I didn't like that he verified my secondary phone number without telling me that he would be calling right away (my secondary was riding his motorcycle at the time and i would have liked a heads up). He also messed up my reservation. I was very clear about the number of miles I would be driving , but then he quoted the wrong number of miles. I ended up with a massive upcharge when returning the vehicle.

I ran into a lot of systems issues unfortunately; they couldn't find my reservation despite me having a confirmation email with an assigned unit, the security card stopped working for me and the system wouldn't let them program a new one, there was confusion on their end about which unit my stuff was actually in. I didn't like the policy that I couldn't use a lock of my own choice. I had a really nice lock that uses a key, but was told I had to use one with the letter combo or number combo method. Well, I bought a word/letter lock from uhaul, set it up, took a picture of the word I chose, and made sure I could lock/unlock it both on and off the door several times. 20 days later I show up, put the code in, and the lock bar won't budge more than a millimeter. They ended up having to get an angle grinder to cut the lock off. TL;DR STAFF WAS AMAZING, SYSTEM AND LOCK WERE BAD

Bruce DI came to return the trailer that I rented and the staff was rude to me I tried to park the trailer to where it was convenient for them to just load the trailer but there was other U-Haul equipment parked in the way that was blocking the driveway from driving through so that I could drop the trailer off then they asked me to back the trailer up and I know I'm not going to back up a trailer in their parking lot that's a liability based on me and I will not put myself into that liability.

Corey S | Expérience généraleThe straps on the car hauler CAME UNDONE!!! One was frayed so short we had to let air out of a tire to work. But the cranks loosened and should not be able to. I use this type of crank routinely for loads so I'm sure they were engaged sufficiently. Tire size was modest to small. Thankfully the chains were on the axel so it stayed in. We did let the person at return know about this. The staff seemed excellent. But this could have been a big accident.

Phillip KHad some young kid who looks like he hadn't showered in six months, enter in my information with barely enough knowledge on how to use the company computer. Upon receiving my truck keys, he did not instruct me very well on where to return the truck. He then stated returning the truck is easy. Just download the U-Haul app. Have a great day. When I returned the truck, I used the app and it did not provide any of my rental information. I had to use the 24/7 chat to communicate so that they could add my information to the app which makes me believe he did not enter the information correctly on his half at the location. Overall the truck worked very well, and was returned in a timely manner, but the kid helping me seemed very careless, and non-knowledgeable

JOSEPH SJusten, the trailer technician, went above and beyond to help me with my trailer rental. He was super helpful, very knowledgeable about trailers and wiring and helped me when my brake lights weren't coming on. He knew right away that I had the wrong harness adapter and got me sorted out with the correct adapter. Give this man a raise!
JAREN JOnly thing odd was getting a text after I left the place, asking me to confirm the license plate number. I would think the U-Haul staff that hooked up the trailer could do this.

Nicholas BDespite their best efforts, the employees that assisted me were perfectly competent in every aspect. Ashley, the "General Manager", is a kind and courteous woman in every sense of the word. Truly a brilliant example of a "General Manager" if there ever was one. I did not feel under duress for even a second! Unfortunately, I feel the same cannot be said of the "Trent" at the counter, whose hair simply should've been more vibrant. His status as not "General Manager" is clearly the right choice until that hair is under control i.e more vibrant as previously stated. The dog was easily the best part, and should be given a raise post-haste. Though shes a bit greedy for attention in my opinion. Perhaps her owners should give her move love and treats. Overall. It was alright.

I thought that the price should have been for 2 days. 39,98 + My 200 miles driven. maybe $50.00.- and the Insurance for 2 days was told $22 for two days. So My total should have been only $111.98. but Instead U-Haul charged me $200 !!!!! . Almost twice the cost it should have been. of course my cost for the gas also was for 200 miles was ( $66 )

Sandi KUpon returning the equipment the employee was not very friendly and very unapproachable if that is a word. I also had been pulled over driving the uhaul I rented because it did not have a front license plate. I told the employee this and he did not seem to care one bit or offer an apology just nothing. Which I thought was very rude and not at all professional. So that just ruined it for me and that location. I hope he doesn't reflect the company's attitude because they kind of have cornered the market on rentals for moving so having the choice of going somewhere else is not an option but definitely not back to that location.

Umit IGas tank was less than 1/8 full, we had to get gas before even driving it home to pack it up. We also had to return it to the same location even though we were moving to a different state. All of the employees were very nice and helpful though.
Kristin K1. I made my reservation by phone, directly to the facility, and had to call twice, requesting for my confirmation. I never received any confirmation, only to arrive from out-of-state with a full U-Haul trailer and no reservation on file. As a result, I had to pay more for storage which was the only one available, because the one I reserved wasn't available. The situation wasn't handled professionally. 2. Too many times I waited in line 30+ minutes to be helped. Clearly, they do not have enough staff members to help when more than one customer comes in at a time. 3. I heard too many times, that their computer systems were not operating properly. Computer systems or customer service?? The staff is nice, just not well organized or properly trained. Customer service skills needs great attention for improvement. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this location.

KELLI DChecking the trailer back in was impossible. I followed the directions for checking it in, and the app made me create a profile before I could move on. Once I created it, the profile wasn't linked to my rental, so it didn't have a place to check back in. There was no QR code to scan for eady check-in. I will never try to return uhaul equipment outside of business hours again. That was a nightmare. The only great thing was the customer service I received.

Maybe analyze your busy times and add some additional people to move the customers through the process more quickly. When they are available, they know what to do and are professional. This location rents storage and trucks and associated items(hand trucks, dollys, moving blankets etc). They also sell tons of moving supplies. This is a busy location.

I was outside for 10 minutes at night in the dark feeling unsafe around 9pm, because I wasn't properly explained to check in on the right for my unit and then the left to get the door to open. However; the next day an employee helped me learn the routine and gave me a card on top of the access code. The lady before her decided to check another lady out when I came back the next day to simply ask questions about my storage unit and while I was in line, she went to count her on till and expressed "I need to get out of time of here today" this way yesterday on the 3rd. She told me directly she would check out another person before me. When I was simply in-line to ask questions. I am on a time limit as everyone else, but her customer service was rude. I told her I was in line first, and just gave a question. politely another lady helped me learn the proper way to check in and check out in less than 5 minutes. I have booked online and understand they may have thought I was there to book in person, but it is polite to check with the customer in line first, as I usually let someone go before me as a grocery store ect. I explained to the employee who actually cared that I was outside at night with people loitering and I was afraid and just didn't want to be locked out of my unit. I am so thankful for her! She had long dark hair, and I didn't get her name unfortunately but am so thankful to her as I needed to get to work by 6am the next day and she was so understanding.

The uhaul employee demanded I came down to verify nothing was leaking late on a Sunday afternoon. After driving 30 minutes to discover that NOTHING IN MY UNIT was leaking I was rather irritated. I told the employee that I have NOTHING in my unit that could leak. I was told that they looked inside my unit and seen buckets and containers that could possibly have Iquitos in them. I know what I put in my storage unit and I know there was ZERO liquids in my unit. I don't remember exactly how many phone calls I received about my unit leaking and after checking every time I found NOTHING that was leakable in my unit.

David P | Expérience généraleI was rented unit 025. I wasn't told there would be continuous dirt falling from the ceiling crevices all over my belongings. First noticed this about 1/2 year in. Was suggested that I could relocate to another unit, but at my own expense of a rental truck and manpower. So all I took them up on was a plastic cover for my Ikea mattress, which was already soiled by the dirt falling. Also there was one spot on it indicating something wet dripping from the ceiling, onto something else, before landing on the Ikea mattress. When moving everything out, there was evidence of a moisture issue toward the back of the unit, on boxes in that area. And I brought a hand broom in hopes of brushing off all the dirt from the boxes & bins. That proved to be too time-consuming to continue throughout the move, if we wanted to complete it in a timely manner, so as I organize all of it in it's new location, I'll have to wipe down the bins & box tops. Very disappointed.

I am just not happy on how you make a reservation on line for a unit expecting to get that one when you get there with that price and you get something completely different for more money. The gal that checked me in stated they didn't have that one available. So why did I reserve it in the 1st place ? It was significantly more expensive than the one I reserved. This is the reason I only kept it for a couple months before moving my stuff out. Not happy about that as I did try to email a manager and have yet to receive a response and I moved my stuff in in October 2021. And it is now December 2021.

I was easily able to extend the truck rental by 26 hours when the timing of the move demanded it. I would highly recommend UHaul.

They charge fees because their computers systems fail thus they feel they are entitled to keep them. It's an essential service if you want to get ripped off.. my opinion of my experience.

On moving day when I went in to get my unit number they had no reservation on file and then told me that they were fully booked. After some searching they ended up finding me a unit but it was very stressful having a 20ft Uhaul in the parking lot and wondering if I have a unit to store my belongings in. Then a few days after I moved everything in they called because apparently there is a bolt missing from the lock mechanism of my unit so now I have to make time to go back down there so they can repair that. I made an appointment but then received a call to see if it can be done sooner but any time I call the facility I am on hold for a long period of time. My suggestion is once a unit is empty make sure nothing needs to be repaired before moving another tenant in there as to not inconvenience them!!

Moving from state to state is hard work. I was short on sleep and short on patience which isn't normal for me so my capacity to think clearly wasn't real great. Fortunately Hugh was in charge so things went as smoothly as they could have. The only thing worse than having to conduct business in my current condition was hearing that when I walked out of the U-Haul facility to get fresh air, my step son said Missy said, I was a sore thumb. My frustrations were valid and although I expressed them, I don't believe I was abusive or blaming to anyone in the process. Missy would do well learning to keep her personal opinion to herself and focus on customer satisfaction. I've always used U-Haul for moving and have never had a horrible experience; and, even though the truck got a flat tire and my storage wasn't secured online like I had thought, the worst part was hearing I was insulted behind my back but in front of one of my children. With that being mentioned I just want to note, "Thank you for your tolerance Hugh! I can totally see why they leave you in charge" and "F#€k off Missy! I hope I don't run into you during my visits to my storage. Now that you've insulted me in front of my family, I don't want to have to see you again!"

I was sadden to see that when I went to empty my storage room, my key no longer opened my lock. when i had the locked drilled, which I paid $50 to have done, when I opened the storage door my space had been ransacked, my Texaco collectibles where stolen, my grandsons electric train set had been stolen. This was heartbroken, that I had paid every month for my items to securely stored. They have cameras all over the facility which leads me to believe that this was your personnel that broke into my storage unit and stole my items, and replaced the lock, hoping that no one would find out. I will let everyone know on social media to BEWARE and not use your storage or any uhaul storage facility.

Upon my arrival, I was greeted, by a rude youg woman who was sitting behind the desk on a cell phone, who told me to go and wail by the truck and someone would be with me. After standing around for at least a hlf hour, I finally flagged down a young man who then told me I had to go inside and check in with the same woman who told me to wait outside with the truck. Mind you, I had 4 men waiting to unload the truck. By the time I arrived at the front desk, this same woman looked at my drivers license and decided the photo didn't look like me (12 year old driver's license photo, but apparently, this woman could not see the resemblance., so she asked another female coworker to have a look, as the line behind me kept getting longer. The two "Professionals" decided I should show more ID, which I did. I was not only exhausted , but by this time, I had wasted almost an hour with these people, and my crew wanted to get started unloading. Finally, another young man took over and helped us out, but by that time, I was a nervous wreck. At 70 years old, and disabled, moving under the best of conditions is difficult. By the time I left, I was in tears. No. I will not recommend the store on Andresen to anyone. I never complain like this but someone should know about the rude woman I had to deal with. I haven't experienced something like that with other storages. Also, the bay doors are closed and requires an employee to open it. Inconvenient, especially when you have to wait in line to ask them to open the door if there are other customers.
Lacresha J | Expérience généraleTook a long time to just get paperwork done because the guy at the desk continuously was answering the phone. He then put down on paperwork and a map that I was in unit 29. I tried to pull up to the unit and got blocked by an other employee in a uhaul truck. He then got out of the truck and walked back behind the truck and did something then after 5 min got back in the truck and backed up so I could squeeze by. After then backing up to unit 29 and sitting their waiting for someone to come take the uhaul lock off so I could load some stuff in to the unit, I then had to walk all the way back to the front to get someone to come back and try and unlock the unit. Then a guy came back and none of his keeys worked to unlock the lock. He left and came back 4-5 min later and said, "oh well my mani her said your in unit 34." By this time I was very irritated. All my paperwork says unit 29. And the guy said, "well 34 doesn't have a lock on it." So then I had to close up my storage pod and load up the lift gate and everything so that I could wiggle my truck around all the uhaul trucks and get the pod moved to a place that I could unload it in to the storage locker. Then I went to get the uhaul 17 ft truck that they told me I had to do all the walk around and everything from a text link. Went to open the text link and it didn't work anymore. By this time I just wanted to get out of their and get the rest of my stuff done. So I just took a bunch of pics with my phone and left. Driving that van was very difficult. The steering was so loose i had to turn the wheel 120 degrees to get it to go left and then 120 the other direction to make it go right. The brakes were horrible I had to really push them down 3/4 of the way to the floor to even start to get a little brake pressure. I didn't even dare to get close to 55 on the hwy or 35 on the service streets because Of how scratchy the brakes and steering was. I told the lady when I returned the truck how bad it was but she was done checking it in and processing the payment before I was even done talking about how it drove.
