was lying as he was not there four years ago and I was. I called Diane, the manager to see if they had a remedy but alas more terrible service as she never called me back. Probably too embarrassed by there blatant incompetence. We had to call a locksmith to have the U-Haul lock removed for $173. I would never use this location and warn everyone to stay away.

They were above amazing with customer service. The drop of location was the worst experience I have ever had with a business ever. The location itself was clean and tidy. Jarom/ jason not sure exactly his name. ( Light blonde/Reddish fuzzy hair in a bun on his head, wore orange bandana) and the the other man who Claimed to be the assist manager by far worst customer service from those two. You never tell or talk down to your customers. The assistant manager wouldn't reprimand his employee from be obstinate after I asked him several times to stop speaking to me. I even called Diane Talley.....useless ....she just wanted me to use online. I had to continue to tell her employees to stop telling at me so I could even speak to her. The way to this store is run is absolutely ridiculous. I will be calling and filing s formal complaint. They had one employee that went above and beyond to try and fix the situation. Angel May. He apologized even said he was sorry that I shouldn't have been treated like that. You definitely need to go through clean house and hire more people like Angel May. He was really great when the rest of your staff is by far the worst customer experience I have ever experienced.
