When I dropped off, I had to wait several minutes before anyone greeted me despite the signs clearly saying to "stay in the equipment and someone will be come to you." The person the that checked me in asked one question, didn't check anything over, and the whole process took 10 seconds which I appreciated, but why make me wait for a 10 second process? I was then billed 36 dollars for 6 gallons of gas after putting 1000 miles and 100s of gallons of gas in the truck. Sorry, I didn't keep EXACT track of the gas. I understand that is money out of U-Haul pocket, but would have at least been nice to know when I returned. It also doesn't feel great when I gave U-Haul $1500 for the rental, used it gently, and get dinged with an additional, very nominal to a multi billion dollar company, charge. When I called back to get clarification on the charge, the woman who took my call had a very difficult time finding my reservation, even though I had just dropped the truck off a couple hours prior. The additional 15 minutes on hold was annoying.

ED MStaff follow through was less than desirable. When I was told by the attendant in person that assist Ed me getting the large doors unlock after opening hours. She said she would close out my storage. Then two days later I get a call telling me my storage unit was left without a lock. Then I knew I had to take time to close out my unit when I was told I wouldn't need to worry about it sh would have it handled. Not good customer service.

Nancy w | Expérience généraleI didn't like that the gas was only 1/4 full. I didn't need to go that far but it's really hard to gauge how much gas to put in so that you don't under/overfill. The rentals should be just like regular rentals and come with a full gas tank. Just adds more stress onto moving.

Paul ACustomer Service would have been nice. The front desk associates seemed to be annoyed that we were there to pick up a truck. The entire experience was less than desirable in regards to customer service. And, we had to walk to entire parking lot to try to find the truck....it would have been nice if a map was given, or an explanation on how to locate the truck. Even when we returned the truck the woman at the front desk didn't say a word, just gave us a receipt. I would have given a much higher rating if the service was better.

Mike KI arranged for movers to deliver the boxes. They had to bring them one at a time. They packed each box in about 20 minutes, but it took about an hour and a half to take the box to Scottsdale, exchange it, and get back. A 2-hour load out turned into an all-day affair. The movers were great - would recommend them again. Now, U-Haul Pasco who delivered my boxes gets one star, only because the driver was great. Management - negative 5 stars. My boxes were scheduled to be delivered Monday. I got them late Tuesday, right as it was starting to rain. Because of that, I couldn't unload until Friday. They scheduled pickup for Saturday morning. Saturday around 4 in the afternoon, a driver called and asked to move it to Monday morning. Monday morning they called and asked to move it to Wednesday 8:30-10:30. We left the house around 11 and they were loading them when we returned at 1:30. Oh yes, I've never talked to a manager. I've never felt like they knew what they were doing or cared about their customer. Overall, U-Haul boxes were the only container choice I had to Walla Walla. In hindsight, I wish I would have rented a truck and drove myself, preferably with a Penske truck.

Gerson BThe truck in front of our truck did not start so we couldn't take our assigned truck. We had to wait an hour before they were finally able to prepare a new contract and truck for us! Everything else was good.

Mark CPerson at the desk was great. Person hooking up the trailer seemed disinterested or tired (yawning) and annoyed with me having to switch to a 2" ball. He also did not mention to make sure that the doors get locked correctly (two portions at top and bottom of bar locking mechanism should slot into mounted receptacles) so doors don't swing open. If not for a person behind me flashing when I got on the interstate and motioning that the trailer doors were starting to swing open I would not have known. Luckily I had strapped the articles at the back end in and had a lock on so doors wouldn't have completely have opened and things spill out. Please have those attaching the equipment mention some of the safety precautions or even just how to correctly lock the doors, could save people from potential unfortunate circumstances. Luckily it didn't happen.

Craig CFrancisco (at location counter / sales CSR) ) was great handling my rental & making adjustments; very kind and courteous while Roxanne, who maintains the property, helped me above and beyond what anyplace else would have done. She showed me around the property, provided boxes, and was responsible for changing me to a better unit for my needs. and taught me how to open a stubborn unit door. Overall = an A+ !
Christie HOf the storage units I have rented, I find this location far superior. The facility is always clean, the staff is very friendly and the access is very convenient. I have recommended this facility to family and friends for their storage needs. I couldn't be happier with them.

Lee NThey typed in my email wrong even after I had made them aware of it. I didn't receive my contract via email until 2 to 3 days later. I called to check the price on a modification. They said they couldn't help me. I was given another number to call. After I dialed that number I was then given numbers to 2 other locations. I eventually discovered that an additional mile has a charge of $1 and was told to figure the amount myself by looking at my contract (which was not initially provided to me). Upon my return I needed to change drop off locations. Again I was given a total of 4 offices to call. At the end my drop off location could not be changed. First I was told there would be a charge. Then I was told it could not be changed. Then I was told it could but was abruptly disconnected. I did eventually get a call back but was informed if I needed to make a complaint to call customer service. The return call was not about trying to help me change my drop off location. I will NEVER use uhaul again. Extremely poor customer service, no assistance, and twice was placed on hold for 20 to 30 minutes. The worst experience.

I would never want to use any other company.The pricing is higher than the other brands when it comes to storage but the personal service more than makes up for it. This is a real post not paid . This Scottsdale location has set the bar very high on quality and service. Definitely worth every penny. Stop by and see Anna, Francisco, Roxann Alan and a whole host of awesome employees… Can't say enough.

I told him I wanted to get everything done so all I have to do is unload. I didn't open the link for my drivers lic right away and had to go back an hr later. At that time I asked again to complete the process. He took down all my info but didn't charge me. The next day I tried to open the door and was denied. I went into the office and another Clerk took my payment, showed me how to open the doors and was extremely helpful.

Then escorted us to our unit and noticed one closer to the elevator with more space to maneuver and switch us to that one. She showed us the correct way to sign in and out. And she did it in minutes.

Two separate key pads 20 feet apart, each has to have 7 digit number entered to open the doors. The card they gave me would NOT open the doors the first day -- well that's the day you move the most stuff. We had to use the TWO key pads no less than 20 times to get in.

James P | Expérience généraleI rented a 5X10 unit and discovered that they gave me a 5X5 unit instead. I had to go through the whole renting process a 2nd time. They credited my card but was not able to provide me with a receipt. I went back to make sure that I would not get auto billed each month for the smaller unit. It was difficult to imagine that this could happen since I explained that I had 100 boxes to store and everyone there believed I should go with the larger unit which also made sense to me. There was no way to know that this was happening because I was told that I would be getting a discounted rate the 1st month and then pay the regular amount each month thereafter. That was not the case when I rented the 2nd unit.

I only have my wife and one address. That is a crazy limitation of your system. 3) Manager was very rude when dealing with the issue above.

It is a multi-purpose facility encompassing rental, return and storage. It is clean, well-maintained and the employees are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

Marilyn K | Expérience généraleThe staff was wonderful, but my experience was awful. I had a reservation for a location 25 min west of my house, not ideal, but doable. I loaded up my car and dropped my husband off at Home Depot then i went to my location. After having a reservation for months, they didn't call to tell me they didn't have my size unit. I could pay $110 more a month for a size I didn't need, but no thanks! So I had to go to one 25 minutes north of my house AND we couldn't get anything we needed at Home Depot bc my car was still loaded. On top of this, I couldn't get back to pick my kids up on time bc I didn't have any place for them to sit, so i was scrambling there. I ended up spending 4 1/2 hours trying to get into a locker and all because no one called to tell me to go somewhere else, and i had 8 Rubbermaid totes, that's it. Then on top of that, the place they sent me in the end was $15 more a month for that same size and it wasn't even climate controlled! The first one was, how does that even figure?! And I wasn't told that when I left the first place for the second. So while I rate your staff with excellence for friendliness, the experience was pretty awful. Any day this would have been annoying, but we're moving and have a million things to do, this shouldn't have been such a Process!

The worker who initially set up my account/ storage unit was very impolite and wanted to do as little work as possible. Any question was met with a very annoyed response. The experience I had here was no doubt a direct result of the manager who wouldn't allow me to leave the storage unit unlocked and with nothing in it for about a half hour whilr I went and got my lock and items I was storing in the unit. When calling into this store to try and move out I had to call in 4 times, each were met with an employee putting me on hold for over 20 minutes each time before I hung up. I never got threw to them once and had to call into the main U haul number to finally check out. I have used U-Haul a bunch of times in the past and my experience was wonderful. Not a single complaint ! This store was so bad that of I did not know how it stacked up to others, I would never use U-Haul again. This is unacceptable and in an incredibly wealthy area like Scottsdale, this entire U-Haul store needs some serious looking into.

Attempted to use mobile check in for van rental and after jumping through the online hoops I still had to go inside and check in with an attendant. Due to my work schedule getting to our unit during the day proved difficult and it is an extra fee to have longer access hours, not the case at our new facility. I get supply and demand but feel that Uhaul is erring on the side of greed.

We checked in online and received a text confirmation of the unit number, code to enter the building and confirmation that the lock was I n the unit. We purposely checked in online as we waited in line for over 40 minutes to buy moving boxes the prior weekend and wanted to avoid that wait. When we arrived at the unit, the lock was not in there as stated. We ended up having to go to the office to wait in line for 30 minutes. She asked me for my address, even though I already have a customer file due to having a storage locker. I said "shouldn't you have that already?" and she said "Sir, I just need your address." She would not even explain how idiotic it is that uHaul does not already have my address handy. I let that go. She wore a facemask BELOW her nose, which is ridiculous. I asked for a pro-rated refund of my storage locker and she said "we don't do that" instead of showing me the contract. I did not push on it. The facility is not clean, the equipment in the main storage area is falling apart. They constantly ask everyone NOT to park where it says "customer parking" and to PARK IN THE STREET which is far less safe. GET your act together.

Lastly I made a payment on my storage unit in advance and the clerk told me they weren't going to refund my payment of $125. Absolute theft if you ask me. Especially after giving 6 months of my business. The truck had horrible alignment and hadn't been inspected since January of LAST YEAR. The last time I helped a friend move in a uhaul it hadn't been inspected in 5 years and we had a tire blow out while exiting the freeway. Absolutely terrible business. I HATE UHAUL and I will NEVER offer my business ever again and I will steer everyone I have the opportunity another direction.

I will call American Express and issue a chargeback if this is how UHaul and it's staff treats customers.

My email and phone number were the contact information but the unit was in her name. I was told I would have to bring in my mom to show her ID to close the account. I explained my mom was in a senior facility 60 minutes away and this would be a huge problem. Basically I was told they didn't care. So I drove all the way across town and back again with my Mom. Walked in and was then told we don't need to see her drivers license!!! Instead of being contrite, I was met with laughter and the offer of a water! I know we were no longer clients, but you took a pretty good experience and turned it into a terrible experience. Really terrible customer relations!! I would not recommend this location to anyone and a different approach to the bad situation would/could have made all the difference.
