I booked the truck on-line for 24 hours. When I arrived to pick it up, I was told that location does not allow customers to have 24 hour rentals. I had made moving plans based on the 24 booking and had to scramble at the last minute to rearrange all the logistics for the move. Extremely frustrating!

Very busy location (very tight, not enough space for all the equipment), lack of customer parking was a bit of an issue. Customer service was very good, and in spite of having 2 customers in front of me and three being tended to, I didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes to be served.

The truck was clean but when we arrived at our destination and were unloading we discovered that there was a of leak as some of our stuff and boxes were wet. As well the drivers side door really needed to be slammed shut hard otherwise when it rained the driver got dropped on.

This was a very busy location with some very rude customers. The staff were friendly and professional. The cab of my rental was dirty and the ashtray was full. But it's a moving truck not a family rental car for a holiday. It would've been nice to know that U-Haul vehicles are not allowed through the icefields parkway. Live and learn

We booked a 24-hour rental, but when we arrived they said we can only have the truck for 12 hours and it would be more expensive than what our contract stated. That entirely screwed up our event plans. The staff said the call centre (we booked over the phone) had different rental rules than the store, which is ludicrous. I knew that uHaul customer service is awful, which is why I left ample amount of time for pickup, but after having to fight for what I already booked and paid for weeks ago, it ended up taking even longer and our event plans were delayed. I don't know why I keep using this company.

I understand why the UHAUL truck rentals and the associated billing software are measured in miles. This, I assume, is to facilitate the requirements of their American head office standards. However, I believe a printed scale conversion chart attached to the dashboard should assist Canadian drivers in making sure they do not exceed our kilometers per hour speed limits. This is particularly true in Calgary`s Playground Zones. Other than not knowing how fast I was going via the truck`s speedometer, everything went really well.

Waited in line for over an hour while I was pre-reserved. Staff on the ground was rude and ignorant while we were just entering the premises. Inside the wait was insane and the line was out the door. When we left with our trailer, they didn't do a walk around with us. We drove away and the gate wasn't closed properly and could've caused more damage. Would not recommend going here at the end of the month.

Clean up garbage in parking lot. Trash and mess. Move key dropbox next to main doors and make more visible. Move old black key boxes. Everytime we or our families have tried to rent a truck we have been charged more than once. And truck is never available when we go to pick it up. Better communication when picking up truck needed regarding payment.

When I first booked, I received online confirmation for the 24hour booking. The next morning I receive a text that my book has been changed (having me return at 7am instead of 2pm the next day). I call and a lady changes it back for me. The next day I get a nasty phone call from a lady rudely explaining how I can't have the vehicle for that long. The Uhaul was given to me with a "full" gas tank. The indicator was at the top of the gray part. When I filled it up, it actually went far past the gray part and hit a line near the F. I am angry that I had to pay for gas that someone else did not fill up and that Uhaul did not note that the tank was not actually full.

The staff was not friendly and lacked professionalism. The one counter person was eating while dealing with us and had their vape sitting in front of them. No one wants to see that. The line up was long which I get during a busy time, but while one person was at the counter, the other was taking a personal call, and the 3rd person was stocking boxes that truly could have waited. I'm certain personal calls could have waited as was stocking the boxes to help the long line up. When returning the van, the one lady was in the middle of helping us then walked away leaving us standing there to be helped by the next person. You can tell each person working there hates their jobs. The guys outside are great.

I tried the ‘express checkin’ For the first time. I had reserved a pickup truck and when I showed up to get it there was a huge line so ... I tried the express. It asked me for more photos and info I’d already given in my reservation...but great, it said my truck was out front. It indicated a unit number and advised me to get in. It then advised me to adjust my mirrors and asked if there was anything else I needed from an online person? I thought... wow, this worked well. I drove off to complete my moving. 45 min later I get a panicky call from U-Haul. She (didn’t introduce herself) tells me you took a truck?” Yes, through the app. “You didn’t complete the paperwork “ she says. Ok.but your app took all my information and it’s on the reservation. “You need to come back here (15 km away) to complete the checkout. Really? I need to stop my move to drive back to do paperwork on an express checkout to release the truck I already have? “Yes... if you don’t drive back, we’ll report it as stolen”. Really...stolen? After 10 minutes of ‘negotiations ‘ she accepted my credit card to be read to her. (Even though my reservation showed the card, my car was parked at their lot, they had mine and my wife’s number... after 3 hours I returned the truck. The clerk that addressed me as I got out of the truck was busy having a cigarette and said she’d be with me in a few minutes. I waited inside with others until she finished. When she got to me... she kindly informed me they didn’t call the police. ( I’m so lucky ??)... she went on and on about how the app and express don’t work. There are numerous glitches and I shouldn’t have left without the paperwork. I explained their U-Haul app gave me the unit number and the approval to go... but all I heard back was “we have lots of problems with Arizona”. She said I didn’t have a contract and was driving without insurance. I said “if I didn’t have a contract , and they have their truck back.... I guess I have no bill?”.... nope... they found a way to get the app to charge me and we’re able to produce my invoice. Amazing! ??. I had expected a bit of an apology for calling me a thief. I thought they might offer a discount on my next rental to make up for a bad experience.... nada. I hope lots of people read this... try their app and drive off the lot. It works great. U-Haul... I hope you read this. Good try for speeding up the process... but maybe you need to let your retailers know that you might want customers to come back? Good luck.

I rented a car trailer. It was dirty, but that didn’t affect its performance. It has a broken wire harness which I repaired as the location was overwhelmed with customers and it took me an hour to get my unit, even though I checked in online. I would recommend an express line for people already checked in. I also did not receive my notification email the day before my rental confirming availability and pick up time. I believe your policy is a $50 payment if this doesn’t happen. Please have somebody contact me for my payment.

We were met by a uhaul employee outside which saved us from having to stand in the queue for the drop off. The employee told us we were good to go and then I was sent a final invoice that was charged to my credit card for cleaning and fuel. We had swept out the truck and folded the blankets per the instructions and we had filled the truck just 2 blocks away. The employee didn't even mention the extra charges. When I received the extra charges by email that night, I emailed immediately to the address referenced in the email and it is two days later and I have not had a response. Terrible service. I will not use uhaul again and I will tell others to go elsewhere.

Customer service was poor. So, I was at the counter and my details were taken by Patricia. She made the contract and wanted me to sign the contract without showing me the actual vehicle. I asked her that I wanted to check the vehicle before I sign anything, then she told me she has other customers too and she has a big line up. I insisted her that I want to check the vehicle first. After checking the vehicle I got back to the counter and she was on her phone and took ten minutes to get off the phone. She is not at all professional. Plus , the tank was 1/4 when it was given to me. I filled it up till 3/4 and they didn't refund the money. I would definitely not recommend Uhaul. Instead, I'll go with ENTERPRISE RENT A CAR/TRUCK.

Lydia was extremely rude. There was no truck for me when I went in to pick it up even with a reservation . They found one that I was able to get at 430 from a small store that was closed so I had to go to the Blackfoot one where they made sure I had a truck. The customer service at this location is terrible and there were a few customers that were not able to pick up there rental with reservations. I stood in line for over an hour only to be treated like I didn’t matter. Worst customer service I have ever received . Blackfoot however the customer service was great and they made sure I had what I needed. More training of staff is very well needed and attitudes from staff need to be dealt with.

- we had to sweep it out ourselves prior to loading our stuff - we drove 43km and had to put $30 of gas in to bring it to the level that we received it at - felt like I was in a massage chair driving it.

First the inside CSRs told me I had to take their insurance. I told them no my insurance covers it. They said no it didn’t because there was advertising on the trailer there for you needed commercial insurance. BS I called my insurance company and I’m was covered. They guy there was very rude, not just to me but to the young lady that was trying to help me. Then I went outside to the yard and we couldn’t get the trailer lights to work, ended up being a broken wire. They unhooked it and the same rude guy comes out from inside and informs me I had to drive across the city to the NW to get another trailer. I informed him I had this trailer booked for over 3 weeks and I was going nowhere to pick up a trailer. I told them to find a fix fast as I needed to be out of the city by 3. They put the trailer into one of the bays and the mechanic fixed it. I ended up calling in to the head office. When I left there were 3 other customers on the lot that were as mad as I was. I must say the young guy that worked on the lot was excellent. I felt so sorry for him he was running all over the place. This location really needs some training. The lots guys were excellent, polite and frustrated at the hole place to say the least. Plus this customer spilt his coffee and I commented to the staff, that now they have a reason to clean these filthy floors, they just laughed. The coffee is probably still there. This lot doesn’t have a clue we’re anything is. When I finally left the office with my paperwork I had to wait for half an hour while this young guy moved all these trailers to get mine out thst was stuck in the back. How can one location, Sidney BC, be so organized and you’re in and out in 10-15 minutes, well another lot, Blackfoot Calgary, can’t figure out if they’re up or down. It was there for TWO HOURS before I left. The. Only good thing was I got a fifty dollar credit but I had to fight for it. Let’s say if there was another company to rent from I’d never use U-Haul again,

The Manager refused to come out of their office to even speak to me when I raised concerns with the front desk staff. Zero customer service. Spoken to like I was a problem and an annoyance. Further, the engine on the truck was struggling (unloaded), an entire pile of blankets which I did not order was heaped in the back of the truck as well, not did the fuel marker on the rental agreement match the gauge in the truck. Will never use this location again. Reconsidering any further use of Uhaul.

The truck was fine, but of the two rental hand trucks, one had flat tires, and the other was not fully inflated. My scheduled unit was not ready until over two hours past pickup time, partially due to a break-in the night previous, but still, my pickup was not until 11AM, and it wasn't found and ready until about 1:15PM, so I lost some important daylight travel time. Normally, this location is rated "excellent", but they were not prepared for working around an emergency. This carried over to not checking the tires on the handcarts. I'd like some improvement in the availability of 26 ft trucks, I could have moved everything I have in storage in two moves using 26 ft trucks, but now I have to make three trips.

The process (and not just this location) is slow and cumbersome. The fact that I had registered online for Express pick-up helped significantly but there are still a lot of steps to the overall action of renting a trailer. Overall, it just doesn't feel very efficient.

Had an appointment to pick up trailer at 10 AM. Arrived at 9:50 and waited until 10:35 before being served. It seemed to me that your service writers needed to fill out a great deal of forms and had to double check equipment in the yard before being able to rent anything. There were no accommodations made for customers that had appointments. First come first served. (Long drawn out process) Facility doors were automated and therefore opening and closing constantly adding to the discomfort of staff and customers. (Put an air curtain over that door! Cdn distributor AES)

The lot guy left the overhead back door up about 9 - 10" and it's a good thing I walked around the truck or I would have driven off with it open. Another female customer and myself had to close it. Not happy with the service. Parking at this location is always off site.

I have mobility issues and had to walk 3 blocks to this location as they didn't have a single parking spot, let alone handicap parking available at 7:30 am. I was offered a shuttle ride to my vehicle once I returned the unit.

Recommended lock is the round one . It is perfect , simple and easy to work. There was only one complain and that is the 15 foot van is a gas consumer. Overall and great experience and I would highly recommend U Haul.

I used mobile pick up for this rental and it didn't go well. I was directed to a street behind the location to pick up the vehicle, the vehicle wasn't there. I clicked the "can't find" button and was directed back to the lot. The vehicle it had chosen this time was in the back of the lot behind many other vehicles. At this point, I went into customer service who weren't too concerned about this and sent me to another truck that was available. The truck I got was fine but the last user had smoked in it and left ash in the ashtray. Not a big deal but it wasn't clean. This system meant to cut the pick up time down but it took me 45 minutes from arrival to departure. I have been to this location a few times and it is consistently disorganized. I will likely find a different agency in the future

Made reservation via the web site. That went smooth. Picked up rental unit on a Sunday morning. Appreciate it was a Sunday morning, but 2 queues - one for web site reservations and one for walk-ins - would have made the process more expedient. Again, although it was Sunday, drop-off of the rental unit at the end of the day seemed a little "loose" re limited number of staff, turn over of the unit, inspection and paperwork. Nevertheless, the whole process was very smooth. The price was right.

I will be phoning to complain about the charges. I was charged an extra $8 for gas, that was ok but another$20 for the extra mileage?????? What Mileage was included in my contract. Phone me 403-850-3377 please

The Customer Service was horrendous. The store/office people were very rude and very unhelpful. They obviously take no pride in there work and were miserable to be in the office. Made for a very unpleasant experience. The yard team was great, very friendly.

The booking process is a bit crazy. I talked to multiple reps with different understanding of the cost and details. I received a text with instruction to pick up at a different location, and an email to pickup at Blackfoot as desired. Confusing. The Blackfoot staff helped me out and I was able to get the trailer and service as needed.
