Have the rental that was requested available. Waited days for a van and when I finally was able to reserve. It wasn't there.

Israel FThe process to rent is very difficult for existing customers that frequently use uhaul. There is nothing streamlined about pickup. All data that is used for renting is not held for future rentals. The app that does the sign in, doesnt even save it for the rental location and needs to be duplicated when picking up rental. The delay is not in every location, but some of the busier locations can add substantial delays. Even for people that rent different equipment in the same week.

At least the person who does should identify himself and not just approach and ask for the keys without even saying Good morning mi name is xxxxx and I will be helping you with the return process, Good Customer service should be a Must all the time! Additionally, at the register this person should explain the billing and not just let the customer guess the next step. I am aware that someone can experiment a bad day, but at he end what makes satisfied customers to come back is the type of customer service provided.

william bOriginal drop off declined to receive and check-in the tow dolly. We were pulling with a 36 ft RV. Very inconvenient and the personnel didn't care. The place we returned it (on this survey) didn't want to take the tow dolly in either. I am looking for alternatives in the future as this experience with U-Haul was beyond frustrating.

Osvel MThis location finally resolved an issue that I've had trying to get a hitch installed on my 2023 Buick encore. The saga began when I had an appointment in New Orleans. I appeared at the appointment, and the woman was entirely incompetent. She had no idea where the installer was. After a brief year at a time I was directed to another location on the other side of town. Excellent friendly folks there assured me that everything was going to be fine and that I should return in a few hours. Within an hour after while enjoying breakfast, I was notified that they ordered the wrong hitch. It was imperative that I have the hitch in New Orleans since I needed to transport items to South Carolina. So I made an appointment to get the hitch installed in Columbia. I was running late for my appointment, and was literally berated on the telephone by the U-Haul service rep. I got there as quickly as I could, and he continued to be rate me for being late. Words were exchanged, I am not proud of my behavior, but I was rather frustrated since I had no extra time in my schedule to load up a trailer and head to Fort Lauderdale. After all of this drama, he calls me and tells me the parts not even in. I was unable to transport my items from New Orleans to South Carolina and then I was not able to transport items from South Carolina to Fort Lauderdale. So I made a new appointment. This was to happen on January 6. I brought my vehicle to a very friendly service center and took a cab home to wait for the installation to continue. I was called by a representative at that location and was informed that the gentleman doing the installation was severely injured and had to go to the hospital. I told her that I would pray for him. She directed me to a second location. When I got there and entirely arrogant man seems very frustrated with the situation and could not assure me that he could continue the installation. Unfortunately, halfway through the job at the original location, the navigation system had been disconnected. I'm new to this area and all I could see on my NAV screen was my rearview camera. He told me I would likely have to bring it to a dealership! At this point, I was in tears and contacted the original installation location. She directed me to a third location. They were not able to address the situation either. I was not in tears. At this point. I was sobbing out of sheer frustration. Then the most remarkable thing happened. The young man who injured his arm, actually returned to the location to finish the job. I was overwhelmed with gratitude. The national service center for U-Haul is in completely ineffective at addressing situations. It was the kindness of individuals That made U-Haul look great, and it was the arrogance and lack of compassion that made your company look terrible. I don't think I could refer anybody to U-Haul unless it is at the actual location where the service was done. This is been a complete travesty. I now have to return to New Orleans from Fort Lauderdale Pick up items bring them to South Carolina drop them off and bring other items back to Fort Lauderdale. I estimate this will cost me at least $2000 not to mention the frustration and emotional distress that this entire situation has caused. Somebody needs to do something about this.
