BRENT BOYLEI did all the pre-check items to expedite the rental online. Had to go through 45 minutes of more questioning at the location to get the rental. Such a waste of time. 2 people working and I was the only customer.

Belinda ColeLow tire sensor was bad so constantly showed that you have a low tire. Handle on drivers window was broken making it hard to roll down or up. The arrow on the little gas mileage gauge that tells you to keep it in the green area to save gas was sitting at the halfway point even when sitting still so when you barely accelerate it goes into the red. All minor things but should be fixed.

When arriving at new agreed upon location at agreed upon time, no employee was present and the office was locked. Employee showed up an hour later than posted opening time, causing my moving arrangements to be delayed by a total of 2 hours. GM of the site at 411 loop 323 did not answer or respond to messages in the posted number at the location either. This 2 hour delay caused rippling negative effects throughout the day, effectively de-railing any plans that were pre-arranged. The overall experience because of this was terrible.

I drove like a crazy person to find them before the noon cut-off time. When I called her back to tell her where they were, she had found them but didn't bother to call and tell me. My son had dropped them in the slot. She caused me extreme stress and worry for no reason.

SHARLYN CALLOWAY | Expérience généraleWindows were not sealed correctly so the cabin was noisy because air was coming in and when I got stuck driving through the thunderstorm where all the air was coming in was now rain coming in and getting me all wet. No cruise control, not sure if that is in all u-hauls or just that particular one that I was blessed with to travel almost 500 miles with. None of the outlets would work so I could not charge my phone so I also drove across Texas with a dead phone in a thunderstorm with hail and lightening. Thank you for an experience I would wish on no one!

Laura ShieldsQuoted 0,79 a mile on the phone. Had to pay 0,99 mile. Established mileage was 7 miles off. The gas on contract said tank was 7/8 full. The actual tank was less than 3/4. Got pictures. The initial person that waited on me was almost non verbal. Hard to understand and acted like he did not want to be there. So after having to bring the gas level up and correct the 7 established miles I figured gas mileage at 5,6 miles to the gallon. Doesn't set well with a person on a fixed income. The person that checked me back in was quite efficient but did not adjust my issue I will remember next time I need a rental. Ronnie Humphrey.

Andy ReedThe location where I was expected to park the trailer was cramped by trucks directly across the drive yet there was plenty of room to redesign the parking configuration to make it much more practical. When I was trying to park in an open location that was not as cramped I was yelled at and told that if I did not like where I was told to park the trailer I could take it somewhere else. The spot I was trying to put it in was reserved for them to park their cars! There were 3 individuals in my face being rude, one of which said he didn't even work there, but was welcomed by the others as part of the gang that were ganged up against me in my contentment against their reluctance to make a safer solution to parking my trailer. It was the worst I have ever been treated as a customer to my memory.

Chris WashburnI had no issues with the rental itself. I left my tv remote in the center console. I called at 8:59 AM this morning to collect it but there was no answer. My call was forwarded to the centralized call center. The agent attempted to call but again there was no answer. The agent sent a message to the local office to call me. I had not received a call by 10:30, so I went to the facility. The worker was not motivated to help and asked for the truck number. I gave him my information while I attempted to look up the information. After about 5 minutes, I located the truck number but he said it was already rented out again.

Tarva SmithThe manager was too busy on the phone trying to take care of me. I just buried my husband and had driven from Houston and went straight there. I had been on the app which wouldn't go through. I had called the 800# for an hour and could get the reservation to work. I had to have a tow dolly. In the app it was $69. the Mngr. Said a regular trailer to tow it was only $10. more. That was a lie. She charged me $99.. then on top of that I told her I was alone and couldn't take the truck I'd be back in the morning. I asked what time she opened she said 7. I said I'll be here at 8. She asked if I needed someone to help with the trailer, I said yes, she said I'll have someone here to do it for you. Charged for that. Then she handed me the contract after going over it so fast it was like a recording on high speed. Then handed me the key. I left went home to rest. Got there on the 19th before 8 am. She's outside so I stopped to tell her I was there to pick up the truck. Can't take the car trailer yet since the ramp can't come down to load. I'd be back to get it before 7. Left my car there all day. Went and loaded got back there to notice the contract said I had picked the truck up the night before. I told her there was no way I could get back to Houston( 5 hrs) away, unload, and get that equipment to Red Bluff by 3:36 pm. She started raising her voice at me, twisting the events in the conversations saying I did pick it up if she handed me the key the night before, whether I got the truck or not! Accused me of being rude when it was me trying to explain I didn't get why she gave me the key. I clearly told her first I can't load the trailer, and can't pick any up till 8 the next morning. She continued to raise her voice and tell me it's too bad! Do you still want the car trailer or not??? Then the guy that attempted to hook it up couldn't. He had to have her do it. It was the ugliest, oldest beat up pc of equipment in the yard. The truck was hard to drive, way too much sway in the steering wheel and gear shift. Nightmare driving it. The ramps were stuck couldn't get the right one to come down from rust. Then drive 6 1/2 hrs to get back to Houston and I was so stressed from the entire negative experience I had to call Red Bluff and pay for another day. I've used Uhaul for over 40 yrs. And the way this woman manipulated the rental I'll never use you again! The most vial, narcissistic behavior I've ever experienced in a retail sale. I've been in customer service since I was 15. I'm fixing to be 67. I'm the customer , not your servant. There's more I just don't want to talk about any longer. And the 800# do it yourself, is a joke! I paid a $138. in gas to get that pc of junk to Houston. It's the last time I use you! Mainly because of her…. Good luck!
Tarva SmithWe showed up to rent a trailer and this GM was just plain rude. The GM had a hard time even preforming the rental and it took multiple tries which she got more rude the more she tried. She never explained where to put the trailer when we were done so you think I would be safe putting it in the return lane but man was I wrong. Since she was rude and slow during the rental, I didn't want to deal with them so when we returned we pulled up next to the return lane and I started the mobile return. I was half way through when this GM came out of the office with not even a hello and demanded that I hook this trailer back up and we move it for her. I told her was this not the return lane since it is mark right there and I was informed very rudely that it was not the trailer return lane which she never explained when we picked up the trailer and that I had to move it because it couldn't go there. When I hooked it back up and took it where she said she dragged it into place without checking anything. I was then told I could either finish the return myself or I would have to come into the office. Since when can I not return a trailer in the return lane? and I told her when she came out that I was almost done with it already so why make me spend more time hooking it back up instead letting me finish the return and preform a level 1 like you are supposed to then put it back. I will not be using this U-Haul again. I rather go to dealers when deal with a rude GM what doesn't know how to do basic customer service. I really hope she isn't the one trailer the other employees.

Roschell WebbNo major issues with this location, except no clearly marked key drop box. Maybe it was obvious and I missed it. How I got to this location, different. I set up 24/7 at a location near me, I arrive at location for pick and I was unable to check in. After talking with a phone rep, keys were not placed in lock box. The rep was good and helpful in getting me setup for another location and upgraded size of truck at no additional charge. It was helpful she was able to locate a truck for me that night. However, I did not need an upgraded size, I chose original location so I did not have to drive an additional 40 miles and not have to pay that additional mileage.

One staff member was inebriated or under some sort of influence and was unable to open the store as a result. The General (Uvanda) and Area (Matt) managers were extremely rude and disrespectful. My reservation that should have only taken me about 1-2 hours to receive and load and be on my way took more than 5 hours due to staff absence, lack of communication and response, and unprofessionalism. The General Manager threatened to call law enforcement on me simply because after 5 hours, when she decided to show up at her job, I asked her if she would hurry so that I could go. She would not and actually had me just standing there while her report was loading and when I asked how much longer it would take she said "Oh, I'm done with you" in a very much disregarding and disrespectful tone. Prior to this, the Area Manager, Matt, hung up in my face after yelling "Well, then just don't get the truck!" when I was seeking resolve as a customer for such inconveniences. My overall experience has been absolutely horrible and frustrating, and I will likely never use U-haul again.

We paid for key fobs monthly to get thru the gate, and they rarely if ever worked. The final straw was we wanted an additional unit, and called towards the end of September to secure it. We were told we would get a unit after the first of the month. After the 1st of October we called and kept getting put further and further back, the representatives saying they just needed to empty the unit. After 3 weeks of calling daily, if not multiple times a day, they still didn't have it ready, and at this point we were weeks behind getting our employee set up to work, we got a unit across the street at a new competitor... and then proceeded to move our current 2 units as well. Even though we had emptied and notified the staff well before the billing date, we were still charged another month for both units.

The employees that I talked to most recently were absolutely amazing, their personalities were contagious and absolutely delightful. I just can't stand uhall. The price rises are praying on people's out of sight out of mind. It's kinda annoying to watch the price consistently rise dispute the facility most definitely being paid off. having an understanding of how much $100 is as my WEEKLY grocery bill is more than $100 pisses me off knowing some people have no choice but to store their things for extended periods of time as the units price constantly makes it more difficult to get back in the position to be able to empty out the units. This seems like a trap for people who are struggling to fix themselves financially especially in the current economy. If you want people to move out or give an extra push to keep the occupancy more manageable, try starting with text notifications or at least some kinda of reminder for people about the unit they have. So would I refer uhall to a friend? no. Maybe to my worst enemy but even then I'd feel guilty.
