Provide the correct equipment at the reserved time!! Don’t arbitrarily change the reservation and tell the customer they are just out of luck when it’s time to pick up!

The staff both checking in and checking out were friendly and helpful. I had to add a driver and the staff member on the phone helped set everything up and had me call back once the pictures were sent in online and double checked everything was okay. Great experience.

Super inconvenient to pay overdraft fees on the account that payment was withdrawn from and not receiving the month for free when I had to take days off of work to move belongings due to no wrong of my owns.

Richard RTrailer was literally covered in thick mud. I reserved the trailer 12 days in advance, but they said "we didn't have time to clean it." I took the trailer, but felt forced to clean it so I wasn't dropping mud and rocks on the highway behind me.

SIDNEY LI had an overall excellent experience. With that being said I would replace the dolly tire straps they worked for me but definitely need to be upgraded. I would also beef up the tires on the back of the uhaul itself at least in the icy winter months. Again everything work out great for me and I appreciate your help and services.
Alexander CI'm really upset on how my U-box was stored while working to get into my new place. The website specifically stated that my U-box would be stored indoors in a temperature-controlled environment. I moved to Duluth, MN where we've had cold snaps bringing the outdoor temperature down to -26 as the highest for the day. My things were stored at Tower Ave in Superior, WI which is a 15 minute drive over. I assumed the entire time my box was being stored indoors. Turns out, that probably wasn't the case. I accessed my box to finally move into our permanent place on a Tuesday. I was told by a worker that the box would be brought inside around 7pm. On Wednesday, we called to see if we could same-day access it. The lady was a bit snippy over the phone saying it was same-day and wasn't possible. Fair enough, I knew there was a chance it was a no. However, I drove by after work to see if it was even put indoors. My box was still outside. So not only was the woman answering the phone condescending for no reason, nobody ever brought my box inside. Sure enough, I drove by every day after work the rest of the week, and found my box was never brought indoors. I paid over 2k for people to care for my objects and do the job that they agreed they were okay with being paid to do. Bringing my things indoors isn't difficult and isn't hard and this isn't a region that has mild winter temperatures. I'm extremely unhappy and will not be using Uhaul again for any of my objects or any of my storage needs. I'm upset at the lack of care that I paid people to have for my things ultimately meant nothing despite that being the job they were hired for.
benjamin sGreat team. Knowledgeable. My only complaint with Uhaul in general are the hidden fees. I reserved online, the check out sheet said $38.xx plus mileage due on arrival. My round trip was 29 miles at $1,09 per mile. My bill was over $100. My math was $70 plus tax. Not sure what the extra $20+ was for but I needed the equipment so it is what it is. Other than that, good experience in the Superior location.

Nancy KI rented the unit on the 27th of September. Emptied it on November 30th. To not pro-rate and refund for the unused days, especially when it is almost an entire month feels like robbery. For that reason is why I said staff was not helpful, although they were not rude. I spoke with the staff in person but was told they can't pro-rate... I still believe that is a terrible policy.

CLINTON LOur plans were very sudden and unexpected. I called the U haul place about 10 minutes before we went to pick the car dolly up. There was only one left that could leave the state and I thank whoever I talked to that reserved the u haul for me! Will most definitely go through them again if needed to.
VINCENT SThe driver's side mirror was loose so it was difficult to change lanes. We had to tighten it up before heading out to our destination. Otherwise, all was well surprised that there wasn't cruise control as we were on many freeways. That would have helped immensely.

Lyle S | Expérience généraleI received the emails with my storage number and my security code, but when I arrived, I wasn't sure where the key pads were to enter my code so I set off the alarm the first several times I opened or closed my storage unit door. The pad was pointed out to me by my cousin who happened to be there visiting his own storage unit at the time. Not a problem, but could be helpful to add the location of the security pads along with the floorplan. . Either that or I need to actually look better if it's already listed on the info. Thanks for a pain free, online and move in process.

So I was unable to get it all out on the day I was going to. But overall the experience was great. I would like to note that autopay should be something selected by the rentee not by the company by default when you go to make a payment. Very frustrating having to try to get a hold of someone to reverse the charges. Also one time my charges were not reversed and I had to rebudget my finances due to this mishap.

karl v | Expérience généraleWell I paid for my locker and a lock but I didn’t receive the lock that I paid for but a cheaper one and was told to come back and get the one I purchased in 3 days and I had to argue with them about getting the lock I paid for with my receipt and still didn’t get what I paid for and was also told that they wouldn’t put my locker up for auction as I had talked to Megan as I had lost my job and was paying what I could on it until I got mail stating I was really behind with my payment so I’m not sure if my small payments were even being applied to my account I have talked to the staff about this issue and seemed as if they didn’t care or had an excuse as to why my in store cash payments weren’t applied to my account needless to say my locker went up for auction and I lost my items and I don’t agree with the staff there being able to go through the lockers before it’s actioned off for slim to nothing when you can offer the owner a discount or a payment plan to pay it without it getting sold for $10 and I don’t agree you take less then what’s owed on the unit I will not be using uhaul storage or tell anyone anything good about uhaul storage sorry but not sorry

Constant battle with late fees ($15 turned into $20) and denied access with my card and double locks, lein threats, etc. Lady at the call center said they're were amenable to working with payments especially due to COVID and we would have fees waived for signing up for auto pay (never happened). When I altered the staff that I was intending on switching he was rude and condescending. He scoff that these would we difficulties with merit and simply appealed to fear stating my "stuff will get moldy" with the new storage company. Rather than being helpful or even trying to work out the payment difficulties, he said to let him know when I'm out and walked away. I feel he missed a valuable opportunity to retain me as a loyal customer with his lack of concern for customer service and poor ability to build rapport. I would suggest in the future that this facility could utilize customer service and personal sales training. I have a strong background in marketing and business and would happily provide suggestions or insight into ways that this interaction could have been made positive and ultimately secured my loyalty as a customer and even possibly created an upsale for this facility. In the future, please do not appeal to fear as the rule, it is the weakest form of persuasion. I could have been swayed to change my decision if the individual had approached the entire thing (at least pretending) to have my best interests and the interests of my belongings in mind. For example, asking me if I had sentimental photos or valuables in my locker that were not otherwise protected from the elements or insured elsewhere.
Samantha P | Expérience généraleI like the reuse of an old Kmart building for self storage. It's a great idea and provides a lot of space. I think U-Haul should do this to all the old Kmarts!!! The storage security is excellent and gives me piece of mind. Each unit has an alarm and there are cameras everywhere. Indoor loading and unloading is AWESOME!!! For all this the prices are similar or less than other much less secure storage facilities.. My whole experience with staff was excellent as well. They informed me on important policies and made everything easy.

We were able to get a storage unit in one day, move all the items in on one day, and know that all the items were safe and secure. It is an impressive operation and if we ever need a storage place again we would use this one.

They also did not inform us there was a charge for the advertised 24 hour access and second code, and would not pick up the after hours phone a short while after closing. After everything, I am definitely finding a new storage unit.

My concern first came when they got me mixed up with another customer and even called me at one point to come and take my lock off because I had canceled (I had not at that time). My other concern was I apparently did not secure my lock properly and got an email informing me as such. I appreciated them alerting me to my mistake however they also told me if I did not get up there "asap" they would have to drill a new hole and charge me $50. With not be provided with an exact time frame I panicked and left work to go adjust it. I feel given some sort of time frame of one hour to 24 hours would have been sufficient and not simply"asap".
