I've rented from this location previously and the yard is always a bit chaotic. Check in was fine but the yard seems to be a scramble. Also not sure what I accomplished by online check-in as I had to go through same questions and steps in person.James P.

Indicate the correct mileage on the agreement and make sure your customers are shown that it matches. We took a picture of the dashboard as soon as we got into the truck at 71347 but they stated on the paper it was 71305 which amounted to about a 50,00 $ difference in the overall price. We immediately knew this was wrong because the distance between the locations we were moving to and from was 2km and we made one trip. The lady we dealt with first said that they have to follow what was on the paper. She then fixed this once we showed her the pictures, but it made us feel like the entire experience was shady and that your company tried to take advantage of us. It was extremely unprofessional and I will not be renting from here in the future.Craig L.

I made an appointment at 9 am this Sunday (June 6) Morning at Blackfoot trail branch in Calgary and wait 40 minutes (9:40am) until they showed up. I arranged 2 movers at 30 $/hour and so I just wasted 60 $because of your late opining. I asked the lady why she so late and she said "its 9:40 and I am here and if you do not want to use it. Just let me know". Is this your customer service policy instead of saying SORRY ? It was the worst ever experience in my entire whole life. I will never ever use U-HAUL if I can in my remaining life.Bryan Sangho M.

I definitely rented a pickup truck on the phone but when I arrived all that was available was a cube van. When I returned it the receiving staff just sat in a vehicle like they didn't want to work in the rain. I've rented here before and it was good. not so much this time.Dave H.

The ladies that helped me were great. Didn't get her name but the lady that checked us in was awesome. She was patient with my tired grumpy self and I actually left in a much better mood. She even moved her suv so we had a place to park and leave out vehicle. The process was pretty strait forward and the staff were friendly and helpful. Great Team at the Blackfoot Location!Leah R.

The equipment and the name of the company was well presented on the product from being clean and with no mechanical issues, but the service part of the company presented by the stuff here in canada leaves a lot to desire, anywhere from customer approach that is extremely rude and absolutely disrespectful, a customer should feel as if they walk in to a business and be approached with a kind respectful manner that would make it a pleasant and positively unforgettable experience being dealt with in regards to his or hers needs. But as I mentioned above it was as if you are waiting in line for your next meal, at shelter joint for your next 24hrs of survival and the stuff are doing you an extreme favour by even acknowledging your existence there. Second the organization of the business it self was absolutely mind boggling to say the least regarding their communication with each other respectfully and also processing knowledge had a lot of lacking and unsynchronized between each other's information. Where one person says one thing and the other say another, a complete childplay! Third, lack of self responsibility on behalf of their mistakes to make it correct by the customer of any inconvenience! Absolutely a child play! Extremely unreliable from the service perspective, but the company name and equipment was of course in shape. I can't even describe the disappointment in regards to the experience that i had with the service part of the company, i am not sure what to say to anyone as a customer, its a very confusing position that im in because I don't know if I should refer this company to anyone or make sure no one i know would ever deal with this company ever again, and make sure that i let as many people as i can know of this company!gentian K.

I had online pick up, my truck was there,, while I was trying to get it , an employee came out and told me she was giving me another truck, don't know why. Then she told me to stand right there and not to move, she called me By my last name only, which to me was very rude. Her instructions were unclear , I did get a truck , I did get my job done, and when I returned , again she used just my last name to identify me. I was trying to do my return and she she said just drop it there and we'll take care of it. No pics were taken , I did take a pic of the dash for mileage for my own well being. When I received my bill there is a 30 dollar charge for safe move coverage that I did not ask for and I do want it returned to my card. Terrible ExperienceDouglas C.
Adjust the truck size recommendations, we got a 20 foot truck that said 3 bedroom, but we moved from a 2 bedroom apartment and could barely close the door.Julian W.
Picking up and dropping the equipment was extremely busy. I waited over 1 hour to pick up my equipment, and also had to wait to drop off. The site is quite congested, which unfortunately is common. However, I was extremely impressed with the manager and the staff people I dealt with. Although there was mayhem going on all around them, they were calm and friendly, which made the stressful experience much better. Great workers there.John David F.

I rented two furniture dollies. When I picked up, there was only one available yet I still was charged for the 2. I also used the phone to check in and pick up. I would have assumed that the moving supplies I rented (dolly (x2) and pad (x2)) would have been in the truck. Luckily I looked because I had to go in and wait in the line to get these - defeating the purpose of the self checkin.Kira D.

We arrived at 10am for our pickup but there was already a line out the door of about 15 people waiting in the hot sun. It took 1 hour and 15mins to even GET INSIDE THE DOOR. then it was another 20 mins until I was able to get to the counter. I'm not sure if it was a staffing issue or what. I don't fault the friendly staff working on a Sunday who were clearly doing their best but I'll admit is was quite the gong show. Most of the ppl waiting all seemed to have a reservation like me so I'm not too sure why things were so badly executed. I will definitely think twice before using this location again.Lindsay B.

Absolutely chaos while I was picking up. Keys couldn't be found, customers pulling large vehicle off the lot themselves in tight quarters. Staff seemed to be fantastical organized with the chaos and they choreographed well together. BUT customers are dumb, and we had no idea what to do or where to be.Stephen D.

Renting was easy. I did everything online and it was seamless. I had to visit Uhaul Blackfoot location a 3 days before as I was running out of boxes. Lady told me to call a day before cause I rented the 2 dollies and lady said it was first come first served. I didn't just call, I had to come physically again as I needed more boxes. Lady was so nice, she put labels and put the 2 dollies in the office for me. THIS IS WHEN THE PROBLEM STARTED. I came in,checked in online grabe my keys and asked for the dollies. I asked a staff member, he said they were out. So I said they are in the office. We went to the office and I have the regular dolly but not the furniture dolly! We then talked to the manager, just stared and apologized like she is to this incident happening all the time. I gave up and i dont want my day ruined so I left. I just wished they were more organized or have more of hot items like that. I hope this issue gets fixed for future truck renters as not having something that you rented and put on hold, really affects everything specially if there is not a lot of movers.Ricardo R.
Computer system went down. Could check in online or in store which put me a hour behind right off the bat. Location I was supposed to pick up at was changed on me which added an additional 50 km's to my trip and when I mentioned it, the person on the phone informed me that they would not be making any concessions for that. Since this happened the day before I needed the vehicle there was not much I could do about it. Wasn't very happy with the overall experience.Kathleen B.
The location had no internet or phones when we arrived. It took an hour to check us in. The staff were doing the best they could, but you could tell that the manager didn't really seem to know what to do. Then we were given a truck that was 4 trucks back, so we had to wait another 15 minutes for them to move all of the other trucks, instead of just giving us one of the front ones, which were all the same size as we rented. The furniture pads we rented weren't in the back and I had to go also someone to grab some even though I was told they would be in the back and the customer service rep at the front called them toake sure they put them in.James G.

At the start everything was great - although store was busy they were able to process everything quickly. Truck was exactly as ordered and when i got in to check the mileage was massively off. Contract stated 222 KM on truck and actual was 1,016KM. Advised the operator and they then had tried to see if I could adjust thru the Application on my phone but that failed... then for some reason they could not adjust it via their computer and then had to sort out another vehicle - I lost 30 minutes and was in need of getting to location to move stuff tied to a time that I had an elevator booked that meant I missed the timing to get into move stuff out of the location in question. To make matters worse I received a text to state that I had only 3 hours left on the rental as I was leaving the U-Haul location.... not pleased - bigger issue was with your technology that barred the operator from making the edit to the KMs on the TruckIan G.
