The location listed for the van was not the location the van was at. I had to walk around two blocks to find it. Also, the equipment that I ordered was not in the van when I opened it.

I was very happy with the facility and the staff, it was convenient to where I live but it was time to consolidate and downsize our excess stuff.

In store pick-up takes to long when you are on time restraint, and if the customer ordered a dolly please have it already in the vehicle please.

I was not told there was a mileage restriction and was charged extra 32 miles when I was only driving within the burbs vicinity of Chicago. They return process online did not work at all

They took way to long to check me in. I was not asked conformation questions as to what I had done online, I was treated like a walkin. I thought at least the dolly would have been put in the van since I did order it online, but "No" it was given to me in-store, I'm on a cane so I had to do it myself. I will not use this location again even though the vehicle I reserved was available as early as 7am.

Rented a U-Haul van over the weekend and I can tell you it will be my last at this location. Arrived 10 minutes early and waited another 5-10 minutes for someone to come out to the counter. When we were finally assisted an employee or manager, Andres G. was very rude to myself and my coworker. Had an attitude since he first walked in and tried rushing us when we tried answering the questions he was asking us. When asked over the phone he said I could return the van late and would be charged for late fees, I agreed with that as it was fine with me. When we went to check in he later told me he would be charging for a two-day rental (which means we had the Van until Sunday) but then told us we would need to return it by 2PM Saturday because they had over booked that van. I thought the place was unprofessional, not well coordinated, and he gives out the impression he doesn't enjoy being there.

I just moved out of Uhaul Storage at Pilsen and was using my storage unit for about 4 months. I was able to store all my apartment stuff (one-bedroom) in one 10x10x unit. I have nothing but good things to say about my unit. Overall, the place is the cleanest storage unit location I have ever used or been to. The convenience of being able to drive in and immediately access the elevators is a huge plus (makes moving in poor weather no problem). I would say try to avoid weekends as they are significantly more busy and sometimes hard to park, but overall I did not have a problem. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is also in a safe area. Overall 5/5 recommend.

My promotional offer that I received from UHAUL was not honored and was met with haste when I was on-site asking about it. After check out, I still received payment charges and late fees, even after sending notes to management saying I had already moved out. Spent a lot of time on the phone trying to resolve issues- none of which really ever were. Would not recommend this facility; better options in the city.

The young women at the front desk walked me through the details of the rental and answered all my questions. She was patient and knowledgeable-I felt fully informed and ready once I got the keys. Glad she was there for my reservation.

Had pickup reserved for 6AM. Keys were not in the lock box. Had to wait for employee to arrive until 7:15AM (they are supposed to open at 7AM) to rudely provide us the key. This delayed out in and move out. Try to rent from any other uhaul than this one

Your employee that helped me was extremely rude and unhelpful. He also threatened me and made me feel unsafe. I have had a storage unit at this location for years, long before it was UHaul and I will now be moving to a different storage facility due to my poor experience.

There was no gangplank to load heavy furniture in! I tried to book online and hit the extra insurance for $5. So the Guy at the counter had to put it in himself. Keys got locked in the truck. Sent someone out. I know there's a extra key or 2 for each vehicle. Used to work at that location lived across the street. So I still have not received my final invoice. Saw what it was at the bank. $250 and some change. I want to speak with someone on the top. I work 2 part time jobs. Was homeless for a year due to a bad divorce. The customer service. When we arrived we given some type of instructions but when we ask for clarification we're being dismissed. The gentleman dismissed my question. When we returned the vehicle it was hard to do so due lack of parking space.

My experience with U-Haul was very pleasant. The manager went above and beyond to assure my belongings were safe and worked with me when I needed help. For excellent service, dependability and a safe place to store your precious belongings U-Haul on 1500 S Blue Island is an excellent choice. Ask for Valeria the manager, she'll go above and beyond for her tenants.

Absolutely not. I was overcharged and no one was available to help me when app wasn't working. No one showed up to the location and there were people waiting outside I had to tell them how horrible of an experience it was.

The truck engine light came on and flashed on and off during the time of having the truck. Afraid at any moment the truck would break down on me

Had the worst experience to get the keys for the uhaul despite having all the required document just because my license was out of state. I got the keys after 2 hours and had to ask my friend to come and help me out.

Taking pictures of the van while drivers nearly hit me with their cars on 15th street was not ideal. A safe area should be provided for customers to check in & check out their equipment, since customers do all of this now via the app.

The regular staff was great. There was one older white man that is a maintenance worker who is EXTREMELY misogynistic and inappropriate. Made a lot of incredibly insulting and sexist comments with no provocation. I had to have his help to cut off an old lock and was extremely uncomfortable the entire time with the weird things he said, as was the female front office worker. She had to apologize for him several times. He alone was enough for me to want to never come back here.

When I picked up the cargo truck (which was new and awesome) they didn't tell me where to drop it off, so that added frustrating time upon return.

I had to sleep in a U-Haul with my 5 kids all night it was every uncomfortable because I couldn’t get in the storage unit and I had until 11:00pm to be out the apartment I was renting so o couldn’t sleep there I was being transported to a homeless shelter but I couldn’t go because I was rented I unit that was already someone else’s so I had to wait until they open at 9:00am.

There is no parking lot. The agent told me to return the van on the street, and that there is always plenty of available space. However, I had to drive around for 20 minutes until a spot opened up. Then on top of it, there is a short in the van, and the headlights remain on, no matter what you do. I had to wait 30 minutes after I turned the vehicle off for the lights to turn off.

Valerie is excellent. She explains things simply. clearly and patiently. She has a good speaking voice. The entry sensor is difficult to reach. It should be arched out and towards the arriving cars. The high rise building that I park my car in has the sensor arching out from the complete unit and it is much easier to reach and use.

U-Haul bought out the storage company that I was using. They had no record of my past payments or rate. I went from paying $35 to $80 a month for the unit that I was already in. Therefore, I moved out.

I recently stoped over to uhaul to pay my bill and also to receive the new lock that is required for the units valerie was very informative on the new policies and helpful on any questions i had but i noticed the rate for the 5by 10 units listed on the sign was 79,99 and im paying 99 if that rate is for newcomers i would like to think the established unit renters deserve that 79,99 rate i truly hope that their would be no rate increases in the near futre or beyond the rate increased a few times in the previous years i truely hope that the current rate will last awhile respectfully Gary D

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone trying to rent a uhaul or van, the staff was very respectful helpful and smooth.
