When I spoke to the owner this morning, I forgot to tell her that, in addition to all the other issues I experienced with the check out process, the carpeting in the floor of the van we received was soaking wet! Something was leaking and dripping in the back of the van.

This facility bailed me out of what could have been a major problem. My initial reservation was with the facility on Talmadge Road in Akron. When I showed up, they told me they just rented out their 10' truck. They said I was "bumped" by someone else with a reservation. My reservation was for 11am, but I called earlier in the day to update that time to 12pm noon. I showed up at noon and the truck was gone. They were helpful by checking the network and finding me a 15' nearby (at 237 Fountain). The 15' was much more difficult to navigate, but it was better than having to throw away everything I needed to move out of my daughter's dorm room.

The employee was a nice man, however; he didn't check the lights before we left-and as it turns out one of the brake lights were out. I did also have to wait a little less than 10 minutes before anyone came to the desk to wait on me. Not the best customer service here at this location.

Not enough people helping customers 1 lady was doing all the check ins there were 5 people in line 2 other people working there but one was moping the floor instead of helping customers, the other was on computer ,poor customer service ,too long of a wait ,then I reserved a dolly but then had nine avalible ,so I had to go elseware for a dolly ,dont book it if u dont have 1 avalible ,

Dead mice in my storage

Staff was very efficient, but was very flat in tone and expression. I think it is a little ridiculous that you will be charged 4,5 a gallon if you return the truck with less than it started with, but you will be started with a truck that has a quarter tank. We filled up the truck and ended up only using 1/8 of a tank, without any reimbursement. You couldn't even offer back maybe a dollar or two per gallon back? These trucks are really fuel efficient apparently.

Given that this building is very old, it was clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. With the history of using your trucks and facilities in different states over the years, I only recommend these products at certain locations, This location should upgrade to better truck repair and upkeep maintenance for older trucks. I brought back a brand new truck in 2024 at the loss of another state Uhaul location because of being stranded with a very poorly maintenanced truck from this location. Outside of that, things turned out good and worked out. I will continue use of Uhaul for my needs.

Drop off was wonderful. The lady was awesome at the storage unit that we rented storage from. Where we picked the vehicle up in Akron Ohio was absolutely terrible. She marked off more gas than what I had in the truck. She was rude and inconsiderate and could give two shits about her job. If I was going to recommend anyone in Akron Ohio to rent U-Haul from, it would not be her.

I stored a sectional sofa there until I could sell it. When the first potential buyer came to veiw the set, he pointed out a dead rodent on the ground, inside of the unit! Disgusting and embarrassing even for a basement unit. We called and the staff were kind and offered to meet us there to remove it during business hours.

Having truck checked & ready upon arrival for defects. Knowingly supplied a truck with the seal on passenger door 75 % disconnected & folded on floor which presented a fall hazard getting out of truck. Truck cabin was dirty.

Please provide better, more timely notification about issues with equipment availability prior to the scheduled pickup. Showing up at the appointed time and location to find out the reserved vehicle is not available is an unpleasant surprise.

The previous driver hit a hill there was mud in the step the inside was full of glass and there were 420 ft trucks and I wanted a 20-footer and they wouldn't rent one to me they said they were all reserved so I had to get a 26 footer

After paying the truck rental fee, truck rental insurance, plus $100 truck rental deposit, in another city before arriving to the uhaul self storage in this city, I was not happy with having to pay the $100 truck rental deposit on top the rental and insurance upfront, but when I heard of the promotion of getting the 1st month free rental on the self storage unit, with the truck rental, I gladly paid it! I would have preferred to have gotten my $100 truck rental deposit minus the mileage charge on the same day of the rental truck return, instead of a few days later! Despite a few hiccups throughout rental process, I got what I needed to do done and I am satisfied!

I did not get the trailer I reserved, resulting in making two trips instead of just one. The dude was the slowest person I've ever met. He was very nice. I think he could use some training. We showed up at 4:15, didn't get out of there till 5:30, which was ridiculous, I was the only one there! Also the parking lot had net been plowed, had atleast 6" of snow on it and I stuck once but atleast I had 4wd.

The gentleman behind the counter was extremely nice and I didn't have any issues with him... Unfortunately, everything else was awful. The truck was FILTHY and the trailer looked like it barely survived a trip to Afghanistan.

Davon Movers were excellent and easy to work with. I would highly recommend them and use them again. The only issue was the availability of packing blankets at the Kent site. Overall a good experience.

Great renting experience. The staff at this location is extremely friendly and fair priced. I have rented trailers at the Vernon Odom location in Akron the staff is always rude. I tried to rent a 6 by 12:00 and close trailer because it was raining and they were going to charge me $80 and did not want me to drop it off at the same location so I could be charged out of town towing rates. I only ended up paying $29 at this location I had an awesome experience with customer service. I highly recommend this location for any future rentals.

This facility handled my truck issue. It was replaced with a better one after stranded in another state.Roadside assistance was prompt. Everything was handled and resolved quickly after a couple more calls. Staff was kind. I was given more time to unload and moved in storage with no issues. Thanks for fixing the problems!

This is my second time renting from this location and no appliance dollie available. The first time we were charged for a utility dollie which was no help at all. I had to travel to another location to get an Appliance dollie. That's the only reason I would not recommend this location.

My only issue with pickup is that I booked the trailer at a u-Haul near me and had to drive about five miles to pick it up at another u-Haul.

Cant use the storage after a certain time was told to pay for 24 hours access but there is no 24 hour access. The rented me a truck with no gas and ask me to return with a 1/4 tank to receive 25 dollars back but instead attempted to charge me 25 dollars more

Mice damaged a lot of my items, although there was a trap in there it didn't serve its purpose. My son checked the trap and there was nothing in it to trap them. Other than that the staff were great!

The back gate was never secured and mostly just falling down. I'm aware that the front gate was always left open anyway but the back gate being left broken in the back, invites trouble especially in that neighborhood. Other than that everything was great. The young man at the desk was always nice.

I just feel like, when asked for them to work with me on my storage it didn't happen. I explained to them that I was going through a difficult time and that I just ask for a little more time. When calling them to see if they could work with me to catch up on it. I always got told something different from different people, all the way up until I lost it. I lost everything in that storage. The reason why I got behind was because I lost my husband and I didn't have any help doing that time.

While loading the leftover stuff that didn't fit into the 1 way rental, that staff went into my storage unit and told me that I could not put certain things into the unit which was very concerning to me. He was rude & said I should have reviewed the contract but if certain things weren't allowed I would have that they would have asked or even mentioned it. My things were there 2 weeks, won't ever use or recommend them to anyone!

The individual person who rented me the unit did not tell me it had a lock on it.. I had to go back to the truck get the information who customer service to find out the number to the lock that was on the back of the truck that I used. I lost precious hours of man help.

I opened the door to my unit and it was covered in mouse feces and dead bugs. A mouse trap is in the corner. It is incredibly disgusting. There was a hole in wall at base board level that probably lets the vermin and insects in.

The staff is just plain not very friendly. There's just no way around it. From set up with the storage unit, stopping in to be by boxes and other supplies, to finally closing out the unit when I was done. They're just not the slightest bit friendly. Not greeted when I walk up, no "thank you", and simply nothing but the bare minimum in any interaction. It fascinated me every time just how unfriendly they were. I've used other facilities in the area and did not have the same experience, so it's definitely unique to this one.

I wrote a pretty scathing google review of this place recently. I'll defer to that. Staff that won't greet customers. I went in there yesterday and the office was empty of employees for ten whole minutes. Probably the worst customer service I've ever had. Was told like a week ago that mold on my stuff I'd had in storage for a year was my problem. Offered no assistance. Told me to call RepWest and the employee didn't even know what it was. Completely inarticulate when it came to specifics of their job.

The swipe card never works, I opened my unit and went to my car. Came back to go in and the door locked and the swipe card then said no access. Had to leave my unit open until the next day.
