Kevin went above and beyond to help me with getting my Car donated to Kars for Kids. He met with me on February 4 a sunday to help me with getting my storage unit open. He also assisted with the coordination of the tow truck driver for pickup of the car on February 6. Kevin is a rock star. Thanks again.

I had my storage unit for 25 years. Prior to the purchase of the business by U-haul...my time there was great, with only 1 rental fee increase. Once U-haul purchased the business and assumed ownership/management (roughly 4 years ago), U-haul has increased my monthly rental fees 4 times, with the latest increase 12-1-2023 making it 5 times. So, at that point, I find the rental of my unit no longer made any economic sense and a waste of my money. Additionally, my unit had been broken into a few months ago, the office was not accessible a few times I had visited. I would not recommend U-haul storage based on the continued rental fee increases I experienced since U-haul had assumed at my unit location.

However, since I'm in Alabama, my brother emptied out my unit. Lots of mice droppings, and smelly...being stored for over a yr. Maybe NERD more mouse deterrents, as well as smell eradication.

I have three storage units, and since u-Haul has taken over my price has been raise four times I went to a brand new storage unit. I have four of them there with a paved parking lot secure entrance for less money. I've asked the staff 3 time for my deposits back on the storage units and no one has been able to help me yesterday when I told the person that I was done with the storage unit didn't ask me how I enjoyed the experience or why I was leaving he is more interested in playing on his phone. I'd really appreciate my deposits back from all the units that I'm sure this is also falling on deaf ears. Please feel free to call me if you would like any more input.

No issues. Storage was clean and dry. The security could be better. There was gate issues with the code to open gate. Gate was left open often. Also there is damaged buildings on the site that have not been repaired. The lot has uneven gravel surface which has low spots allover that flood with water in rain. Would be nice if the lot was blacktopped. Just pointing out the observations as recommendations for improvement not as a complaint. I was satisfied with the units, the people, and the service. Thank you for finding me the right unit I needed at the time.

Website indicated the property was well lit with security cameras. One camera at the entrance with bright lighting. The lighting by the storage units was poor. The gravel storage unit roads were filled with huge potholes. Overall, I would not recommend the Prairie Hill site. A friend rents at the N 2nd Street U Haul location which is very nice. Paved roads between the units and security access code required for entry. It is also very well lit. The staff at Prairie Hill was very friendly and accommodating. That's about the best part of that location.

I'm absolutely floored at how easy it was to get in touch with the staff and how quickly they got me into my unit. I've had units in the past from other businesses and they made everything as difficult as humanly possible. This was an absolute breeze and not even a drop of stress or confusion to deal with. Everyone was always nice to me and helpful, answering any questions. Only issue was that the dumpster is locked. To keep things clean, it would be nice if customers had access to the dumpster especially when leaving/ending contract. Merci!

I had problems with the rollup door which never got fixed and during the winter you can't access your unit to much ice and snow in front of the door and I didn't care for the price change without notice maybe if my door was repaired but I wouldn't do again

When I arrived to pick up the truck, the location was initially locked. There was a locked key retrieval box, but we were never given a code. We called the number on the door and got no answer. A man finally opened the door, but said he had nothing to do with the rentals. We were finally put in touch with a customer service rep who told us they had forgotten to toggle the "contact free pickup/drop off" option. She did so and we were finally able to get the keys almost an hour after our pick up time, thus causing us to be an hour late to start the move.

On 08/08/22, I made the online reservation for 8/22/22. I received an email on 8/09 indicating my storage unit was active. Staff at the facility was friendly but unable to correct the storage reservation date. There are huge potholes filled with rain water in the gravel driveways that I was afraid to drive through. There are no security cameras besides the entrance. Not the secure facility I was hoping for. But overall, the location is convenient and I didn't want the hassle of searching for another storage unit.

The truck was dirty. Smelled like a dead animal or something. There was no room to maneuver around or to leave your vehicle. I've rented many times and this location was horrible. Anytime in the past me or my business rented trucks from other locations they are always super clean, like they've been detailed and there's always ample room to get the vehicles in/out.

The lady at location was very helpful. The truck was clean and good to go. U hauls 1 800 number took 15 min to answer uhaul.com wouldn't complete order. Home depot called and said their truck was available. They dont make me deal with corporate 1 800 people.

I went on a Sunday and they weren't actually open, I had to wait for someone to meet me to give me the key and that was after many phone calls. When I brought the van back, it had more gas than when I picked it up and they still charged me extra for gas! I will not use you again!!

The unit was very clean and I was very impressed with how well made they are. I also was very surprised that it was heated and provided a padlock inside. The best thing is I got the first month free.

I have been a customer here for over 10 years I have had more price increases sens U haul has taken over than all my years combined. The people behind the desk could care less I have been promised phone calls 3 times and never received one yet but when my debit card was hacked and my automatic payment was declined I received a phone call right away funny how that works

Most of the winter months I was unable to access my unit because large amounts of snow were plowed up against the door and it was froze shut. This is the reason I am no longer renting this unit and have moved to a nearby unit.

My only concern was when there was a fire in 1 or 2 of the units on Madison Rd. I assume the people were either storing something flammable, or it looked like it may have been an electrical fire from an outside light.?

Overcharged, misrepresented the facts about renting the van. The charge to my credit card was excessive for a 19,95 Van...My credit card has been charged for 33 more miles than what I actually used! I want it straightened it out ASAP thank you

The only reason this was not a great setup was because I had a 26 foot truck and there was really no place to put it that was good. Also, the key drop off was a little confusing because the drop box wasn't as identifiable as everything else is. It wasn't orange, and wasn't clearly marked.

The agent insisted i needed to come into the office to fill out paperwork. It appears she was not trained on the mobile pick up app. I told her nurmerous times and I showed her the mobile screen indicated walkin and get the keys and notify the agent that your rental application has been completed. She insisted that she needed to call her boss so she can get the documents signed. I was frustrated with this rental. I have never had such a challenging experience. Because of the experience today I really should get a refund. It appears none of the staff was educated regarding this rental method. Signed Frustrated!!

They took out money the day before i moved out and they wouldnt refund for the month I am a long time customer who rented 3 trucks and 3 storage units last year alone. I dont tbink this was fair. Other than that everything was all good.I tried to resolve tbis issue with them but I vot nowhere please help.
