I recently rented a vehicle There was no problem with the vehicle. However I thought I may have left an item in the cargo of the van. I called the location and spoke to a Jamaican woman at the front desk and she was VERY VERY RUDE… this is not the first time I experienced this nasty behavior from her!!! I don’t know how such people can work for a company that provides service to people! I would NEVER GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN!!! And I would Definitely not recommend this place! It’s 7:15am 10/12/2026 and she ruined my day with her UNPROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE! SHE NEEDS TO BE REPRIMANDED…. I WILL BE SENDING A EMAIL TO CORPORATE… SOMETHING DEFINITELY NEEDS TO BE DONE

The trucks were old but working. My total rental came in under $60.00 & I extended my time. Lux Moving were my recommended loaders/unloaded. I was 30 minutes late getting to them. They called twice to check my whereabouts with no attitude. I had a treadmill to drop from storage before my final destination. They didn't complain about the added drop. Unfortunately the treadmill couldn't fit the hall and they had to bring it back out. My new building said they had moving carts for use and then said they didn't. Lux Moving had to load the freight elevator using 2 very strong shopping carts to 12th floor. I had 30 boxes of various size + a queen bed. My over time bill of 2 hours was $120. for 2 movers These 2 men, Mo and another young man, worked with no dolly, an added drop-off, 2 extra hours and no attitude. I gave them both a $200.00 tip and they earned it. They were picked off Uhaul online order. Thanks guys you were amazing.

The only issue I had was that the rate that was given to me when I made the reservation was not the rate that was honored when I went to pick up the vehicle. And with all the additional fees and charges the rental became extremely costly. Not to mention the workers did not want to acknowledge the miscommunication. Uhaul needs to train their in person employees and hold them accountable when they are not working to ensure the customer is satisfied.

Those trucks need to be serviced. They are old and horrible. My truck was running like the transmission was going to go out. The door lock was so loose like it was ready to come off. Inside very dusty dingy and not properly cleaned.

The first truck that I got had a serious mechanical issue/ failure with the steering wheel. The steering wheel or wheels were so out of alignment that I had to put the steering at 90 degrees to the left to drive straight. That is a dangerous condition and the truck should not be rented to anyone in that shape or condition, it could cause an accident. I would recommend this location if and only if your team fixes that truck.

The door on the back of the truck did not lock and would fly up and down every time we hit a bump. This is not the fault of anyone in Flatbush. But I was supposed to pick up a U-Haul in prospect heights at 8am and for the second time this location did not prepare the rental and so when I went to pick up the truck they told me I would have to wait two hours until the location opened at 10am or change to another location. I can’t express how frustrating that is and how complicated it made yesterday in the work we are trying to do. Very disappointed in U-Haul overall. If you don’t have the truck ready, why did you rent it to me? If the manager can’t handle the work, then why not remove the location?

Staff was rude and not helpful. When I asked a question about van that was assigned to me and why size wise it was different from another van in the parking lot, they just said “that is your van, have a good day”. This is not an answer to a question from a customer. That is just staff saying “I do not care about your question, you have your rental, move on”.

Trucks parked on the sidewalk making it impossible for pedestrians to walk. Counter staff and person wearing shirt saying general manager were rude and seemed like they could care less about the customers. They gave me the keys to a truck and told me to go find it and take pictures. They wouldn’t even show me which truck it was. Finally the height of the truck as detailed on the internet was wrong. I couldn’t even fit what I needed to move in the truck, so it was a total waste of money.

Well for starters the agents are very slow and waste a lot of time speaking with other agents. Secondly, the first truck I got was looking run down and after I took all the pics that they requested I realized the truck could barely start and the AC was not working. So I had to wait again to repeat the process. Same thing when I returned it I was ignored and waited and waited till I could not take it no more after 15 minutes of watching the workers BS with each I said take your keys I’m leaving then I was told to leave them in the truck on the seat 😡 so thumbs down 👎 to my experience

I literally was taken through the entire rental process sat in the driver seat of the truck and then the guy started asking me how long ago I made my reservation because there was another guy claiming he should get my truck instead. This was also the second U-Haul location I had to visit because the first one just didn’t have any trucks at all. This is a horrible company and this location was especially bad.

When we arrived, the van was still being cleaned. They told us it had just come in and the previous renter had seafood in it. I really needed the vehicle, so I had no choice but to take it, but the fishy smell was strong and they definitely could’ve done a better job cleaning it out.

There were NO vehicles available even though myself and several other customers had reservations. I waited for HOURS to eventually be place in a truck. The clerk was doing her best to appease us but it wasn't much. Poorly run establishment.

I was given a truck with 3 miles of gas remaining. Check-in was chaotic, slow, and the staff had no idea what was going on, clearly almost unable to use the computers. There was a line of angry people almost out the door within 30 minutes of opening because this location is so poorly run. I will never use this location again.

The chaos and confusion of this pickup was unreal! The location was disorganized and the staff appeared barely literate, struggled with using the computer. It was crowded with minimal staff/help, they were out of basic packing supplies and did not have handcarts, although I had reserved one. This overall experience seem unreal and unbelievable at times. I seriously don’t know how they’re still in business
