NICHOLAS PARISIFirst enclosed trailer I hooked up to had no working right turn/brake light. Pleas check your equipment. Switched to a different trailer. Everything was fine. So fine that I am recommending that our church get rid our church trailer which is a maintenance nightmare and just rent from U Haul!!

Jody davisEverything went perfectly. My only complaint is that the brackets on the wood container barely aligned and were attached with regular screws. Anyone with a power screwdriver could have removed the brackets and stolen our stuff.
Brandi WilliamsPlease have a foldable hydraulic leg attached to the hitch area of trailer to easily lift and remove it from the ball hitch. Very heavy and difficult both when installing it by your staff and removing the trailer from trailer hitch by driver.
Sassan TarahomiMy experience was not good because I had expeditions for the self serve system to work, and it did not work for me. I had an early morning self-serve arrival and a late-night self-serve drop off. I nearly froze my fingers off trying to get the code on the lock box on the truck, which didn't work. Thankfully, there was a kind and helpful staffer there early and he was able to get me a different truck. During drop off, I could not find the drop box to safe my life, again in freezing cold. I walked around the lot, drove around the lot, looked on the building for signs, and at the point of desperation I decided to walk up to a sign that was near the rear of the building, behind a row of parked trucks and finally found the key drop box. I recommend better lighting and signs pointing to this location, and signs that won't be hidden my parked trucks. This visit was rough, U-HAUL. I don't think I will be doing self service again.

Philip PittThis location needs to improve their after our services. When I was dropping off my U-Haul, I cannot find the key box. I went inside the storage unit thinking that I will find someone who could help me and nobody was there. I called multiple times, and even press the call servicebutton at the door and nobody was there to assist. Dropping off the U-Haul was overall stressful and I would never want to drop it off again after hours.
Ajanae Clark-DavisI could not have been more disappointed in the uhaul box, the barrage of constant emails and the difficult delivery process. First the box arrived on time, but it was junk, a plywood box with a tarp over it. The box itself was so crooked because it was coming apart that you need 2 people to close the door as one has to lift it and the other person direct the door. This made loading impossible with less than 2 people as you have to have help to close the door, which resulted in me only being able to load it half full because I couldn't get anyone to come over to help me close the door on short notice. I have pictures to show how misaligned it was, additionally the back wall was so loose that there was over an inch gap at the bottom which allowed noisture to get in and the bottom of boxes got wet. I was also dismayed at the frequent emails, from start to finish I received 31 emails, I didn't make any changes that was just constant automated emailing. On delivery in FL, I had selected that I wouldn't be present for drop off and provided pictures of my driveway. But the delivery driver and drop-off location/store called several times because I wasn't answering the door and they subsequently didn't deliver, I called and spoke to a manager to assure delivery the next day without my presence. The next day, again the driver called and said I wasn't answering the door, I was able to text them back and requested delivery without me being there and they finally did. That same night I got a text that the box would be picked up the following day!!! Whaaat!?! I was told that I paid a months rent and I would set up the pick up date and the month didn't expire for over 2 weeks. After lengthy calls with customer service they finally changed pick up to reflect a later date, since I wouldn't be home for several days. Will not be using uhaul again.

Robert PyleWhen I picked up my rental the Uhaul system was down which delayed my day by an hour (obviously not this locations fault), however, once I did finally get home with the truck the back door was frozen shut (took some time to get it open, another set back) AND the windshield wipers were absolutely terrible in the snow as the entire wiper blade did not come in contact with the windshield, these two issues I believe are the responsibility of this location.

Last time that I had look in my storage unit was the last week of Feb. Or 1st week of March. Someone think broke into my storage unit. Or, had the key to go in. Their, is on top a space where you can throw stuff over fence. The lady worker- Susan worker had seen it too. It's like a gap. That should have never happen their. Then, in papers states: that storage units are to be cleaned. Seen 2 dead flies in the unit- 1812. Found out from the worker- Susan that the older lady that used to clean good 3 days out of the weeks are not their anymore. Returned the card . Storage unit. Was to do that. Close it up. Overall, my unit had someone in their, or, someone threw stuff in their, other side of fence top. Paige West was told of it. Would like to come back as a return customer. Some things have to be addressed. The unit, flies on floor. Cleaning of the units. The stuff in the unit- helmet and towels. Could I get some discounts- next time. Merci!

Upon arrival I was told they only had a 5'-5" unless I wanted to go to the other facility. Were I had previously had used. A lot of my things were stolen at that location. So, I had to go with the smaller unit, and had to have most of my stuff stored at my sons house...which was an inconvenience to him. I will not use Uhaul storage again.

I called the office and explained that the unit was never used and was empty and that I had lost the key to cut the lock. I do NOT have access to a car and am disabled. The office staff continued to bill me afer I cancelled the unit. I have made a complaint to the BBB and will be making a complaint about being discriminated against because I am disabled. Then I was given a reprogrammed used access card. When I get to my unit there is a lien lock and customer lock. They then open their lock and cut the old lock off, and there was an old mattress in the unit I had reserved.

Trying to get storage unit situated they left truck on which I didn't know was on and went from Wayne rd to Newburgh and brought back which should be very near gas line and I was charged $20. That was after having a similar problem with another uhaul location to get a truck. I don't think I'll ever use uhaul again. Too much inconvenience even after I had planned well ahead.

The staff were understanding when payments were late after countless shut downs in the area related to Covid after our move to a new city! To boot, our family was allowed move out time due to Covid affecting myself personally bc we personally couldn't do the move ourselves, our family was allowed to get our items moved to our new house without stress of worrying about storage issues. Through all of this, I didn't expect a refund let alone the option not to pay at all and 5 days for my family to move me out! That's exceptional if you ask me! It made a horrible transition perfect!

Linda Dowton | Expérience généraleThis is an extremely convenient facility in terms of location. The staff is very friendly. The indoor, drive-in garage access was great for secure loading and unloading. Unfortunately, I had several issues with my unit(s). The first unit reeked of urine and had dried urine stains on the floor. There was no way I could place my items there. Upon reporting this, the staff immediately switched me to another unit. The second appeared clean and was in a location much closer to the loading area. I soon realized the reason why this unit was probably vacant and available. A few days after a major rainstorm, I picked up a few items to find they were soaked and the floor of the unit was wet. I looked up to find that there were two large holes in the ceiling directly over my unit and the rain came in through the roof on top of my items. I reported this immediately and was told to take pictures of the damage for my records and that a manager would call me. Another week went by and I had not heard from anyone. I went back to the store and again was told a manager would call me. Two days later, I called the location. Someone from the call center(?) answered and stated that the store was swamped, but that they would place notes in the system and have someone contact me. Finally, after moving everything out, I once again went inside the store and I was told that there were multiple notes left on my account and the manager would call me. This was a total of four times and I have yet to hear from anyone. This review site specifically asks customers to "Please contact the U-Haul Storage Facility and try to resolve any disputes before leaving feedback". Unfortunately, I have found that the process requested doesn't work as I have tried to resolve directly with the store. My next step is to contact the corporate headquarters and file a formal complaint.

TISHIA ROGERS | Premières impressionsWent to the Westland facility to rent a storage unit as we had received a free month after renting a uhaul trailer. The guy that waited on me said there wasn't a reservation in my name. Went to my car to grab my phone to show him the email confirmation. When I returned, he was waiting on another customer. I moved to the next window. The lady pulled my reservation up immediately. The reservation proceeded and we purchased a lock. The lady waiting on me asked the male employee to make sure the storage unit had been swept out. He left the counter and never returned. The female employee walked me thru the steps of using the key card upon entering and leaving the unit. Still, the male employee didn't return to let us know the unit was ready. We decided to drive to the unit with our storage and found that there were 3 locks on the door. Clearly the male employee never checked the unit to make sure it was swept out. We went back to the office to be told that someone checked into that unit by mistake and that there were no other units available. We were refunded the cost of the lock and left since the female employee wasn't willing to assist us in locating another unit to rent at another facility. As I left the building, I noticed the male employee pacing back and forth in the garage while talking on his cell phone. Obviously, he had a personal situation to take care of rather than doing his job. We did find another facility that had storage available, however, they were unwilling to accept the free month of storage that we should of had at the Westland facility. Poor customer service!

So I was frustrated because I ended up having to size up a unit and pay more. The staff I was working with was not helpful at all. The place is a wonderful facility overall.
