If I would not have called according to my reservation confirmation I would have went to the wrong location. I picked up a pick up truck to tow one of their trailers back from TN and the guy was told that several times and did not give me a ball to tow the trailer. I had to buy one in TN. I go to drop the truck and trailer off at this location and I asked him about the ball and ge said if he would have known we were towing a trailer back he would have given us one. Like I said I told him several times we were using it to tow a trailer.

Absolutely awful customer service and staff. The staff was rude, ignored us when we spoke or asked questions, did not brief us on ANYTHING (we had to ask about everything) and didn't even tell us the vehicle we rented (van) only allowed for two people to sit in it after we openly discussed the three of us driving in it. That is a complete safety hazard. Socialized amongst each other in the middle of our transaction, while ignoring our questions, and gave away one of our rentals right in front of us after we had just finished renting it. When we said something, they responded with, 'we've been busy today.' Beyond rude. Will not be back and will be leaving reviews elsewhere. Saw this location had 2 stars on Yelp and I completely understand why. HORRIBLE service. At least the equipment worked.

Owner/Manger was the only one working when I picked up in the morning and had a long line which increase my wait time. Rentals were pulling in to return. He said somethin bout using our phones to rent bt during moving it’s kind of annoying to have to do extra work, plus some of us weren’t able to connect anyway. Either way, he did handle the chaos effectively and man I have never seen a big boi run like that! At return, Alex made my return pleasurable and I’ll be back to rent next time. (Hopefully with a shorter line)

My truck rental had to be moved to this location (2201 W. Tennessee St.) because the guy at the original location rented the truck out from under my confirmed reservation, 10 minutes before I arrived to pick it up. While I highly recommend the 2201 W. Tennessee St. location, steer *way* clear of the Sunset Motel rental location at 9556 Apalachee Parkway (their U-Haul page is here: https://www.uhaul.com/Locations/Trailer-Rentals-near-Tallahassee-FL-32311/036113/). Unfortunately U-Haul's web site won't let me leave a negative review on their location directly, because they ended up changing my pick-up point to the Tennessee St. location.

The service was really good! They explained everything to me and I was able to use the uhaul for moving purposes.

This was the worst experience I’ve had. My first rental was not available. I only found this out because I called the day of the reservation, no one called me to inform me. I ended up having to do two separate rentals which cost me significantly more. On the second rental, I was called and told it was also not available the morning of my reservation which I booked on the phone with traffic and not online myself. Then we opted to just do a one way rental from Georgia to Tallahassee for the second day move and it also was not available the day of the move and the call center got all of the information incorrect. This was an absolute nightmare. I was only moving on day one, 4 miles from one location to the other. Because the rental got screwed up, I had to rent a truck from the complete opposite side of town, causing mileage to be wasted at .99 a mile. I don’t think it could have been any worse.

Return service at this location is not existent. I waited 20 mins before i was even approached. It wasn't busy. I stuck my head in the door several times and made eye contact but was ignored. 2 guys and 1 lady working. The lady must have been the only one working. The 2 guys made the lady pull the trailer off my vehicle and hand move it to its parking lane. The 2 guys working that day were lazy!

This place was very accommodating. Another location did not have my reserved truck and couldn’t find my reservation. I was moved to this location. They were friendly, accommodating, and courteous. The rental truck was clean and was a smooth ride.

The location was not the issue but the customer service was. Yes, I should have been warned about the double-charge deposit that results in a bank holding of duplicate charges...but the customer service I have received since then has been the issue. I have tried and tried again to receive help but have been ignored or shoved aside. #2261417 contains additional context of the help I've received.

Seems like only one person works here and is competent at their job. Don't allow people to make appointments if there's no one who can complete the request. Each time I came in to my scheduled appointment I had to be rescheduled due to lack of employees. After three different days of rescheduling I finally get my hitch installed. The nonsense didn't end there, my car is scratched on the back where they attempted to install the hitch and the inside of my car is filled with black dirt and stains on my seats. This place is a joke of a business. Please do yourself a huge favor and literally go anywhere else.

This has nothing to do with the site, but the amount of harassment I got setting the delivery location was over the top. I received two phone calls and multiple text messages. Obviously, I'm in the middle of moving and I don't have time to deal with all that spam. Bob's garage told me I could leave it as open, and take the truck back to whoever I wanted, obviously, that was not the case as I received repeated communications which eventually ended in a return location being decided for me after I told them twice that I would look into it after I had completed my move and it was not a priority to me at that point. While the individuals I spoke to at both the pick-up and drop-off locations where great, U-Haul corporate needs chill out and calm down.

This place was chaos. They were unable to check the truck in. The worker suggested I leave without checking the truck in. I had to request that he call his manager. Even though I was their first they helped several customers before me. Save your time and energy during your move and go somewhere else!!

The equipment (Rental Truck) was clean but not well maintained. I say, make sure all equipment Parts on the Rental Vehicles are working properly before a vehicle is rented to the next waiting customer. Double Check if you have too, in order to ensure the vehicle equipment is in proper working order including the Back Lift Door. The Rental Truck I rented, the Back Door Lift was very difficult to open. I did not discover it until I was at my residence getting ready to put my belonging inside and tried to open it, is when I found out the Back Door Lift was very difficult to open. I got the Truck Back Door to lift open finally, after 3 tries of using my physical strength.

The truck was hesitating called in the office to switch told there were no availability. However, I was still charged for the truck I did not use. I was told to call the 1-800 number but the person would not get right back with me because they were very busy. I ended up renting from another location a few dates later who had great customer service. Nevertheless, you should never have to pay for 2 uhauls, especially one that you didn't even use!

Had a 10’ truck reserved. When I arrived they didn’t have a 10’ truck, I was stuck with a 15’ truck to drive to Pensacola. Used a lot more gas than I would have in a smaller truck. Why confirm my reservation and then not have my vehicle?!!

The vehicle was essentially clean, but not what I would consider "clean." For example (I know this is picky), but the floor had some dirt as did the seat and dash board. I cleaned it before dropping off the truck as I didn't want to be charged a cleaning fee as a result.

The fuel gauge took several minutes to register. As a result, UHaul unfairly benefitted from receiving a full tank. There was no notice pf this. I should be reimbursed for 1/8 of a tank of gas.

The tires on our car carrier were not properly inflated. We had a blowout on I-75 in Tennessee which created a very dangerous situation for us. UHaul emergency services was great but they told us this could have been avoided had the tire(s) been checked and properly inflated. Otherwise, happy with the vehicle, emergency service and drop off location.

Nothing bad but maybe a few things. Johnathon & Danny was quick and straightforward but cool and nice; let customers know there will be a deposit before coming to pick up truck. I'm elderly and I couldn't find a closer parking space You guys need some elevator music or something to soothe the crazy people in long lines oh and one more thing, McKenzie may look big and mean but he's a teddy bear.

I've rented from this location in the past and they've always been awesome. This time it didn't go as expected but Alex AND mckenzy both took care of me. I avoided going to the competitor (budget) as they guys matched my original rental booking with them (although they weren't able to do it at first). PLEASE fix the systems. I came in the store a few days prior to make a pre-payment which was charged on my card but they couldn't find a payment in the system. Mckenzy assured me he would take care of the problem. I came in the day of to pick my truck up and waited over 30min for him to complete the paperwork because the system still didn't show my payment.pushed me back quit a whole lot. I can tell the staffing goes through a lot at this location and I understand it gets busy but hiring more people may help. Either way, keep rocking!

There were TONS of hidden fees. I was expecting $19.95 plus .99 a mile and somehow ended up paying $75 bucks?? The gentleman that rented me the truck didn’t explain any of the fees or anything. I had a good experience actually renting using and returning equipment? But if hidden fees are the way that Uhaul operates I’ll have to take my business elsewhere. Too dishonest.

This was my worst experience at this location. I was given incorrect information on yesterday. Returning back to the location to return I knew he was going to give me a hard time because I said something one time about him not being open on time so it was personal. He has the worst customer service. Heather the person who waited on me along with another person was present. Today Heather is their and I ask her about the situation and she says Alex is the Assistant Manager. She should have explained to him but all I can say is “Wow”! I had been a long time supporter and would rent and purchase supplies The Assistant Manager should have opened his mouth and explain instead of being unprofessional. He is wick cause he didn’t even say hello when I walked in. He says are you returning and I need the keys. He just acts like that toward me. I wish him the best. I believe the alphabet “A” is for attitude and he is terrible. I will never return and I am so sorry that I told parents about this place. I am very thankful and grateful and have been truly blessed. The Manger is one word “Awesome”. Thanks for pass experiences I had which were excellent. Thanks and wish you much success. Sincerely. Never to Return Alex Assistant Manager.
