Darnell MI will never return to this location. There was no one in the office when I got there. I had completed everything online and only needed my keys. There was a sign with a walkie-talkie to "use walkie." We tried to use it but no one answered. Eventually a store clerk came in and apologized. He was unable to find the keys for the van I'd reserved. The manager came in, eating Funyuns and talking with his mouth full. Gross and rude. Eventually the keys were found and he went to get the vehicle. He called the clerk and asked if I used a debit or credit card. I said debit. It's the same card that I'd always used. He said he couldn't rent to me using a debit card for the van. I never saw that on the site. Also, he said I hadn't been charged yet and I had. He said he could give me the 10' truck. I said fine. I went to return it a few hours later and the location was closed, which was fine. As I was completing the return process via app, a young woman pulled up to access her storage, which I was blocking by mistake. There was no other location listed to return the truck. I told her I would move in one second. She opened the gate and myself and one other truck pulled in to allow her to get it. When we tried to leave, the gate closed and we were stuck. The manager pulled up in a truck and got out and was extremely rude, asking us how we got in the gate. As we were trying to explain, he kept cutting us off telling us that we weren't supposed to be there. I asked him how we were supposed to get out and he said that we had to back out. He had to move his truck to allow us to back out. I have never dealt with anyone so unprofessional and rude for no reason. I will never give my business to this location again and I'm seriously considering skipping over UHaul, period when I next need a rental.

OLIVIA CRats got into my units and left feces and urine on my furniture and clothes they built a nest thank god I got my stuff as soon as I did otherwise they may have stayed all winter I had to wash all of my clothing costing over 300 dollars and put into the cleanser and have my furniture professionally cleans and all the other stuff including pictures and all it's been costly and time consuming I hate I chose this location I've never had this type of experience with any U-Haul before I'm saddened by this

BEVERLY JI recently rented a truck from U-Haul, and while my overall experience was mostly positive, there were a few issues worth mentioning. The check-in process was smooth, and the gentleman who helped me at pick-up was very kind and professional. The truck itself was in great condition and exactly what I needed. However, when I returned the truck, I wasn't given clear instructions on what to do next. When I was about to drop it off, another staff member came out and, in a rude and condescending tone, questioned why I hadn't come inside first. He said things like, "Why didn't you come inside?" and "Did you check out yet? You can't do that without the keys." At no point during the process was I informed that I needed to do that, and I didn't appreciate his aggressive attitude. Overall, while the truck and initial service were good, the attitude of the staff member during drop-off left a sour note on the experience. Clearer communication and a more respectful tone would have made a big difference.

DALE WThe printer was not working. After waiting for quite a while, we had to request an electronic receipt. We paid for 20 miles but used only 13 miles. We still haven't received our refund for 7 miles, even after adding the gas to more than where we took it.

Had to sit down and wait until I got there to sort this out and what happened was the first shift, didn't check to find out if that particular box was available he couldn't refund my money. I had to end up buying another one because of the mistake that the first guy did so I was out $550 for storage and steelhead end up buying another storage unit because the one they gave me was too small , the next day when I went there to check on my merchandise, they had the storage area blocked. I couldn't even get in there.

It's not up to the customer to ask if there's another increase looming or be shocked by the new amount that's suddenly owed. There was nothing new to justify two increases in two years for a storage unit. I saw evidence of rodent activity in my unit however nothing appeared to have gotten into my furniture or clothing. The hallway floors, bathroom, etc was typically clean. It would be a nice idea to clear the icey snow out of the driveway to allow customers easier departure in the already narrow driveway. Employees truly should move out of the way around the storage units while cleaning the U-haul trucks. I've waited about three different times for employees to move because they blocked the exit while they cleaned the trucks and even while one talked on the phone

She looks down on customers and several times she has spoken to me horribly as well I have witnessed her on multiple occasions do the same to other customers. Almost every time I have been in there she is getting into with a customer. She had her son working there and was talking to him in front of customers so bad he walked out. I reported this to management as well as corporate multiple times and nothing has been done. I was forced to deal with her and pay my money as a customer to be treated like crap. She is allowed to have an "emotional support dog " in the lobby whom runs up on you. There is zero professionalism and she acts like you are bothering her with any questions. My storage unit was broken into and it was infested with mice! They were literally running out mid day while I was moving my belongings out. I will NEVER step foot in this place again and will be posting this same review on every platform I can.

However, I cannot say the same for one staff member at the Uhaul center at 19797 Livernois in Detroit--where I originally went for my storage needs. Don't know the guy's name but he was stocky with short dreadlocks. Rude, unhelpful, and non-responsive--it was hard to coax the gentleman to say anything at all. Worst customer service I've encountered in a long time.

And received a message that if the vehicle was returned with less than a 1/4 tank of gas, I would be charged $30 extra. I went back into the office and spoke to DJ, and told him about the situation. He nonchalantly told me that was the fuel level the previous customer turned the van in with. He said I could put some fuel in it, and I would be reimbursed. My issue with this situation is the fact that UHaul would rent a vehicle with an almost empty gas tank. Having to stop for gas cuts into my move time, even if UHaul reimburses me. Does this seem acceptable ? To rent a vehicle that has an almost empty gas tank ? (I can send you a picture)

Ashley walked up to the passenger side where I sat in my daughter's vehicle with a diagnosis of long-term Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) coupled with a diagnosis of EDEMA. I could barely breathe or walk due to EDEMA and shortness of breath. But on my April 14th 2O21 I walked in the Uhaul storage officeapproached my storage office manager Ashley Carson 2 have my locked removed b/c I unintentionally lost my key through her OTP recommended LOCK SMITH Mr. Williams and independent of my oldest daughter, myself and my UHAUL storage manager managedmy storage account need! Also, there was a roach in my storage room once, but I know that is not your fault. I left a Handy Cap shower chair in the unit because I didn't want to toss it and hopefully someone can use it.

I'm like that with every one I don't want no mistakes Bill's that not mine to effects me later if I want to rent again to haunt my pockets. And I video and took photos I was clean and it documentary the time. And I check out with manager I am no longer with me John king franchise manager there I left clean out .apr 7 was rent due I move out April 9 2020 in grace period so I good but check you emails because April 11 I was email talking about I owe 20 late and I call and he said he for who I was and want due rent of 60 and together that would of be 80 and that was unfair i told hello really i am Martinez you even told me my name before...I'm good I am aggressive nature i clear it to my satisfaction.
